Hi guys, I'm Meowington! I'm a Diamond support only player. I've been playing the game for about 2 years now and have played every support numerous times. I feel like I'm very knowledgeable with the role and I'm writing this guide to help you better understand Zyra. Zyra is a disengage and peeling support with great AoE and CC. She's got a lot more damage than some people give her credit for and they end up paying the price. I'll go over some pros and cons about playing her. Pros Strong poke with her Q and plants. Good base damage so she doesn't need much AP to be a damage threat. Her E (root) is extremely long range - 1100 units. Her W (seeds) give vision in a small radius for 30 seconds. Free wards/brush checks! Her ultimate is a great CC tool. Long range, big radius, good damage and buffs your plants that are in it by giving them 50% attack speed. Cons She has no mobility. Her lack of mobility makes her very easy to kill. She's naturally squishy and has nothing to reduce damage or heal herself. She has the 6th lowest level 1 HP and 4th lowest level 18 HP Overall, she's a decently strong champion that works well if the enemy team is very dive heavy or you need strong peel for your ADC while also having decent damage output.

Poke with your AA's, don't use too much mana. Get good Q's when you can but don't spam them. Use plants wisely. Just poke as much as you can with AAs and gain lane dominance. Be wary of ganks as you're squishy and no mobility, you entirely rely on your E to snare people or E/W to slow people.

You should have your mobos by now and should be roaming. Look to pick people off with your E and get some free kills (with your teammates of course). Ward up where appropriate to set up for objectives such as Blue/Red buff contests, Dragon, or towers. Don't be afraid to fight in chokes because that's where Zyra excels. Her E is easier to land and your ults can trap people.

Keep wards by the next objective at all times, much like mid game. Red/Blue buff contests are important but by late game Dragon/Baron become slightly more important. Don't be afraid to ward near an objectives multiple times if necessary. For example, warding Baron pit is fine and all but it usually gets pinked/swept and you'll have no vision. So drop a ward in the AND in the river brush by Baron, so that way you'll at least know if they're trying to bait, just clearing, or trying to actually do Baron. Drop pinks in smart areas as well as sweeping anything you possibly can. You should probably have Oracle Lens by late game so that you can clear as many wards as possible. Late game vision game is very hard if the enemy team is smart. Make sure your team is warding and sweeping, constantly remind them. It's very important to have good vision late game as a lot of games end on picks.

Peel! Peel, peel and peel. In late game you're going to want to keep your carries alive. Make sure to land good Es and lay down W's when you E so you can have a few slowing plants. Get the best ult you can. Doesn't necessarily mean always hitting as many people as you can, but hitting the important players who may be diving your carries. Don't be afraid to flash/E if you find the opportunity to do so. If your team has a lot of CC or burst damage, this can win you the game if someone is out of position. Remember to use your actives to keep your carries alive, position yourself well so that you can peel properly and also try to do as much damage as you can. AA in between spells being down, ward any brushes where enemies can hide, etc.

This is my first guide, hoping I did a good job. It took me a long time to do this and I'd like to eventually make a support guide for every support. They'll all most likely be wordy like this one, so I'm not sure I'll finish them any time soon haha. Leave any comments, they're greatly appreciated as I'm not sure if I did anything wrong. Hope you enjoyed and have a good one!
