Hello everyone! My name is RichardKSherman and welcome to my guide on the Bard. The Bard is a roaming utility, control, and gank focused support. He has a relatively high skill cap, and requires a decent amount of understanding and coordination to be optimal for the team. This guide will focus on providing some better understanding into the Bard's play styles, strengths, and weaknesses. A little about me: This is my first guide and will be a constant work in progress. My experience on bard and other support champions goes as far as the PBE and Gold rank in solo queue, but I have been a scholar of the position for a few years and love to theorycraft the role. Please feel free to add constructive comments to further improve the guide.
*UPDATED Nov. 11th 2015* Not too much has changed with Bard's kit. Your Q is the main poke, gank, setup, and cc skill that you have. Max it first to get the most out of it. Your W will provide a lot of utility to your team and self but has a large mana cost and relies on your team to understand how to use it. It is almost most useful for its speed boost and early game jungle and lane sustain. Your E is fantastic utility and once again relies on your team to have the smarts to utilize it, but maxing it second helps due to the added move speed and reduced cool down. Your R should be taken asap and every opportunity after. Optionally: I sometimes spend my level 1 skill point in W if I know that we have a passive lane/jungler. It can provide some nice help to your jungler at level 1 through the heal and speed boost.
