Twitch is a medium to long range AD carry, but what makes him different from most is that he has a 10-50 second stealth. which is the second longest stealth, only trumped by evelyn. I'm making this guide mainly because I see many bad [imgsmall=champ/twitch.png] out there, however I realize he is not the strongest champion out there, he does have several pros that I believe make him a viable choice. The main focus of this guide is game play, along with a core item build and a path that changes based on enemy team comp, how well your doing, what your team needs, and mainly how you see twitch.

I run with 9x Greater Mark of Desolation and 3x Greater Quintessence of Desolation for the 25 armor pen, this will help you dish out a ton of damage even to tankier champions, this also helps with last hitting during the laning phase. For Seals and Glyphs I run 9x Greater Glyph of Shielding for 14 armor and 9x Greater Seal of Warding for 14 magic resist which should give you a slightly tankier early game giving you more lane durability.

[title][img=skills/twitch/p.png] Passive: Deadly Venom[/title] [number]Twitch's attacks infect the target with Deadly Venom, which deals damage each second, stacks up to 6 times, and lasts up to 8 seconds.[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is a pretty decent passive which deals a small but noticeable amount of damage every second going up each stack stacking up to 6 times. I've personally gotten several kills with this on champions who escape while my expunge is on cooldown. [title][img=skills/twitch/q.png] Q: Ambush[/title] [number]After 1.25 seconds, Twitch becomes stealthed for 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 seconds. If Twitch attacks a unit while Stealthed, he gains 30 / 45 / 60 / 80 / 100% attack speed for up to 10 seconds, depending on how long he was stealthed before attacking. Cooldown 11seconds Cost 60mana Range 20[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is what seperates Twitch from other Ranged Carries, Not only is this used for ganking, roaming, and backdooring, but it also forces the enemy team to purchase [imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png] and [imgsmall=items/oracles-elixir.png] out of fear that you may gank them. The key to beying a good twitch is timing out when you leave stealth ofcourse staying stealthed while surround by enemies is obvious but the real reason is you try and predict when teamfights are going to happen so you can try and get the maximum time on your attack speed increase, because you gain the passive attack speed increase for longer based on how long you were stealthed. [title][img=skills/twitch/w.png] W: Debilitating Poison[/title] [number]Slows nearby enemy champions' move speed by 30%, plus 6% per Deadly Venom they have. 2.5 / 3.25 / 4 / 4.75 / 5.25 second duration. Cooldown 10seconds Cost 80mana Range 200[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is Twitches one point wonder. This ability can be coupled with [imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png] to secure kills. Try to hit the enemy once and [imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] then try and max out 6 stacks of [imgsmall=skills/twitch/p.png] and [imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png]. [title][img=skills/twitch/e.png] E: Expunge[/title] [number]Deals 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 (+100% of ability power) magic damage to each nearby poisoned enemy, plus 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 additional damage per stack of Deadly Venom applied to them. Cooldown 8seconds Cost 90mana Range 200[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is twitches bread and butter skill. It deals a base damage(+ 1/1 AP) plus additional damage per [imgsmall=skills/twitch/p.png] and has a fairly decent range to finish off those enemies who flash out. It does however consume your [imgsmall=skills/twitch/p.png]. [title][img=skills/twitch/r.png] R: Spray and Pray[/title] [number]Twitch gains 15 / 25 / 35 attack damage and his attacks become long range line missiles for 12 seconds, dealing 100% damage and poisoning all enemies hit. During this duration, a maximum of 5 / 6 / 7 missiles can be fired. Cooldown 105 / 90 / 75seconds Cost 150mana Range 1200[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is a AWESOME multi target ultimate that gives twitch additional range and damage, It is a great ability to use in teamfights. Positioning with this is key, once the teamfight has started try to position yourself to hit the most enemies as possible while still at a safe distance. After you fire your last shot i suggest you use your W[imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] and e[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png] because most of the enemies should have 6 or close to 6 stacks of [imgsmall=skills/twitch/p.png] NOTE: This is a skill shot and you CAN miss with it. I do not suggest using this to chase enemies but can be used as a last resort

Skill priority R>E>Q>W taking 1 lvl in [imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] at level 1 or 2 and 1 level of [imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] at lvl 4. I prioritise [imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] over [imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] because of [imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] at level 1 only last 10 seconds and gives a very small amount of attack speed increases more dramatically as you level it where as[imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] has a strong level 1 and doesn't realy need to be leveled to do its job.

[title]Starting Items:[/title] I generally start my game off as twitch with [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png]. However you can also start with a [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] . Generally when I back I start working on my [imgsmall=items/wriggles-lantern.png] the item(s) your purchase first realy depend on what you need. need more damage? Then [imgsmall=items/long-sword.png]. Taking alot of AD damage then [imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png] . Need more lane durability then I'd grab a [imgsmall=items/vampiric-scepter.png]. also if you have 75+ gold at anytime you back buy [imgsmall=items/sight-ward.png] However if you are laning against heavy casters id finish up my [imgsmall=items/mercurys-treads.png] [title]Mid Game:[/title] Now you should have your [imgsmall=items/wriggles-lantern.png] and [imgsmall=items/mercurys-treads.png] and should begin building your [imgsmall=items/infinity-edge.png]. At this point you have to decide what path to take next. Want more oomph out of your [imgsmall=skills/twitch/p.png] and [imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png] grab a [imgsmall=items/malady.png]. This will realy help when you finish off the champs who get away with the extra bit of poison from [imgsmall=items/malady.png] and it reduces the magic resist making [imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png] deadlier. Need some more damage and magic resist:[imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] If your doing well and not being focused to hard try building one of these items: [imgsmall=items/the-black-cleaver.png] [imgsmall=items/the-bloodthirster.png] [imgsmall=items/phantom-dancer.png] Do they have Health stacking champions? Then pick up a [imgsmall=items/madreds-bloodrazor.png] Doing well but being focused: [imgsmall=items/frozen-mallet.png][imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] This is a great item I cannot tell you how many times this has made the difference on life or death, especially if they have a pesky[imgsmall=champ/karthus.png] Bad early game and being focused : [imgsmall=items/quicksilver-sash.png] [imgsmall=items/banshees-veil.png] [imgsmall=items/sunfire-cape.png] [title]Late game:[/title] At this point you generally would want to build survivabillity: [imgsmall=items/guardian-angel.png] [imgsmall=items/banshees-veil.png][imgsmall=items/thornmail.png] However if you had a bad early game and you built surviability and you luck turned around you can go back and build more offensively. [imgsmall=items/phantom-dancer.png][imgsmall=items/last-whisper.png] [imgsmall=items/the-black-cleaver.png] If you're fully built and still have [imgsmall=items/wriggles-lantern.png] I suggest selling this for a heavy damage or tanky item depending on what you need. and of course if you've made it this far: [imgsmall=items/elixir-of-agility.png][imgsmall=items/elixir-of-brilliance.png][imgsmall=items/elixir-of-fortitude.png] [imgsmall=items/oracles-elixir.png]

[title]Laning:[/title] To start off Twitch is a very squishy champion and is very farm dependant so early game is tough but is key to success. I generally like to Duo lane because it gives me an easier early game especially if you lane with a support healer such as : [imgsmall=champ/taric.png] [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] [imgsmall=champ/nidalee.png] Twitch CAN solo lane but it is most likely going to be very tough. especially if its a 2v1 lane. This also makes it tougher to gank other lanes because you are leaving you're lane empty while doing so. I play fairly passive untill lvl 3, focusing on last hits and not taking harass. Once I hit lvl 4 I tend to try and gank Mid lane. While laning I like to try juggle in and out of the bush stealthing and popping up forcing them to call MIA making other lanes weary and forcing them to slack on calling MIA on you making it easier to gank. [title]Ganking:[/title] When ganking remember a few key things: who is MIA and how long they have been MIA. Do they have a jungler? If so are they seen on the map? Is the intended enemy to close to the turret to safely postion yourself?If Things are looking good, now is a great time to gank. Remember while ganking positioning is everything. I try to stand slightly behind the enemy I am ganking wedging them inbetween me and my ally. After a gank whether your going back to your lane, other lane, or recalling to buy items make them believe your going somewhere that your not making the enemies react giving some slight lane control. Remeber to take The Red buff whenever possible, only if your jungler is Okay with it

Now mid game is where you should start to shine. You should have ganked a few times making the enemy team wary of you and forced them to purchase a few [imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png] or maybe even a [imgsmall=items/oracles-elixir.png] making them slightly behind on items. At this point you should have finished your [imgsmall=items/wriggles-lantern.png] [imgsmall=items/mercurys-treads.png] and either have or be working on your [imgsmall=items/infinity-edge.png]. Team fights should be breaking out and this is where twitch really makes his impact(No not just ganking early game and becoming useless after that). When a team fight does break out you need to position yourself to where [imgsmall=skills/twitch/r.png] can hit the most amount of enemies while staying at a decent distance away so that they don't just focus you and melt you. use all of your [imgsmall=skills/twitch/r.png] shots and [imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png] as things start getting a bit more chaotic use your [imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] while focusing there carry(s) to slow them and secure the kill(s).

Now late game is here and your a monster, dishing out massive amounts of damage while having a reasonable amount of surviability. BE WARNED: You are a major target and will be destroyed if you are out place, do not rely on stealth because they most likely have [imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png] and [imgsmall=items/oracles-elixir.png]. If you see an enemy with [imgsmall=items/oracles-elixir.png] communicate with your team and try to kill this person. This may not be possible without causing a loss for your team, if so you just have to cope with it and try and take them out during a team fight. At this point both teams will most likely be looking for opportunities to take baron( and dragon) Twitch is incredibly good at baron control he can stealth (be weary of enemy [imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png]) in and drop [imgsmall=items/sight-ward.png][imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png] and scout the area for enemy [imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png] [imgsmall=items/sight-ward.png] with an [imgsmall=items/oracles-elixir.png]. At this point one or both bases should be pretty damaged possibly leaving an open inhibitor. If this is so you can look for opportunities to back door(do not back door turrets unless they have a sliver of health) knowing the right time to back door is the key to a good back door. If you see that all of the enemy team is past the river on your side of the map or several are dead and you know where the remaning ones left alive are this is a good time to back door.

Not much to say, Get Red buff as much as possible. You can solo it after lvl 8 if you [imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] for the full duration and attack it. Blue buff is not necessary but it does help, but I'm sure somebody else could find better use of it
