[center][img=champ/akali.png][/center] Hello, my name is Esthaniel and this is my Akali guide. She is considered a strong pick in the right hands but situational at least. Despite having no form of reliable CC (except [imgsmall=items/hextech-gunblade.png] or [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png], Akali is one of the best 1v1 and clean-up killer champs. Akali was nerfed in some areas, but can still snowball extremely hard. It is possible to jungle with Akali but this guide solely concentrates on the lane aspect. [title]Pros:[/title] [.] exceptional burst damage [.] exceptional chasing capabilities [.] great farmer if executed right [.] safe laner due to sustain, stealth and low-CD single target nuke [.] uses energy, therefore can't run out of juice or has to recall to get mana [.] scales greatly with some items [.] stealth with increasing defensive stats [.] hard to catch in lane (read: minions nearby) [.] one of the hardest snowball champs in the game [title]Cons:[/title] [.] defense and health hardcounters her [.] no hard CC [.] no CC before [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] or [imgsmall=items/hextech-gunblade.png] or redbuff [.] high risk high reward, has to stay in melee range to deal damage [.] gets countered by non-target area spells, [.] oracles and pink wards [.] hard CC and silences screw her [.] tanky teams destroy her

[imgsmall=skills/akali/p.png] explains the greater part of them. Someone recalculated the runes and could achieve a small gain in mid and late game damage.* You need 20 AP to activate one passive. [center][title]QUINTS[/title][/center] 3x Quints a [highlight]5 AP[/highlight] +5 AP over masteries at level 1 solves that one. [center][title]MARKS[/title][/center] You need 10 AD to activate the other [imgsmall=skills/akali/p.png]. 3 AD come from masteries, 7 from runes - AD Marks. Fill in the 2 left spots with magic penetration. [center][title]SEALS[/title][/center] The Seals: [highlight]HP/level[/highlight] is most common and will serve you well in most cases. If you start [highlight]mid lane[/highlight], you should use these. Alternative: [highlight]13 armor[/highlight] to help top laning. [highlight][center]GLYPHS[/center][/highlight] Magic resist per level helps your mid laning and mid game.

To help a better understanding of Akali, it is necessary in my opinion to break down the numbers of Akalis damage and styles. [title]General separation into physical and magical damage.[/title] First off, the most part is magical, hence magic resistance is most effective against Akali. Examples for this sort of damage: [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png][imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png][imgsmall=skills/akali/p.png] The second part is physical, so armor screws Akali as well. You want to avoid high-armor targets if you have something else you can focus on. Examples for this sort of damage: [imgsmall=items/lich-bane.png][imgsmall=skills/akali/e.png] and auto-attacks. Note that [imgsmall=skills/akali/p.png] scales off auto-attacks hence decreasing your physical damage results in decreasing your magical damage component even further. [title]Breakdown by source.[/title] [center]Now, to understand how and why Akali works and works not, some quick suggestions about her abilities.[/center] [center][highlight]Magical damage[/highlight][/center] [center][img=skills/akali/p.png] [/center] increases the damage you deal from auto-attacks (including [imgsmall=items/sheen.png] procc) and [imgsmall=items/lich-bane.png]. The more AP you get, the stronger you hit with your melee attacks. The more AD you get, the harder your melee attacks hit and the greater is the benefit from this passive since its percental. This passive is the reason [imgsmall=items/sheen.png] and [imgsmall=items/lich-bane.png] scale so greatly with Akali. Increasing your AP by 572 will result in your melee-attacks dealing double damage. [center][img=skills/akali/q.png] [/center] This ability is considered as Akalis main burst and core ability. The first part is a single target range nuke, the second part triggers when you melee the target with your [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png]-debuff on it. It's single target, so it provides the full slow from [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] (both parts separately). The cooldown is shorter than the duration on your target, so you can [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png], wait for cooldown, auto-attack, [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png], auto-attack for a larger portion of burst. This ability scales poorly off AP (40%) for each part looked on separately, but both parts even for 80%. And that's a lot. [center][img=skills/akali/r.png][/center] This shouldn't be considered solely as a source of damage since it's purpose is chasing people. However, you will use this 1-3 times to go in for a kill. Consider this ability having a cooldown of 10 seconds unless you assist/kill someone. This ability scales poorly off AP (50%) and should be used to close gaps, not for the damage itself unless you are absolutely sure you have to use it for sustain ([imgsmall=skills/akali/p.png]/[imgsmall=items/hextech-revolver.png]) or for greater burst. Note that this ability is also considered single target and therefore slows your opponent by 35% if you use [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png]. [center][highlight]Physical damage[/highlight][/center] [center][img=skills/akali/e.png] [/center] Let me get this straight: this ability should be used for farming purposes OR if you have to dish out as much damage as possible and you know you have no time left to [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png] or [imgsmall=skills/akali/w.png]. It scales of 60% total(!) AD and 30% AP. The damage is low and the energy cost high. Besides, you don't aim for [imgsmall=items/last-whisper.png] but for [imgsmall=items/void-staff.png] so it should be even worse compared to other skills in mid/late game. Using this for [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] results in a 15% slow. [center][img=items/lich-bane.png][/center] The scaling with [imgsmall=skills/akali/p.png] is ridiculous. Imagine you have 150 AD and 300 AP. An auto-attack would deal 150 damage (physical)+[imgsmall=items/lich-bane.png] 300 damage (physical)+[imgsmall=skills/akali/p.png]+300 (magical) from both combined. Resulting in 750 raw damage before mitigation. Let's assume the same for 100 AP and 100 AD. Your auto-attack deals 100 damage (physical), your Lichbane deals another 100 damage (physical), whilst the [imgsmall=skills/akali/p.png] from both deals 56 damage (magical). This results in 256 damage. As you can see, Akali scales greatly with certain stats. It also shows the increasing value over time of [imgsmall=items/lich-bane.png].

If you have to build according to your enemy team and must differ from the standard build, here is a short orientation what fits Akali and what does not. [center][title]Great stats for Akali[/title][/center] [highlight]Ability power[/highlight] for [imgsmall=skills/akali/p.png] and increasing the damage of [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png][imgsmall=skills/akali/e.png][imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png] as well as [imgsmall=items/lich-bane.png]. [highlight]Spellvamp[/highlight] increases your 1v1 capabilities and your lane sustain. This is the reason it's so hard to kill her. [highlight]Attack damage[/highlight] since it activates [imgsmall=skills/akali/p.png] part 2, gives more spellvamp (see above) and synergizes with the other part of it. More physical damage, more magic damage. Ability power and spellvamp should be prioritized over this since you spend only a fraction of time melee-hitting your opponent. [highlight]Magic Penetration[/highlight] - of course! You deal magic damage and have very little magic penetration via runes, so getting an early [imgsmall=items/void-staff.png] can really screw your opponents. [center][title]"Okay" ((c) by Rammus) stats for Akali[/title][/center] [highlight]Movement speed[/highlight] - Akalis base movement speed is very high (325), but you won't need any additional MS beyond [imgsmall=items/lich-bane.png]+[imgsmall=items/sorcerers-shoes.png] and the reason you should pick up [imgsmall=items/lich-bane.png] is not the movement speed it provides. [imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png] should be enough for chasing. [highlight]Cooldown Reduction[/highlight] - You will run into energy problems sooner or later but having more [imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png] and [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png] increases your burst damage by a large amount and having [imgsmall=skills/akali/w.png] alot more helps your survivability. The greatest problem appears with the availability of items, since the only "solid choice" for an Akali player is [imgsmall=items/deathfire-grasp.png]. [highlight]Health[/highlight] - it is vital to have a certain amount, therefore you should aim for building a [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png]. Beyond that, you shouldn't stack any more health. Getting an early [imgsmall=items/giants-belt.png] makes you incredibly hard to kill (you have spellvamp and stealth, remember?). [highlight]Armor penetration[/highlight] - the stat at itself is nice for Akali (see sources of damage), however there is rarely a case where you can't get a better item than [imgsmall=items/last-whisper.png] and since you run AD runes to complete your passive, the only armor penetration you get comes from masteries usually. [center][title]No-go Stats[/title][/center] [highlight]Critical Strike chance[/highlight] - You spend only a very short amount of time auto-attacking so this doesn't offer you much. [highlight]Attack speed[/highlight] - same reason as for crit, why would you constantly auto-attack enemies? [highlight]Lifesteal[/highlight] - the reason for [imgsmall=items/hextech-gunblade.png] is not the lifesteal because you'll barely notice it. Again, you don't spend much time with auto-attacks so this won't help you much. [highlight]Mana[/highlight] - pretty obvious.

Some sentences about of Akali's greatest strengths: Being able to heal in battle and sustain herself in lane. [center][img=skills/akali/p.png][/center] If you've activated this (which you should at level 1), you gain 8% spellvamp. This means, every 100 damage dealt from single target abilities or every 300 damage dealt from multi-target abilities will heal your champion about 8. [center][img=skills/akali/q.png][/center] Both parts count for a single target nuke, hence it heals for each portion. Using this to kill some minions will heal you back constantly. [center][img=skills/akali/r.png][/center] Using this can be a life saver if you have dots on you, however it should only be used in extreme cases since it's cooldown is comparably long. [center][img=skills/akali/e.png][/center] This ability is AOE, hence it provides only 33% of the damage dealt in relation to spellvamp. Meaning 300 damage with 10% spellvamp will heal yourself for 10. This should only be used on a crowd of minions. [center][img=items/hextech-gunblade.png][/center] [.] Database is not up to date: "Attack Damage reduced to 40 from 60 Ability Power reduced to 70 from 75 Life Steal reduced to 15% from 20% Spell Vamp reduced to 20% from 25% and is now UNIQUE" (Graves Patch Notes) Since it is expensive and has been nerfed, it does not provide THAT much more than [imgsmall=items/hextech-revolver.png] if you compare the effort. Focusing on the more important stats, Gunblade gives you 30 additional AP, 5% additional spellvamp and 40 AD which contributes another 6-7% to your spellvamp, resulting in 12% overall. Thats not huge, considering you pay 2425 gold for this and the active. However, it still scales very well and the active can save your life/ensure kills - I know a lot of people find this item to be superior to [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png], however it is situational at least to rush it [center][img=items/hextech-revolver.png][/center] It's cheap, it's effective, it's great. This item gives you 40 AP and 15% spellvamp which nicely adds up with your passive. [center][img=items/will-of-the-ancients.png][/center] Wastes one of your precious slots and should only be picked if you know you won't need the space and your team consists of atleast 2 heavy AP champions including you. Generally if you have enough gold to spend, better get [imgsmall=items/hextech-gunblade.png] instead.

(UPDATE SOON) [title][img=skills/akali/p.png] Passive: Twin Disciplines[/title] [number]Upon obtaining 19.5 additional ability power, Akali's hits deal 8% bonus magic damage, increasing by 1% for every 6 ability power gained thereafter. Upon obtaining 9.5 additional attack damage, Akali gains 8% Spell Vamp, increasing by an additional 1% for every 6 attack damage gained thereafter. [/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Like already stated, this passive is great since it provides TONS of sustain and TONS of damage (see above chapters). This is what lets Akali scale greatly. This has been nerfed by a huge amount and is therefore not as strong as Pre-Fizz. [title][img=skills/akali/q.png] Q: Mark of the Assassin[/title] [number]Akali spins her kama at a target enemy to deal 45 / 70 / 95 / 120 / 145 (+40% of ability power) magic damage and mark the target for 6 seconds. Akali's melee attacks against a marked target will trigger and consume the mark to cause 45 / 70 / 95 / 120 / 145 (+40% of ability power) magic damage and restore 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 energy. Cost 60 energy Range 600[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Your [highlight]main nuke[/highlight]. This is your [highlight]harassment[/highlight] tool - either throw it on your enemy if he is quite defensive and stays out of melee range or melee him if he does not. Note that [highlight]activating it may draw minion aggro[/highlight] so you should consider using [imgsmall=skills/akali/w.png] after this or retreat (into bush?). If you have to stay defensive and can't really farm I suggest to use this for [highlight]lasthitting[/highlight]. You can also use both parts of this on minions to [highlight]heal yourself[/highlight] up thanks to spellvamp. See above chapters for additional information. You can also use this as a [highlight]finisher[/highlight] on low % hp enemies (sometimes combined with [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] if you have to). [title][img=skills/akali/w.png] W: Twilight Shroud[/title] [number]Akali throws down a cover of smoke that lasts for 8 / 8 / 8 / 8 / 8 seconds. While inside the area, Akali gains 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 armor and magic resist and becomes stealthed. Attacking or using abilities will briefly reveal her. Enemies inside the smoke have their movement speed reduced by 14 / 18 / 22 / 26 / 30%. Cost 80 / 75 / 70 / 65 / 60 energy Range 700[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This skill is your life saver, your brush checker and to [highlight]slow[/highlight] opponents before level 6. You can [highlight]block pathes[/highlight] to help allies. If you [highlight]attack, you get detected[/highlight]. [highlight]Turrets detect[/highlight] you as well. You can [highlight]zone[/highlight] your opponent if used properly. In most cases that is using this behind his own minions. He can't really damage you because you get stealthed but if he comes near you combo him and he can't really strike back. This ability is the reason you [highlight]win most trade-offs[/highlight]. You should use this spell as well to [highlight]avoid focus damage[/highlight] in teamfights or if both junglers happen to gank your lane and you are more squishy than your jungler (e.g. your [imgsmall=champ/amumu.png] comes in for a gank). Use this to [highlight]juke into brushes[/highlight]. If you have to escape, [highlight]trick your opponent[/highlight] by using this near brushes and escape them after they ran into it or through it. Combined with your [imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png] or [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] you can pull off some nice tricks. If you have to sit in it and wait, you should [highlight]go to the edge[/highlight] of this ability. Most enemies tend to nuke their skillshots into the middle of your shroud so they will miss you. Note that this ability adds [highlight]defensive bonuses[/highlight], so use it against [imgsmall=skills/swain/e.png], [imgsmall=skills/karthus/r.png] or [imgsmall=skills/garen/e.png]. [title][img=skills/akali/e.png] E: Crescent Slash[/title] [number]Akali flourishes her kamas, hitting nearby units for 30 / 55 / 80 / 105 / 130 physical damage (+30% of ability power) + 60% Attack Damage. Cost 60 energy Range 325[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] As already explained, this should be taken solely as a [highlight]farming[/highlight] ability since the single target damage is pathetic. Rest: see above chapters. [title][img=skills/akali/r.png] R: Shadow Dance[/title] [number]Akali moves through shadows to quickly strike her target, dealing 100 / 175 / 250 (+50% of ability power) magic damage. Akali stores an Essence of Shadow on kills and assists as well as every 25 / 20 / 15 seconds up to 3 total. Cost 1 Essence of Shadow Range 800[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Note that this ability is [highlight]instant[/highlight]. The travel time is extremely short. Using this, Akali [highlight]attempts to melee[/highlight] the target and occasionally triggers [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png]. Combined, these two abilities are strong harassment. You can [highlight]chase[/highlight] enemies or prepare kills due to your slow from [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] or [imgsmall=items/hextech-gunblade.png]. You can [highlight]juke[/highlight] enemies by using minions and/or using it on enemies that go straight for you (unless you would run into their turret). You can also use this for [highlight]damage / sustain[/highlight] if you really have to blow everything for a kill/to survive. You should [highlight]keep atleast 2 stacks[/highlight] before going in for a kill. Using this ability [highlight]does not cost energy[/highlight]. However, running out of stacks deprives you from chasing and some escape capabilities. Note that [highlight]kills and assists grant you additional stacks[/highlight].

[img=skills/akali/r.png] Of course whenever you can. [img=skills/akali/q.png] Should be picked and maxed first under any circumstances. [img=skills/akali/w.png] Should be maxed last, unless you have to rely on the defensive bonuses it grants. Grab a point at level 2 and leave it there.

[title]Start:[/title] [img=items/boots-of-speed.png] [img=items/health-potion3.png] Provides you with mobility which can be abused to harass your opponent and sustains yourself with the potions. [title]First purchase:[/title] [img=items/hextech-revolver.png] If you have to fight hard to win your lane or you get stomped. Like already stated, this item is great and offers a lot of great stats for you. [img=items/sheen.png] To utterly destroy your opponent if you have an advantage. This gives you even more burst and lets you destroy turrets faster if you have to. Cheap and strong. [img=items/giants-belt.png] For extra survivability, should be get after [imgsmall=items/hextech-revolver.png] or [imgsmall=items/sheen.png]. This item grants you the ability to tower dive more safely and survive a lot more, especially ganks or heavy nuke-dependant enemies. Depends on your lane though [title]Core:[/title] [img=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png][img=items/hextech-gunblade.png][img=items/sheen.png] You want Rylais as fast as possible. It grants a lot of HP, a decent chunk of AP and a slow. You can constantly slow your opponents and in most cases, you can destroy them easily if they run. If they fight - you are way too tanky and have sustain. Since you are melee, this helps to stick to your target. Evaluate when to get gunblade and when to get Rylais first. Usually Rylais is better against burst champions (esp. AP mid) and Gunblade is better against sustained damage. If someone from the enemy team is fed, build accordingly. [title]Boots:[/title] [img=items/sorcerers-shoes.png] or [img=items/mercurys-treads.png] I usually get sorc shoes, unless the enemy has multiple nasty CC (like [imgsmall=skills/nasus/w.png] or [imgsmall=skills/irelia/e.png]). You really need the magic penetration (especially because of the specific rune setup Akali demands) and since her base damage is very high, you deal a larger part of it. As soon as I grab [imgsmall=items/void-staff.png], I get [imgsmall=items/mercurys-treads.png] instead. [title]Final items[/title] [highlight]Offensive choices:[/highlight] [img=items/lich-bane.png] Movement speed - fantasting for chasing/escaping. Magic resistance - fantastic against AP Carries which are one of your targets anyway. AP is always fine. But the main reason you get this is the disgusting damage procc. It increases your burst damage by a HUGE amount (see above chapters). [img=items/rabadons-deathcap.png] For pure damage. It increases your burst damage by a large amount. Unlike other AP carries, Akali is not strictly dependant on building AP only. [img=items/void-staff.png] Earlier, if your opponents stack magic resistance. This item gives you a huge amount of damage since you barely get any magic penetration beyond that and Akalis base damage is quite high. [highlight]Defensive choices:[/highlight] [img=items/zhonyas-hourglass.png] It's great if you get focused a lot and give your team more time to get in position/help you if you have been caught and/or killed an enemy carry out of position. It gives you stats you want, the armor however is situative. The active can save your life against [imgsmall=skills/morgana/r.png] [imgsmall=skills/karthus/r.png] and similar abilities or [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] and other dots. [img=items/guardian-angel.png] Even more focus? Make yourself an undesirable target and passively improve your defense. If your main goal is to kill the enemy carry for whatever cost, you can nuke the crap out of him, die under great overkill of damage and revive/escape afterwards. [img=items/quicksilver-sash.png] This can be a great item against supression. Use your judgement when it is necessary to pick up. Akali should go top lane or mid lane. I found her to be strongest top since she can deny more easily and the way to the enemy turret is longer so you can abuse your exceptional chasing capabilities. [highlight]Lane goals[/highlight] You are best at early and mid game. Your goals in the laning phase are: defend your turret, denying your opponent farm and XP, farm as much as you can, don't push your lane, don't die in lane, kill your opponent several times - and if you are fed and farmed enough, destroy the enemy turret. [highlight]Farming[/highlight] Akali is a great farming machine unless denied. You can lasthit 4 ways: [.] melee attack: most common; does not push your lane hard and puts you in a certain risk since you have to get nearer to your opponent [.] [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png] should be your last resort if you can't reach a minion or have to stay defensive because your lane opponent is very dominant [.] [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png]+melee: pushes your lane but heals you. Especially if your enemy pushes your lane, use this to sustain yourself and protect your turret from harm. [.] [imgsmall=skills/akali/e.png] on multiple low hp minions. This results in pushing your lane hard. You can use your [imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png] to kill minions or get in range for your [imgsmall=skills/akali/e.png] if your enemy is at base/under turret whole time and you have 3 stacks left, but only if you would miss CS. If your enemy is frightened and spends the whole time under turret, occasionally gank other lanes or the enemy jungler if you have CV at your disposal. Akali is a 1v1 monster and can retreat easily if necessary. [highlight]Harassing:[/highlight] You can harass three ways: [.] constantly poke with [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png] [.] use [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png]+trigger and [imgsmall=skills/akali/e.png] and retreat within [imgsmall=skills/akali/w.png] [.] at level 6, use [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png], wait for CD, [imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png], melee, [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png], melee, retreat Always make sure you win every trade-off by using [imgsmall=skills/akali/w.png] and brushes. Shrug off minion aggro the same way. You can also use [imgsmall=skills/akali/w.png] in between your enemy and his minions to keep him from getting nearer. [highlight]Setting up a kill[/highlight] You have to watch your opponents stats: how much sustain does he have ([imgsmall=items/vampiric-scepter.png]? [imgsmall=items/regrowth-pendant.png]?), how much magic resistance (most important), and how much HP? I found enemies above the treshold of 40 magic resistance to be a very tough lane, below that it's usually no problem to win the lane. Watch how much damage you deal and how much you receive and estimate how many spells you'd have to use to establish a kill. If you are absolutely sure, use [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] to procc your mastery talent and combo your enemy.

Completed soon <tm> I always assume equal skill in these match-ups. [highlight]Mid lane enemies:[/highlight] Very hard lanes: [img=champ/anivia.png] Is one of your hardcounters since she can keep you from chasing and attacking her ([imgsmall=skills/anivia/w.png][imgsmall=skills/anivia/r.png][imgsmall=skills/anivia/q.png]). Her [imgsmall=skills/anivia/r.png]+[imgsmall=skills/anivia/e.png] combo can deny you and keep you from lasthitting. Her passive also screws your combo-burst style. [img=champ/annie.png] Can stun you everytime you try to harass her or going in for a lasthit. You can't really dive her without dying stunned under turret and since 2 parts of her combo are skillshots, she can hit you within [imgsmall=skills/akali/w.png]. [img=champ/brand.png] Same like annie, except he can occasionally hit you with every spell if used right. His burst damage screws your spellvamp since he can - like Annie and Anivia - burst you down in stunlock. [img=champ/cassiopeia.png] She can't stun you with low cooldowns, but she can constantly attack you in [imgsmall=skills/akali/w.png]. Since [imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png] let's you face towards her and you need to auto-attack for [imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png], her [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png] screws you. Medium lanes: [img=champ/kennen.png] It can be tricky if you get stunned, avoid getting auto-attacked and dodge his [imgsmall=skills/kennen/e.png] and [imgsmall=skills/kennen/q.png] and try to get him low before you go in for a kill. Easy lanes: [img=champ/gragas.png] - His burst damage is not very reliable and he has to get close for his full combo. You can outdamage his sustain and deny him hard. [img=champ/karthus.png] - You outburst him by far and with your 3 [imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png], his wall doesn't really stop you. Since his aura is damage over time, you can sustain yourself against it for some time. [img=champ/katarina.png] - It's difficult to harass her but she can't really deal damage to you without [imgsmall=skills/katarina/r.png] which you can avoid using [imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png] to a minion. Usually you deal a lot more sustained damage and can put more pressure up over time.

You should concentrate on roaming if the opportunity arises, otherwise keep farming/deny your opponent further and/or destroy his turret/help push out other turrets. Your top priority should be to mess up bottom lane since you can get 2 kills, dragon control and deny the enemy AD carry which is vital for your late game. If dragon is up, you should concentrate on getting it, meaning you have to kill 1-2 important enemies like their jungler and AD carry. Dragon and Baron should be warded as well as key spots/buffs. One of the teams should start roaming / running together so it may get hard for you to kill someone alone. I usually spend alot of mid game killing people or help doing so, use every minute in which the enemy team does not run together in a group and pick up single targets whenever you can. If you can, try to give some kills to your AD carry as long as the enemy can't escape.

There are 2 possibilities for you to start a teamfight: [.] Wait after your team initiated and the enemy team used most part of their hard CC; dive in for their carries, especially AP carry in mid and AD carry in early game and crush them; if you get focused use [imgsmall=skills/akali/w.png] and/or [imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png] and keep yourself an escape route with [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] [.] if one of your opponents stays out of position and/or you're fed and confident, you can kill off one guy right away, hide in [imgsmall=skills/akali/w.png] or escape with [imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png] right away. Wait for your team to catch up and neutralize low % HP or high priority targets. Your top priority is to stay alive and deal as much damage as possible. You can also bait your opponents into following you into jungle/shroud while your team finishes them. Remember to heal up on a squishy target and/or minions if you have to back off. You can also jump from different points of the teamfight if the enemy team splits using [imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png]. If you have completed [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] you can also slow/kite chasers for some time. You can also set up kills for your team doing so. Use [imgsmall=skills/akali/w.png] on as many opponents as possible to hinder their movement.

Secure Baron, secure buffs, secure dragon. Catch of single opponents farming/pushing unless you don't know where the rest is. Akali slightly falls off during late game. Stay alive under any circumstances and make sure you focus the right targets. If you did your job, the enemy AD carry should be vastly inferior to yours and winning teamfights should be easy as long as you don't mess up with positioning and cooldowns (the whole team). If you have an advantage/someone of their team died, push any lane as a team, most preferable mid and get those inhibitors off as early as you can. Focus on ending (=winning) the game as early as you can.
