This guide is for a champion that I like a lot since the first time I played her in PBE, Zyra. I like her because she is fun to play and she is unique, although she might remind you of Heimerdinger, she is played actively rather than passively. [highlight]M.Regen/Level Seals:[/highlight] Harassing takes quite a lot of mana, you need this to avoid running out of mana. [highlight]Flat M.Regen Seals:[/highlight]I think M.Regen/Level seals are much better than flat ones, because they will only provide more M.Regen from Lv1 to 5. During those levels, you shouldn't be spamming your abilities like crazy. Post Lv6, the /Level seals will become better than the flat ones, and that's pretty much when you become more active. [highlight]Flat MR Gylphs:[/highlight] MR is more effective when you don't have a lot of it, so I sacrifice some AP for some very worthwhile MR. I did experiment with going with the defense mastery route by going 21/9/0 however I felt the 9 points in utility benefited [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] more. [title]Utility:[/title] This tree is quite flexible, even if you only have 9 points. I put a point in [number]Improved Recall[/number] because I tend to recall in very dangerous areas. It has helped me countless time. I picked [number]Meditation[/number] ove[number]r Swiftness [/number]because the mana regen. is really good compared to the 2% m.speed. It doesn't mean Swiftness is bad though, you could split the points in half, or simply take m.speed over mana/s. It's up to you.

You can even hit multiple targets, dealing [number]linear true damage[/number] to them. If you are in a 100% death situation, simply deal as much damage as you can, and finish your opponents with your passive. Stay close to your seeds to make sure you can cast a spell before they do. You can also use them after your spells for some kind of surprise plant attack. Cast your E first, then plant one of those in your E's path. It's also a free ward, use it if you feel like someone's coming. Don't use them under the turret though, they get killed instantly. Here are some useful informations you may not know about the plants. E plants = Vine Lasher Q plants = Thorn Spitter The plants have 6 HP. [.]Autoattacks from[number] Champions[/number] deal [number]2[/number] damage. [.]Autoattacks from [number]Minions[/number] and[number] Monsters [/number]deal [number]1[/number] damage. [.][number]Area of effect[/number] spells deal[number] 3[/number] damage. [.][number]Single target spells[/number] deal[number] 4 [/number]damage. [.][number]Turrets shots[/number] deal [number]6[/number] damage. The plants will prioritize champions. [.]If there are no champions in range, the plant will prioritize Zyra's target. The plants don't proc on-hit effects. They have a 4 seconds invulnerability after being planted. After the delay, they can be stepped on. They [number]dont attack structures[/number] such as [number]Turrets[/number],[number] Inhibitor[/number]s, and[number] Nexus[/number]. They do proc spell vamp and Rylai's, but with diminished effects. Even though the plant's attack is a single target projectile, it will only apply 15% slow. The seeds range is a little bit over the blue circle, so you can place them quite far away from your position to scout or set traps. The Passive: [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] gives either a slow of 35% to single target abilities or 15% to AOE abilities This passive actually means we can do something with [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png], With [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] when we root someone with [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] we should [number]immediately spawn as many plants that we have available[/number] on the enemy. Normally [number]only the Vine Lasher has a slow[/number], this would be great however the Vine Lasher has half the range of the Thorn Spitters so it can't manage to get that many attacks off which is a bit unsatisfactory for me. Having the ranged (Thorn Spitters) plants attack and have a slow inbuilt is much more effective because they can get more hits in with the slow which results in more damage being done and you now have [number]added a form of soft CC to [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png]kit.[/number] What I particularly like most about Rylai's on [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] is the [number]ultimate[/number] [imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png]. We [number]do not want to sacrifice the early game[/number] potential when we could build [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] later and be much stronger in the battlefield because of it. TL;DR: [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] is better.

[center][title]Teammates[/title][/center] Teamates that goes very well with Zyra are pretty much anyone with AoE CC. [imgsmall=champ/amumu.png][imgsmall=champ/jarvaniv.png] are good examples. You should let them initiate before throwing your ult, because their CC is instant, but yours is delayed. [imgsmall=champ/rumble.png][imgsmall=champ/kennen.png][imgsmall=champ/vladimir.png] are very nice too, because of double [imgsmall=items/will-of-the-ancients.png] and good AoE damage. [title][center]Opponents[/center][/title] Be very careful against high-mobility champions or high-burst champion! [imgsmall=champ/ahri.png][imgsmall=champ/leblanc.png][imgsmall=champ/veigar.png][imgsmall=champ/kassadin.png] They are good against Zyra, because they will be hard to target, or will kill you before you do anything. You should keep a safe distance after they hit Lv6. [highlight]*This section will be updated as I play against champions! Normals will now apply.* I do not play Zyra 24/7, so it will take a while to fill this chapter.[/highlight] [center][highlight]- Easy -[/highlight][/center] [img=champ/ryze.png] Easy lane if played correctly. You obviously[number] out range [/number]him, so harass as much as you want, it will be nearly impossible for him to touch you. By the time he tries to come close to you, your Vine Lashers will slow him and deal a lot of damage. At this point, he's [number]forced to retreat[/number]. [center][highlight]- Normal -[/highlight][/center] [img=champ/cassiopeia.png] In the early levels, you should be fine, but once she gets the Blue, or any decent source of mana, her harass will become annoying. You can trade with her because you have a greater burst, but [number]don't stay too close[/number] because she has lower cooldowns. [img=champ/morgana.png] Morgana is quite hard to kill 1v1 because of her shield, but you can easily bait it, so it's better to ask for a gank. Always push your lane to prevent her from farming well and taking your Wraiths. [center][highlight]- Hard -[/highlight][/center] [img=champ/kassadin.png] Very very bad lane. When he reaches 6, you can't do anything. Your only chance to do something is before 6, but it is still very hard.

Farm farm farm harass farm farm.... use your [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] to zone your enemy, or use it as a ward if you think someone's trying to gank you. You can also keep your seeds to throw 2 at once to harass. Harass with your Q but try not to hit the minions to avoid pushing. Don't overdo it, you might end up OOM. If you want to deal more damage, do [highlight][imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] > [imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] > [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png][/highlight]. Your enemy will be snared, so back off after your combo, don't let him touch you! Using W first is useless, because it will make the attack too easy to predict. Take the wraiths when you can, using [highlight][imgsmall=skills/zyra/w.png] > [imgsmall=skills/zyra/e.png] > [imgsmall=skills/zyra/q.png][/highlight]. You can clear the camp by staying on the other side of the wall. I recommend at least being Lv5 and having your [imgsmall=items/dorans-ring.png][imgsmall=items/dorans-ring.png] before farming Wraiths. You can also do it at Lv3, but it is not a really good idea, unless you just got first blood and you're going to back afterwards, or something. Anyway, it's better to simply recall.

Zyra is very strong at this stage of the game. You should have a [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] at this stage or quickly approaching towards it, depending on how much farms and kills you got. Your primary goal is to farm your lane, Wraiths and force/take objectives, the reason for this being is that [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] is amazing in team fights so you want to abuse this fact and if they do not challenge you, you get to take a [number]free objective[/number]. You need to be getting your [imgsmall=items/rabadons-deathcap.png] ASAP after [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] as it [number]greatly enhances your damage. [/number] So you need to farm your lane well, push and then take the enemy Wraiths and your Wraiths if your jungler will let you, if you manage to do this you will be [number]really ahead[/number] and be able to dominate the game with your [number]superior items[/number]. At this stage of the game though the most important thing in my opinion is forcing team fights or skirmishes this is [number]where you are strongest[/number]!

You got a ton of AP, you're a walking plant of pain! You need to make sure your endgame item choices are relevant to the game that you are playing and how it is panning out. Baron is a key objective late game and indeed throughout the later stages of the Mid Game, a won baron can turn around a losing game and can be all that you need to snowball to victory, Baron gives a ton of gold, XP, and a huge AP, AD, HP5, MP5 buff. this is why it is extremely important to make sure you acquire this beast's buff and not the enemy team. Luckily though we are playing [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] who is amazing at baron fight's and also very good at killing baron. Your ultimate [imgsmall=skills/zyra/r.png] fills nearly all of the baron pit, so you can imagine why fights for objectives are heavily weighed in your favour when you have a huge AOE knockup, just image load's of [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png]s running around in baron pit using there knockup, sounds crazy right? So for me in late game with [imgsmall=champ/zyra.png] Baron is my number 1 target and therefore you should either force a fight for baron or take it, once you have done this your team will be very strong and will be able to siege tower after tower, snowballing your team even further ahead.

Zyra has a very good [number]AoE CC[/number] kit, so landing your spells are very important in teamfights. Hit as much targets as possible, focusing priorities, of course. With her [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png], she has [number]great peeling potential[/number], so protect your ADC too. Make sure you place your plants inside your ultimate, because they will become stronger. [number]Ideal locations to fight[/number] are either in [number]tight areas[/number] or [number]objectives[/number]. Your ultimate will be harder to escape and you have more chance to hit multiple targets with your abilities. Here is a 2v4 situation at dragon. I tried to steal the dragon with my ultimate, but I failed. However, I still perfectly placed it on their team, so they are[number] forced to retreat from the roots[/number]. Notice how they all refute the central point of my ultimate, [number]separating their team[/number].
