[highlight][title]Pros of Zyra[/title][/highlight] [.]Can push very fast with 2 [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] & [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] [.][imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png]Skillshot line snare which is able to hit multiple targets. [.][imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png]Free Ward with zoning potential. [.][imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png]Great AOE Knockup,Nuke and AS Buff to[imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png]. [.]Zyra's [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] & [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] allows for very safe laning assuming you land your snare. [.][imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png]Can play Tower Defence with [imgsmall=champ/heimerdinger.png]. [.]Basic skin is exceptionally well done. [highlight][title]Cons of Zyra[/title][/highlight] [.]If she misses her [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] she loses alot of damage and utility, it will also probably mean she will die to a gank if she misses the [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] [.]Limited by [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] forage time for sustained damage, which limit's her damage output. [.]Has to be fairly built to be very effective [.]Exceptionally weak to gap closer champions/assasains/high mobility champions. However the pro's of [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] greatly out weigh the con's which is why I believe she is a fabulous champion to play with all the CC,burst and sustained damage she can put out, it makes her a hell of a force to be reckoned with!

On [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] I run [highlight][title]9x Mark of Insight[/title][/highlight] [.]+0.95 magic penetration x 9 = 8.55 Magic Penetration Allow us to burn through some base Magic Resist that champions's have, this is further increased when we grab our [imgsmall=items/sorcerers-shoes.png] [highlight][title]9x Seal of Clarity[/title][/highlight] [.]+0.065 mana regen / 5 sec. per level (1.17 at champion level 18) x9 = 10.53 mana regen @ lvl 18 Gives us great mana regeneration for our spells so that we will never be OOM unless you truly use your spells every time they are off cooldown. [highlight][title]9x Glyph of Force[/title][/highlight] [.]+0.17 ability power per level (3.06 at champion level 18) x9 = 27.54 @ lvl 18 I choose these runes instead of FLAT AP because these runes surpass the amount given by FLAT AP @ lvl 7 which is very early and we would want to go aggressive at level 6 or further on, which is why I prefer these runes. [highlight][title]3x Quintessence of Potency[/title][/highlight] [.]+4.95 ability power x3 = 14.85 I do like having a fair chunk of AP early though which is why I take these so that our spells do hurt if we have an opportunity to hit them.

[title][img=skills/zyra/p.png] Passive: Rise of the Thorns [/title] [number]Upon death, Zyra returns to her plant form. After 2 seconds, she can press any ability to fire a Vengeful Thorn towards her cursor, dealing 99 + (25 � level) true damage to each enemy it strikes. [/number] [imgext=] [title]Explanation:[/title] [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] has a really cool passive, it's kind of a weaker [imgsmall=champ/karthus.png] passive but a stronger version of [imgsmall=champ/kogmaw.png]Kog Maw's passive. [imgsmall=skills/zyra/p.png] is a pass-through linear skill shot that deals[highlight] true damage![/highlight] It also [highlight]applys a 15% slow[/highlight] from [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] aswell, which is nice. To activate you must simply press either [highlight]q,w,e or r[/highlight] all of her abilities are switched to the queen of thorn's ability. Zyra [highlight]does not fire the ability automatically[/highlight] at the end of the 10 seconds so make sure you use it! [title][img=skills/zyra/q.png] Q: Deadly Bloom [/title] [number]Thorns shoot from the ground, dealing magic damage to enemies within the area. Rampant Growth: If Deadly Bloom hits a seed, a Thorn Spitter grows. Thorn Spitter attacks with long range and deals magic damage. [/number] [imgext=] [title]Explanation:[/title] [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png]'s Deadly Bloom is a ground targeted area of effect ability. This means that it is a AOE damaging spell, this is great for pushing the lane fast with a simple [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] on the ranger wave along with a w[imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] it should easily clear the ranged wave and a good chunk of the melee wave aswell. This skill has a [highlight]really short cooldown[/highlight] and is further enhanced by our [highlight]passive CDR[/highlight] from [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] which gives it a [highlight]3.0 second cooldown at 40% CDR [/highlight]which is really short for a AOE damaging skill. This is useful for poking, leashing and zoning potential aswel so make use of it well! [title][img=skills/zyra/w.png] W: Rampant Growth [/title] [number](Passive): Grants bonus cooldown reduction. (Active): Plants a seed lasting 30 seconds. If an enemy champion steps on a seed, it will be destroyed but they will be revealed for 2 seconds. Zyra periodically stores seeds and she can hold up to 2 seeds at any given time. Zyra cannot plant any more than 4 plants at a time. Cast spells on seeds to grow plants. Plant damage is based on Zyra's level. Extra plants striking the same target deal 25% less damage. [/number] [imgext=] [title]Explanation:[/title] The PASSIVE CDR is amazing 20% free CDR is great this means that if we have blue buff we can go to 40% CDR which is why I don't include any CDR in my Item Build. The ACTIVE give's us a placeable seed that act's as a ward but upon an enemy stepping on it it dissapears, if Zyra uses's her [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] or [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] on this seed it will give those skills bonus effects. [title][img=skills/zyra/q.png]&[img=skills/zyra/w.png]W+Q:Thorn Spitter[/title] Rampant Growth [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] can be turned into a thorn spitter by casting [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] on the seed while it is on the ground. This spawns a ranged "turret plant" that does damage via this formula; [.]26 + (6 × level) (+0.24 per ability power) This sub skill is very useful for [highlight]counter jungling wraiths[/highlight] , [highlight]clearing creep waves[/highlight] on the lane as you would just press [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png]&[imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] and then let the remaining thorn spitter finish off the rest. Another of the uses for this Thorn Spitter is to do [highlight]sustained damage[/highlight] after Zyra's burst which really makes fights in controlled areas very dangerous to the enemy team. [highlight]Thorn Spitter[/highlight] procs the 15% slow off [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] which is really nice because they also target what you are attacking or champions then minions. [title][img=skills/zyra/w.png]&[img=skills/zyra/e.png]W+E:Vine Lasher[/title] Same principles apply for the thorn spitters except that this "turret" is [highlight]melee[/highlight] and has an [highlight]inbuilt slow of 30%[/highlight] for 2 seconds this is a really sweet ability however they will probably only get in 1 attack or maybe 2 due to them being melee, I see these as more of defensive turrets or for longer fights in very small areas in the jungle for example. [title][img=skills/zyra/e.png] E: Grasping Roots [/title] [number]Sends forward vines, dealing magic damage and rooting enemies for a short duration. Rampant Growth: If Grasping Roots hits a seed, a Vine Lasher grows. Vine Lasher has short ranged attack that deal magic damage and slow by 30% for 2 seconds. [/number] [imgext=] [title]Explanation:[/title] You can compare this to [imgsmall=champ/lux.png] [imgsmall=skills/lux/q.png] however [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] can snare as many people as you hit. This is great for chain ccin'g a team in teamfights, typically if you root someone with this spell you would want to cast our ultimate [imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png] as the [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] hits so as to have the most chance of getting the full knockup of our ulti which we should definitely get if you time it right and they don't flash. This can be used at the start of the fight but if our team has a different initate I tend to use this as a [highlight]follow up[/highlight] once the fight is starting to form to get the [highlight]most people hit and cc'ed[/highlight] by my skills. [title][img=skills/zyra/r.png] R: Stranglethorns [/title] [number]Summons the fury of nature, growing a twisted thicket at target location which deals magic damage to all enemies in the area as it expands. After 2 seconds, the vines snap upward knocking enemies into the air. Rampant Growth: Plants within the thicket are enraged, increasing their attack speed by 50%. [/number] [imgext=] [title]Explanation:[/title] You can compare this ultimate to [imgsmall=champ/gragas.png][imgsmall=skills/gragas/r.png] however it keeps their team together however they will be cc'ed by being knocked up which is not reduced by tenacity! So [imgsmall=items/mercurys-treads.png] do not effect your ultimate knockup at all! :) Okay just picture the scene where we are wandering to baron and we find the enemy team in there attempting baron, you lay down your ultimate immediatly knocking up all of the enemy team or [highlight]forcing them to flash[/highlight] over the baron wall, if they don't flash away your team can immediately kill them while they are [highlight]cc'ed from the knockup[/highlight] and low health from the damage. If they flash over the wall of baron, congratulations you have gotten a [highlight]free baron[/highlight]. Zyra's Ultimate is absolutely devastating, [highlight]dragon pit and baron pit has never been more dangerous[/highlight] now that Zyra is out, you really need to think of where you can use your ultimate to hit the maximum amount of people and knock them up, if you are in reach of their ad carry make sure to cast the ultimate in the [highlight]middle of there ad carry[/highlight] giving you the highest chance of knocking him/her upwards.

I start off taking a point in my [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] so I can [highlight]farm and harass easily [/highlight]and also put some nice damage onto the buff that I am pulling for my jungler. Next I level up my [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] so I can use the ultility associated with the ability to either snare them then land a [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] or use my [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] [highlight]defensively[/highlight] to escape from a gank. I then take another point in my [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] as this is the [highlight]easiest to harrass with[/highlight] and will do the most damage to them [highlight]without putting ourselves at risk[/highlight]. Next I take 1 point in [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] so that I can spawn the [highlight]Thorn Spitter's [/highlight]and [highlight]Vine Lasher's[/highlight]. After that I proceed to take a point in [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] whenever possible so as to do the [highlight]most damage[/highlight] and [highlight]lower the cooldown[/highlight]. If I can't level my [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] then I will level my [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] which is what I max after my [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] due to the [highlight]reduced cooldown[/highlight] and [highlight]increased snaretime[/highlight] and [highlight]greater damage[/highlight]. You should obviously level your ultimate [imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png] whenever possible. You should max your W [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] last as the other skills are more useful to us, the endgame 20% reduced cooldown's from it is very nice which along with blue buff will give us [highlight]over 40% cdr[/highlight], which is why [highlight]I do not build CDR[/highlight] in my build.

To maximise [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] damage you need to combo her skills correctly. I recommend smart casting ALL of your skills. [title]Pre [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png];[/title] Cast [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] then proceed to place down your [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] while [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] is travelling, this will spawn a vine lasher to slow the target once they become unsnared. After you have spawned the Vine Lasher as soon as you can spawn a Thorn Spitter using [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png][imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png]. This will do the most damage as the thorn spitter can continue to damage enemies when they get out of range of the Vine Lasher and the Vine Lasher keeps them in range for the Thorn Spitter to do the most damage. [title]After [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png];[/title] Cast [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png][imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png][imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png][imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png] This has to be done all at the same time so this is why I recommend smart casting. The end goal of this combo is to, snare the enemy but not spawn vine lashers, instead spawn Thorn Spitters to slow the enemy along with the initial slow of casting [imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png] to make sure they stay in range of the ultimate and once the enemy is knocked up they should have taken tons of damage from your Thorn Spitters and your skills comboing together.

On nearly all of the AP Champions that I play the standard route that I take is always; [img=items/boots-of-speed.png][img=items/health-potion3.png] [.]Nice mobility for escaping ganks, making plays, dodging skillshots. I can't think of anything better, the extra health from the pots is nice if something does go wrong early. [img=items/sorcerers-shoes.png][img=items/dorans-ring.png][img=items/dorans-ring.png] [.]This gives [highlight]really nice damage[/highlight] early along with making you a little bit [highlight]tankier[/highlight] with the extra health and giving us some very useful [highlight]mana regen[/highlight] and a chunk of [highlight]AP[/highlight], doran's rings are very strong early game. Now that we have some good what I consider "base stats" for an AP this is where our build can split off into multiple ways of building. If you are doing fine on your lane then I recommend going straight for damage; [.][img=items/rabadons-deathcap.png] If you are losing your lane or stuff isn't going well consider; [.][img=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] or [img=items/negatron-cloak.png] Whatever you do I feel it is nearly always necessary to have the Rabadon's [imgsmall=items/rabadons-deathcap.png] and Rylai's [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] as our core build, this is because Rabadon's gives us [highlight]ton's of damage[/highlight] *cough* phreak *cough*. Rylai's is exceptionally good because of the [highlight]slow,health and damage[/highlight] also because of the slow she can do more damage because of it. See more of why I pick this item instead of [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png] in the next chapter. Here is what we should be looking at now; [.][img=items/sorcerers-shoes.png][img=items/dorans-ring.png][img=items/dorans-ring.png][img=items/rabadons-deathcap.png][img=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] [title]Good Items After Core Items;[/title] [item=void-staff] [.]More AP allows us to hit more with our spells, %MPen allow us to hit more with our spells. Very cost effective item and extremely effective. [item=abyssal-scepter] [.]If going against double AP I definetly build this it's a great item, you get magic resist and you lower their magic resist a great item and it is becoming a more common pick on mid recently. [item=zhonyas-hourglass] [.]The Panic Button! [.]Huge amount of AP, a nice little bit of armor on the side aswell. This item works really nice on Zyra you can setup 2 plant's next to you wait for a gap closer to initiate on you and boom Zhonya's and the plants tear him to pieces, once you come out of stasis just snare him and proceed to kill the cheeky champion! [img=items/will-of-the-ancients.png] [.]I've seen alot of people building this early, you should build it on [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] fairly late because the spellvamp you get off the plants attacks is very mediocre without a fair chunk of AP to make them hit hard which is why I do not include this item in the core build however it is very nice lategame. [item=guardian-angel] [.]Free revive on the spot, situational really, it all depends on what the game is like if you are carrying the team hard you will want to get this so that you have a chance to come up again and make another impact on the fight that may be happening. It also gives us some very nice armor and mres. [item=quicksilver-sash] [.]GO AWAY, [imgsmall=champ/warwick.png], [imgsmall=champ/veigar.png],[imgsmall=champ/skarner.png] and [imgsmall=champ/malzahar.png] [.]You pretty much have to buy this when facing these champions if you don't your most likely going to die, again and again and ugh again! :) [item=deathfire-grasp] [.]If you really feel like bursting hard this is a nice item it gives a bit of CDR, which is useful incase we do not have Blue buff but it also has a GP10 component ([imgsmall=items/kages-lucky-pick.png]) that we can buy early if we are sure we require this item. [title]Bad Items After Core Items;[/title] [img=items/archangels-staff.png] [.]We aren't mana chompers when playing [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] so this item really isn't necessary. [img=items/athenes-unholy-grail.png] [.]We aren't that mana hungry and do not need the CDR [img=items/guinsoos-rageblade.png] [.]No,NO,NO!. You don't want to be basic attacking for long, you won't make use of this item on [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png]. [img=items/morellos-evil-tome.png] [.][imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] & Blue Buff make this item nearly useless to us. [img=items/haunting-guise.png] [.] This is probably the worst item in the game at the moment in my opinnion. Besides we have our runes, masteries and lovely blue boots [imgsmall=items/sorcerers-shoes.png] for magic pen, not to mention a [imgsmall=items/void-staff.png] [img=items/moonflair-spellblade.png] [.]This is a joke of an item, if you want tenacity buy [imgsmall=items/mercurys-treads.png] [img=items/rod-of-ages.png] [.]See the chapter Rylai's Vs RoA [img=items/nashors-tooth.png] [.]You shouldn't be able to make use of this item as Zyra. [imgsmall=items/lich-bane.png] [.]You should not endager yourself by basic attacking, I tried this item multiple times but I just can not justify buying this over any other item that we can buy.

[center]Probably the biggest debate yet over [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png]and i'm here to explain why I think [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] is alot beter then [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png]. [highlight]WARNING WALL OF TEXT INCOMING![/highlight][/center] [title][img=items/rod-of-ages.png][/title] Finished Stats; [title]630 health[/title] [.]+130 More then Rylai's means you will stay alive for longer, however with [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png]you don't need to be in he middle of the fight to do your damage like, [imgsmall=champ/swain.png] or [imgsmall=champ/karthus.png] so this health while it is nice isn't a reason for me to pick [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png] over [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] [title]725 mana[/title] [.]+725 More then Rylai's, by the time that you get a [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png] built and it is at it's maximum potential the need for this mana on [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] dwindles her mana costs are easy to manage lategame as her mana pool and mana regen are big enough along with our masteries and runes this mana is basically wasted on [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] however it is nice. It is no reason however to pick [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png] over [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png]. [title]80 ability power[/title] [.]Same as [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] nothing new here. [title]The Passive:[/title] Unique: Upon leveling up, restores 250 health and 200 mana over 8 seconds. [.]250 health is the equivalent of 1.6 of a heal potion [.]200 mana is the equivalent of 2 mana potions. Our mana regen is covered by our Runes,Masteries and [imgsmall=items/dorans-ring.png]. The heal is covered by our choice of 2 Doran's rings however this health active is nice however you can not control it, well. ------------------ [title][img=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png][/title] Stats: +80 ability power [.]You achieve this ability power much quicker then [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png] as the [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png] takes him to "charge". +500 health [.][imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png].actually gives more health then [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png] while building the item and when it is finished, however the [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png] does surpass the health after time is spent on the passive. The Passive: [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png]. gives either a slow of 30% to single target abilities or 15% to AOE abilities This passive actually means we can do something with [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png], With [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] when we root someone with [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] we should [highlight]immediately spawn as many plants that we have available[/highlight] on the enemy. Normally o[highlight]nly the Vine Lasher has a slow[/highlight], this would be great however the Vine Lasher is only melee so it can't manage to get that many attacks off which is a bit unsatisfactory for me. Having the ranged (thorn spitters) plants attack and have a slow inbuilt is much more effective because they can get more hit's in with the slow which results in more damage being done and you now have [highlight]added a form of soft cc to [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png]kit.[/highlight] What I particularly like most about Rylai's on [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] is the [highlight]ultimate[/highlight][imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png]. To ensure the maximum amount of people are still left on it using Rylais is amazing it [highlight]slows everyone[/highlight] when it is cast so that it is much harder to walk out of unless you are at the edge, so it will [highlight]force enemies to flash[/highlight] or take the [highlight]full knockup [/highlight]this really makes this skill alot better and makes it [highlight]devastating for the enemies[/highlight]. ---------- [title]Overall:[/title] The [highlight]added bonuses on [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] from the [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] are to huge to ignore[/highlight], even though some of [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png] stat's outclass [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png], [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png] is required to be built very early to take full advantage of the Passive and the "charge" time for the stats. We [highlight]do not want to sacrifice the early game[/highlight] potential when we could build [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] later and be much stronger in the battlefield because of it. tl;dr= [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] better.

We need to start off the early game with getting some items, this being [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] & [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png]. Depending on what you are doing early game decides on what you should take a point in first, if we are invading then you should take your [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] for the line snare that it provides for your team, which should be more then enough to pick up a target for first blood for example. If you aren't invading I recommend taking [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png]. We want to farm up to get our "base stats" items which consists of [imgsmall=items/dorans-ring.png][imgsmall=items/dorans-ring.png][imgsmall=items/sorcerers-shoes.png]. If you find you can harass the enemy laner without taking to much damage you should harass them by using this combo; [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png][imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] using W immediatly after you cast [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] to spawn a Thorn Spitter You are actually a [highlight]great lane to gank[/highlight] as you can [highlight]snare the enemy[/highlight] allowing the jungler easy ganks, remember if you miss your [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] you also lose your defensive mechanism as well, so watch out for retaliation from the jungler! A great skill of [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] is her [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] as if you place this down in the lane it means there is an area that the enemy champion can not go to which can [highlight]block of certain parts of the lane[/highlight] pushing them to a different side for example, this is useful if your jungler needs the laner to be near one side. Once you have reached level 6 we of course take a point in [imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png]. This is where you have a huge CC and with a jungler it is a guarenteed [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] or a kill for you, so make sure to inform your jungler when you hit level 6! If you know their [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] is down spam ping your lane to attract the jungler's attention as this will be hugely beneficial to you as [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] becomes very powerful with items and so snowballs very easily.

[imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] is super strong at this tage of the game . You should have a [imgsmall=items/rabadons-deathcap.png] at this stage or fastly approaching towards it depending on how many kills/assists you got off ganking. Your primary aim is to farm your lane, and force/take objectives, the reason for this being is that [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] is amazing in team fights so you want to abuse this fact and if they do not challenge you, you get to take a [highlight]free objective[/highlight]. You need to be getting your [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] ASAP after [imgsmall=items/rabadons-deathcap.png] as it [highlight]greatly enhances your damage, utility and damage potential![/highlight] So you need to farm your lane well, push and then take the enemy wraiths and your wraiths if your jungler will let you, if you manage to do this you will be [highlight]super ahead[/highlight] and be able to dominate the game with your [highlight]superior items[/highlight]. At this stage of the game though the most important thing in my opinion is forcing team fights or skirmishes this is [highlight]where you are strongest[/highlight]!

You got a ton of AP, your a walking plant of pain! At this stage of the game this is where your item choices really are tested to the max, should you have taken Guardian Angel instead of WOTA or Abyssal instead of Void Staff etc... You need to make sure your engame item choices are relevant to the game that you are playing and how it is panning out. Baron is a key objective late game and indeed throughout the later stages of the Mid Game, a won baron can turn around a losing game and can be all that you need to snowball to victory, Baron gives a ton of gold, xp, and a huge AP,AD,HP5,MP5 buff. this is why it is extremely important to make sure you acquire this beast's buff and not the enemy team. Luckily though we are playing [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] who is amazing at baron fight's and also very good at killing baron. Your ultimate [imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png] fills nearly all of the baron pit, so you can imagine why fight's for objectives are heavily weighed in your favour when you have a huge AOE knockup, just image load's of [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png]s running around in baron pit using there knockup, sounds crazy right? So for me in late game with [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] Baron is my number 1 target and therefore you should either force a fight for baron or take it, once you have done this your team will be very strong and will be able to siege tower after tower, snowballing your team even further ahead.

You are an AP Carry, [highlight]don't be the first one in[/highlight]. You want to wait for your initiator to go in for example [imgsmall=champ/amumu.png] [imgsmall=skills/amumu/q.png][imgsmall=skills/amumu/r.png] then in this situation you would [highlight]want to chain your CC[/highlight] with the initiator's so you would want to immediately put some [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png]s down then use [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png] and [imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png] at the same time, the amount of damage this does is immense, the [highlight]plant turrets do huge damage[/highlight] if left to their own devices and the ultimate nuke scales very well especially for having a knockup. Each teamfight is [highlight]handeled differently[/highlight], If you are the team's only form of initating a fight, then you will not have time to place seeds down and spawn turrets and instead have to use [imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png] straight away. The best tip I can give you is t[highlight]hink about what you are doing and why [/highlight]throughout the game! Here is a 2v4 situation at dragon. I tried to steal the dragon with my ultimate, but I failed. However, I still perfectly placed it on their team, so they are forced to retreat from the roots. Notice how they all refute the central point of my ultimate, separating their team. [imgext=] Blitzcrank, who was forced to retreat towards us, is now out of position, giving us an easy kill. [imgext=]

[img=champ/sejuani.png] [.]She throws [imgsmall=skills/sejuani/r.png] then you place your [imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png] ontop while they are frozen, simple stuff here. [img=champ/orianna.png] [.]Orianna shields someone [imgsmall=skills/orianna/e.png] then your initiator dives in, Orianna uses her ultimate [imgsmall=skills/orianna/r.png] at the same time as yours for a huge lengthy knockup combo! [img=champ/amumu.png] [.]Should be self explanatory , [imgsmall=skills/amumu/q.png] + [imgsmall=skills/amumu/r.png] you chuck your ult down as he activates his. [img=champ/alistar.png] [.] [img=champ/jarvaniv.png] [.] [img=champ/malphite.png] [.]He uses his ult to knock enemies up immediately after you have used your ult, to result in a guaranteed second knock up off your own ult. [img=champ/wukong.png] [.]

Just wanted to add this in as proof that I have played [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] and had success with her, which is why I created this guide to share my knowledge on her. [imgext=]
