Greetings! I am TSM.Evo's jungler and I'll be giving [imgsmall=champ/xinzhao.png] a quick once over since he has been reworked. I feel that his rework definitely buffed him up. Xin can be played top lane or jungle--although he can be a bit slow at clearing neutral buffs. The change to his [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/q.png] (cooldown reduced to 5 secs) is a big buff. His [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/e.png] was also improved. However, the biggest and most recognizable change is his [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/r.png]. Now, he knocks back everyone but the person he is hitting/charged. This lets you either dive the carry and push everyone back while you annihilate him/her or dive behind someone else/knock the target you want toward your team. Also, if you hit 3+ people with your ultimate, you are actually tankier now than you would have been with the old ultimate (ultimate gives armor/magic resist). [title][highlight]Pros[/highlight][/title] [.]Strong ganks. [.]TONS OF DAMAGE. [.]Can be pretty tanky depending on how many people you hit with [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/r.png]. [.]Ambiguous picks are always good (can go top or jungle). [.]He was probably in Dynasty Warriors. [highlight][title]Cons[/title][/highlight] [.]He's on the slower side when it comes to clearing his jungle. [.]Doesn't have a hard CC to gank with (has a slow and a knock up that takes 3 attacks). [.]Worst skins NA.

[center][imgext=][/center] [.]RED: Attack Speed + Armor Pen = Quicker jungle clear [.]YELLOW: Armor for survivability. [.]BLUE: Scaling MR pays off in the long run. [.]QUINTS: Armor Pen + Attack Damage = Quicker jungle clear I like to get +5 armor pen because for most jungle creeps their armor is equal to 12. [imgsmall=champ/xinzhao.png] being an auto attack champ gets a lot of benefit from armor pen. With this setup, he would get +5 from runes, +6-7 from masteries, and +1 from [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/p.png]. This gives him enough to reach 12 to do true damage to jungle mobs for the fastest clear you could manage to do as Xin.

[center][imgext=][/center] [title][img=skills/xinzhao/p.png] Passive: Tireless Warrior[/title] [number]Xin Zhao is healed for 30 points for every 3 attacks that he lands. This amount increases by 5 every 2 levels.[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Was changed to give armor penetration and also challenges a target so you can isolate him/her during a fight. [title][img=skills/xinzhao/q.png] Q: Three Talon Strike[/title] [number]Xin Zhao prepares to unleash a fearsome combo, causing his next 3 standard attacks to deal his attack damage + 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 to enemy targets, with the final attack knocking his opponent into the air. Cost 30mana Range 375[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] The big change is that this is what lowers your cooldowns instead of your [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/w.png]. Its CD was also reducted to 5 seconds at later ranks. This is great for continually knocking up if you don't die. [title][img=skills/xinzhao/w.png] W: Battle Cry[/title] [number]Passive: Increases Xin Zhao's attack speed by 20/25/30/35/40%. Active: Xin Zhao unleashes a battle cry, increasing his attack speed by double the passive amount for 5 seconds, and causing his standard attacks to reduce all other ability cooldowns by 1 second. Cooldown 24/22/20/18/16 seconds Cost 35 mana [/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] The passive heal was moved to [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/w.png] and now he only gets attack speed on use. This was a nerf in my opinion, but it's not too damaging. [title][img=skills/xinzhao/e.png] E: Audacious Charge[/title] [number]Xin Zhao charges an enemy unit, dealing 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+40% of ability power) damage to all nearby enemies and slowing them by 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% for 1.5 seconds. Cooldown 16/15/14/13/12 seconds Cost 70 mana Range 650[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] It's still pretty much the same--it slows. If you max this first, you can clear quicker in the jungle. However, I prefer to max this last because [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/q.png] does so much damage. [title][img=skills/xinzhao/r.png] R: Crescent Sweep[/title] [number]Xin Zhao unleashes a fierce spear sweep on targets around him, dealing 125 / 225 / 325 + 15% of their current health in physical damage. His magic resistance and armor are increased by 25 (+5/8/11 Armor and Magic Resist for each champion hit) for the next 6 seconds. Cooldown 75 seconds Cost 100 mana Range 350 [/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] His ulti is honestly his biggest buff. Now, in team fights, you are able to isolate a carry and demolish him/her. You can even push an enemy back into your team. Also, it gives you more armor/magic resist depending on if you hit more than 3 people.

[center][imgext=][/center] [.]Get [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/q.png] first for the damage and cooldowns. [.]At level 2 follow up with [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/w.png] for sustain. [.]Depending on if you are going to gank, get [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/e.png] at level 3 or 4. [highlight]Note:[/highlight] Some people like to max [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/e.png] first for faster jungle clear (it's aoe), but I like to max [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/q.png] first and [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/e.png] last. I prefer the damage and CD.

[center][title]Starting Items[/title] [img=items/boots-of-speed.png][img=items/health-potion3.png] Grab these items so you can clear your jungle quickly and gank efficiently. [title]After Your First Clear[/title] [img=items/madreds-razors.png][img=items/wriggles-lantern.png] It improves your speed in jungle, gives you lifesteal, and let's you ward. [title][highlight]IF[/highlight] You Are Smashing Kids[/title] [img=items/the-brutalizer.png][img=items/heart-of-gold.png][img=items/youmuus-ghostblade.png] The armor pen is a terror and [imgsmall=items/heart-of-gold.png] will give you a nice amount of health and GP10. [title][highlight]IF[/highlight] You Are Getting Owned/Doing OK But Not Smashing Kids[/title] [img=items/phage.png] into [img=items/frozen-mallet.png] FM will make you tankier and give you a bit of damage. Plus, the unique passive is nice. [title]Suggested Items On [imgsmall=champ/xinzhao.png][/title] [img=items/the-black-cleaver.png][img=items/randuins-omen.png][img=items/wits-end.png] The MR is nice, the active is nice, and the damage is nice. What more could you want on [imgsmall=champ/xinzhao.png]? [title]Depending On Enemy Team Composition[/title] [img=items/mercurys-treads.png] OR [img=items/berserkers-greaves.png] If the enemy team has a lot of AP, go [imgsmall=items/mercurys-treads.png]. If you're not worried about AP, go [imgsmall=items/berserkers-greaves.png]. I suggest buying these before finishing off [imgsmall=items/youmuus-ghostblade.png]. [title]For Teh Lulz[/title] [img=items/infinity-edge.png] If you're winning super hard, then you can buy this for fun. TONS OF DAMAGE. Of course, if you're not completely dominating then this wouldn't be the best choice--it's just something I like to do when my team is owning.[/center]

[highlight][title]Jungle Path #1[/title][/highlight] 1) Start wolves 2) Grab blue immediately after 3) Get your wraiths 4) Get your red 5) Look for opportunities to gank 6) In between ganking secure objectives/clear your jungle [title][highlight]The Manliest Jungle Path[/highlight][/title] If you are a true man start at red. Get your [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/q.png][imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/e.png] and go for an early gank! Make sure you run up to them and [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/q.png] them. Also, to force their [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png], then dash at them. If they have a slow/weak early jungler such as [imgsmall=champ/maokai.png] or [imgsmall=champ/amumu.png], you could potentially just run into their jungle after blue and smash them at their wraiths or red. He's a very strong early ganker, so make use of his early game and you can secure victory from the get go. [highlight][title]Solo Q_Q Tips and Tricks[/title][/highlight] In solo queue, the early ganks are really powerful and can snowball a lane/the entire game in your favor--if you can pull it off. So, if you see a lane that is gankable, go for it!

Mid game really depends on how you did during the earlier phases of the game. You're nearing the end of the laning phase and should focus on getting objectives (dragon). Try to take control of dragon, possibly their buffs, and keep on ganking if there's a chance to. If you're rich/feel you need map control get an [imgsmall=items/oracles-elixir.png]. At mid game, if you're strong, you can just dive onto a carry during fights and ult everyone away while you kill them instantly. Also, you should have some armor and MR so you'll be able to survive team fights. If you're not doing all that great just peel with your [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/q.png][imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/e.png]. However, if their ADC is open for intense diving, go for it!

So, the opposing team hasn't surrendered yet? Well, here's the rundown of what you should be doing. Late game is basically a repeat of mid game except your objectives are inhibitors/baron. During this phase of the game, you may want to be a little more cautious about diving if they have CC. If you haven't built tanky, CC will blow you up faster than you can say "Here's a tip, and a spear behind it!". Dive in if you have the opportunity, but if you don't have that luxury just go for their poke line. [imgsmall=champ/xinzhao.png] is a great pusher too.. His [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/q.png] kills towers quickly. Just make sure you don't get caught poking at towers since, well, he's not ranged. By now, if your team hasn't grouped up, they're either being uncooperative or are just bad. If that is the case ping a lot and hope your team listens...eventually. Lol.

*If you're feeling really confident just dive into the carries. Balls deep! *You can make big plays with your ultimate by pushing someone back into your team. Keep your eyes opening for that sort of opportunity. *You can make good escapes with your [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/e.png]. If you fear you may die, simply dash out. *If your carries are owning and you're getting it up the butt, just peel. [.] [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/q.png]ing people knocks them up. [.] If you have [imgsmall=items/frozen-mallet.png], the enemies won't be getting very far. :) [.] Use [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/e.png] to slow enemies/keep them from getting your carries. [.] If you need to use your [imgsmall=skills/xinzhao/r.png] to peel.

After the recent changes, I believe that [imgsmall=champ/xinzhao.png] is somewhat viable. When you are against a team with a few squishies that you can kill in a few hits, he is very strong. When a team comp has a lot of tanky heros, you won't be very effective. He's still a situational champ. I think if you're looking to gain ELO then he's a pretty good champ to climb with. Honestly, it's all in the early game with him. If you can gank effectively you will dominate. If not, you probably won't have a huge impact on the game, but you're still effective as long as you don't get behind. That's all for now. Peace, Unstoppable
