Hello everyone and welcome to my DRAAAAAAVEN guide! This is the first guide that I've ever made, so any feedback you guys can give me would be well appreciated. About a month ago I was able to climb to diamond 5, then got to diamond 1 in about 3 weeks by spamming Jinx and Draven. My peak at this point is only ~25 LP, but I am constantly trying to get higher and higher! I have found Draven to be a top tier AD Carry with his extremely high damage early game/midgame and crazy snowballing effect with his League of Draven passive. He basically beats almost any ADC early game, can escape most ganks pre 6 with his Blood Rush and Stand Aside , and transitions into the midgame flawlessly. Once you learn how to catch your axes and use your W efficiently, then you can really begin to see the power Draven holds. PROS: -Highest damage dealing ADC earlygame because of spinning axe [ -Crazy snowballing -Can kill tanks much more easily than average ADCs -Potential to outplay ganks with Stand Aside (Can stop Vi , Jarvan + , etc.) -Can secure kills with Whirling Death CONS: -High skillcap; to play Draven, you not only need to know how to catch axes but also how to lead them -No gapcloser, just a speedup that lasts for very little time :[ - Basically has no passive once he reaches full items -Begins to lose against ADCs super lategame

= 1/5 difficulty = Alistar isn't that big of a problem for Draven to be honest. If Alistar maxes his first then Draven can harass him down since his will heal for nothing. If Alistar maxes his first then Alistar can't go HAM as much(see what I did there? Oh wait cows make beef....) because he does very little damage. Watch for Alistar's level 2 combo of + , you can actually cancel the animation with your so this could be a good lane to level your E second. You can actually get some good ganks in this lane since most Alistars buy before so they can combo you more easily with the increased movespeed. This means that Ali won't have as many wards to guard him and his ADC. = Annie first came into the scene when Tabe played her at season 3 Worlds, he brought her to the support table and performed very well on Annie, constantly making plays for his team and securing wins. Even when his team lost in the finals (Royal CLub vs. SKT T1) he pulled an Annie ban from SKT all 3 games. Annie is possibly the most annoying and difficult to deal with support right now. She does ridiculous damage with her spells(since she is usually seen in mid) while still have amazing utility because of her 1.75 second stun on her . For most squishy supports Draven does fine against them; however, when a support can 100-25 you at level 6 it doesn't matter if the support is squishy or not. Annie lanes can usually win very hard for this reason. Other supports rely on hitting skillshots and having their ADC follow up and do damage while Annie doesn't need to land her skillshots since they are very easy to hit while bringing more damage than her ADC usually does. In this lane do not take ignite, if you do Annie will all-in you with her ADC at level 6 and you can't do anything. To beat Annie you must try to harass her when her spells are off cooldown. If she has + up then don't try to fight her, she will kill you. Try to make plays happen earlygame with champions like or , Annie's weakest time is after she uses her at ~2:15 when she wants to harass you. Also look for ganks in this lane, Annie is very susceptible to them when her stun is down. = This lane is basically \"don't get pulled at level 2 and you can win.\" Blitzcrank has high earlygame pressure with his + combo and he is deceptively tanky due to his passive . If you get pulled and he knocks you up at level 2 you usually have to flash because he does a good amount of damage from his spells. If you aren't in his face you can usually and run away and the pull won't hit you because of how fast you can move out of it. After this you're usually fine because it becomes very hard for Blitzcrank to deal with your over time and his has too long of a cooldown to really contest any harass. Remember that if a Blitzcrank tries to + you, always unless you are 100% sure that he will not hit you. If Blitz tries to do that combo in lane phase it means that he is sure that he can kill you, whether it's because you are low from trades or because his jungler is trying to gank. In this lane dodge hise and harass him down for the next 15 seconds since he can't do anything to you during this time. = Fiddlesticks is a pretty easy lane for Draven to play against. All that fiddlesticks brings to this lane is his and his level 6 cheese ultimate . His is kinda a troll spell, doesn't really do anything besides annoying level 1 harass. You can cancel his with so that's a spell Fiddle can't use. His isn't as good as it used to be since it was nerfed, so it is no longer a must to take cleanse against Fiddlesticks, although the spell is still very annoying. You can dumpster Fiddlesticks in this lane because he is such a squishy support and he cannot use drain so he can't use a spell. The only thing to be scared about is if he waits in a lane brush and uses his on you, this does a LOT of damage and you must be very cautious when Fiddle has his ult up. Besides his you should be fine in this lane. = Janna can't kill you. You can't kill Janna. Simple as that, just a farm lane. She doesn't do very much damage unless she buys AP items, so she has very little kill pressure on you, unless she has a strong ADC with her and lands a good knockup. You can't kill Janna because her blocks about 1 axed-up auto and if you try to all in her she will just or you, plus the bonus movespeed she gets from and gives to her ADC with is hard to keep up with. Farm it out, at level 9 you can try to kill her since you probably have a at this point from getting so much farm. = Karma has became a very annoying support to deal with, to be quite honest. She does very good damage with her , has some decent CC with her (plus a crazy heal if she uses with it) and a good shield/speedup with . She is squishy, but if you get caught out she can punish you hard. Try to dodge her as much as possible in this lane and don't let her engage on you with . Fairly easy lane after level 6 because her ultimate isn't really an ult while you and you're support get that strong extra ability. = Almost every ADC can get smashed by Leona. Her + combo at level 2 combined with her damage is a bit much to deal with for most ADCs. However, this is not the case for Draven. You know how some Threshes Leona's so she can't stun the ADC and make them lose a lot of health? Well, Draven can also do that with his . If you have a fast enough reaction time and can that spell at any point in the game, Leona becomes useless for the next 10 seconds unless she + you. Of course, this doesn't mean that Leona doesn't provide any pressure. Her is still very annoying to deal with, you can try to past it but chances are you will still get hit by the edge of it. She is also one of the tankiest supports to play against due to her high base stats and her extra stats. You will most likely not kill a Leona in this lane, so try to harass their ADC and leave Leona out of it. It could be a good idea to take Cleanse in this lane since she has so many CC spells in her kit. = Lulu does annoying damage with her , she can win fights with her ADC against you because of her and she has one of the best ally-helping spells in the game with her giving a massive amount of health. If she gets AP, she will hurt a lot and you have to either dodge her or get some lifesteal. She is squishy, so if you have a heavy CC support then you can kill Lulu fairly easily(as long as she doesn't slow you down with .) = Nami is overall a weak support right now. Just dodge her in this lane and you will beat her. Her passive is a mediocre speedup, her does little damage and barely heals for anything compared to your damage, her is weak unless she scales it. Her is actually strong but it is easy to dodge unless she does it point-blank at you, so be careful of that. Fairly easy lane if you don't get stunned. = To most ADCs Sona is very annoying because of her and poke, however Draven doesn't need to worry about that because of his mass lifesteal. Draven can crush a Sona simply because she is soo squishy and Sona players don't usually max their first. Her is annoying in teamfights but you can normally pull ahead because Sona is really weak unless she gets a Warmogs. = If you FB soraka then she can't do anything in lane, she is just as squishy as Sona is and can't contest your damage. However if she doesn't die it will be hard to kill her, this is because her heals for a LOT and also gives a large amount of armor. She also has a secondary heal, . She has 0 chance of killing you in lane because she is very weak damage wise but is very hard to kill if she gets past level 3. = In this lane, build gems to beat Taric. GEMSSS Just kidding, don't do that ^^^. Taric is known for being stupidly tanky due to his amazing armor from and a decent heal in . His is one of the most annoying stuns, it moves as slow as molasses but it is a targetted ability 1.5 second stun. Taric has a lot of kill pressure on you and you don't really have any on him. Try to not let Taric get in range of you, since his stun has a low range. Also watch out for his + combo, it does a lot of damage and causes their ADC to do more damage to you from the armor shred and bonus AD his ultimate gives. = Even after all the nerfs that Thresh has received he is still one of the most played supports. He does a lot of damage with his harass due to his passive and has an amazing engage tool with , which can also be comboed with for ganks. Thresh is fairly squishy early on so he's not that bad to deal with, however as the game progresses he will become more and more tanky because of his passive, . If you get pulled early game it won't matter that much since Thresh does very little damage at this point, you might lose 100-150 health but that isn't lane-changing. If he pulls you when he is level 6, however, you will probably need to blow flash because his combined with will make sure you cannot escape him and his ADC. Personally I would recommend Cleanse in this lane for , however taking Barrier is fine and can still do well. Try to dodge his and don't let him walk up to you and you back into him and his ADC. Harassing him down in lane is pretty effective because he has very low base stats.

Trading: fighting the enemy early game and having them counter attack you. Leading: leading your axes in 1 direction to let you catch them more easily Lasthitting: finishing off minions with 1 autoattack. This is done so the lane isn't pushed and the jungler won't gank, while still securing the gold held from minions. All-in: When you try to go on the enemy for the kill. You must usually commit a lot of resources for this to happen and sometimes have to blow to secure a kill. Don't all-in someone unless you know you can kill them and the enemy jungler isn't near botlane.

Originally I had planned to make a very extensive tips section to this guide. However, after reading Sneaky's Draven guide, I realized I literally went over the same things that he went over. I don't want to seem like I'm plagiarizing, so for tips to learn on Draven please read Sneaky's guide: http://www.solomid.net/guide/view/121720 The only thing I have to say is how to lead axes, and I can't even do that because I lack the tools to make a good GIF :[. So I am going to borrow one from a well-known Draven guide by Astrumqt: Leading is an important tool on Draven, because it allows you to know where you're axe will land with certainty. This is good, because you have almost no chance of dropping your axe, and you won't get caught by moving forwards when trying to catch an axe.

For the early game you want to use your to full affect. Try to lead your axes behind you in this part of the game, since you don't want to be chunked down by support + ADC harass. You want to lasthit creeps with your to stack up your . Plus, it allows for easier lasthitting and securing creeps. You also want to harass the enemy at this point, since you're autos do more damage than the enemy at this point (with up.) The best time to do this is when the enemy goes in for a creep to lasthit. This way, the enemy has to use a spell and mana to do damage back to you, or they must take damage for free.

At this point Draven is a monster of an ADC. He can fight every other ADC at this point and can solo most midlaners and junglers. At this point you want to take dragon and tower to give global gold to your team and to put you even more far ahead. If you have applied enough pressure to your lane, this should be fairly easy to do. If you are ahead, look to do a teamfight or push down mid since you can usually win fights with your team because you shred tanks ridiculously hard thanks to and armor pen runes. However, if you are behind, try to farm up with your . Even though you may be behind in kills from the enemy, just getting 1 kill can put you back into the game.

Don't overextend and don't get caught while trying to catch axes. Stay in the back of the team and attack the closest person to you. Land your ult on their carries, if you can't them try to ult as many people on their team as possible.

Don't get caught, stay with team and don't be greedy for objectives. I have seen multiple games thrown because a team would like to overstay and take an extra inhibitor when the enemy team is respawning and they all have 25% or less HP. Always go for the safer play: taking 1 inhib and baron is usually better than taking 2 inhibs, then taking baron later on in the game. If you can perform teamfights well you can easily carry and win the game :]

Thank you for reading my Draven guide! I still have a lot of work to do on it (parts of game, supports that go with/against Draven, tips) so please keep that in mind when viewing this guide. Like I said earlier, any feedback given would be EXTREMELY appreciated!! I want to make this guide as good as possible so if you have anything to say, let loose. If you have any questions you can ask me in the comments section. If you want to see any Draven or ADC gameplay, come checkout my stream: http://www.twitch.tv/biackpulsar I hope you guys learned something from reading this guide on Draven. Have a Dravalicious day!
