Hi, thanks for reading my Bard guide. After releasing a ton of guides that were wordy and lengthy, I wanted to move towards shorter but clearer guides that covers exactly what a champion does and is capable of doing with greater visual accuracy. The guides will be denoted with a [S] at the beginning for clarity. This guide covers Bard as a support laner, an incredibly high-capped champion that has the potential to carry games in a very unique manner. As opposed to regular supports who either engage or disengage, Bard has the ability to create fights that are favorable for his team by altering the landscape. I'll go more in-depth with what I mean in the skills section, but as of now the below lists his strengths and weaknesses. Pros [.]Reliable poke and sustain [.]Low CD stun that's reliable in teamfights [.]Slow [.]Ability to flank with jungle [.]Allow teammates to pass through terrain [.]Allows teammates to gain a Zhonyas or disable the enemy team [.]Noteworthy heal [.]Able to roam easily with chimes [.]Deceivingly hard to kill and catch Cons [.]Requires mastery over positioning [.]Very squishy [.]Relatively low range [.]Must be clutch with CC [.]Ultimate is hard to aim in team fights [.]Using tunnels can be difficult to master
Build Order: R > Q > E > W Cosmic Binding is what you should generally level as it opens play opportunities, on a 3-4 second interval with max CDR. Your heal doesn't scale very well, but a decent AP ratio, thus leaving it at level 1 while building Spellthief's etc. is better. Magical Journey scales very well with level, as it also increases your escape factor with bonus move speed within the tunnel, and should be leveled second.
