Hi, my ingame name is FabulousFB and im a Gold rated player on EUW. Due to my lack of mechanical hard skills i try to get an advantage through unconventional builds and tactics. When i tried out the following Udyr build i figured out it works extremely well,so i wanted to share it with you guys. I hope you enjoy it and can benefit from it as much as i do. Reasons for AP-Udyr: This Udyr build is more a Peeler than a Bruiser. It is very strong against squishy teams and has a quite good split-push potential [highlight]Pros:[/highlight] -Phoenix stance scales very good with ap (+125%) -Your turtle stance soaks even more damage -Quite good Aoe damage in teamfights -Awesome clear speed -Extremely Tanky -Peels quite well [highlight]Cons:[/highlight] -No real gap closer so you often have to burn your flash for successful ganks -Can't initiate teamfights. English is not my native language but i think it should be possible to understand everything, but it would be nice if you tell me about my mistakes. Also there might be some typos i dind't find.

[highlight]Greater Quinessence of Movement Speed:[/highlight] In my Opinion mobility is one of the most important factors for junglers in Season 3. Gives you a little more time to gank and reduces the time you spend walking between minion camps. Also helps to reach your target when ganking. [highlight]Greater Mark of Attack Speed:[/highlight] Helps you jungle a little bit faster, another option would be magic pen if you think you dont need it. [highlight]Greater Seal of Armor:[/highlight] Not much to say, take it. [highlight]Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist:[/highlight] Most of the time this is the best option. If the enemy team lacks an AP carry you might go for AP instead.

[title][img=skills/udyr/p.png] Passive: Monkey's Agility[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] This passive is quite good for a Jungler. When you have a blue buff you should always try to keep three stacks. Also build up your stacks before ganks or teamfight because the extra Armor and MR will reduce the enemy damage quite a lot and even if you don't have extra AD your autoattacks still hurt in the early game. [title][img=skills/udyr/q.png] Q: Tiger Stance[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] You don't really have use for this one, max it last. [title][img=skills/udyr/w.png] W: Turtle Stance[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] Earlier in the game you will slightly miss the high sustain this ability usually provides. But as the Game progresses this Skill gets a real pain for your oponents. The reason therefore is that it has a 50% scaling with AP. This might not seem much but you get it every 6 second what means if you got 200 AP (which you will reach quite easy as you already get 48 from your phoenix stance) this means you can soak up 320 damage each 6 seconds, this is nearly as much as a giants belt! Together with the additional Armor and MR from your passive and your innate tankiness your opponents will have a really hard time getting you down. Always max this second [title][img=skills/udyr/e.png] E: Bear Stance[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] Take a point of this as soon as you want to gank. Ganking straight after blue is often very rewarding so you may want to but a point into this as soon as you reach level 2. Another option is to put your first point into it at level 4 because Udyr has an awesome clear speed what means you can consider clearing your opponents jungle first, leaving him behind in levels and getting a clear advantage above him. Maxing this skill won't really help a lot so max it third. [title][img=skills/udyr/r.png] R: Phoenix Stance[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is what makes AP Udyr strong. There are very few junglers that will be able to keep up with your clear speed. This gives you much room for counterjungling and lots of ganks. Have in mind that even if your ganks are very weak compared to other jungler showing much presence on all lanes will put pressure on your opponents and give your laners an advantage even if you don't get any kills. Has one of the highest AP ratios in the Game (Rumbles flamespitter has 135% to have an comparison) Always max this first

I am no fan of fixed buy orders. Which item you buy in which order mainly depends on the game. Watch your enemies team comp and react on how the game develops. [title]Core Items[/title] [imgsmall=items/boots-of-swiftness.png]Udyrs main problem is that he has no real gap closer so you'll want to keep the enemies cc as low as possible. The new boots of swiftness reduce the amount of slows (not the duration) by 25 percent. Together with your bear stance, your masteries and the tenacity from the Spirit of the ancient golem your enemies will need tons of cc to stop you, meaning it won't be available for the rest of your team. [imgsmall=items/spirit-of-the-ancient-golem.png]As long as the enemy team doesn't lack any cc you want to buy this for the tenacity. Furthermore it helps you clear your jungle faster and provides you with some extra health. Really nice item to have. [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png]Gives you some extra health and AP. Also it works nice with the aoe of phoenix stance giving you some extra CC. [imgsmall=items/sunfire-cape.png]Makes you tankier and gives you a little bit of extra damage [title]Offensive Options[/title] [imgsmall=items/liandrys-torment.png] Due to the fact that your Phoenix stance will permanently deal damage to your enemies and everyone is running around with Warmogs atm this is a very nice choice on Udyr. The magic pen and ap also increase your damage. [imgsmall=items/lich-bane.png] You really spam abilities, so this is one of your best choices to increase your damage potential. Also helps getting towers down quicker. [title]Defensive Options[/title] [imgsmall=items/runic-bulwark.png] Nice item, someone in your team should always have Aegis. Bulwark is optional [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png] It is an option, but if you want to take it get it early [imgsmall=items/abyssal-scepter.png] You can really use all the stats this item provides, if you AP carry doen't get one don't hesitate to pick one up. [imgsmall=items/twin-shadows.png]Has been better, but the gp10 by kages makes it an option [title]Other Options[/title] [imgsmall=items/zhonyas-hourglass.png] The Armor and the AP are nice but you won't have as much use for the active as other champs. [imgsmall=items/shurelyas-reverie.png]An early philosopher stone gives you some extra gold. Later on you can build it into shurelyas

After the laning phase you mostly will walk around with your team as it is the best thing you can do. When walking around with your team walk in front as you are able to tank a lot of damage. [title]Teamfights[/title] Before teamfights you will stand in front of your team, using your turtle stance to soak up the damage your enemies throw at you. You have no chance to initiate. Either wait for the enemies or one of your teammates to do so. As soon as the fight starts you don't run straight onto the enemie carry as you wont be able to kill it. Your job is to stay between your carry and the nearest enemy peeling them off with your Bear stance and soaking up their damage with your turle stance while dealing some damage in return with your phoenix stance. [title]Split pushing[/title] In some situation split pushing may be an option. Even though you arent very strong 1v1 the fact that you can push lanes incredibly fast and are always(There is really no chance they might kill you if you just use w and e) able to escape, this might help you get a tower or even an inhibitor for your team.
