[center][imgext=http://i.imgur.com/QVMwP.png] I start off with: [imgsmall=items/sight-ward2.png][imgsmall=items/faerie-charm.png][imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion.png]. I back after a few minutes, not only to give my lane partner, a little bit of solo lane but also to buy a few wards. I wait for lane to be pushed back on our side a little, near the tower so the AD carry can farm easily without being zoned out of experience and farm. Dependent on how much gold i have at the time, I generally buy [imgsmall=items/sight-ward3.png] + [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png], unless i can afford my [imgsmall=items/philosophers-stone.png]. [imgext=http://i.imgur.com/FD58u.png] Normally you will want to use [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] to harass along with an auto attack or two, as well as keep you and the carry mostly full on mana. You almost always want to stay behind the carry, besides when doing poke harassment This is because if they catch you, its much easier for you to die, where as if they target your carry, with stuns/pokes you can [imgsmall=skills/soraka/w.png](Heal+Armor Buff), and [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png](Silence) the enemy. If you get caught in stuns/disables, its more difficult because you have to wait the duration before you can Heal and recieve the armor buff.[/center]

[center][imgext=http://i.imgur.com/sTKmt.png] About this time your should have your [imgsmall=items/philosophers-stone.png], possibly a dragon or some kills/assists for the gold. Laning phase is still in play for a little longer so keep the bottom wards up. Try to support your lane partner best you can, call mia's so your team doesn't accidentally die. Try [imgsmall=summoners/clairvoyance.png] certain spots (refer to "Map Control" at the bottom of the guide). Even if you miss their jungler at blue/red, the timer will still be reset for your team, and can alert your team when it spawns. Catching their jungler early/mid game is very good, and can save your ally or let them know the jungler is not near so they can make a play. If you happen to catch the jungler ping the map to alert your ally they may be headed their way. Even [imgsmall=summoners/clairvoyance.png], your own jungle sometimes, or in awkward places such as, tri bush top, near golems bottom, behind dragon near red/wraiths.[/center]

[center][imgext=http://i.imgur.com/Tr9ll.png] At this point you should really have your [imgsmall=items/philosophers-stone.png] , as well as [imgsmall=items/kindlegem.png] or [imgsmall=items/heart-of-gold.png] and [imgsmall=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png]. You can chose, if you feel you want the cool down from [imgsmall=items/kindlegem.png] or the gp10 from [imgsmall=items/heart-of-gold.png]. Hopefully your bottom lane carry is well farmed, and is working towards his big items. Around this time you'll want to buy an [imgsmall=items/oracles-elixir.png] or at least [imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png] for dragon. Buying an extra [imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png] can work in your favor also because you can counter ward the enemies river/bush ward and deny them vision. Should at this point have your [imgsmall=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png] + [imgsmall=items/philosophers-stone.png] + [imgsmall=items/heart-of-gold.png] + [imgsmall=items/kindlegem.png] and be working toward finishing your [imgsmall=items/shurelyas-reverie.png]. After finishing those, work on either your [imgsmall=items/aegis-of-the-legion.png] or [imgsmall=items/locket-of-the-iron-solari.png]. [/center]

[center][imgext=http://i.imgur.com/fGOk7.png] End game, you should have [imgsmall=items/shurelyas-reverie.png] + [imgsmall=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png] + [imgsmall=items/heart-of-gold.png]. You should be working toward your [imgsmall=items/locket-of-the-iron-solari.png], [imgsmall=items/aegis-of-the-legion.png] or [imgsmall=items/starks-fervor.png]. Picking which item really depends on the team and how well you're doing. If the team needs sustain and durability aim for [imgsmall=items/locket-of-the-iron-solari.png] and [imgsmall=items/aegis-of-the-legion.png]. If you feel that the carry is doing very well but could use the attack speed boost finish the [imgsmall=items/starks-fervor.png] before [imgsmall=items/aegis-of-the-legion.png]. If and when you do finish your [imgsmall=items/starks-fervor.png], sell your [imgsmall=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png] for [imgsmall=items/mercurys-treads.png]. Try to stay in the back of the team because you want to buff them with [imgsmall=skills/soraka/w.png] and the use of [imgsmall=items/shurelyas-reverie.png] when fights start. Hopefully your top lane and/or jungle are durable and can initiate fights because thats where Soraka excels the most. When the fight starts, try saving [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] until the enemy uses a channel ability such as [imgsmall=skills/warwick/r.png], [imgsmall=skills/galio/r.png], or [imgsmall=skills/katarina/r.png]. This will cancel the channel. If there are no channel's on the opposing team try silencing the AP carry as he will rely on casting spells. [/center]

[center][imgext=http://i.imgur.com/WSM7M.png] [img=items/philosophers-stone.png]: Should be your main starting item. This gives a little bit of mana and health regen as well as 5 gold per 10 seconds. Later builds into a [imgsmall=items/shurelyas-reverie.png], which is a core item giving a speed boost to entire team and health + cool downs for [imgsmall=champ/soraka.png]. [img=items/kindlegem.png]: I normally buy this or [imgsmall=items/heart-of-gold.png] after [imgsmall=items/philosophers-stone.png]. You can chose to get another 5 gold per 10 seconds item, or to achieve 40% cool down reduction upon finishing [imgsmall=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png]. Building this sooner helps you rush your [imgsmall=items/shurelyas-reverie.png] for quick escapes or engages. [img=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png]: I usualy start with these boots because they give early cool down reduction and movement speed. These are the boots I use all game until I finish [imgsmall=items/starks-fervor.png]. Finishing [imgsmall=items/starks-fervor.png] means I can sell these for [imgsmall=items/mercurys-treads.png] and still receive max cool down reduction. [img=items/shurelyas-reverie.png]: Shurelyas is probably your main item. Not only does this give max health and cool down reduction, but it also gives an activatable speed boost to the entire team. This item is very good for catching, initiating, or escaping fights. [img=items/heart-of-gold.png]: This is another core item for Soraka. It builds into a [imgsmall=items/locket-of-the-iron-solari.png] or [imgsmall=items/randuins-omen.png]. Before then it provides with max health and 5 gold per 10 seconds. I usually build this into a [imgsmall=items/locket-of-the-iron-solari.png] as my second core item after [imgsmall=items/shurelyas-reverie.png]. [imgsmall=items/locket-of-the-iron-solari.png] provides a shield to the your surrounding allies and some health regen. [imgsmall=items/zekes-herald.png]: I actually really love this item. I build it almost every game that actually lasts long. It really does help your team, not only does it provide attack speed to your entire team but it also gives them lifesteal. Also the cooldown allows you to later sell your [imgsmall=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png] to buy [imgsmall=items/mercurys-treads.png] [img=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png]: If you like becoming durable while still having some ability power this is the item for you. Not only providing that it also can slow the enemy. So using Soraka's [imgsmall=skills/soraka/q.png] and [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] they become slowed. This works very well on Soraka but should be built as a last item, not a priority. [img=items/guardian-angel.png]: Many times the enemy team will focus or try and catch you out of position. As a support your job is help keep your team alive. Not only does this item revive you once every 5 minutes, it gives you armor and magic resistance. Can be built last, not a high priority item. [img=items/randuins-omen.png]: This item can be built from the [imgsmall=items/heart-of-gold.png]. What this does is slow the attack speed of any enemy who auto attacks you, and has an active that if pressed will slow surrounding enemy's. Item works exceptionally well against [imgsmall=champ/vayne.png] or any high attack speed champion. [title]Extra items:[/title] [img=items/rabadons-deathcap.png]: For those who build AP Soraka or want a better heal end game I suggest this. I prefer [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] because it makes you more durable, this item still works. The sheer ability power will increase your by a decent amount. Not a high priority item, but can be bought last if desired. [img=items/thornmail.png]: If the enemy team has heavy attack damage champions such as: [imgsmall=champ/masteryi.png],[imgsmall=champ/tryndamere.png],[imgsmall=champ/talon.png], [imgsmall=champ/shaco.png], [imgsmall=champ/xinzhao.png] + [imgsmall=champ/ashe.png], [imgsmall=champ/caitlyn.png], [imgsmall=champ/kogmaw.png], [imgsmall=champ/missfortune.png], [imgsmall=champ/corki.png], this item works exceptionally well. The armor itself helps a lot, but reflecting damage back is the main reason for this. Should be built last, but does work very well against high attack damage compositions. [img=items/frozen-heart.png]: This is a decent item to get on soraka. The aoe slows the attack speed of surrounding enemies, and provides you with a good amount of armor. You dont really need the cool down anymore because [imgsmall=items/starks-fervor.png] now provides that. Mainly used when the enemy has high attack damage champions. [img=items/banshees-veil.png]: Banshee is a decent item to get because not only giving health and mana it provides you with magic resistance and blocks 1 spell. [imgsmall=items/banshees-veil.png] blocks one spell every 45 seconds and can be very useful for high magic enemy team compositions and versing stuns such as [imgsmall=skills/ashe/r.png] or [imgsmall=skills/taric/e.png]. [img=items/quicksilver-sash.png]: I get this when the enemy has a [imgsmall=champ/galio.png],[imgsmall=champ/malzahar.png],[imgsmall=champ/warwick.png] or sometimes even [imgsmall=champ/ashe.png]. The reasoning behind this is because if they target you, you can remove the suppression by activating [imgsmall=items/quicksilver-sash.png]. Very useful for [imgsmall=skills/galio/r.png] because you can [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] and stop it mid channel. [img=items/will-of-the-ancients.png]: This can be very useful for certain team compositions like having two ability power champions on your team. Nomrally I'd get this as a last item. Provides your team with spell vamp and ability power. [img=items/oracles-elixir.png]: You normally want to get this item somewhat early in the game when you feel comfortable with not dying. If you feel like your still very squishy I suggest buying one or two [imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png] instead. Late game, you our someone on your team should really get this to clear wards in jungle and at baron or dragon. Very essential item to late game. [img=items/sight-ward.png]: Probably the most bought item on any support. Ward placements are below in the "Map Control" section. They give vision to an area for 3 minutes and cost 75 gold each. Can stack up to 5 of them in 1 item slot. Very useful all game. [img=items/vision-ward.png]: Vision wards are different from [imgsmall=items/sight-ward.png]. Vision wards can see invisible players, shrooms, jack in the boxes, and other wards. These are useful for counter warding dragon/baron or when fighting an eve or twitch. They cost 125 gold and stack 5 of them in 1 item slot. [/center]

[center][imgext=http://i.imgur.com/bspfM.png] [/center] [title][img=skills/soraka/p.png]Passive: Consecration[/title] [number]Increases surrounding allies' magic resistance by 16.[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Soraka's passive is decent. It does help your team if your near her, by granting your surrounding allies with 16 magic resistance. [title][img=skills/soraka/q.png] Q: Starcall[/title] [number]Strikes nearby enemy units for 60/85/110/135/160 (+40% of ability power) magic damage and reduces their Magic Resistance by 8/9/10/11/12 for 8 seconds This effect stacks up to 10 times. Cooldown 2.5 seconds Cost 20/30/40/50/60 mana Range 660[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] I don't feel that starcall is the most important skill for Soraka. This can help during team fights by dealing damage and decreasing the magic resistance of anyone hit. Some like to start with an early level of it for harassing, but all it does is push lane and make it harder for your carry to last hit. If you feel the need you may get one point in starcall at level 9 instead of infuse. Works great late game to spam during team fights. [title][img=skills/soraka/w.png] W: Astral Blessing[/title] [number]Restores 70/140/210/280/350 (+45% of ability power) health and grants 25/50/75/100/125 bonus armor for 5 seconds. Cooldown 20 seconds Cost 80 / 110 / 140 / 160 / 200 mana Range 750[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] The most important skill in Soraka's arsenal, I max this first. Most times I level this at level 1, but alternate between astral blessing and infuse. I will occasionally get infuse, for when my team is invading jungle at level 1 and it can be used to silence them from flashing away. The armor buff from healing increases each time you level it up, and at max rank it gives an armor buff of 125 and a base heal of 350. Early levels are difficult because the heal costs a lot of mana and doesn't heal for very much while being on such long cool down. As soraka stay behind your carry with the occasional harassing to disrupt the enemy from farming. Staying behind your carry is esential for situations like taric stunning or ashe arrow. If the carry gets stunned, your armor buff along with the heal can keep them alive, where as if Soraka gets caught she may die or be forced to flash immediately . Most damage bottom lane comes from the ranged carry which is attack damage, which makes the armor buff very effective. [title][img=skills/soraka/e.png] E: Infuse[/title] [number]If cast on an allied champion, restores 40/80/120/160/200 mana to the target, No longer affects Soraka when cast on allies and cannot be cast on self If cast on an enemy champion, silences them for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds and deals 50 / 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 (+75% of ability power) magic damage. Cooldown 10 seconds Range 725[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is another signature skill. This accompanied by astral blessing provide the best sustain in the game. I will alternate with infuse or astral blessing at level 1 depending on if we invade or just rush to lanes. If we rush to lanes I get astral blessing at level 1 and infuse at level 2 while maxing it by level 12. Infuse is very good for harassing, or keeping the carry full with mana. Offensively: During laning phase, you can silence and poke the enemy bottom lane. Even if you dont necessarily kill or do much damage, it will help you out sustain them. They may have to back sooner or result to using potion more frequently then they want to Causing someone like Janna or Sona to run low on mana by constantly making them heal or shield can really benefit your lane greatly. In team fights you always want to save infuse for channel spells such as [imgsmall=skills/galio/r.png], [imgsmall=skills/katarina/r.png], or [imgsmall=skills/malzahar/r.png], because it will cancel them immediately. Defensively: Very useful in laning phase, because not only does it damage enemies but it refill mana on you and your ally. Can work for such things like stopping the enemy flashing away, or from using skills like Taric's dazzle or Alistars Pulverize. An example would be late game during the start of a team fight, you see Annie has her stun charged up, watch as she's flashing near your team. Silence her immediately and stop her from casting tibbers. During team fights try to use infuse on enemy casters. [title][img=skills/soraka/r.png] R: Wish[/title] [number]Instantly restores 200 / 320 / 440 (+70% of ability power) health to all allied champions. Cooldown 120 / 90 / 60 seconds Cost 100/175/250 mana[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Wish is an amazing ultimate, while not doing damage this is an aoe heal. Wish heals every memeber of your team for 200/320/440 + ability power, regardless of position. After level 6, look around the map to see how your team is doing. If you see an ally in a fight and its close to both of them dying use wish, give him the extra health advantage to escape or get the kill. This can give you assists from your lane, or can save teammates from certain death. Wish is the best counter to Karthus ultimate in the entire game. Watch for his channel, cast wish, and potentially save your allies. During team fights you want save wish until your team is around half health or someone is close to death. Try to use it after multiple allies take damage. As for healing in general. Try to use [imgsmall=skills/soraka/w.png]/[imgsmall=skills/soraka/r.png] before someone is at 100 hp, because very low hp, usually results in an [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png], and if you can catch it before the [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png], you will do your full heal, instead of half.

[center][imgext=http://i.imgur.com/1zrde.png] [imgsmall=champ/ashe.png] Ashe: Ashe, Soraka is very passive lane. Soraka has no Initiate skills, but can harass with an Auto attack and an [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png]. Constant harass will help make it harder for the enemy to last hit. Around 6 though, an ashe arrow, followed by Jungler gank and Silence From[imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png], Makes for a pretty good gank. [imgsmall=champ/caitlyn.png] Caitlyn: Caitlyn is a strong harass type champion, because of her range. She can constantly [imgsmall=skills/caitlyn/q.png] and use her passive [imgsmall=skills/caitlyn/p.png] to deal good damage, and push the lane. Constant harass from both you and her makes for a good lane, and her [imgsmall=skills/caitlyn/w.png] in bushes, and [imgsmall=skills/caitlyn/e.png] for ganks helps a bit aswell. [imgsmall=champ/corki.png] Corki: Corkie can harass very well at level 6, and before that with his [imgsmall=skills/corki/q.png], and use [imgsmall=skills/corki/w.png] to escape incoming ganks, or if they dive onto you. Soraka should always be somewhat behind, especially champions with blinks/jumps, because they can escape much easier thens he can. At level 6, [imgsmall=skills/corki/r.png] is a very good last hit or poke type skill. If your facing someone like [imgsmall=champ/sona.png] Try to poke 1 person down with multiple attempts and drain her mana. [imgsmall=champ/ezreal.png] Ezreal: I find this lane to be very good. Ezreal has amazing poke but does consume much mana, but with [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] you can constantly give him mana and make his harass very very good. As always play behind him, as for if he gets hit/ganked your armor passive should help a lot, and he can blink away. [imgsmall=champ/graves.png] Graves: Graves lane is very safe, because [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] will give him mana to spam his spells and can be used to harass, and the armor buff with heal ontop of his passive makes for a very very tanky Graves. The downside is graves is very strong at the start, whereas soraka isnt very strong, her heals do minimal, aswell as her silence. Early its a little tricky, graves is strong though, just watch for not taking to much damage, as your heal will do about 70 only. [imgsmall=champ/kogmaw.png] KogMaw: Play this lane very passive, kog has very nice poke but his early game... Well it lacks some, but around level 6 with his [imgsmall=skills/kogmaw/w.png] and [imgsmall=skills/kogmaw/r.png] makes for a very nice poke. His damage will not be reduced by armor with his [imgsmall=skills/kogmaw/w.png] because its magic, but make sure he cs's while you try to play somewhat passive as he has no real escape, and only a slow to help. [imgsmall=champ/missfortune.png] Miss Fortune: To be completely honest, where I love [imgsmall=champ/missfortune.png], I feel this lane has very low synergy. Soraka's early early game is fairly bad, as the armor buff on her [imgsmall=skills/soraka/w.png] is very low as well as the heal amount. Her silence/mana is helpful but doesn't do much. Miss Fortune is a early game champion, she strives off doing her damage very early, as thats where she is strongest, Someone like [imgsmall=champ/taric.png][imgsmall=champ/sona.png] or [imgsmall=champ/blitzcrank.png] would work much better. [imgsmall=champ/sivir.png] Sivir: Sivir soraka lane works pretty well. As soraka's early game is bad, she makes up for it around level 6 with her [imgsmall=skills/soraka/w.png] heal and [imgsmall=skills/soraka/r.png]. The constant harass while getting mana back from [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] works very nice aswell. Your sivir can spell shield incoming Taric stuns and other potential dangers and her boomerang does a good amount of damage. [imgsmall=champ/teemo.png] Teemo: Teemo lane... Well you dont see this very often but it works. Teemo's early game in 2v2 isnt that well, but same for soraka. Try to play very passive and last hit. After getting some last hits, you can use your poke/blind to harass, with soraka to follow up with heal/silence. With [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] he can blind and shroom the lane pretty well. [imgsmall=champ/tristana.png] Tristana: Tristana is a very strong champion, Strong early, mid and late game. He is a pushing champion though, so be careful he will constantly push the lane with his [imgsmall=skills/tristana/e.png]. So make sure its warded at all times. He does have an escape, so try to play pretty passive as you dont want to get caught yourself, and lane will be semi pushed as it is. [imgsmall=champ/twistedfate.png] Twisted Fate: I feel this is a horrible lane. [imgsmall=champ/twistedfate.png] gets back mana from his blue card, so its not really that helpful and i feel he works much better as an AP carry, rather then an AD carry. In this lane you want to play semi aggressive around 5-6. The extra magic damage on his passive may help, and the stun/slows but i feel this lane isnt very strong. [imgsmall=champ/urgot.png] Urgot: I feel this lane can work pretty well. The mana from [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] accompanied by the constant harass from Urgot works well together. Try not to push though, as getting a gank at level 6, should almost always result in a kill. The [imgsmall=skills/urgot/r.png] with [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png]Silence, and Jungler works very very well together. And Urgot can be somewhat tanky as it is. [imgsmall=champ/vayne.png] Vayne: Early game, vayne loses to most ad carries. The early game for both soraka and vayne is pretty bad.. Try to stay passive, and just farm. Keep it warded best you can. Stay behind [imgsmall=champ/vayne.png] and [imgsmall=skills/soraka/w.png]/[imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] her. Late game vayne is very very strong, and with the armor buff Vayne will do tons of damage. Just watch the early game and try not to fight just farm. [imgsmall=champ/draven.png] Draven [number](New)[/number]: [imgsmall=champ/varus.png] Varus [number](New)[/number]: [imgext=http://i.imgur.com/XWUkj.png] [imgsmall=champ/ashe.png] Ashe: Ashe loves to poke and farm. In early stages her [imgsmall=skills/ashe/w.png] does decent damage, but as you level up, [imgsmall=skills/soraka/w.png] can pretty much out heal/sustain the damage. Ashe is tricky, because at 6 her + the support and even jungle can do pretty good ganks, because of her [imgsmall=skills/ashe/r.png]. Stand behind your carry nearly all the time, and allow them to tank the damage, using [imgsmall=skills/soraka/w.png] for the heal + armor. [imgsmall=champ/caitlyn.png] Caitlyn: Caitlyn is very good at poking. With certain supports such as [imgsmall=champ/blitzcrank.png] and [imgsmall=champ/taric.png] the lane can be fairly difficult just because [imgsmall=skills/caitlyn/w.png] makes it difficult to move around lane or if grabbed/stunned can lock you in place for a while. Try to ward bushes and allow your carry to farm as much as possible. [imgsmall=champ/corki.png] Corki: Watch the early levels from Corki. His [imgsmall=skills/corki/p.png] + [imgsmall=skills/corki/q.png] allow him to do a bit of damage, especially at the early levels. Try to level up and harass when possible. Keep health pretty high because his burst is pretty decent. If hes with a non sustain support, keep poke harassing with your carry, and waste his mana/health until he gets pushed out of lane or dies. Be cautious because he does do a bit of damage so try little battles at first until you know you can win. [imgsmall=champ/ezreal.png] Ezreal: Ezreal is tricky, much like a corki watch out for him to jump around and try to do chunks of damage at a time. Watch especially the early levels and wait to level up [imgsmall=skills/soraka/w.png]. When fighting against him, try to silence so he gets less damage and his [imgsmall=skills/ezreal/w.png] debuff on attack speed on your carry. [imgsmall=champ/graves.png] Graves: Graves is tanky/bursty. Watch the early levels for him to poke harass, level up [imgsmall=skills/graves/w.png]. When fighting, try to move away, because [imgsmall=skills/graves/w.png] can blind you from healing or giving mana to your ally champion, and even from exhausting the enemy. It can be tricky sometimes but position behind your carry when possible, and out sustain them. His range is semi short, so late game other carries can out range him. [imgsmall=champ/kogmaw.png] KogMaw: Not seen very often, but Kogmaw is a decent "counter" to soraka. His [imgsmall=skills/kogmaw/w.png] makes it so [imgsmall=skills/soraka/w.png] armor buff doesn't help all that much. Try to ask for jungler ganks, and either out sustain and out farm, or try to kill because he only has a slow, rather then blink, or real escape beside flash. [imgsmall=champ/missfortune.png] Miss Fortune: [imgsmall=skills/missfortune/w.png] does hurt your [imgsmall=skills/soraka/w.png] quite a bit lessening it by half and Miss Fortune does quite a bit of damage, especially early. I'd suggest not trading much early, because shes very strong, it depends on your carry. Remember your cooldowns are very long early, so be careful to manage them at the correct times, an warn your carry when they're on cooldown. [imgsmall=champ/sivir.png] Sivir: Rarely seen, her [imgsmall=skills/sivir/q.png] damage/harrass does hurt quite a bit. Try not to get hit, especially within the first few levels because the damage is very high. When possible use [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] and poke harass to damage and bait [imgsmall=skills/sivir/e.png]. This will put it on cooldown to allow your carry/jungler to damage, or will just lower her mana. [imgsmall=champ/teemo.png] Teemo: Very rarely seen as an AD carry, but when you do, watch early levels. Soraka is very weak early while teemo's blind from [imgsmall=skills/teemo/q.png] which makes your carry miss, and [imgsmall=skills/teemo/e.png] poison does decent damage. Try to vision, or even pink ward bushes bottom lane after 6, because running into [imgsmall=skills/teemo/r.png] can get you killed or lose kills because of the slow. [imgsmall=champ/tristana.png] Tristana: Probably one of the hardest lanes for Soraka to deal with. The damage and heal debuff from [imgsmall=skills/tristana/e.png] make it very hard to sustain. Because at level 6, Tristana is very deadly, try to save [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] for when Tristana jumps on you/carry. This will stop the burst damage for a second which can allow you/carry to escape. [imgsmall=champ/twistedfate.png] Twisted Fate: I don't believe Twisted Fate works very well as an AD carry. The stun and random magic damage can be different to deal with, just watch out to stay behind the carry, so you dont get stunned yourself. Heal the carry and [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] when possible, to give mana or silence Twisted Fate from using cards. [imgsmall=champ/urgot.png] Urgot: Mostly played together in lane, Urgot is "semi" countered by soraka. Urgot loves to damage, then out sustain/tank the enemy lane. While his damage can be fairly high, just watch the early levels and at level 6. If you can stay even/ahead in lane you should be pretty safe to allow the carry to farm. [imgsmall=champ/vayne.png] Vayne: Not a very hard lane until later. Vayne is fairly weak early game, be careful of getting caught near walls, but other then that feel free to both poke harass and attempt to stop him from farming. Later laning phase and late game, Vayne is very deadly, but winning early and stopping Vayne from farming can really benefit you and hurt her drastically. [imgsmall=champ/draven.png] Draven [number](New)[/number]: [imgsmall=champ/varus.png] Varus [number](New)[/number]: [imgext=http://i.imgur.com/VWRxT.png] [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] Alistar: Watch early game, very early around 2-4 because soraka's eraly game is very weak and the combo from [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] [imgsmall=skills/alistar/w.png] and [imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png]. Other then that, the lane is fairly easy. Try to ward the bush's and not stay close to your carry. If he gets caught try to [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] because he can perform his [imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png], if not just heal the carry and the armor buff should let him escape pretty easily. [imgsmall=champ/blitzcrank.png] Blitzcrank: One of the lanes i hate... Ward the bushes and its fairly easy, just watch for the random grabs or when warding try not to get grabbed. If in the event you get grabbed try to heal, or flash away immediately if taken enough damage, Just stay behind the creeps best you can and keep the bush warded. If your carry gets caught, try to heal him after he takes around 100-200 damage, depending on what level heal you have.. Watch for people like [imgsmall=champ/tristana.png] or [imgsmall=champ/missfortune.png] because the heal debuff really can ruin your heals. [imgsmall=champ/janna.png] Janna: Janna laning, as for gank potential its really good, but for sustain Soraka prevails. Try to harass as much as possible with [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] and auto attacks. The burst from the ad carry with [imgsmall=skills/janna/e.png] and knockup from [imgsmall=skills/janna/q.png] can work well together and be very strong.. Just try and poke and drain her mana/health and the lane is pretty easy. Watch for ganks because the potential is very strong. Late game, depending on teams you can silence her so she cant use any spell or her ultimate to knockback your team, shes usually pretty squishy so if shes in middle of fight silenced, probably works well in your favor. [imgsmall=champ/karma.png] Karma: Rarely seen, her big issues are mana... She uses a ton of mana if she wants to do any damage or heal.. She can semi shield often, with her [imgsmall=skills/karma/e.png], and do damage with her passive But it will push lane, and to use [imgsmall=skills/karma/q.png] will burn mana fast.. Just be careful first few levels, then harass and try to burn her mana. [imgsmall=champ/kayle.png] Kayle: Rarely seen also. Be careful very early as first few levels her damage is pretty good, along with the ad carry, but after that, same with karma. She will probably run out of mana, and she wont build damage, probably [imgsmall=items/philosophers-stone.png] and such, so barely any damage.. Watch for her ultimate, [imgsmall=skills/kayle/r.png], its up around every 45-1 minute, can even reach 30 seconds with enough cooldown. Other then that, not a super strong lane, especially late game no damage. [imgsmall=champ/leona.png] Leona: Underestimated support. As they dont have much sustain, should really ward the bush.. Just incase, because [imgsmall=skills/leona/q.png]+[imgsmall=skills/leona/e.png]. She is a little tanky, and does have stun, gap closer And at level 6 her ultimate which can stuns/slow.. Not much sustain though, try and poke at the carry and or sometimes leona and lane should go in your favor. [imgsmall=champ/maokai.png] Maokai: Honestly i dont find this lane to be very affective. He really provides almost no support to the carry. The only thing you have to watch out for is something like [imgsmall=skills/maokai/w.png], accompanied with [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png]. [imgsmall=skills/maokai/w.png] can stop you in place and let the carry poke you a bit, and can turn out to be pretty deadly, the problem is saplings while annoying can work in your favor to push the lane, and let your carry last hit on tower, and be less susceptible to ganks. Watch for tower dives or ganks from bushes with [imgsmall=skills/maokai/w.png], other then that you should be fine. Once your heal starts getting up their, the lane should go in your favor by far, even with his ultimate [imgsmall=skills/maokai/r.png]. [imgsmall=champ/sona.png] Sona: One of the "Counters" to Soraka. Sona is actually a very tough opponent. Not unbeatable but Sona has very good utility.. Sona's early game especailly with her [imgsmall=skills/sona/q.png]. Sona's early game is by far better then Soraka's especially because of the damage.. But the downfall is, staying away early, dont try to trade much damage. Then once you are around level 5-6 Can start poking at them, Sona will run out of mana spamming [imgsmall=skills/sona/q.png] and [imgsmall=skills/sona/w.png]. The best way to beat a Sona is target one person, that way sona uses more mana to heal, rather then healing both targets for around 60 each, shes spaming the mana to heal herself or the carry mutliple times. Watch for the ultimate, very good and works well all game, starting at 6 until end game. For ganks, try to wait until Sona or the carry is caught then silence Sona, she cant ultimate, but can [imgsmall=summoners/heal.png] but if silenced, then stunned can probably burst her down, very squishy early. If not just drain her mana. [imgsmall=champ/lux.png] Lux: Lux can be tricky to fight. Her support is unconventional and she can actually do quite a bit of damage. Soraka against most champs is fairly weak at early levels but eventually can out sustain them past 5. Just try to avoid her harass from [imgsmall=skills/lux/q.png] and [imgsmall=skills/lux/e.png]. Upon reaching level 5, avoid her skill shots and harass heavily. Lux has no sustain for her or her carry and with her spamming spells her mana will quickly drain. [imgsmall=champ/taric.png] Taric: One of my not so favorite lanes. Ward the bushes and try to avoid getting to close. Its really nice to have something like [imgsmall=champ/caitlyn.png], [imgsmall=champ/ezreal.png], [imgsmall=champ/graves.png], [imgsmall=champ/sivir.png]. Cait, Ezreal, Graves for the blinks to blink away, and Sivir to spell shield the stun.. Soraka should stay back at all times, not harass much, because if you get caught in this lane... If the enemy Is a [imgsmall=champ/taric.png][imgsmall=champ/graves.png] or [imgsmall=champ/sivir.png], the burst early with the stun and [imgsmall=skills/taric/w.png] reduction of armor can really 1-2 shot burst you. Even an [imgsmall=champ/missfortune.png] or [imgsmall=champ/tristana.png] lane works well, because of the stun/burst damage and then the healing reduction. Be very careful of this lane. Try to keep warded at all times, and dont get caught. [imgsmall=champ/zilean.png] Zilean: Rarely seen and not very affective.. The early lane may prove to be a little hard, because Zilean can burst more then Soraka's heal, but after a little while he will just be blowing useless mana trying to [imgsmall=skills/zilean/q.png]. If he does walk near the creeps let the lane push and try to cs at tower. If you do fight and are of level 6 or higher, try to silence him when someone is dying, the last [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] silence will really ruin it for him, as for most people use [imgsmall=skills/zilean/r.png] ultimate right before death [imgsmall=champ/lulu.png] Lulu [number](New)[/number]: [/center]

For my style of play i really love it because it helps me escape when i need to, especially if i have an oracle, or get caught warding. This is my MAIN summoner on Soraka. It also fits in well for those epic saves where you [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] [imgsmall=skills/soraka/w.png] to save someone. Also works well when the enemy team focuses you, which can happen because [imgsmall=champ/soraka.png] early is fairly squishy, and late game people underestimate that she can actually tank fairly well, and her healing with 40% cdr is really good. I recommend using Flash. [img=summoners/exhaust.png] Exhaust: This accompanied by [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] are my main support spells. I strongly recommend using this because its huge utility. Exhaust works wonders on fed champions, or even early game. The slow + damage reduction + armor/magic resistance debuff from the mastery help so much. If there's a small 2v2 bottom lane, not having exhaust is a huge disadvantage. With the current meta everyone uses ignite/exhaust bottom lane, without those 2 offensive masteries, it makes it very hard to win those 2v2's. Ignite counters heal, and exhaust makes the dps do very little damage. Also late game, if the enemy carries are fed, this works for both AD or AP carries reducing their damage tremendously. [img=summoners/heal.png] Heal: I feel this is somewhat important for Soraka and bottom lane, Although if your AD carry has [imgsmall=summoners/heal.png] already, its not neccessarily useful, and i feel [imgsmall=summoners/exhaust.png] Would better fit. When your AD Carry uses something like [imgsmall=summoners/cleanse.png], I feel As Support you could get [imgsmall=summoners/heal.png]. This will really benefit your team early game aswell as late game. Also remember to swap out the Resistance Mastery for the Summoner's Resolve in your Mastery Tree. [img=summoners/clairvoyance.png] Clairvoyance: I don't really recommend this summoner anymore. Although its good for when you lose map vision, or keeping an eye on the enemy jungler or obtaining certain kills, with the current meta you need offensive summoners. I strongly recommend [imgsmall=summoners/exhaust.png] for your support and [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] for the AD carry. While this was probably my favorite support summoner, with the longer CD on it, and it being, near useless in 2v2's or 5v5 fights, its fell off my main summoners. I generally go this most games, and swap Summoner's Resolve for Resistance, if i'm not using heal. I'm very sorry about the lag issues and the lol record issues with Hp or run animations at the start. That's the best i can do for right now, especially because i don't have any streaming programs or fraps myself. I still hope the video is helpful First 30 Seconds, Im afk/alt tabbed to the tower. Around 1 Minute In, because we see that the jungler is a [imgsmall=champ/trundle.png] (Someone who starts blue) We decided to try to sneak a red buff steal. 1:04 - [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] runs past, but doesn't see us because were in the bushes 1:20 - We sucessfuly take red buff, and leave the 2 little ones so he has to reset it himself, and we can return to lane. We are a little hurt so i use my summoner heal (discreetly so the enemy doesnt see, to fully heal us), While ([imgsmall=champ/caitlyn.png]) Still having his up, aswell as drop a ward. 1:40 - Level 2 is reached, and now we can both harass like crazy, especially because of that red buff steal, gives us a very very nice advantage. 2:45 - Were pushed a little bit, which is fine, we have it warded, and the jungler is [imgsmall=champ/trundle.png], he doesnt have a gap closer, so were pretty safe, although alistar can be tricky, just try to stay back and keep the harass up, if he starts running at you, just move, he most likely wont be moving up to do anything but [imgsmall=skills/alistar/w.png][imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] and try to kill or for incoming ganks. 4:32 I noticed my ward was just running out, doesnt show in the video but you can click on your wards at any time and it will show time remaining, so i refreshed the bottom ward. (Why i chose this spot is because i can see the second the jungler comes out of tri bush aswell as when he goes into the other bush from river) 5:54 - [imgsmall=champ/caitlyn.png] is backing, and i dont feel very pressured, so i stay and try to grab a few last hits, I used my silence to grab the low hp target, and soon after autos+silence, i miss a few though, but i dont constantly auto attack because i dont want to push the lane and deny my carry of any more exp or gold 6:39 - I back to buy some more [imgsmall=items/sight-ward.png], and infact i had enough for my [imgsmall=items/philosophers-stone.png]. I didnt have enough for ward at the time so i sit there for a few seconds. I wanted my [imgsmall=items/philosophers-stone.png] in this case early, wasn't much pressure from jungler, so i felt ok with only a [imgsmall=items/sight-ward.png]. In most cases, if the jungler is agreesive, just get the fairy charm and like 3-4 wards, because rather be safe then just get a few more gold per 10 seconds. 9:21 - [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] to [imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] and [imgsmall=champ/trundle.png] would follow up with red buff, Probably resulting in a kill, or very low soraka, but the second he [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] I [imgsmall=skills/soraka/e.png] and he cant do anything for the duration 9:57 - Im sorry lol recorder didnt catch it, at first i notice [imgsmall=champ/kassadin.png] tower diving, so when i get a chance i glance over, see his hp is very low, but he will live the last tower hit with a heal, so i use my ultimate [imgsmall=skills/soraka/r.png] And he barely lives (Not really shown due to lol recorder, but can see the cooldown and a thanks from [imgsmall=champ/kassadin.png]) 10:15 - because bottom had recently died, and same for middle, we decided to sneak a dragon 10:58 - My mistake, i went for rushing [imgsmall=items/heart-of-gold.png], instead of buying extra [imgsmall=items/sight-ward.png], i should have warded the bush, c[imgsmall=champ/caitlyn.png] gets caught, doesnt die tho, but a close call 11:45 - I had just healed but i see them starting to get closer, then [imgsmall=champ/sivir.png] pops her ultimate ([imgsmall=skills/sivir/r.png]) so i run back, im low, my [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png]/[imgsmall=summoners/heal.png] and [imgsmall=skills/soraka/r.png] are up, but i run away to safety, just so i dont die or have to blow those at the time. 13:30 - Around here [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] [imgsmall=skills/alistar/w.png], [imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png], does a little bit of damage, accompanied by [imgsmall=skills/sivir/q.png], but I heal him after he takes some damage, and give him armor buff, we then see [imgsmall=champ/trundle.png] come so just run away, we dont want to fight a 3v2, especially with a red buff Trundle, but he has no gap closer so were pretty safe 14:10 - we start a 4 man tower dive bottom and end up with a kill 14:37 - Finish my [imgsmall=items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png], and speed up the video for boring part, aswell as buy a [imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png] and some [imgsmall=items/sight-ward.png] for upcoming dragon 15:48 - Dragon attempt number 2 successful 15:55 - A small fight bottom 3v3 and both teams get pretty low but no kills/deaths 18:00 - A small fight starts, [imgsmall=champ/kassadin.png] is on the other side and gets pretty low but does escape [imgsmall=champ/riven.png], however we decided to stay in a 3v5, overstaying our welcome we die. 18:48 It ends with us dying, bad play on our part, In the end though [imgsmall=champ/kassadin.png] returns and picks up a Quadra Kill.. Sadly my cameraman doesn't look over at the [imgsmall=champ/kassadin.png] at the time! 19:18 We do dragon, sadly camera man again, and im not near baron but i do use my [imgsmall=skills/soraka/r.png] because my team is pretty low, they do kill it before i get there though. 20:10 Basically ends the game right here to secure the victory [/center]

[center] [title]Soraka[/title] Improved Soraka's basic attack to be more responsive Starcall mana cost adjusted to 20/30/40/50/60 from 35/40/45/50/55 Astral Blessing mana cost adjusted to 80/110/140/170/200 from 90/110/130/150/170 Infuse No longer affects Soraka when cast on allies and cannot be cast on self Ally mana restore increased to 40/80/120/160/200 Mana from 25/50/75/100/125 Honestly, i dont like the changes, they actually made Soraka's mana pool very small, she doesn't have that sustain given to her, and i dont feel she will be very viable anymore. Looking at the numbers, her heal got -10/0/10/20/30 Seeing that, just makes me feel she wont be as viable anymore, she had a good laning phase After 5... but getting to that point was hard enough, now im thinking, mana regen blues at least. I feel (2/14/2012 5:48 am) When the patch does come, she will probably be more viable with casters, rather then ad carries, just because the amount of mana she gives. If not true, possibly causing bottom lane to be more harass, like spam ashe volley rather then a healer, dont know just what i thnik msy happen. Will have to actually play her and find out.
