Today, I am bringing you Mordekaiser’s Champion Guide. "The common perception is that the encompassing armor protects him, I fear that -- for the fragile time being -- it actually protects us." – Rozuel Fecirem, Arch Adjudicator noted in Mordekaiser’s eligibility Evaluation. -Strength of Mordekaiser: -No mana consume for abilities so you can give your Golem buff to your teammate. -Have shield, very tanky. -Easily form a situation of 6v4 if you cast your Children of the Grave on the right time. -Able to counter most of other AP champion. -YOU CAN SAVE THE WORLD :) -Weaknesses of Mordekaiser: -No Crowd Control ability. -Very Squishy if did not cast any ability. -No escape ability. -Low mobility. -No poke ability

Maybe someone will ask, “why not using spell vamp or ability power for Quintessence?” To me, spell vamp is for late game, it would not help for the weakness of Mordekaiser, HP consuming for the spell use during the early game. Although ability power will enhance the damage, but I would rather choose to have more time farming in the lane.

Shield regeneration is half effective versus minions. Minimum shield strength is 120 health, and the maximum is 630 health. If the target is alone, the bonus damage is increased by 65%. Cost 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 health[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] One of your attack ability, the main thing to focus on this skill is this ability deal 65% more damage to single target. This ability gave you both armor and magic resist, so when you have death cap, your opponent will cry for mercy. Also, this is a good ability to start a gank or team fight. Use it on an ally to initiate a fight since it give both armor and magic resist. [title][img=skills/mordekaiser/e.png] E: Siphon of Destruction[/title] [number]Mordekaiser damages enemies in a cone in front of him, dealing 65 / 110 / 155 / 200 / 245 (+40% of ability power) magic damage. Cost 24 / 36 / 48 / 60 / 72 health Range 700[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is the main ability for you to farm, when you use Siphon of Destruction, your goal is to hit the enemy champion and the back lane minion (minion is priority). But you will also need to be careful for the harassment from enemy champion after you use this ability. [title][img=skills/mordekaiser/r.png] R: Children of the Grave[/title] [number]Curses an enemy champion for 8 seconds, stealing 3 / 3.5 / 4% life per second, plus an additional 0.1% per 50 AP. If the target dies while under the effect of the curse, their soul is enslaved and will follow Mordekaiser for 30 seconds. During this time, Mordekaiser gains 25% of their ability power, and attack damage. The spirit gains 65 / 75 / 85% + (+100% of ability power) of Mordekaiser's adjusted damage, ability power, and 50% + (+100% of ability power) of Mordekaiser's health. Pets can be controlled by holding the alt key and using the right mouse button. Range 850[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Use Children of the Grave on the enemy Champion that is defiantly going to be dead. I often see people use it too early, so they didn’t get the soul from the enemy, it’s a great lost. When you still have your Ult, the enemy’s ADC will be scare to come in, so you can keep it to put pressure on enemy’s ADC. To control the soul, hold ALT and use right click on your mouse to control it. PS: when the soul attack people under turrets, if you are in the attack range of turrets, the turrets will attack you. So if you control the range well, you can easily tower dive your enemy.

In the early game during the champion selection, you should communicate with your teammate to have a team with more CC if you want to play Mordekaiser. A team with a lot CC is very important for Mordekaiser to successfully catch enemy ADC’s soul with Mordkaiser’s Ult[img=skills/mordekaiser/r.png]. I personally love Skarner[img=champ/skarner.png], Blitzcrank[img=champ/blitzcrank.png], and Maokai[img=champ/maokai.png] the best. If the team with any of the three champion, it’s much easier to catch enemy champion’s soul.

During the laning period, your main focus is to farm the minions and the wolf and wraith camp in the jungle. Basically during the time you have your shield on, the enemy champion will most likely NOT going to exchange HP with you. So you should try to hit as more minion and champion together with the Siphon of Destruction[img=skills/mordekaiser/e.png] as more as possible. At your first return to the base, you should have your Hextech Revolver[img=items/hextech-revolver.png] and 2 sight wards[img=items/sight-ward2.png] ready, then upgrade the Boots of Speed[img=items/boots-of-speed.png] into Sorcerer’s Shoes [img=items/sorcerers-shoes.png]as soon as possible. During the mid game, people might ask: “Should Mordekaiser gank the other lane or not?” In my opinion, compare Mordekaiser with other mid lane AP Champion, Mordkaiser is lacking of CC abilities. But in exchange with that, Mordekaiser got great power to burst damage to enemy, so you need to cast your ability with a precise timing. When you successfully gank someone else, it will be easier for you to finish your build. But at the same time, do not waste two or three minion wave for a bad gank. You need to watch the position of minion to decide wither to gank or not. During the mid game, it is the most important for Mordekaiser to farm. A good Mordekaiser player should farm 170+ minion at 15 minute (with no kills, and no ganks). You should also have your Sorcerer’s Shoes[img=items/sorcerers-shoes.png], Hextech Revolver[img=items/hextech-revolver.png] and Abyssal Scepter[img=items/abyssal-scepter.png](Situational) as well.

At late game, you should have Will of the Ancients[img=items/will-of-the-ancients.png], Robadon’s Deathcap[img=items/rabadons-deathcap.png], Abyssal Scepter[img=items/abyssal-scepter.png], Deathfire Grasp[img=items/deathfire-grasp.png] and Sorcerer’s Shoes[img=items/sorcerers-shoes.png] already. You better win a successful team fight or two before the enemy have their Quicksilver Sash[img=items/quicksilver-sash.png]. Once enemy champion build their quicksilver Sash[img=items/quicksilver-sash.png], you should focus on the enemy champion who does NOT have the Quicksilver Sash, you do not have to persist on the enemy ADC for your Ultimate[img=skills/mordekaiser/r.png]. Watch where you goes, Mordekaiser is very squishy before he cast any ability. Once you have a soul and win a team fight, go grab the baron buff and focus on mid lane, and GG.

-Cassiopeia[img=champ/cassiopeia.png]: To dodge her Noxious Blast ( Q ) is your main focus. As soon as you have the Negatron Cloak[img=items/negatron-cloak.png], it will be easier to counter Cassiopeia. Once you farm the minion, you can go farm the wraith camp or wolf camp, then retrieve. Do NOT stay on lane with half or lower health. You can also bring Cleanse as one of the summoner’s spell. -Ryze[img=champ/ryze.png]: Ryze is slow on farming before lv6, so put more pressure and kill Ryze as more as possible before he reach to lv 6 as possible, otherwise, with Ryze’s burst damage with a gank, it is easy for Ryze to kill Mordekaiser. -Zyra[img=champ/zyra.png]: Yes, I know Zyra’s vine are annoying. Be careful of her Grasping Roots ( E ). It is easier to kill Zyra after you reach lv6, but Zyra also have a lot influence during team fight. Zyra does not have escape ability, so it is easier to kill Ryze during team fight when you focus on her. -Brand[img=champ/brand.png]: Don’t be stun by Brand, harass him with Siphon of Destruction[img=skills/mordekaiser/e.png]. Your team should focus on Brand as first priority, Brand have high damage output during mid-game. -Ahri[img=champ/ahri.png]: Dodge Ahri’s Charm ( E ), get your Nagatron Cloak[img=items/negatron-cloak.png] asap, do NOT let the snowball rolls. Mordekaiser is better than Ahri during late game, just be extra careful of Ahri’s Charm ( E ) during team fight. -Karthus[img=champ/karthus.png]: Karthus cannot win Mordekaiser in lane, finish the game as soon as you can. Otherwise, once Karthus got fed, his influence in the game will overcome Mordekaiser. -Kassadin[img=champ/kassadin.png]: Kassadin’s Null Sphere ( Q ) is annoying, the silence is annoying, but Kassadin cannot easily farm. So you need to push, than clear the wraith and wolf camp in the jungle, and gank Kassadin as more as you can. -Fizz[img=champ/fizz.png]: If encounter Fizz, max the Creeping Death ( W ) first and fight with Fizz in short range physical fight. Fizz cannot easily break your shield. Be careful during the moment when Fizz lv up to 6, watch your health bar. If you think Fizz is still hard to counter, get your Nagatron Cloak[img=items/negatron-cloak.png] first.

Shout "READ MY NAME" and dont even think about jungling, and go back to your midlane. The only time you need to go to jungle is to farm your wraith and wolf camp.
