[title]Who I am[/title] I'm just an average Diamond V player who has a love for Nasus as well as the unique playstyle of his off-build. What I mean when I say \"off-build\" is that I like to build Nasus in a way that is unconventional and uncommon e.g. AP Nasus [title]What this guide is about[/title] AP Nasus is a build that is very commonly referred to as a \"troll build\" but in reality it's not as terrible as people make it out to be, he has pros and cons like every champion and build but I believe that in this case the pros balance out and in some cases even outweigh the cons. Now this is probably where a lot of opinions differ from mine, the majority of people believe that because nasus requires no/minimal damage items to deal decent damage that the best strategy would be to build him as a tank with a little bit of AD/ArPen mixed in to help him chunk. Now this train of thought is not wrong, it's just that I see things a little differently. I believe that since Nasus requires so little AD/damage items to deal a significant amount of damage with his Q, why not expand on that by adding even more damage? Now most people would think that the most logical course of action following this train of thought would be to build large amounts of AD and lifesteal. I believe however that it is more effective to build AP/MPen in order to compliment his already significant physical damage with a nice amount of magical damage. [title]How/why I started playing AP Nasus[/title] One day I watched an AP Nasus video guide that made some good points as to why Nasus when built with AP items could be quite potent. From there I decided to start experimenting with builds and skill orders and tried as best I could to work out what was optimal. After I had gotten the hang of this build I found it amazingly fun to watch entire teams melt in the presence of my ult and spirit fire. For those interested, the video can be found here: [youtube][/youtube]

[highlight]Pros:[/highlight] [.]Limitless damage potential with [imgsmall=skills/nasus/q.png] [.]Decent burst [.]High AoE damage [.]Great farming capablities [.]% Health damage [.]Strong pusher [.]Can disable carries [highlight]Cons[/highlight] [.]Squishy [.]Item dependant [.][imgsmall=skills/nasus/e.png] Pushes the lane [.]Easily kited [.]Easily harassed pre-6 [.]Mana hungry

[img=items/liandrys-torment.png] Liandry's Torment works like this: It will burn 1% of the enemy's current health with each tick normally and it will burn 2% of the enemy's current health with each tick if the enemy's movement is impaired. Each Tick lasts 0.5 seconds. The total duration of Liandry's Torment, assuming it doesn't get reapplied, lasts 3 seconds. If an enemy with Liandry's Torment still burning takes magic damage the duration is refreshed and the damage remains unchanged. If a champion with Rylai's Crystal Sceptre and Liandry's Torment uses a magic damage dealing spell it will proc the burn 2% of the enemy's current health each tick effect. This means a full duration level 3 Fury of the Sands + Liandry's Torment will do 3% of the enemy's max health + 2 x 1% of the enemy's current health each second normally and 3% of the enemy's max health + 2 x 2% of the enemy's current health each second when the enemy's movement is impaired.

Wards are extremely cost efficient and 100% necessary. Warding is not just the jungler's and support's job, everyone should do it. Here is a little map of important areas to ward. [imgext=]

Early game as Nasus should be focused passively farming and stacking up your Q when possible. After level 6 you should try to whittle down the enemy laner's health untill you can all-in them with your ult. Beware of overextending and getting ganked because you're melee and have no escape. If you find yourself being bullied in lane, you should turret hug and ask for ganks as your wither is a great spell for helping lock someone down for your jungler. [highlight]Remember to ward[/highlight]. If your team decides to go for dragon you should push your lane out and go support them. Saxon is trash at Zed.

Remember to keep farming your [imgsmall=skills/nasus/q.png] when possible. This is when you should start roaming and assisting your team e.g. helping them steal buffs, take buffs, take dragon, push lanes and take towers. If you wish to go in for a quick burst kill your combo is: [imgsmall=skills/nasus/w.png]>[imgsmall=skills/nasus/e.png]>[imgsmall=skills/nasus/r.png]>[imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png]>[imgsmall=skills/nasus/q.png](as many times as possible).

Late game is all about teamfights and global objectives. If you didn't get shut down and you've farmed your [imgsmall=skills/nasus/q.png] enough, you should be a high priority target. At this point in the game you should always be grouped up with your team, trying to take objectives, unless your quickly pushing a lane or defending a tower. If there are enemies out of position, an instant [imgsmall=skills/nasus/w.png] is amazing for locking them down so your team can folloe-up and melt them.

In a team fight your job is to cause as much damage and disruption as possible. Make sure to let your tank initiate as AP Nasus is not beefy enough to initiate himself, without dying instantly. you shouldn't waste your ult untill you know the enemies have comitted to a fight or they have been locked down because they will merely walk away and re-engage when the effect wears off. [highlight]Always wither the enemy team's AD Carry[/highlight]

Thanks for reading my guide, if you have any questions or comments feel free to leave them below. I Hope I have helped you to understand the fun and strengths of AP Nasus, if you are still on the fence as to whether to try give ap nasus a go, try it in an ARAM and see what you think. If you like my guide give it a thumbs up and if you gave me a thumbs down I would love to know what I did wrong in your opinion and how I could improve on it. Peace :).
