Talon is a champion with High burst damage, and if you get him in a solo-lane against a squishy champion, he becomes one of the best harassers. I focus on him being a main damage dealer early, while transitioning to an Anti-carry Tanky champion late game.

I run the Armor Penetration marks and quints so I can hit consistently hard for most of the lane phase. The Flat Armor marks help protect you from damage against other AD champions, but you take minion aggro when you harass, so it helps diminish the damage they would otherwise do to you. I prefer the flat Magic Resist glyphs as opposed to the Magic Resist per Level because of how aggressive I am in a solo lane, but if you prefer the MR/Level then go ahead and use them.

[title][img=skills/talon/p.png] Passive: Mercy[/title] [number]Talon deals 10% more damage with his basic attacks to any target that is slowed, stunned, immobilized, or suppressed. [/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] His passive really helps. It makes Frozen Mallet the perfect item for him, and allows him to be significantly tanky while still being able to dish out good damage. [title][img=skills/talon/q.png] Q: Noxian Diplomacy[/title] [number]Talon's next basic attack deals an additional 30/60/90/120/150 (+30% per attack damage) physical damage. If the target is a champion, the target will bleed for 18/36/54/72/90 (+120% of attack damage) physical damage over 6 seconds, revealing their location for the duration. Cooldown 8 seconds Cost 40 mana[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] I level this ability last. I prefer the increased damage for a duration than the bleeding effect. Always activate this before you cutthroat the enemy while in lane for some extra harass. [title][img=skills/talon/w.png] W: Rake[/title] [number]Talon sends out a volley of daggers that then return back to him, dealing 30/55/80/105/130 (+60% of attack damage) physical damage every time it passes through an enemy. Additionally the enemy is slowed by 20/25/30/35/40% for 2 seconds. Cooldown 10 seconds Cost 45/50/55/60/65 mana Range 750[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Talon's bread and butter skill. A damage dealing spell in a cone that scales well with attack damage and applies a slow. (which in turn lets him take advantage of his passive.) This spell is basically Mordekaiser's Siphon of Destruction spell except that it scales off AD, hits twice, and applies a slow. You'll use this spell to farm/harass. [title][img=skills/talon/e.png] E: Cutthroat[/title] [number]Talon instantly appears behind his target, silencing them for 1 second and amplifying Talon's damage against the target by 3/6/9/12/15% for 3 seconds. Cooldown 18/16/14/12/10 seconds Cost 35/40/45/50/55 mana Range 700[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This spell is what makes Talon a pain to lane against. It allows him to get near you and do amazing damage early while the enemy can't react for a second. In that second you can apply your Q and hit them with a Rake. This spell also cancel's channeled ults like Nunu's and Katarina's, so keep that in mind whenever you play against them. [title][img=skills/talon/r.png] R: Shadow Assault[/title] [number]Talon disperses a ring of blades and gains stealth for up to 2.5 seconds, gaining 40% Movement Speed. When Talon emerges from stealth, the blades converge on his location. Every time a blade passes through an enemy, they receive 120/195/270 (+90% of attack damage) physical damage. Cooldown 60/50/40 seconds Cost 80/90/100 mana Range 1000[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Talons ultimate is amazing. Always make sure the enemy is on the side closest to the blades of you when you attack them to take full advantage of his ult. You can use this to net kills and juke enemies, and you can use it often as it has a short cooldown.

I max Rake for the early game harass and farming ability of it. I choose to max Cutthroat instead of Noxian Diplomacy for the silence and especially the amplified damage. It almost guarantee's you a win 1v1 in a solo-lane unless they have extreme sustain. I level Noxian Diplomacy last, while of course getting Shadow Assault at 6, 11, and 16 respectively.

I choose to build for penetration and to take advantage of Talons passive. I grab normal boots and the early Phage because it allows me to take more harass, and even give greater harass if its slow activates, which procs my passive. I then build a The Brutalizer, and depending how well I'm doing I might get a Youmuu's before my Mercury Treads. After my boots and ghostblade are finished, I'll grab a Frozen Mallet, which immediately increases my damage output by 10% thanks to the on-hit slow. Next you'll build either a Banshee's Veil (which is what you'll be building most games) or an item like a Sunfire Cape. Next you'll focus on getting an Atma's, which will increase your damage output thanks to the bonus AD you'll get from HP, as well as give you more crit chance and some armor.

Talon is a great champion if you know how to utilize his skills. He has a strong laning phase and can snowball really well into late game as an anti-carry. His utility from his ultimate gives him great damage as well as second escape in most cases.
