Hello there, I'm Jay. You've never heard of me and I don't consider myself a good player by any means, but apparently I am statstically better than 99.9% of the League community, so I thought I'd share some words of wisdom for whoever wants to improve as a League player. By the time this guide is posted I am in Diamond on EUW. As a player my biggest strengths are my champion awareness and item knowledge which is why I feel qualified to write guides. I put a lot of effort into my guides as I do feel like making nothing but high quality content. I hope you'll learn something useful from this guide. Enjoy. YouTube If you feel like it, then you can give this video a shot and check out my YT channel. [vid=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xjd-Eq1rjM] [big]Akali pros and cons[/big] Akali is a high mobility assasin with a lot of single target burst damage. The purpose of Carry Akali is to build damage, dual people 1v1 and assasinate priority targets in skirmishes and teamfights. [big]Pros[/big] * Can snowball out of control. * Scales well into late game. * Has potential to clean up an entire team through resets but unlike Katarina she does not RELY on resets. * Get's ridiculous amounts of sustain with Gunblade. [big]Cons[/big] * Get's countered hard by CC (what assasin doesn't). * Very weak lane phase (pre 6). * Very item dependent (Zhonya's for teamfights).
As situaional as your item build... so not that situational xD ....generally max Q first then E for highest damage output.
Spell Rotations Pre 6: -auto--. Pretty simple stuff, most of the time you will have to start running away from your opponent right after getting your auto-attack or off. Weave auto attacks in between spells and trades to the best of your ability. It is especially important that you proc your Q. Post 6 slow: -wait for cooldown--auto--auto-. This baby is know as the double proc. The cooldown on your Q will eventually be so low that you can wait for it to come back up again before the mark on the opponent is gone. This allows you to proc 2 Q's really quickly in a row for some massive magic damage! If the opponent doesn't have a pink ward or a sweeping lens they can't really trade back, which is ridiculously good for you, because you can just stay inside the until your cooldowns are gone and then do the same -auto- rotation again. And generally, don't forget to throw some 's in there for good measure, if you can. Post 6 fast: --auto-. Sometimes in higher yolo queue you can't get away with using your before you charge towards the enemy. It is simply way to obvious that you are gonna go on them so they will just use a mobility spell or flash away before you get to them. Also, when you use your first it is extremely easy to stick to people because of your Gunblade, Potentially Rylai's and of course the 2 remaining charges of . Remember to use the Gunblade active even if you are gonna pop Zhonya's, it will set up your team to follow up on your engage onto whoever you went on. Early Game Lv 1-6 Akali is extremely weak early game. Your goal is to get even in CS without dying. In a melee match-up, use on the enemy whenever you can so that they have to take the extra magic damage if they actually go in on you. Just auto-attack then once and walk away. You should lose these small trades but with the right runes and some help from your minions, maybe things wont be so bad. Try to sustain, learn how to last hit under turret with her and whatever you do... don't die. Don't forget that your gives you bonus movespeed so you can use that if you need it to dodge skillshots unless you have a feeling the enemy jungler is nearby because then you'll need it for surviving ganks. It also slows enemies so it can be used offensively as well. Don't forget to use it when you are done with your combo when you engage at lv 6 (if that is the case). This forces your lane opponent to buy pinks wards. Otherwise you will win lane past lv 6 for free unless you get harrased too much to really do anything.
In teamfights, try to 100-0 the enemy ADC and use your Zhonya's wisely in the process. Akali is one the most fun champions to play in my opinion because she allows the player to be creative. Not that much in terms of item builds, but the way she can dash around gives her so much potential. The best tips I can give you are: Learn to master her and always mind your surroundings. A lot of the times were you would be screwed on so many other champions, Akali finds a way out.
Thanks for taking a look at the guide. Constructive critisism is much appreciated. You can ask questions and leave comments down below. Finally, don't let guides and LCS games limit your creativity.
