One day I finished playing some games with my friends and decided to buy a new champion. I looked around and decided Viktor would be a good choice. I started playing him and really enjoyed the playstyle. He is very fun and has interesting moves. I build him as a high AP character with lots of burst.

[imgext=] [highlight]Greater Quintessence of Potency[/highlight] This gives Viktor a flat 15 AP to boost his early game. If you choose to start with Doran's Ring, thats about 33 AP to start. [imgext=] [highlight]Greater Mark of Insight[/highlight] This gives you roughly 9 magic penetration. Magic Penetration helps later in game when enemy champions start getting magic resistance. [imgext=] [highlight]Greater Seal of Force[/highlight] This gives Viktor about 32 extra AP at level 18. These become equivalent to the flat AP runes at level 6 and keep becoming better after that point. [imgext=] [highlight]Greater Glyph of Force[/highlight] These runes give you roughly 54 AP when you are level 18. They reach the level of the flat AP runes at level 5 and continue to become better.

[title][img=skills/viktor/p.png] Passive: Evolving Technology[/title] [number]Viktor starts with a Hex Core that provides him with stats and can be upgraded in the store to augment one of his abilities. The Hex Core can only be upgraded once, and cannot be sold back to the store.[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] I upgrade this to Augment: Death to get the bonus Ability Power and to add the DoT effect on my Death Ray. [title][img=skills/viktor/q.png] Q: Power Transfer[/title] [number]Viktor blasts an enemy unit dealing magic damage, returning a portion of the damage dealt as a shield.[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] I max this first because it is the highest damage spell and is easy to land on a target. The shield effect it applies is also useful for harassing champions in your lane. [title][img=skills/viktor/w.png] W: Gravity Field[/title] [number]Viktor conjures a heavy gravitational field that slows any target in its radius. If enemies stay too long within the radius of the device, they get stunned.[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] I take a point in this at level 3 and max it last. I use it to slow and stun people running or people chasing me. I also place it down during team fights to either stun them or stop their movement in that location. [title][img=skills/viktor/e.png] E: Death Ray[/title] [number]Viktor uses his robotic arm to fire a chaos beam that cuts across the field in a lane, dealing damage to any opponenets struck in its path.[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] I max this second for the high amount of damage it does. It is somewhat difficult to aim at first but once you get the hang of it, it is a very useful tool. You can use it to harass, do high amounts of damage, or kill people running from you. [title][img=skills/viktor/r.png] R: Chaos Storm[/title] [number]Viktor conjures a singularity on the field which deals magic damage and briefly silences enemies. The singularity then does magic damage to all nearby enemies every second. Viktor can redirect the singularity.[/number] This spell is very similar to Annie's Summon Tibbers and I use it in a similar way. I drop it on top of people that I have stunned in my Gravity Field. I also use it to damage people behind me that are chasing me after a team fight, or to do damage to people running from me.

[img=items/sorcerers-shoes.png] [highlight]Sorcerer's Shoes[/highlight] - Get these for the increased movement speed and the magic penetration they provide which helps later in the game when champions start to get magic resistance. [img=items/rod-of-ages.png] [highlight]Rod of Ages[/highlight] - I buy this item for the bonus health and mana it gives and the bonus Ability Power. I try to finish this item first so I can get the benefits from it as soon as possible. [img=items/rabadons-deathcap.png] [highlight]Rabadon's Deathcap[/highlight] - I get Rabadon's Deathcap after my first 3 items. It gives you 140 Ability Power which is a large amount by itself, but it also gives you an addition 30% Ability Power to boost it even more. [img=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] [highlight]Rylai's Crystal Scepter[/highlight] - I get this for the health and ability power boosts and for the slow which prevents enemy champions from running away. [img=items/will-of-the-ancients.png] [highlight]Will of the Ancients[/highlight] - I buy Will of the Ancients last. It gives you a small amount of AP and also provides a buff that gives you and your team 25% spell vamp and even more ability power.

Overall, Viktor is a very good champion to be. I build him as a high AP, high burst character, although you may have success with a different build. Following this guide does not guarantee you victory, but it will give you a solid build to help you wreck others.
