First, a couple of things you should know when looking at this guide. [.]This is my first guide ever. [.]I have over 500 games with Renekton, and he has been my main since i was about level 20. I have looked every guide on him up and down, copied them, reworked them to be better, and have worked to make my Renekton game the best it can be. That is what this is guide is going to be about [.]I do not play very much Ranked, judge me as you will. I do plan on starting soon though. Add me if you want to do a team or something; I play on the NA server and my summoner name is the same as you can see above. [.]If part of the guide has a serious typo or you think I missed something important, let me know. I will fix it as soon as I can. [.]This guide is going to be geared toward people who already know the basics of Renekton, however, I will do my best to include the basics so that this guide can actually help you. Enjoy! (NOTE: The Eater of Souls was Renekton's title before the spotlight was released, and was changed, presumably spur of the moment, to The Butcher of the Sands beforehand. Also, his Cull the Meek used to be called Tyrant's Reach.)

[title][highlight]Pros[/highlight][/title] [.]Great early and mid game. [.]One of the best scaling ad champs in the game. [.]He does happen to be an alligator/crocodile. [.]Has a unique resource system. Trynd does not have the same thing, and he is lame anyways. [.]Can 1v2 and even 1v3 if played correctly. [.]Makes people rage quit when you win a 1v3 when you were at half health because you ulted. [.]Has a space skin. [.]For the D&D lovers that exist in the LoL community, his Blood Fury skin is a reference to the 4e dragonborn race. [.]Is one of the best Top laners. He can dominate his lane, and shut down who ever he is against. Except Fiora because she is op. [title][highlight]Cons[/highlight][/title] [.]Can fall off late game. I will tell you how to stop this later. [.]Not many good MR items for him. Hard to itemize against an AP heavy team because of this. [.]Can't really tell whether he is an alligator or a crocodile. [.]Can be easily kited if you don't have ghost or other enemies to hit with your Slice. [.]Very rarely played champ, and when he is they build him Atmog's or like a tank.

Runes are honestly all preference, but i can't live without my 25 armor pen. Combined with the mastery, i do near true damage to most people early game. Health/lvl seals, CDR(/lvl) glyphs and flat ad marks/Quints also work fairly well. Scaling and flat resists, scaling health, and armor pen/flat AD are the best runes for Renekton, however, resists are usually better for him then health. The reason for this is his ult essentially gives him free health, and because of this he scales off of resists more than health. Remember, runes are mostly preference and are designed to heavily influence the early game. Armor pen marks and Quints, and AD marks and Quints are honestly the only 2 viable things for him. If you like to roam (which i don't recommend at all) you could take MS Quints. Full AD or mixed AD and ArPen can work very well if you need an early damage advantage.

Having sufficient fury empowers Renekton's abilities with bonus effects, but this drains Fury. Out of combat, Renekton loses 5 Fury per second.[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This can help bait, but honestly your better off ignoring the 50% increase when below 50% HP. This skill honestly needs a rework. [title][img=skills/renekton/q.png] Q: Cull The Meek[/title] [number]Renekton swings his blade, dealing 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+80% Attack Damage) physical damage to nearby enemies and gains 5% of the damage dealt as Health, up to 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150. Each hit grants 5 Fury, up to 25. Enemy champions grant 400% additional health recovery. 50 Fury Bonus: Dmage increased to 90 / 135 / 180 / 225 / 270 (+). Heal percent increased to 10%, up to 150 / 225 / 300 / 375 / 450. Cooldown 8seconds Cost No Cost or 50 Fury Range 20[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Renekton's main skill for priority and lane sustain. This skill can be used effectively to bait if used with 50 fury in a cluster of minions. Since this ability does AoE damage, it can be used with Slice and Dice for effective harass. [title][img=skills/renekton/w.png] W: Ruthless Predator[/title] [number]Renekton's next attack strikes twice dealing physical damage 10 / 30 / 50 / 70 / 90 (+150% of his Attack Damage) and stuns for 0.75 seconds. Each hit applies on-hit effects. 50 Fury Bonus: Instead, Renekton attacks three times dealing physical damage 15 / 45 / 75 / 105 / 135 (+225% of his Attack Damage) and stuns his target for 1.5 seconds. Cooldown 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 / 9seconds Cost No Cost or 50 Fury Range 300[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Renekton's stun. First off, you MUST understand that Renekton is also stunned while performing the animations for this, so it can pretty much be considered a pseudo-suppression. The self stun aside, this skill is exceptionally handy in nearly any situation. It is a single target AD nuke that stuns both Renekton and his target. With a 225% ad scaling ratio with fury>50, lategame this skill on the AD carry with a trinity will deal nearly 60% of their hp and stop their damage output to the rest of your team, along with making them crap themselves. [title][img=skills/renekton/e.png] E: Slice and Dice[/title] [number]Renekton Slice: Renekton dashes, dealing 45 / 75 / 105 / 135 / 165 (+) physical damage. Hitting an enemy grants the ability to use Dice for 4 seconds. Dice: Renekton dashes dealing 30/60/90/120/150 (+) physical damage. Dice - 50 Fury Bonus: Damage increased to 67.5 / 112.5 / 157.5 / 202.5 / 247.5 (+). Enemies hit have 15% / 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% reduced Armor for 4 seconds. Cooldown 18/17/16/15/14 Cost No Cost or 50 Fury Range 250[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This skill is Renekton's double dash ability that makes him so deadly. The uses are nearly unlimited. [.]Can dash over many walls; sorry i don't know how/am too lazy to get the pic of the walls that can be jumped. Check almost any guide to find it. [.]Slice -> Dice to enemy carry, hit them with [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png], make them crap themselves, win teamfight. [.]Easy harass in lane. Some combos are as follows [.]Slice in, fury [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png], Dice out. [.]Slice in, fury [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png], [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png], Dice out. [.]Slice in, [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png], fury [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png], Dice out. (NOTE: the first combo here is easily the most useful; it takes the least amount of time, you can move while using [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png], and it avoids minion aggro.) [.]And many more i don't care to list at this time. I will probably do it later. It is important to note the armor REDUCTION that this gives when used with fury. Most people say that proper fury management separates the good Renekton players from the great. Ironically, most of these people say to avoid using your fury on this skill. If the last 2 or 3 people in a fight have too much armor for you to hurt them, hit them with this and watch them fall. Also, if, for some godawful reason, the majority of your team deals physical damage, this skill wins games. With the recent buffs, this is a phenomenal skill with fury, and can turn the tide of a teamfight by drastically increasing all physical damage for your team TL;DR this skill IS good with fury. [title][img=skills/renekton/r.png] R: Dominus[/title] [number]Renekton surrounds himself with dark energies for 15 seconds, gaining 300 / 450 / 600 Health. While active, he deals 40/70/100 (+10% Ability Power) magic damage to nearby enemies and gains 5 Fury per second.[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] The game breaker. The play maker. Anyone familiar with Nasus will recognize this skill, though it does less damage. The fury gen and instant health gain makes Renekton deceptively strong at all times. Proper use of this skill can result in, but not limited to: [.]Rage quits [.]Surrenders [.]Double kills [.]Kill steals - yes literally stealing from the AoE damage [.]Successful 1v2 and even 1v3 situations [.]Pentakills [.]Nexuskills [.]Baronkills [.](insert desired prefix)kills [.]And more!!! Proper use can't really be described, it comes with experience. Just try to delay it until after they commit, but not by so much that it wont help. Popping this while waiting to gank - make absolute sure that the gank will actually happen, if you don't, you will look like an idiot - can net easy kills since you will start the fight with a full fury bar, and extra AoE damage. Note on the health gain: The health gained from this ability is added to your current and total hp at the same time. This allows it to be used as a heal as you retain the hp gained after the ult ends. Don't be afraid to do this if you know you wont be needing it too soon, the CD isn't insanely long. It can also be used to bait like heal. This health is also very suitable for building Atma's, and is why resists scale on him more than health.

The kill potential comes with harassing them lightly to injure them, and then exploding on them with all your abilites(ult optional here). Losing your lane will only happen if you are against an Ahri, or get outplayed. [imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/r.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/r.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/r.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png] This can be an easy fix to being susceptible to a level 2 gank while retaining the lane sustain and harass -> explode kill potential. [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png][imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png] For level 1 fights The main reason that [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png] is maxed last is because it reduces total damage output because it also stuns you. Both [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png] and [imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png] can hit an indefinite number of targets. Because of this, the overall damage output goes up, and that is what we need.

[title]Starting Items:[/title] [img=items/boots-of-speed.png][img=items/health-potion3.png] [img=items/cloth-armor.png][img=items/health-potion5.png] These are going to be your most used starting items. Take cloth against tough champs like GP, Garen, etc. Otherwise, go boots. [img=items/dorans-blade.png] Doran's blade is not the best starting item, but against low sustain, low harass lanes, you will just steamroll them. Since most of the champions that applies to, however, are ranged, you need to be able to use your [imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png] to dodge some of their abilities. E.G. [img=champ/gragas.png], [img=champ/urgot.png], [img=champ/heimerdinger.png] etc. [img=items/dorans-shield.png] Doran's shield can be thought of somewhat as cloth 5 that is better the longer you hold onto it. The shield can be a great item to start against almost anyone. It provides extra health, armor, and HP/5. This is best used against low sustain champions. Because of the hp/5, you can take some extra harass, just remember to hang back a bit to regen some health, then hit a wave of minions with a 50 fury[imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png]. Between those two, you should stay at 75% hp or more. Doran's shield is also great for a 1v2 lane, because the forced passive play style in that situation is how you need to regen hp in the first place. If played correctly, you can stay in lane until level 18 with Renekton with JUST a doran's shield. Also, the extra health and armor can help when you get ganked. If you have your ult you can easily pull off a double kill. [title]Core/midgame:[/title] [img=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png][img=items/atmas-impaler.png][img=items/giants-belt.png] + [img=items/hexdrinker.png] / [img=items/the-brutalizer.png] These are your core items in no specific order (HINT: get boots finished first). An early game brutalizer will noticeably enhance your damage output, while a hexdrinker will provide a slight damage gain while also giving you that awesome, life saving, Karthus stopping shield. Also, it builds into the Maw of Malmortius. Atma's early may seem stupid to some people, but don't forget it also scales with your base hp. Every 1000 hp gives you 15 AD, and Renekton has a health buff from his ult. Also don;t overlook the fact it gives armor. A lot of people seem to think that it is only good for its passive. The giants belt will be built into a [imgsmall=items/sunfire-cape.png] later. The atma's nerf was kind of needed. Building health for damage was kinda broken, but it doesn't, or shouldn't, affect Renekton that much. Possibly a 10-20 ad difference, haven't done that math on it yet. Point is, this did not hurt Renekton that much, if at all. [title]late game:[/title] [img=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png][img=items/maw-of-malmortius.png][img=items/atmas-impaler.png][img=items/sunfire-cape.png][img=items/last-whisper.png][img=items/trinity-force.png] sell [img=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png] for [img=items/force-of-nature.png] if AP is fed. Versus heavy ap: [img=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png][img=items/maw-of-malmortius.png][img=items/atmas-impaler.png][img=items/frozen-mallet.png][img=items/last-whisper.png][img=items/wits-end.png]/[img=items/force-of-nature.png] [title]Reasonings on Core items:[/title] [img=items/maw-of-malmortius.png] After they put this lovely item into the game, I have to get it on Rene. It is finally a great MR item for him that he can utilize very well. Rushing a Maw of. Rushing that thing that hexdrinker builds into is actually very viable. Just be sure to grab a chain vest soon after, and you will face roll everyone. Renekton takes a very long time to kill, so he can easily use the 1 AD for every 2.5% hp missing, and since it gives that 400 point shield, he doesn't need another MR item unless the majority of the other teams damage is magical. Rene is also one of the best scaling AD champs in the game, so he can use that AD very well. [img=items/trinity-force.png] A lot of people seem to think trinity is bad on Rene. I know that in theory it doesn't seem good because he doesn't capitalize on a lot of the stats. Theory and practice are often different. The active from Youmuus and the MS and AS from trinity are comparable. Except that trinity gives it forever, not just for 8 seconds every 60 seconds. Also, the damage output from sheen is incredible. I would love to describe it to you, but you have to try it yourself. Also, the phage procs work very well with the increased MS, and the HP helps as well. The only stat he doesn't use is the mana. I will admit, however, that the AP doesn't do him any good. When building trinity, the parts are prioritized as follows. [img=items/phage.png][img=items/zeal.png][img=items/sheen.png] Final note on Trinity. Do not rush it. I cannot stress enough that rushing trinity on Renekton, on nearly every character, is a terrible idea. It is ok to get it. Just don't rush it. [img=items/sunfire-cape.png] I don't understand why so many people don't like this item. Sure, it isn't the most cost efficient, and the 35 magic DPS isn't a lot, but when you are in the middle of a team fight, that damage goes a long ways. By hitting all 5 enemy champs, it goes from 35 extra dps to 175 dps. Huge increase there. At least on Renekton, the item is pretty cheap for the stats it gives, and has great synergy with his ult, in both the armor, and AoE magic damage. [img=items/force-of-nature.png] Force is a great item on Rene, and after recent testing this is now in the core build. By selling Ionian Boots for FoN late game, you can peak at approx. 190 armor and MR with this, while retaining a 384 MS. Further testing will tell whether or not this item becomes a must, but sacrificing 6 MS for 76 MR is pretty good. Since you already have Maw of whats-his-name, MR shouldnt be an issue, this is great for double casters. Remeber to sell [imgsmall=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png] for it, and get it last, unless the casters are fed. [img=items/elixir-of-fortitude.png][img=items/elixir-of-brilliance.png][img=items/elixir-of-agility.png] Don't forget about elixirs, they help tremendously. Additionally, Renekton benefits from ALL of the elixirs. Red gives AD and HP. Green gives AS, which helps when all your abilities are on CD, and crit which stacks well with atma's/trinity/youmuus. Blue gives much needed CDR and, believe it or not that it helps, AP. In a sense, Renekton's ult has a 1.5 scaling ratio (.1 * 15). So the AP stacks onto you already stupid AOE damage. [title]Crap items[/title] [img=items/warmogs-armor.png]: I hate when i see a Renekton with this. RENEKTON IS NOT A TANK. He doesn't gain as much from HP as he does from resists. His ult at level 3 gives him half of a fully stacked warmog's. Also, while building this, he is gaining nothing. He gains no damage from the extra HP, he gains no CDR, or anything else. Except to have people not focus him because he is essentially a giant lump of HP. DON'T BE TRICKED INTO GETTING THIS. OFFTANKS/BRUISERS/FIGHTERS/TANKY DPS DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A WARMOG'S. I know you want to get Atmog's. DON'T DO IT. [img=items/phantom-dancer.png] I should not have to explain why this is a bad item, and I would love to know why people build this on Rene in the first place. Just stop it. [img=items/dorans-blade.png] I can understand why people would get one of these (hint: they are laning against a weak laner), but stacking them doesn't do as much as you want. 975 GP nets you 20 AD and 160 HP with 2 [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png]. With that money you could get a [imgsmall=items/pickaxe.png] for 25 AD, 2 [imgsmall=items/long-sword.png] and an HP pot for 20 ad and 150 hp, or a [imgsmall=items/long-sword.png] and a [imgsmall=items/null-magic-mantle.png] for 10 ad and 24 MR. These may not be optimal stats wise, but they build into early game items that can help Rene snowball pretty hard. Also, pressing his early game can lead to quick kills for extra gold, which helps that snowball. These items just take up precious gold that is needed to stop his late game fall off. I may not have explained it well in words, and if not then i am sorry (because i am not that good at explaining to others my thought process or reasoning behind certain things), but i assure you that it is a better idea to not get them 9/10 times. [title]Substitutes and optional items[/title] [img=items/guardian-angel.png] One of my personal favorites for Renekton. I don't always get Guardian Angel on Renekton, but when I do, I win. In all honesty, it is a great item for him. If you wanna sacrifice something from your build for it, i recommend getting rid of Sunfire or trinity. These are both exceptionally helpful, but you can't rid yourself of the others. Unless they don't know how to build armor, in which case you can get rid of last whisper. [img=items/wits-end.png] Better then you think. Trust me it is. That extra 42 damage can make your 50 fury [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png] hurt so much. The extra MR is great, and is also the reason to buy it. I know that AS isn't optimal on Renekton, but when his abilities are all on CD, he has nothing else. Might as well have as many as you can and make them count - the extra 42 damage per hit - without sacrificing good and useful stats. [img=items/infinity-edge.png] Infinity Edge can really up your damage output combined with the crit chance from Trinity and Atma's. The game is usually in the proverbial bag if you are able to get this along side a normal build. If you rush this your dps will suffer due to lack of crit chance, attack speed steroids, and quick deaths. Have fun with it if your team is stomping the crap out of the enemies. [img=items/the-black-cleaver.png] A great item if you are way ahead of the other team. All 3 stacks can be applied with your [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png], and the decreased armor combined with armor penetration will bring early-mid game enemies to near 0 armor. Gotta love that true damage! Less of a hard snowball item as Infinity Edge, and can be built mid game for damage if desired. It doesn't grant survivability, so it isn't too good if you're behind, but if you happen to be ahead enough to delay resistances, go ahead and pick it up. Your damage output with this is phenomenal. [img=items/the-bloodthirster.png] A fairly good item on Renekton due to his [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png] proccing on hit effects like lifesteal. Also, the hard AD this item provides scales very well on Renekton. Can be gotten mid-late game instead of Maw or last whisper if they don't have much magic damage or armor, respectively. If there is an item you think i need on here, comment and let me know. I will add it when i have time.

[highlight][title][center]Mercury Treads V.S. Ionian Boots of Lucidity[/center][/title][/highlight] [img=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png] VS [img=items/mercurys-treads.png] I don't see a good reason to get Merc treads over Ionian on Renekton. If you are getting focused with the CC, that means your carry is melting their face off by now. If you are NOT getting focused by the CC, that tenacity, and by relation MR, isn't doing you any good. So, if you win because your getting focused, then you still win. But with Ionian boots, if you are NOT getting focused, then you have CDR to spam more spells faster. That is how Renekton deals damage. And besides, Renekton has enough natural tankiness combined with a hexdrinker and his ult alone to survive enough damage long enough for your team to have killed almost all of them by the time you are dead. [highlight][title][center]Last Whisper V.S. Youmuu's Ghostblade[/center][/title][/highlight] [img=items/last-whisper.png] VS [img=items/youmuus-ghostblade.png] I used to use the ghostblade all day every day. But since they introduced the Maw of Mallkdsjfkshdf who the crap even knows what its called, last whisper has taken priority. Even before the Maw of Gibberish, i would find myself selling Youmuus later in the game for a last whisper anyways. This is because once they have built enough armor, that 20 flat ArPen will only go so far. A last whisper will make their armor seem like butter, especially alongside Renekton's 25% armor reduction. You can keep Ghostblade until 3 or more enemies have over 150 armor. Some people say over 100, but with flat armor penetration runes, masteries, and ghostblade, 100 is reduced to 50, and with fury [imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png] [highlight][title][center]Warmog's Armor V.S. Frozen Mallet[/center][/title][/highlight] [img=items/warmogs-armor.png] VS [img=items/frozen-mallet.png] This should not be a hard choice AT ALL. The [imgsmall=items/frozen-mallet.png] gives a good chunk of HP, some AD, and a strong, reliable slow. [imgsmall=items/warmogs-armor.png] gives HP. Also, atma's is designed to aid in offense by converting some of your HP into AD, NOT to build HP for damage. Warmog's has too high of a cost, and not enough stats to be good on Renekton. This is not saying it's bad on everyone, and that FM would be better all the time, but for Renekton specifically, the Mallet is better.

I have recently been thinking of different builds for Renekton, and this one has passed the theory crafting stage, but I haven't had time to properly test it. If anyone out there is brave enough to try this, please comment with your results, it will help me tremendously. As a final note, this build REQUIRES either a strong initiator, or dedicated tank. [center]MAKE SURE TO SPECIFY IT WAS THE ALTERNATE BUILD IF YOU DO. As a side note, IFF you are being focused, then save your ult until after GA revives you. Reviving from 0-1350 with an AoE damage aura is pretty scary. Like i said in the beginning of this section, I have [highlight][number][title]NOT[/title][/number][/highlight] had time to test this my self. It has, however, passed my rather rigorous theory crafting stage, so it should perform well. I am asking you brave souls to test this build and post your results because I have not the time to do so. Renekton does fairly well against most solo tops, so keep that in mind when you read "basically you stomp him after level 2/3/4. Push your early game advantage to snowball hard." a few times in a row. [title][highlight][center]Lane enemies[/center][/highlight][/title] [img=champ/akali.png] You dominate her very easily all game unless she gets fed. If she is against you, she shouldn't even have a chance. Expect early and frequent jungle ganks. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into an early [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] [img=champ/blitzcrank.png] Wait he goes top? If he does you cant really kill him because of dumb mana shield. Be very wary of ganks since he can bait very well, and his pull knockup combo is annoying. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] to dodge his pull. Early [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] or [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png] is recommended to survive early ganks and mitigate his damage. [img=champ/chogath.png] This CAN, keyword here is can, turn into a farm fest if you don't get an early kill or two, as he will just end up getting glacial shroud. However, don't die trying to kill him, it will just make things hard on you and your team. Once he gets farming he won't be easy to stop. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] to dodge his rupture and maneuver for easier harassment. Early [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png] is almost required to not get owned by him. [img=champ/darius.png] You counter Darius pretty hard. Your ult punches his in the face, and the rest of your kit pisses on the rest of him. Except your passive. That thing needs a rework. Anyways, once you hit level 2 start your [imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png] -> [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png] harass and laugh at his tiny damage output. Start [imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion5.png] into [imgsmall=items/ninja-tabi.png] , [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png] and [img=items/the-brutalizer.png]/[img=items/last-whisper.png] if he builds armor. [img=champ/fiora.png] Seriously, this champ can go die. Her parry stops ALL damage from your [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png], her lunge gives her stupid damage output, and her ult is broken. If you are against her, pray to what ever god you believe in, or just say in all chat "FUCK THIS" and DC. You lose this matchup 9/10. Start [imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png] [imgsmall=items/health-potion5.png] into [imgsmall=items/ninja-tabi.png] and grab an early [imgsmall=items/sunfire-cape.png] or [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png]+[imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png] and hope you can survive. [img=champ/fizz.png] You win this so hard, fizz wont be doing anything all game. Basically the same as Akali, but wait for his troll pole to use [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png], and don't let yourself be baited into a gank. Otherwise, i hope you enjoy the taste of fish, cause you will be eating well this day. [imgsmall=items/health-potion5.png] [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]. [img=champ/gangplank.png] This is usually a good lane for you. Don't let him camp the brush, and don't get over zealous. You shouldn't have much an issue unless he gets fed, in which case he will probably build GP10 like an idiot, in which case you should keep on winning. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] or [imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png] into [imgsmall=items/the-brutalizer.png] or [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png]+[imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]. [img=champ/garen.png] Much like Fiora, except you can win with patience and ganks. When he goes to silence you, activate [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png] and you can stun him before he starts judgement, so you can just walk away. [imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion5.png] into [imgsmall=items/chain-vest.png][imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]. [img=champ/irelia.png] Not much to say. You stomp her, but don't let the power go to your head. She can bait you very easily. Start [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]. [img=champ/jarvaniv.png] He can somehow survive against you and make this a farm lane. Must be his magic princelyness that does that. Start with whatever, and build into whatever based on the rest of your opponents, because chances are high that you won't be able to do anything to him. Not that he can stop you though. [img=champ/jax.png] This is a 50/50 tossup. Whoever gets the best ganks and is the better player will win this. [imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion5.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]. [img=champ/kayle.png] You will get kited. You will die. You will need ganks. You cant prevent all of that by playing VERY VERY conservatively and by NOT being aggressive until she thinks you are docile. Then crush her under your massive jaw of immense crushing. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] and [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png] [img=champ/kennen.png] Press your early game AWESOMENESS to the edge here. He can't do much without all of his basic abilities, so until then you have a clear advantage. If you use this advantage well, you can maintain it by the time he does have all of his abilities. Be careful of ganks because he can stun you pretty easily. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] [img=champ/leesin.png] Lee Sin will be a challenge for a couple reasons. First, if he is smart he will max his shield, which also provides armor, so he will mitigate most of your damage at all times. Second, he is very slippery and hard to lock down. That said, he can beaten with something as simple as patience. Bait his shield and armor, harass when it is on CD. With the recent CD nerf, this is an even easier lane. If he, for some odd reason, tries to harass you, simply [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png] -> [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png] [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] or [imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png] can work, depends on how well you think you can handle him. Follow up with [imgsmall=items/the-brutalizer.png] [imgsmall=items/chain-vest.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]. Thanks to KKumar for pointing out the lack of Lee Sin in the guide. [img=champ/masteryi.png] He will max his meditate and turn this into one of the most stale lanes ever. If you keep harassing him, he will eventually burn all his mana and you can farm. Basically the same as Jarvan, but he can kill you. Start with whatever but build an early [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png] [img=champ/mordekaiser.png] He will just hue hue farm until he can 1v5 your whole team, but in the early levels you can push him out of lane, and ruin him. His shield doesn't make him a god, you can hurt him if you try. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png] [img=champ/nasus.png] Your bother. Your prey. Your sole purpose for being here. Dog tastes a bit funny, but it will grow on you. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png] and [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png] [img=champ/nidalee.png] I haven't seen much of nidalee at all, so I'm not really sure how this lane turns out. If anyone has any info, PM me and I will add it with regards to you. [img=champ/olaf.png] Contrary to popular belief, Olaf CAN be beaten in lane. Be careful though, his true damage hurts like a bitch after a while. Early on, your fury enhanced [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png] in a minion wave can heal most of the damage back. Alongside dodging the axes and trading with[imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png] and [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png] you should have the upper hand at nearly all times. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]. [img=champ/pantheon.png] This is one tough lane. Don't expect to walk all over him, but you can prevail with caution. His passive doesn't block [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png], so that is your best bet to harass with. Watch out for jungler ganks, as you will rarely survive them. [imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion5.png] into [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]. Buy lots of [imgsmall=items/health-potion.png], you will need them. [img=champ/poppy.png] See : Nidalee [img=champ/riven.png] Alot of people say this depends on the better player. In reality, if both players are of equal skill, Renekton wins this. Bait her shield, and stun her when she uses her q to harass, then walk away. She will punish every mistake you make, so don't make any. This should be an easy, yet engaged, lane. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]/[imgsmall=items/the-brutalizer.png] [img=champ/rumble.png] His harass is a bitch to deal with. Stay back and farm what you can, once you have [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] it's all over for him. If he starts to build early armor, counter with [imgsmall=items/the-brutalizer.png] [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] [img=champ/shen.png] Pretty much identical to Rumble, except that he can come back from being shut down without much effort. You may want to wait until your first damage item before you try and fight him though. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] and [imgsmall=items/the-brutalizer.png]/[imgsmall=items/last-whisper.png] [img=champ/shyvana.png] Since she has no natural sustain, this is pretty easy lane. Be wary of being ganked, and show that half-dragon who the real reptile is! [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/chain-vest.png] and [imgsmall=items/the-brutalizer.png]. Enjoy your free money. [img=champ/singed.png] An magic damage version of shyvana with more hp regen. Stomp on him early when he cant do crap to you. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] [img=champ/sion.png] If he is AP you have a slight chance. After his stun wears off, stuns him and [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png] to gain some hp, then [imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png] away. This will not go anyway you want it to unless you are exceptionally lucky, get jungler ganks like a boss, he sucks, or i just can't fight sion for crap. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png] and [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png]. If he is AD, you are screwed, and there is virtually nothing you can do. He will stun you if you try to harass, and he will farm all day and go get fed off of mid and bot while staying top because he is that stupid. Hope you don't feed him more then he already is just by playing sion. [imgsmall=champ/talon.png] He is like a more ballsy for of Shyvana. Crap on him early, enjoy your free moneys, laugh at his futile attempts to do stuff. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png] and [imgsmall=items/last-whisper.png]/[imgsmall=items/the-brutalizer.png]. [img=champ/teemo.png] I personally love the taste of rat, and you will too very shortly. He can't anything besides feed you, and bait you into getting more fed. Junglers will gank you, but you will be able to 1v2 very easily since teemo fed you so much. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] [img=champ/trundle.png] See : Nidalee [img=champ/tryndamere.png] From what i remember, this is a tough lane because of his crit. You can take him pretty much all game unless he gets fed, so don't let that happen. [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png] and [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png] if he tries to harass you, and keep pressure on him. [imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion5.png] into [imgsmall=items/ninja-tabi.png] and [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png]. Sell tabi after laning phase for [imgsmall=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png]. [img=champ/udyr.png] Maybe the Udyrs i have faced suck, but i find this to be an easy sauce lane. You can heal through his harass, and his shield doesn't help him too much against your onslaught of win. You may not be able to kill a lot, but you can keep him out of lane pretty easy. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]. [img=champ/urgot.png] This guy is a bitch to lane against anywhere. If you try to so much as get near him, you will regret it. Stay back and dodge his noxian corrosive charge, and you should be fine. Get some jungler ganks to get a foothold, and punish any mistake he makes. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png] [img=champ/vladimir.png] This guys sustain is so annoying, and his troll pool makes sure he wont die. He will force this into a farm lane, so get what you can out of it. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] [img=champ/volibear.png] Fuck this overpowered champion. 4 of his 5 abilites are ultimates, yet he somehow hasn't been nerfed to oblivion yet. Even worse, he scales off of hp and attack speed, and those can go hand in hand if done correctly. You lose this every time. Get a lane switch ASAP. [img=champ/warwick.png] Stupid sustain, stupid damage output, stupid tankyness. Fuck this shit. Alternatively, tough it out, and get jungler ganks. You can't stop this guy alone. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]. [img=champ/wukong.png] He has no sustain, but he can hit pretty hard. Play safely early on as you can't heal through his damage. After a chain vest and some damage items you can take him, but if he has his ult you better watch out. That thing hurts like a bitch. [imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion5.png] into [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]/[imgsmall=items/last-whisper.png] [img=champ/yorick.png] This is a stale farming lane, but you can crush him easily. His ghouls give you fury and health from your [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png], so they actually work against him. You can make him go oom early because of this, and farm some levels and gold. That will usually give you enough of an advantage to take him, but if it doesn't, don't push your luck. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] into [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png], [imgsmall=items/atmas-impaler.png] and [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png]. [title][center][highlight]Jungler opponents[/highlight][/center][/title] [img=champ/alistar.png] He has a ton of CC to add to a gank, but if his laner is weak, you won't need to worry. Be extra careful is the laner is strong, as you will likely get killed. [img=champ/darius.png] Who jungles Darius? Anyways, he has to get near you to do anything, so either let it happen and [imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png] away, or just make sure he doesn't get near you on your way out. [img=champ/drmundo.png] His ganks hurt A LOT. Hes like Ali with less hard CC, and more damage. [img=champ/evelynn.png] If she tries to gank you, you are either dead anyways, or going to be fed afterwards. [img=champ/leesin.png] If he is jungling against you, be very very very careful at all times. He can kill you even if the laner is weak. He has too much armor and sustain to kill, so just leave if you see him. [img=champ/nautilus.png] A cross between Mundo and Ali. He has good CC, and good damage, but not exceptional at either one untill he hits 6. [img=champ/nocturne.png] If the laner is weak, you can pull off a kill pretty easily. If you are weak or the laner is strong, you should leave as soon as you see noct, unless you have your jungler on the way to help and he is very close to top lane. [img=champ/shaco.png] Shaco will wreck you pre 6. Post 6, you will get double kills when he ganks you. He is so squishy and easy to kill, that he basically hits you once, and then hands you a free kill. If you are low on hp, however, you will need to try and bait him into the tower with your ult. And if you don't your ult, your basically dead and it was your fault anyways. [img=champ/skarner.png] Damage of Mundo with the tankiness of Ali and the CC of Naut. Be extremely careful and wait until you either see him somewhere else on the map or he is dead to do anything. [img=champ/udyr.png] Same as laning against him, but be careful if you are not at full hp. He can gank like a boss if the laner has some hard CC. [img=champ/volibear.png] Exact same as laning.

Renekton's early game is exceptionally strong compared to most solo tops. After reaching level 2, you can begin harassing without fear of retaliation, and if they decide to hit back then they will take a decent amount of minion aggro. Remember to start with an item that counters your opponent. If you don't know what to take, take either boots and pots, or cloth and pots. Also, don't forget that you have no mana, and keep up the pressure on them with harassing. If they are stupid enough to decide to stay for some reason, once you have your stun you can easily net a kill, if not FB. If you have bullied them out of the lane then you will have an exp advantage when they return. Abuse this advantage as much as possible, as they will not have enough money to buy an item that would actually help them deal with you, as well as the fact that you will have at least a 1 level lead by the time they get back. Bully them out again, and go back and buy some items. Remember to keep yourself warded to prevent ganks. Finally, Renekton can very easily capitalize on friendly ganks if your jungler has a ranged, hard cc. [highlight]Do not be afraid to AA to build up your fury, or prevent it from going down. Renekton playing passive and not building fury will result in you losing. Unless you are 2v1. If people tell you to stop pushing your lane, they don't know how Renekton works. He passively pushes the lane, and if he isn't, then he is more then likely losing.[/highlight]

Mid game. This point of them games tends to take place in the river, mostly near blue buffs and dragon. Guess what lives in water? That's right, crocodiles, and who is a crocodile? Renekton. As fitting as the location of the battles, Renekton has such a strong presence at this point in the game. By now, you should have finished your CDR boots, brutalizer/hexdrinker, and have your giants belt. If not, then farm up a little bit, and try to force a team fight, provided they don't have a fed carry. Actually in battle, pop your ult and head straight for the carry. At this time, their ap is probably the most dangerous, but will likely be waiting for CD's while your team kills them. During this time, your 1.5 second stun on the carry will seriously hurt their teams damage out put. Remember to keep spamming your [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png] when it is up, and don't forget about a 50 fury Dice if they have a Malphite, Rammus, or someone with more armor then they should. In an equally farmed, equal skill level situation, the team with Renekton should be able to win the team fights. The AoE damage from your [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png] and [imgsmall=skills/renekton/r.png] will be dealing enough damage to all of them for your team to make some easy kills. Just remember to play smart, and drop that carry. Alternatively to fighting, Renekton's AoE attacks excel at pushing lanes. If nothing interesting is happening, go push a wave or two of minions to an enemy tower. Just be aware of MIA's, and play it safe.

Renekton CAN (this specific can is the key word of this section) fall off late game. The reason is that he is usually built too tanky by most people to actually make much of a difference. This problem can be remedied in a few ways. [.]RENEKTON IS NOT A TANK. [.]RENEKTON IS NOT A TANK. [.]RENEKTON IS NOT A TANK. [.]FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY, RENEKTON IS NOT A TANK. Hopefully you understand what I'm trying to say at this point. [.]Since he isn't a tank, he shouldn't be built like one. This means that his damage won't fall as much as people think it does. I am not saying he shouldn't be tanky, but that RENEKTON IS NOT A TANK. [.]Renekton's damage will still fall off though, and to prevent this you can build one, or multiple, of several items to fix this. [.][imgsmall=items/last-whisper.png] [imgsmall=items/maw-of-malmortius.png] and [imgsmall=items/trinity-force.png] all stop him from dropping off late game. Team fight rules are still the same as mid game. DROP THAT CARRY. If you have a trinity, your 50 fury [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png] will make the carry crap themselves when they are suddenly missing roughly 60% of their hp. After the carry died, make your best decision on who should die next. As for Baron, well honestly, there isn't much to say here that is atypical for Renekton. If your team can deal and tank more than enough damage for Baron, you can essentially be a living ward for your team by checking the areas right around Baron and making sure they won't try to steal it. This is mostly because Renekton doesn't do a significant enough amount of damage to Baron for it to matter in the time it would take to kill him.

[.]RENEKTON IS NOT A TANK!!!!!! [.]Trinity is surprisingly good on Rene, i was skeptical at first, now i make sure to get it after Sunfire. [.]Don't forget that [imgsmall=items/maw-of-malmortius.png] gives you that 400 point shield. It makes up for the low MR end game. [.]Don't get Atmogs. Warmog's is terrible on Renekton, Sunfire is way better. Remember that he scales off resists more than health, and Sun provides both. [.]RENEKTON IS NOT A TANK!!!!!! [.]Renekton is not a carry, STOP BUILDING PHANTOM DANCER. I have seen too many for this to be a joke. [.]Interior crocodile alligator. I highly recommend listening to this before playing Renekton. [.]RENEKTON IS NOT A TANK!!!!!! [.]With his ult and Sunfire at the same time, his sustained damage is nothing to scoff at. Just because your abilities are on cd, your AA's combined with 135 damage/sec can be pretty painful to them. [.]RENEKTON IS NOT A TANK!!!!!!
