Hey everyone, and welcome to my Kayle guide. Lets clear some things up right off the bat -Kayle has excellent early game & powerful lane dominance -Kayle is not a carry nor a support. she is a HYBRID, she is probably the cloest thing this game has to a true hybrid. Her late game damage will not be as powerful as a real carry, nor will she be able to support quite as much as a full support, but she will be able to both support & put out consistently powerful dps at the same time. -Her late game really isn't very incredible, despite her excellent scaling thanks to her passive, in team fights she is really only able to put out damage while her E is up, which kind of forces you to max out your cdr, because of this, a true ranged carry is going to do more damage then you - finish your core and LET THEM FARM. now lets move on to the guide!

Champions with incredibly high sustainability in a lane will be difficult to kill after a few levels, your option is to kill them early or swap lanes really, you shouldn't ever just be in a farm fest versus someone, thats not utilizing your full potential. Bad enemies: Lane-udyr Lane-wick Chogath Singed etc. Also, for fun combos with your ultimate, try things like Fiddle + kayle Kat + kayle Twitch + kayle. Basically squishy champs with super high damage output

With runes, its important to keep in mind the following thing Kayle is about half magical & physical damage, so building arpen or spell pen only benefits half of your damage, and therefore half the value. Factor in the extra stats kayle gains through Ad & AP and it becomes even more clear - build AP & AD. So reds: Flat AD. Best option really, Attack speed is DECENT but flat AD benefits your passive as well as makes your farming and lane domination abilities maximum. Blues: AP per lvl, I prefer these to flat AP runes as they balance out by level 6, and a few extra AP early on really doesn't do a whole lot. value is key. Yellow: Mp5 per lvl. Kayle IS going to have mana issues, this is why we rush 2 dorans rings, yellow runes do make a noticable difference, especially when we aren't getting meditation. They are key. quints: Flat AP. Best choice really, Flat AD quints give about as much a 2.5 flat AD reds, while flat AP give as much as 5 flat AP blues. At level 1 we will have 611 hp, 73 AD, and 52 AP with a dorans ring - pretty nice eh?

[title][img=skills/kayle/p.png] Passive: Holy Fervor[/title] [number]30% of Kayle's attack damage is added to her ability power and 15% of Kayle's ability power is added to her attack damage.[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Its her passive, its really good. hopefully Riot doesn't ruin it. People think its only good late-game, but in reality it gives her lots of stats right off the bat with proper runing, and makes her early game incredibly powerful. [title][img=skills/kayle/q.png] Q: Reckoning[/title] [number]Blasts a target, dealing 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 (+80% of ability power) magic damage and slowing its movement speed by 25% for 4 seconds. While the target is slowed, Kayle inflicts 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 16% increased damage to them. Cooldown 8seconds Cost 80 / 85 / 90 / 95 / 100mana Range 650[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is your bread and butter nuke. Shoot it at people, activate your E (Righteous Fury), and watch people melt. We prioritize this because the increase in damage taken compensates for the extra damage you would have received by leveling E, factor in the nuke itself and it ends doing more damage. If you can't attack people with E, just use ur Q, run in, run out. it has solid range and is a great harassment tool, can be combined with your W (divine blessing) so you can run in and out without a problem. Use this a lot. [title][img=skills/kayle/w.png] W: Divine Blessing[/title] [number]Blesses an allied champion, healing them for 65 / 100 / 135 / 170 / 205 (+50% of ability power) health and increasing their movement speed by 12% for 10 seconds. Cooldown 10seconds Cost 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80mana Range 1000[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This skill is pretty solid. with a bit of mana regen its essentially a permanent 12% speed increase, its also great to throw on carrys / people with stuns when your chasing down enemies. Its a decent heal too - once you have your doran rings you can use this in laning phase to keep yourself sustained, also nice to dodge skillshots... etc. Very useful, get 1 pt in this early and then max it after your Q. [title][img=skills/kayle/e.png] E: Righteous Fury[/title] [number]Kayle's attacks strike at range. These attacks splash, dealing an additional magic damage to her target and nearby units take 20 / 25 / 30 / 35.5 / 40% of her attack damage plus magic damage. The total bonus damage is 4 / 10 / 16 / 22 / 28 base damage plus (+30% of ability power). Cooldown 22 / 21 / 20 / 19 / 18seconds Cost 65mana Range 20[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This skill is really strong, but not so strong that leveling it up a whole ton is worth it. 1 point in this early, and then let it be. Activate it to CS things u cant reach otherwise, and to harass & kill champions as well as enemy towers. [title][img=skills/kayle/r.png] R: Intervention[/title] [number]Bathes Kayle's target in a holy light, rendering them immune to all damage for 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds. Cooldown 90seconds Cost 100 / 75 / 50mana Range 1200[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Beautiful Intervention. A skill with so many uses and yet I see a lot of people use this in its worst possible way: waiting until an ally is 1 hit from death. Don't do this, I'm not saying don't save an ally if you can, but this skill is best used BEFORE the damage happens. For example if an ally is stunned and the enemys are about to burst him down, ult right as the burst starts to waste the enemy cool downs & Damage, then you can easily counter-initiate. Its also great for tower diving!

As explained earlier, leveling Q first is better then E due to the increased damage taken and small benefits of leveling E. Leveling W over E is personal preference, I like the extra heals. E is last. Ult at 6-11-16. Yeah.

Dorans rings for mana regen, ap, survivability - they are excellent. Merc treads because good teams will have lots of CC, otherwise zerker greeves or Ionian are ok too. Guinsoos is excellent for kayle, makes her incredibly strong, goes well with her passive, and gives her some much needed attack speed. Nashors is crucial for getting that max cdr, as well as a little mana regen (always nice) and some much needed attack speed. With blue elixir + nashors and our masteries, we will have 38% CDR, this is pretty good. After that... I like to get Guardian Angel, because I like to be a real angel. Honestly though, you can get whatever you want after your core.

I generally try to get top solo. Mid is ok too, but top is better. Control the lane, you ARE the dominant being, go in for farm as needed, if your foolish enemy dare harasses you, turn on your E and show them who hits harder (thats you btw) just be careful of the enemy minions as they will turn to attack you. Brush is a good way of getting them off you as is a hit and run strategy. By level 3, you are pretty amazing. You have a slow, a heal, a speed up, and incredibly powerful auto attacks. Punish ANY enemies that dare give you the opportunity. Q them, activate E, and wail away. Don't miss any potential kills. Ignite + flash are excellent for grabbing first blood. Play AGGRESSIVELY, farm and harass whenever a moment is available. The only downside to this is you are vulnerable to ganks. ALWAYS keep your lane warded, from the first trip back. It's easier to do this in top lane, which is why I prefer it, keep a ward up, try to watch the map, and pay attention to mia calls - you don't want to be ganked. However if you are, its not the end of the world. You have a slow down, a speed up, and a heal. Maneuver your way to freedom! Generally, this phase of the game is where you will farm & control your lane. Kayle excels in a lane and if you play passively you are not living up to your full potential. if your enemy is in ANY way squishy or ballsy, punish the hell out of them.

Oh you fancy huh? mid game, you got your rageblade, you strutten around like a baller, saving people, judging people. Who are you to judge? YOU'RE KAYLE, THATS WHO! No but seriously. You are strong, this phase of the game is the most unpredictable. If laning phase is going on and your enemy tower still isn't dead yet, keep farming and controlling your lane, if you are desperately needed elsewhere - then go help out! clutch ults can turn fights around as well as your incredible damage output at this point in the game. People don't have many defensive items yet, so with ur E activated and rageblade stacked you WILL melt people. Not much to advise here, farm, kill, save people. Do whatever is needed, always keep a ward up. Good spot is enemy jungle entrance / dragon / your lane (if your still laning) Work on finishing your core but don't put that above helping allies in need.

Ok, you should have your core now, or just about, its more difficult to farm and honestly you really shouldn't be farming much unless your team is completely relying on you. But its generally better to give more farm to the real carry's. Yes, your not a real carry, your a hybrid, accept this or play a different champion. Once you have your nashors tooth, try to keep up a blue elixir as much as possible, the max CDR (or almost) is pretty essential to all forms of fighting. You need to be with your team, you need to have fast reflex's, your Q has good range, so its ok to poke with that. Heal allies in need of healing, speed up allies if they are chasing or running away, and be ready on your ultimate. Keep up a ward on baron, and just try not to die.

Kayle's role in a team fight is mostly dependent on her ultimate. a Good ultimate can really win a fight. For example, your enemy carry is hit by a taric stun or something, the whole enemy team desperately tries to burst your carry down in hopes of winning the fight, ult him EARLY and at the right time to maintain his entire health bar as well as waste enemy cooldowns, then simply counter initiate and kill them before they can recover from there fuck up. You should be spamming your skills every cooldown, Q people who need to be slowed down or nuked, W people who need heals or to be sped up, keep your E activated and swing - if your being ignored, try to target a squishy, you will melt them pretty quickly. but overall, teamfights have so much AOE these days that you will usually end up supporting more then damaging, the thing is you need to be able to balance both. A good kayle knows when to dps, when to support, and how to balance both at the same time - this will take practice, she isn't the easiest champion in the world. To me thats part of the appeal, if you don't like that GTFO.

So thanks for reading my Kayle guide. If I left anything out / you have any questions, feel free to post them and I will attempt to get back to you in a timely manner! Thanks to Master of LoL for letting me carry him so much. Lastly, and most importantly: Kayle is NOT a lesbian, its just that no man is good enough for her.
