Hello guys, My name is AOS Spóaleggur ( EUNE ) and I am an Akali main. I've been playing Akali for almost 2 years now and just hit Diamond 5 this week. I am currently sitting at the #128 rank of all Akali's in the world. -And just for the comparison, here are some famous Akali players and their stats compared to mine. -I won't say that I'm abnormally good or that I have crazy mechanics or anything like that, but I can say that I do know something about Akali and I will do my best to help you out with understanding her kit a little bit better, as you go through this guide. -I will also just be going over this specific build and not all possbile builds and strategies for Akali. -And just keep in mind that my English isn't that good, but I'll still try to explain everything as best as I can.
-Early game you want to start with one of the suggested items. When you have chosen which of these items you want, you usually then ask your jungler whether he wants you to take the raptors or the wolves. You should always start with your E ( Crescent Slash ) because it will make the jungle clear a lot easier. If you start on wolves you first want to use your E when they spawn and then you immediately start attacking one of the smaller wolves. You'll keep auto-attacking that wolf until your E comes off cooldown and you should actually use your E whenever you have it up, unless you're in an auto-attack animation and if so you should finish the attack before using E . When you're done killing the small wolf you switch to the other small wolf and auto-attack it whenever your E isn't up and then at last you want to kill the largest one. And also remember to activate your health potion as soon as you can. -If you start on raptors you'll start by using your E in the middle of the camp as you did before. You want to attack one of the 3 small ones first and you do that twice, the same goes for every other small raptor, you only want to hit them twice and let your E do the rest of the damage to them. When you've hit all the small raptors twice, you just want to focus the big one. And the same goes for this as it did with the last one, you'll have to pop a health potion when doing this. -When this is done you'll safely recall back to base and buy whatever you need. The safest buy would probably be 5 extra health potions . But if you feel like you're gonna have no problem in your lane you can buy a ward and health potions for the rest of the money. -After that you can now Teleport back to your tower, and keep that in mind that you can start the Teleport when your health bar is getting close to the \"D\" on the HUD. Once that's done you'll just have to farm as well as you can. You'll try to push the wave as little as you can and try to farm as much as you can, until you reach level 6. That's when you'll start to have better time in the lane. -But remember throughout the laning phase that you are not good at setting up ganks. If you're jungler is someone with little or no CC before level 6, there's almost no point in ganking your lane. And you should also try to save your Teleport if you'll have to gank other lanes and help them out.
[big]Tricks when overextending as Akali:[/big] -This is a very good ward when starting on the right side of the map since it allows you to jump to the Krug, using your R ( Shadow Dance ), to escape incoming ganks. -When starting on the left side of the map, avoiding ganks is a little harder than on the right side. Now this would be a great ward which will let you run into the bush, place your W ( Twilight Shroud ) so it covers the edge of the terrain all the way to the brush. This will help you with moving faster and also slowing the enemies chasing you, at the same time. Once you've reached the brush by the red buff you want to use your R ( Shadow dance ) on the golem that's farther away and then keep running back to your tower. So basically you're just doing a loop-around the jungle camp. [big]In teamfights:[/big] -When teamfighting as Akali you want to make sure that you're never out of position. Though when using this build you can get away with taking a little more damage, than you would usually. But when teamfighting you should also try to clean up kills and be a little selfish. Akali excels at sticking to champions and she becomes the most useful when she get's to finish off enemies. So even if it looks like you're trying to take all the kills, you really are just trying to output as much damage as you can. If you end up having no R ( Shadow Dance ) stacks in a teamfight, you'll just have to wait some time for them to recharge. And as Akali you should constantly be checking the enemies inventory for Pink Wards and Upgraded Sweeping Trinkets. If you see that one of your enemies has either of these two items just always keep in mind that you'll get focused once you initiate. In lower ELO this might not apply to all games and you shouldn't need to worry that much either about stealth-revealing items. So all in all, smart teams will always stay grouped, focus you and CC you once you try to kill their squishies. -Akali synergies really well with life-saving abilities like Kayle's R ( Intervention ) and Zilean's R ( Chronoshift ) since you can just dive into their team without worrying about dying. Akali also does really well with Orianna. Orianna can shield Akali and then she jumps in and if they try to collapse on you Orianna just uses R ( Shockwave ) and the teamfight should easily be won.
