Beginning with the marks, having that flat magic penetration helps do that little bit more damage needed in the first team-fight for Windmill, but this also helps throughout the game as you get more magic penetration and AP. Next I go with the flat armor seals, because that armor will make your life a little easier against AD champions that Kassadin isn't exactly made for. Being an anti-mage/carry (in my opinion more of a carry champ in Dominion) Kassadin isn't built to fight AD champions, but with his burst and a little defense the nightmare that would be you dying turns out to be less painful and most of the time surviving. For glyphs grabbing the AP per level runes is great for Dominion just because you gain levels so quickly! By level 6 the per level glyphs already surpass the flat AP glyphs. So get the per level glyphs and profit from level 6 and above! Lastly for quintessences, grab the flat AP quints. Why grab flat since you level up so quickly in Dominion? Well the answer to that is per level quints don't pay off until level 12 and the flat amount of AP helps greatly in the beginning rush stages and in the first 10 or so minutes. Getting enough kills, and base captures/neutralizes allows you to buy AP items that will help you more overall.

So to start off this guide, this is for playing Kassadin in Dominion. Starting with 1375 gold helps a ton with early game damage. In the beginning I personally go [item=blasting-wand] + [item=boots-of-speed] + [item=health-potion3] or [item=health-potion4] but you can also go [item=sorcerers-shoes] + [item=health-potion3], which gives you more mobility to get those early caps. Since Dominion moves so quickly, and going to base is so fast I find its not super necessary to grab a ton of mana and mana regen, but a little never hurt. Eventually, you are going to want to go back to base and build either [item=rabadons-deathcap] or [img=items/odyns-veil.png] (I normally go with Odyn's Veil first) since these both do wonders for Kassadin After building up your AP, start to focus on either cooldown/mana regen [item=morellos-evil-tome], build a little tankier with [item=rylais-crystal-scepter] MUST READ: [img=items/odyns-veil.png] is a magnificent item on Kassadin! This item reduces "10%" of the magic damage done to you and converts it into magic damage you can unleash at your choosing (up to 200 damage). With Kassadin already reducing 15% with his passive this extra magic damage reduction before magic resistance comes into play wonderfully! For my best game I found myself with the following build: [item=sorcerers-shoes], Odyn's Veil, and [item=rabadons-deathcap] But normally I end up with [item=sorcerers-shoes] and Odyn's Veil + other pieces of either, [item=rylais-crystal-scepter][item=rabadons-deathcap] or some item that counters the enemy team (armor/magic restistance) I choose to use Sorcerer's Shoes because the amount of damage they allow you to do early on practically melts your enemies, but if you prefer [item=boots-of-swiftness] or [item=boots-of-mobility] those are both great purchases as well! So you don't get much gold, and the games are really short, but if you build to counter your opponent, you are practically unstoppable with Kassadin's epic escape. So, build smart, build stronger, and be smart. Quick explanation to why I don't include [img=items/archangels-staff.png]: I see a lot of people using this item on Kassadin and if that's how you want to go then by all means use it. Personally I feel that Kassadin can't get the full use out of this item since it takes time to charge and compared to other items with similar cost you don't get as much AP, which I try to focus in this guide. If you need mana, base is really close and/or you can get mana regen from [img=items/morellos-evil-tome.png]. Also picking up health relics gives you back a nice chunk of mana.

As an Assassin you will be keeping this role in Dominion, but you also have great escape and mobility meaning point capture is going to be safe and easy for you. I suggest going for windmill as Kassadin, but always be watching either Drill or Refinery (whichever the opposing team has captured). These points are consistently left alone and if someone begins capturing these points, enemies will be pulled away from top, allowing your team to capture. With high starting damage from [img=items/blasting-wand.png] and mobility boost from [img=items/boots-of-speed.png], going top initial will be great for early kills with a [img=skills/kassadin/q.png] and [img=skills/kassadin/e.png].

As the game progresses, keep being aggressive. Look for teammates in mismatch situations and go for the easy gank. Always remember there is a tower that can be captured, but don't let your guard down. Refinery and drill seem to always be targets and they can bring enemies to defend as your teammates capture another point on the map. Kassadin, as stated before, has a great escape, and great burst damage. Always try to be capturing points and killing enemies. Defense isn't your job, but don;t be a jerk and stand around while points are being captured.

The white lines represent the areas where you can rift over obstacles to either run or jump. Going from platform to the back area on the bottom two areas sets up awesome jumps on enemies trying to push your tower! Try out these different areas to find the areas you like to use the best! This is a work in progress, and I will be adding more to this guide as time goes on. Be patient, ask questions, and constructive feedback is greatly appreciated.
