[highlight]Fury[/highlight] - Slightly increases the jungle speed. Adds to [imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png] [highlight]Sorcery[/highlight] - CDR is very effective for [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png]. [highlight]Deadliness[/highlight] - For the next mastery. There is 1:1 bonus AD scaling for [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] though. [highlight]Weapon Expertise[/highlight] - % Arpen is calculated before flat, this makes flat Arpen more effective. [highlight]Brute Force[/highlight] - 1:1 bonus AD with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png], faster jungle. [highlight]Sunder[/highlight] - Adds to runed Arpen and [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png]'s Arpen. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Normally real men don't take defense but Olaf needs to with his [highlight]NAKED BICEPS[/highlight]. Unfortunately his [highlight]BICEPS[/highlight] are not a ranged auto attack so we need armour for Olaf. The lack of organisation and communication means that it is perfect for zoning out players who are weaker than you because it's solo queue and you're the best! You want to make their wimpy life as horrible as you can. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [title]My roadblock is ranged because I first-picked Olaf what do I do?[/title] [img=skills/olaf/r.png]>[img=skills/olaf/w.png]>[img=skills/olaf/q.png]>[img=skills/olaf/e.png] Lets be honest now, if the roadblock is just flinging fecal matter at you like an ape it's quite likely you're not going to be closing the distance to excrete thunder all up inside them. Maxing [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png] will get you to about [highlight]30% lifesteal[/highlight] with a [highlight]50 AD[/highlight] boost by level 9. This will make you NEVER DIE, ALWAYS SURVIVE! Maxing [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] next will be therefore quite a logical step considering you got [highlight]50 extra AD on it now.[/highlight]. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [title]My jungler doesnt have any CC because they are stupid.[/title] ([imgsmall=champ/shyvana.png][imgsmall=champ/drmundo.png][imgsmall=champ/tryndamere.png]) [img=skills/olaf/r.png]>[img=skills/olaf/q.png]>[img=skills/olaf/e.png]>[img=skills/olaf/w.png] [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] makes them slower with each rank. That means that your useless jungler can actually gank your lane and do something if you can aim them. Because of this Olaf can [highlight]run fast and chase NANNIES who do not run fast[/highlight] but poof ([imgsmall=summoners/flash.png]) like wizards. Running away from fights is NOT MANLY but if you need to: [imgsmall=summoners/ghost.png]+[imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] will let you live to re-polish your [highlight]BICEPS.[/highlight] [.]More distance covered overall than [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png]. [.]Combined with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] it's like a free getaway [.]Much more suited for [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] chaining. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [highlight]Teleport:[/highlight] Getting to fights faster is YES. Awesome when [highlight]combined with lifesteal[/highlight] to make sure that YOU NEVER DIE. Throwing the axe foetus at roadblocks will make them turn into GOLD. Axes have many uses: Throwing at BABBY MINIONS [highlight](mass farming)[/highlight], throwing at BABBY CHAMPS [highlight](damaging enemy champions)[/highlight], chasing BABBY CHAMPS (they have insults written on the axes that make [highlight]BABBIES SLOW DOWN[/highlight]). [highlight]If you're getting chased throwing axes will SCARE THEM AWAY.[/highlight] [.] [highlight]1:1[/highlight] bonus AD ratio. [.] I normally take [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] at level 1 as if you get invaded you can spazz out and throw your axe at them and GET THE FUCK OUT [center][imgext=http://imageshack.us/a/img202/4449/olafw.png][/center] Olaf is actually a VAMPIRE VIKING BADASS PORN STAR. This keeps Olaf healthy because he licks his axes like STEEL LOLLIPOPS. This power gives you lots of [highlight]AD[/highlight], lots of [highlight]LIFESTEAL[/highlight], and lots of [highlight]SPELLVAMP.[/highlight] (Spellvamp is [highlight]OP[/highlight] so you are officially [highlight]OP[/highlight]). [.]Spellvamp [highlight]procs heals from[/highlight] [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png][imgsmall=summoners/smite.png]. [.]Use on low health to [highlight]NOT BE DEAD[/highlight]. [.]Use before [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] [highlight]for extra damage[/highlight]. [center][imgext=http://imageshack.us/a/img213/8366/olafe.png][/center] Olaf calls up his granddad THOR and he SHITS THUNDER on roadblocks, causing them to take [highlight]TONS OF TRUE DAMAGE[/highlight]. However, Olaf's massive [highlight]BICEPS[/highlight] get in the way of the thunder causing himself to be hit in the process. This power is [highlight]BRA[/highlight] (that's Finnish for good). Because with this you can [highlight]stop people getting money[/highlight] from your BABBY MINIONS. [.]Use to [highlight]zone melee roadblocks[/highlight]. [.]At [highlight]40% CDR[/highlight] the cooldown is [highlight]2.4 SECONDS[/highlight] (thats [highlight]142 DPS[/highlight] without anything else). [.]Has a [highlight]slightly longer range than melee[/highlight] so you will always [highlight]cast it before they can hit you.[/highlight] [center][imgext=http://imageshack.us/a/img132/599/olafr.png][/center] [title]Explanation:[/title] The idea behind this ability is: [number]1[/number] Ping your target. [number]2[/number] Have someone initiate.(or yourself if you're a bad enough dude). [number]3[/number] Ghost at your target. [number]4[/number] Pop this badboy. [number]5[/number] [highlight]MURDER.[/highlight] Ragnarok is the mythical end of the world, also known as the EUROCRISIS. This is actually the end of all enemy champions... ...BECAUSE YOU KILL THEM. You're a fucking unstoppable train truck hybrid with [highlight]MASSIVE TITS[/highlight] that will destroy everything. It gives you [highlight]more armour and MR[/highlight] because your skin is lubricated with ROADBLOCK BABBY TEARS. [highlight]This ignores all CC[/highlight]. [.]Use in 1v1's [highlight]before they cast spells[/highlight] to negate most of the damage. [.]Use this and [imgsmall=summoners/teleport.png] for them to never interrupt the [imgsmall=summoners/teleport.png] with CC. [.]Combined with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png] will make you MANLY under 50% HP.

[center][img=items/warmogs-armor.png][/center] I used to absolutely detest [imgsmall=items/warmogs-armor.png] when I started playing, not on Olaf, but as an item in general. But I have seen the errors of my ways. 'Mogs is a good item as it gives Olaf a lot of one of his [highlight]really necessary stats[/highlight]: [highlight]HEALTH[/highlight]. Health gives Olaf [highlight]more damage[/highlight] on his [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png] and as a result[highlight] more lifesteal[/highlight] from his [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png] and also[highlight] more damage[/highlight] on his [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png], whilst his free armour/MR from [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] covers you on defense stats. It's an expensive item to rush however, and it takes a while for all the stacks to fill up unless you're in one of those crazy 18 minute dragon teamfights. + [highlight]HEALTH IS GOOD FOR OLAF[/highlight] + [highlight]COMPLIMENTS HIS ABILITIES[/highlight] - [highlight]EXPENSIVE[/highlight] - [highlight]STACKS TAKE A WHILE[/highlight] [center][img=items/atmas-impaler.png][/center] This item is [imgsmall=items/warmogs-armor.png]'s lost brother and gives 2 necessary stats:[highlight] ARMOUR AND AD[/highlight], and 1 complimentary stat: [highlight]CRIT[/highlight]. The cost of this item compared to the stats you get from it (in some cases,[highlight] a whole [imgsmall=items/bf-sword.png] and [imgsmall=items/chain-vest.png] and [imgsmall=items/cloak-of-agility.png] in one[/highlight]) Makes it such an efficient item! And plus, it really compliments the [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png]'s AD ratio of 1% of max health as it makes it as if [highlight]Olaf has one constant [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png] on, minus the lifesteal.[/highlight]. The only problem is that you need a nice portion of health to make it useful and by itself, falls flat on it's face [highlight](Never rush this item you massive polo-head.)[/highlight]. + [highlight]DEFENSE AND OFFENSE IN ONE[/highlight] + [highlight]COMPLIMENTS WARMOGS[/highlight] - [highlight]NOT GOOD BY ITSELF[/highlight] [center][img=items/dorans-blade.png][/center] Oh man, this item has almost entirely necessary stats for Olaf: [highlight]HEALTH[/highlight],[highlight] LIFESTEAL[/highlight] and [highlight]AD[/highlight]. There is nothing wrong with this item on Olaf and it's entirely encouraged you get about 2 to make yourself a lot stronger in the early and mid game. My only quarrel with these are that they do not build into anything, and are essentially stepping stones, so they delay your full build a little if you're not getting a large sum of gold. + [highlight]EFFICIENT[/highlight] + [highlight]GOOD FOR EARLY GAME[/highlight] - [highlight]DELAYS BUILD IF INCOME IS LOW[/highlight] - [highlight]NOT A GOOD STARTING ITEM[/highlight] [center][img=items/wriggles-lantern.png][/center] By the beard of Odin, this item is manly as whiskey. Again, this item gives some really necessary stats: ARMOUR, AD, LIFESTEAL. The advantage over [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] is that it gives you a permanent [imgsmall=items/sight-ward.png] (implying it doesn't get destroyed by [imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png] or [imgsmall=items/oracles-elixir.png]). And so your lane will be covered for ganks if you look at the map enough. The 2 downsides are, however: No health unlike [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] and accidental PROC's from [imgsmall=items/wriggles-lantern.png] can push your lane. Otherwise, a really really efficient and wonderful item. + [highlight]EFFICIENT[/highlight] + [highlight]PERMANENT WARD[/highlight] + [highlight]SEXY SUSTAIN[/highlight] - [highlight]NO HEALTH IN LANE[/highlight] - [highlight]ACCIDENTAL INSTAGIBBED MINIONS WILL PUSH YOUR LANE[/highlight] [center][img=items/frozen-mallet.png][/center] Frozen Mallet is a really good item for Olaf as it gives 2 necessary stats: [highlight]HEALTH[/highlight] and [highlight]AD [/highlight](not much for it's cost though). Frozen Mallet eliminates the necessity to rely on [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] when chasing people, and in combination with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png]+[imgsmall=summoners/ghost.png] it means there's a very unlikely chance they will get away from you. It's baby form, [imgsmall=items/phage.png] is a really useful item for laning and isnt as inefficient cost wise than ol' Malley Mallet. The problem with this item is that it costs more than [imgsmall=items/warmogs-armor.png] but gives less health, and for the 825g recipe finish you get a whopping [highlight]2 AD[/highlight] and in that sense if you can aim you axe, Warmogs and just phage would be more efficient. + [highlight]GOOD FOR CHASING[/highlight] + [highlight]USEFUL STATS[/highlight] - [highlight]COST PER STAT IS SHITTY[/highlight] - [highlight]OFFERS LESS DEFENSE-WISE THAN SIMILAR HP ITEMS[/highlight] [center][img=items/zekes-herald.png][/center] Holy Shit. I got a massive boner when I saw that the Stark's Fervour was made into this bad-ass piece of viking candy. This has a lot of the stats Olaf benefits from from the get go: [highlight]Health[/highlight], [highlight]Life-steal[/highlight] and [highlight]CDR[/highlight]. There is not really any reason not to get this bad-boy, it benefits some junglers and AD Carrys due to the aura effect and it helps you all around a healthy mid game item, you could sell this lategame to provide yourself with a little more extreme [highlight]offence or defence[/highlight] depending on how the game is going. + [highlight]ALL THE STATS YOU NEED[/highlight] + [highlight]BENEFITS OTHERS[/highlight] + [highlight]MADE FOR OLAF[/highlight] - [highlight]NOT EFFICIENT LATEGAME[/highlight] - [highlight]NO DAMAGE[/highlight] [center][img=items/philosophers-stone.png]+[img=items/heart-of-gold.png][/center] Gold per 5 items work fairly well on Olaf, not going to lie, since both of their upgrades contribute nicely with [highlight]Health, MS, Health Regen, Armour and Slows[/highlight] they can fit nicely into an Olaf build too. both of these together would cost you 1625 gold, with 2 gold per 5 seconds, the time it would take for you to get the gold back you spent on passively would be (including the 13g/10seconds you get already on Summoner's Rift) would be [highlight]16 minutes[/highlight] therefore you should wait around that time before upgrading them. Perhaps by buying another item in-between upgrading them ([imgsmall=items/zekes-herald.png]/[imgsmall=items/phage.png]) + [highlight]GOOD STATS[/highlight] + [highlight]MORE MONEY[/highlight] + [highlight]CAN BE MADE INTO A CDR ORIENTATED BUILD[/highlight] - [highlight]NO OFFENSIVE CAPABILITIES[/highlight] - [highlight]HARDER TO USE AGAINST AGGRESSIVE LANERS[/highlight]

[.]Farm. If your CS is not equal or more you are losing your lane. [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] them away from your minions, you want them to not want to come near you. And you want to farm safely. [.]If you've died you're probably going to die again. Call for the jungler and do not let pride get in the way. [.]Learn how much [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] will do to you. Add up how much damage you can do to them (roughly including armor). [highlight]Nothing is luck, just cold hard numbers.[/highlight] [.]Last hit to prevent being pushed. [.]A kill isnt worth you dying too, in some cases you will be better off with them recalling and you getting free farm. [.]don't waste [imgsmall=summoners/teleport.png] [.]if the enemy jungler has started at red ([imgsmall=summoners/clairvoyance.png]'d them) and you're blue team you will be ganked at level 2. [.]When you go back for the first time buy [imgsmall=items/sight-ward.png]'s

[.]Depending on how well you have done early, you should take their turret or leave their turret. If you're winning [highlight]DO NOT TAKE THE TURRET.[/highlight] You want to keep zoning them since they can not stop you without their jungler and you have bought [imgsmall=items/sight-ward.png]'s. If you're losing consider taking the turret ASAP. [.]keep [imgsmall=summoners/teleport.png] handy for dragons and teamfights. [.]Don't go into the enemies jungle without back up and do not facecheck any bushes without scouting with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] [.]In Mid-Game teamfights, go for the AP carry or the enemy top laner, chances are their AD carry doesnt have sufficient items to be a worry. [.]DON'T FIGHT 2V1. (Unless you're on 10/1/0 and want to have a laugh.) [.]If your support isnt warding you should. [.]You shouldnt initiate fights unless you're the only one who can take a beating. [.]Don't pop [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] straight away in fights unless you're initiating.

[.][highlight]DON'T FARM BOT LANE![/highlight] If they see you bot-lane they'll go for baron and you will be at a comparative disadvantage (alternatively bait the weaker team to do it and [imgsmall=summoners/teleport.png] on a nearby ward for a forced teamfight) [.]Focus the AD carry. Don't hit [imgsmall=champ/rammus.png], even if you do true damage. [.]In some cases it's better to defend your own AD carry than to attack theirs (your AD carry has the majority of kills). [.]buy [imgsmall=items/elixir-of-agility.png][imgsmall=items/elixir-of-brilliance.png][imgsmall=items/elixir-of-fortitude.png] when your build is over for that extra oomph. [.]Olaf is okay at backdooring due to his [imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png] and [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png]. Don't do it when you're going to lose more than you destroy. [.]REMEMBER TO ACTIVATE ACTIVE ITEMS. ([imgsmall=items/randuins-omen.png][imgsmall=items/shurelyas-reverie.png][imgsmall=items/youmuus-ghostblade.png]). IT WILL SAVE YOU. If you're going to fight him, do quick skirmishes with him around your minions so [highlight]he passively pushes[/highlight] and back away, and [highlight]call for a gank from your jungler[/highlight]. Due to his immense MS boost on his [imgsmall=skills/hecarim/e.png] [highlight]you probably won't outrun him[/highlight] but you are immune to his knockback when you pop [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png]. Slowing him with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] will actually [highlight]lower his damage[/highlight] due to his passive, whether he's moving or not, so always do it before fighting him. He has burst damage with [imgsmall=skills/hecarim/r.png] so make sure you've seen him use it before going [imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] on his ass. [imgsmall=summoners/exhaust.png] also [highlight]slows him which will stunt his damage[/highlight] even more than [imgsmall=summoners/exhaust.png] does already. Do not fear though! as your sustain is higher than his, so with careful placements of [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] you can either force him to go back or kill him repeatably. His [imgsmall=skills/leesin/e.png] is quite a nasty punt to your auto attacks and makes it hard to commit to fighting lee before level 6, since he can simply [imgsmall=skills/leesin/w.png] away from you if you are winning and you have no way of closing the gap (even if you have [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png]) do not let him bait out your [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] with his [imgsmall=skills/leesin/w.png] and you should be a dandy fella. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/lulu.png] [highlight]8[/highlight] Support denial syndrome. You may come across Lulu in the top lane if you're lucky. First thing: [highlight]Don't underestimate her damage![/highlight] I watched a Renekton get shat on by a Lulu because he thought she was gonna be passive. She aint. [highlight]Similar to Teemo[/highlight] except she actually has some form of sustain with the shield and heal bait. [highlight]Don't [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] her shield.[/highlight] May give you some trouble due to being ranged and her Hex is ridiculous even if you can close the gap. [highlight]DON'T DIVE HER IF SHE'S 6 AND YOU HAVEN'T SEEN HER USE ULT[/highlight] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/malphite.png] [highlight]4[/highlight] You can potentially turn this into a passive farming lane since Malphite doesnt necessarily have the damage to kill you off and you don't want to [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] through his [imgsmall=skills/malphite/p.png] every 5 seconds. A good idea is to push the lane, as Malphite's [imgsmall=skills/malphite/w.png] will put the minions on health that are impossible to last hit from his turret. If you want to kill him you will waste time and potential last hits as you will have to chip his shield off and then [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] and this method is so slow he will recall instead. Giving you an advantage but making you lose potential money from the minions you could have gotten. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/mordekaiser.png] [highlight]5[/highlight] Mordekaiser sacrifices health to damage you and so therefore you can really shut him down early before he can build his spellvamp items (the silly green gun). If you can [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] inbetween when he can get his shield up, his retaliation will most likely be [imgsmall=skills/mordekaiser/e.png] or [imgsmall=skills/mordekaiser/q.png], meaning he will lose more health trying to hurt you. Movement speed quints are awesome for this match up, he will most likely always have [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] so don't try anything on low health unless you like being a ghost. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/nasus.png] [highlight]2[/highlight] The girliest top laner in the game [highlight](Susan)[/highlight], he relies solely on hitting things smaller than him, he is easily zoned early game but as his [imgsmall=skills/nasus/p.png] gets higher the more confident he will get. [highlight]You need to shut this guy down as early as possible[/highlight], call for a gank, go all out. As long as you ruin his early game his midgame will be spent mostly on top trying desperately to catch up with you. if you are being hit by [imgsmall=skills/nasus/q.png] then good job, thats a minion he's lost for his [imgsmall=skills/nasus/q.png]. Don't fight him in his [imgsmall=skills/nasus/e.png], and [imgsmall=skills/nasus/w.png] makes it hard to commit unless you have [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png]. [highlight]His [imgsmall=skills/nasus/r.png] is a lot like a heal bait so never dive him after 6 if he is low unless you know he does not have it[/highlight] and you can [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] through his [imgsmall=skills/nasus/w.png]. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/nautilus.png] [highlight]4[/highlight] Havent seen this fella in top lane yet, but any jungler can go top technically (except [imgsmall=champ/fiddlesticks.png]). His [imgsmall=skills/nautilus/w.png] needs to be destroyed asap, but don't waste a [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] on it or you'll fall behind. Otherwise his damage output should not be that high, due to his slow attack animation it's recommended you get in there and trade blows. His sustain should not be higher than yours if you simply use [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png] tactfully. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/nidalee.png] [highlight]10[/highlight] A total bitch, [highlight]you should go jungle instead.[/highlight] but if you don't simply staying alive is a good idea since her [imgsmall=skills/nidalee/e.png] and [imgsmall=skills/nidalee/p.png] make it hard to get her low and even then [highlight]her [imgsmall=skills/nidalee/r.png] has an execution ability[/highlight] which can kill you flat out if you try any low health shenanigans. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/olaf.png] [highlight]Depends on how shit you are.[/highlight] Normal game, huh? The enemy Olaf probably doesnt take an HP quint or MS quints, he's probably using AD quints because he thinks he's a badass. You should be able to zip in and out with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] if he's not paying attention, since both of you work off the same mechanics you will need to get more lifesteal than him or take [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] as it will probably end up in a REALLY MANLY [imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png] duel. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/pantheon.png] [highlight]8[/highlight] [imgsmall=skills/pantheon/q.png]s are really annoying, and I mean [highlight]REALLY ANNOYING[/highlight]. early game this will put you down quite a bit, but since Pantheon's scaling isnt particularly awesome you should be able to chop him up by 6 if you're on equal health (run around him when he uses [imgsmall=skills/pantheon/e.png] and [highlight]he WILL crit you when you get low[/highlight], so know when to back off). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/poppy.png] [highlight]4[/highlight] A rarity, Poppy just wants to farm so she can 2 shot your carry lategame, you need to shut her down early without taking constant [imgsmall=skills/poppy/q.png]'s to the face. Her [imgsmall=skills/poppy/p.png] makes her a die hard little monster and her [imgsmall=skills/poppy/r.png] can make her dive you recklessly, if it's an AD Poppy (normally). You should take [imgsmall=summoners/exhaust.png], if it's an AP poppy (rarely). You should harrass her hard early because she's gonna be hitting you real hard with [imgsmall=skills/poppy/q.png] later on. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/renekton.png] [highlight]7[/highlight] LAVISH BRUTALITY. One of the manliest fights you'll have to do, his [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png] will heal him extra if you're in it so try not to be there by sticking out of the range. Renekton wants to: [imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png] into your minions, [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png] you, [imgsmall=skills/renekton/q.png] you, and [imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png] away. This is harrass that you can not afford to take mister. [highlight]Don't stand behind friendly minions[/highlight] or he will take the chance, when you see him running towards you or he's got the golden outline, run backwards a little so that his [imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png] doesnt get him the full way. This way if he's hit your minion with [imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png] he has to either: use the second [imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png] to get to you (and have no way to get away from you). Or if he hasnt hit a minion he will probably give up and go away. His [imgsmall=skills/renekton/r.png] is a heal bait so don't dive him unless you know it's down or you have [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png]. [highlight]WHEN HE HAS 50 RAGE HE WILL PROBABLY USE THE [imgsmall=skills/renekton/w.png].[/highlight] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/rengar.png] [highlight]6[/highlight] I've been playing my fair share of Rengar and I've come to the realisation he's a really annoying top laner for melee champions in the same vein as Renekton. As far as I know he's played in 2 styles, AP Rengar and Pussy Ball Rengar. AP Rengar should be a piece of piss since you can just pick up [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png]. Balls Rengar however is the act of waiting for your 4th point and chaining 2 consecutive [imgsmall=skills/rengar/e.png]s at your target, causing them to take large harass from range and stops melee champions from retaliating since you're slowed and binded. [highlight]The trick to overcoming this is to clip him with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] and dig deep from an early stage![/highlight] This will lead to: a) Rengar using more [imgsmall=skills/rengar/w.png] to heal, losing his harass potential and b)[highlight] Rengar is not good at 1 on 1 fights earlygame[/highlight] The trick here is also mana management since Rengar can and probably will out harass you eventually, you have to hit him hard while he hasn't snowballed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/riven.png] [highlight]7[/highlight] Riven wants to snowball, and you are her prey. She has no sustain before she gets [imgsmall=items/wriggles-lantern.png] so then is the best time to shut her down or force her back, nowadays most Rivens use [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] in conjunction with her [imgsmall=skills/riven/r.png] for a guaranteed kill. You will not be able to [imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png] her out unless you can [highlight]predict her ultimate and dodge it[/highlight] by running through her thus being on the opposite side of the cone. That's a pretty risky thing to do though and you need to make sure you can actually kill her after doing that or it will just be for naught. Don't let her bait out your [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] with her [imgsmall=skills/riven/e.png], try bait her [imgsmall=skills/riven/e.png] out with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] before using [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png]. When she [imgsmall=skills/riven/q.png]'s in to you activate [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png] and go to town on her, the damage she will take versus the damage you will have done plus the lifesteal will probably mean you have come out on top. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/rumble.png] [highlight]7[/highlight] Rumble wants to zone you, you want to zone Rumble. This creates the interesting struggle between Viking and machine. Rumble has a shield so try baiting it out before [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png]ing him.[highlight] You will benefit aplenty from an early [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png][/highlight] since Rumble has got no sustain 'til his spellvamp items are in. Rumble has no costs for abilities so he can afford to keep spamming spells on your ass and you'll eventually run out, shut him down early or that spellvamp may be the end of you. Has no burst, possible to [imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] but I think most Rumbles use [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png]. [highlight]DON'T STAND ON HIS ULTIMATE...[/highlight] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/shen.png] [highlight]3-8 Depending on how shit they are.[/highlight] Shen's [imgsmall=skills/shen/w.png] is roughly the same cooldown as your [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] so he is a considerably big pain in the ass, he also has a larger sustain than you with [imgsmall=skills/shen/q.png] and so you will not be killing him unless he is an idiot or maxed [imgsmall=skills/shen/q.png]. His [imgsmall=skills/shen/p.png] is also unexpectantly high in damage so you should keep an eye on the animation that comes up on his hands; alone you are really fighting an uphill battle. [highlight]You also have no way of interrupting his [imgsmall=skills/shen/r.png][/highlight],[highlight] I would personally go jungle or pick something else against an experienced Shen[/highlight]. If you're getting pummeled in lane try leveling more into [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png]. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/shyvana.png] [highlight]8[/highlight] Shyvana is stronger than you early game, due to her [imgsmall=skills/shyvana/w.png] and [imgsmall=skills/shyvana/q.png] spiking out a lot of damage and her ability to outrun you if you try to get out of the fight. Later on (level 9) you should be able to deal with her more effectively if she's not fed and you are on equal farm/items. You have more sustain than her as a character and she has no CC to slow you down before 6 with, so fight her when you want to fight her. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/singed.png] [highlight]4[/highlight] Singed is crazy, his whole character design is based around not dying (you could say that about any champ). It's hardly AP Sion since going top with AP Sion is a waste of ganking potential. AD sion has no way of holding you down besides [imgsmall=skills/sion/q.png] which allows for 2 hits. His AD will be massively above yours due to repeat levelling of [imgsmall=skills/sion/e.png] and he will most likely be buying some form of lifesteal as a form of sustain. He is easily zoned out and AD Sion is easy to disengage from if you're losing the fight. At 6 his [imgsmall=skills/sion/r.png] is a major pain in the anus for you. He can 1v1 you if you try to duel him. Take [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] and bait him into it on low health for pleasurable results (+300g). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/swain.png] [highlight]9[/highlight] Sometimes you will see Swain top, he is a [highlight]high sustain[/highlight] dot damage champion and he is also [highlight]ranged[/highlight], [highlight]I'd recommend going to jungle instead[/highlight]. If you want to top against him anyways his mana pool is replenished fast by his [imgsmall=skills/swain/p.png]. [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] is very very useful. Swain's [imgsmall=skills/swain/e.png] amplifies his own [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png]'s damage so take that into account before engaging him with <50% hp. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/talon.png] [highlight]6[/highlight] Talon is supposed to be an AP counter, he silences and does extra damage to people who are CC'd. Good for you that YOU CANNOT BE DISABLED. As a cheeky stealth champ it's hard to pin him down after 6 unless you think like him. Most times he will run to his turret after ulting. If you reckon you can dive him [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] up and [imgsmall=summoners/ghost.png] in. The silence may put you off at times as it can be instant, like shunpo. [highlight]You want to get very twitchy about when you activate [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png][/highlight] so that you can just auto attack him with lifesteal, he will try to run if you've done this right. Try clip him with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] and really maximize the punishment. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/teemo.png] [highlight]8[/highlight] Teemo is a really hard time for Olaf but the feeling of crushing him to death with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] can make it tempting to go top against him anyways. His [imgsmall=skills/teemo/q.png] does not work on [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] or [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] so these will be your main tools. If you can hit him with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png], close the gap and [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] him until he runs. if [highlight]YOU[/highlight] run back he'll shoot your back and [imgsmall=skills/teemo/w.png] away if you retaliate. his [imgsmall=skills/teemo/r.png] can be a nuisance but they also run his mana dry. he will probably zone you if you can't hit those [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] but since he has no sustain it's really rewarding if you do land them. [highlight]If you're not confident with Olaf go jungle instead[/highlight] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/tryndamere.png] [highlight]2[/highlight] Tryndamere relies on farm early and his [imgsmall=skills/tryndamere/q.png]. You have to force him to heal it so he can't poke you with crits. As always [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] will help immensly. Build armor against this guy as he has virtually no magical damage. His attack damage gets higher the lower his health much like your passive. [highlight]At 6 do not dive him unless he's already used his [imgsmall=skills/tryndamere/r.png].[/highlight] His [imgsmall=skills/tryndamere/w.png] will make your basic attacks do pitiful damage. Use your [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] and [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] to damage him instead. if you run out of mana you will not have fun. Be conservative. [highlight][imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png]ing An ulting Tryndamere just before it ends can kill him at level 6 as his level 3 heal will heal 95 when ignited, and a level 6 ignite is 170 damage.[/highlight] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/udyr.png] [highlight]7[/highlight] Udyr is a truck. Keep these things in mind: [highlight]HIS [imgsmall=skills/udyr/r.png] DOES MAGIC DAMAGE[/highlight], [highlight]HIS [imgsmall=skills/udyr/q.png] IS MAGIC DAMAGE[/highlight]. A lot of people fall into the trap of stacking armor when [highlight]his abilities are mostly magical damage[/highlight]. his sustain is higher than yours and he can bait your [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] with [imgsmall=skills/udyr/w.png] and chase you with [imgsmall=skills/udyr/e.png] down the lane if you make a mistake. Interestingly [highlight]starting with [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] and having 2 MS quints is just enough to outrun a [imgsmall=skills/udyr/e.png]'d Udyr.[/highlight] I do not think you will be able to kill him without him making a mistake. Call for ganks or simply equal his farm and you will outscale him into lategame. Taking [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] might be a good idea. If he has [imgsmall=items/wriggles-lantern.png] his lifesteal will be high. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/vladimir.png] [highlight]8[/highlight] [highlight]Consider jungling instead.[/highlight] Vlad has [imgsmall=skills/vladimir/w.png] that costs [highlight]20% OF HIS HEALTH[/highlight]. before his spellvamp he will probably be passive and try lasthitting with [imgsmall=skills/vladimir/q.png]. You want to make his life difficult from the get-go and force as many [imgsmall=skills/vladimir/w.png] as you can. At level 9 his [imgsmall=skills/vladimir/q.png]'s cooldown will be very low and he will poke you hard with it. [highlight]If you have not shut him down he will become a problem from here.[/highlight] Taking [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] could make your life easier, as it does damage through the pool. Don't try squaring up to him past level 9 with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png] as his damage plus sustain with spellvamp will put you down quite a lot (if you're fed go for it though) any magic resistance you can get your hands on helps. [highlight]Early [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png] helps a lot.[/highlight] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/volibear.png] [highlight]6[/highlight] Volibear is a mixture of champions, to be exact, [imgsmall=champ/singed.png][imgsmall=champ/jax.png][imgsmall=champ/drmundo.png][imgsmall=champ/garen.png]. His [imgsmall=skills/volibear/q.png] is not particularly harmful, his increasing AS on consecutive hits can be annoying as it opens up the [imgsmall=skills/volibear/w.png][highlight](It has a massive paw on his head when it's ready)[/highlight] that will tear you a new hole if you try [imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png] shenanigans, AND STILL his [imgsmall=skills/volibear/p.png] makes it hard for you to kill him the first time. He's definitely a hard match up but apart from the [imgsmall=skills/volibear/p.png] he has no inbuilt sustain like you do. Fight him but know when to back off. Even then we have [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] to deal with the [imgsmall=skills/volibear/p.png]! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/warwick.png] [highlight]8[/highlight] What an ass. Warwicks sustain and dueling prowess is completely off the charts. [highlight]you have to make his mana go poof[/highlight] by poking him down with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] before fighting him to the death (don't let him [imgsmall=skills/warwick/q.png] you or you're gonna be in for bad-times, MS quints help) when he's on no mana he has no burst, then is the time to pull off some [imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png] badassery (his [imgsmall=skills/warwick/r.png] can be told to fuck off with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png]) Call for a gank if you're taking too much damage. [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] can stump his [imgsmall=skills/warwick/q.png]'s healing more than they realise. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/wukong.png] [highlight]7[/highlight] Wukong is a nasty guy due to his [imgsmall=skills/wukong/w.png] shenanigans and shredding of armor from [imgsmall=skills/wukong/q.png]. [highlight]He is not that strong at around level 2-5[/highlight], so then is the best time to trade some hits off with TRUE DAMAGE and an [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] to the face. If he [imgsmall=skills/wukong/w.png] he will run to the turret or brushes depending on where he [imgsmall=skills/wukong/w.png], if he stops it's a [imgsmall=skills/wukong/w.png]. Run straight past it. If he's ran forward instead than you are inbetween him and his turret and he will be forced to run the long way round if he's low giving you some free farm while he loses xp/gold. His [imgsmall=skills/wukong/r.png] is null and void with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png]. Call for ganks if he's pulling off the [imgsmall=skills/wukong/e.png]->[imgsmall=skills/wukong/q.png]->[imgsmall=skills/wukong/w.png] too severely for you. For some reason his lvl 1 rank of [imgsmall=skills/wukong/r.png] is [highlight]20 damage per second[/highlight], then his 2nd rank is [highlight]110 damage per second[/highlight], keep that in mind. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/xinzhao.png] [highlight]6[/highlight] Xin Zhao's scaling is negative meaning the longer the game goes on the worse he gets. Early he might be able to damage you considerably but as the game goes on he will fall behind you if you can equal his farm. If you can kill him ([imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] works on Xin after his initial combo). You will dominate him unless you get ganked by the enemy jungler because you were too cocky and didn't ward. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [img=champ/yorick.png] [highlight]8[/highlight] Whenever I play Yorick and see the enemy top go cloth and pots I smile a little. [highlight]Yorick's main source of harrass is his E which is MAGIC DAMAGE[/highlight]. Stick close to the brush, when he pops a [imgsmall=skills/yorick/e.png] immediatly[highlight] run into the brush to lose vision and stop the ghost from attacking you.[/highlight] Yorick's problem is that he can't finish off champions due to his lack of burst damage but at the same time his sustain is so godly that you won't make a considerable dent in him. Equalling his farm is good but from my experiences Yorick tends to passively push lanes with his ghosts if they lose aggro to champions meaning he is easy ganks for your jungler due to his [highlight]lack of escape abilities.[/highlight] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Team fights? [highlight]TEAM FIGHTS![/highlight] Olaf is pretty perfect for [highlight]rushing down the enemy carry/AP[/highlight] due to his [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] [highlight]ignoring anything[/highlight] and [highlight]reducing all damage[/highlight], this is why we also take [imgsmall=summoners/ghost.png] to reach the squishies at the back of the fight [highlight]ASAP[/highlight]. Other top laners such as [imgsmall=champ/shen.png] or [imgsmall=champ/udyr.png] might be better off protecting their own AD carry to ensure a larger damage output, but Olaf works in the opposite way: [highlight]If the enemy AD Carry is dead[/highlight] as soon as possible, [highlight]less overall damage will be done[/highlight] by their team. It can be common for Olaf to tunnelvision and entirely focus on one person, it could even be said from this Olaf in teamfights acts as a [highlight]half assassin half tank[/highlight]. By that I mean, [highlight]you should be focusing on one person[/highlight] and keeping the true damage on them until they die, and this is also another reason why [imgsmall=items/frozen-mallet.png] is a lovely item for Olaf, an un CC-able monster with an autoattack which slows is never a good sign for squishier champions. Take into consideration the champion you want to rampage at after based on the current situation of the game. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. [highlight]AP Carry[/highlight] - The AP Carry is fed; He is a mean machine and has a large amount of AOE/CC spells with large damage to destroy any champion that gets close. Your [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] is the only thing that can stop you getting stunned and thrown around like ragdolls on G-mod. So it is natural (with hopefully the [imgsmall=items/hexdrinker.png] you bought earlier, (Since you saw them getting fed) to subdue them and with the true damage and axe throws, getting a [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] off of them over a cliff or something [highlight]kicks them out of the teamfight[/highlight], and you can focus on cleaning up. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. [highlight]AD Carry [/highlight]- The AD Carry is outfarming yours by a massive amount and is ahead by a major item. His support is a heavy CC Support and thus pushes/stuns/slows the people that are trying to hurt him. ([imgsmall=champ/alistar.png][imgsmall=champ/janna.png][imgsmall=champ/lulu.png][imgsmall=champ/taric.png]) This means you are one of his most deadly predators, since you shrug off the spells like politicians shrug off morals. Go in deep and push the AD Carry away from the fight or even kill him. [highlight]Without his high damage output your team will most likely succeed.[/highlight] (Though if you've pushed him away it is more likely you will die but [highlight]BE A MAN[/highlight]. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. [highlight]Top Laner[/highlight] - Consider first the type of toplaner. You don't want to be wasting your time with champions designed to waste your damage ([imgsmall=champ/nasus.png][imgsmall=champ/malphite.png][imgsmall=champ/singed.png]) but if it's a snowballing champion that HAS snowballed, you may need to kill them just to stop them from destroying everything you love. ([imgsmall=champ/riven.png][imgsmall=champ/pantheon.png][imgsmall=champ/irelia.png]) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. [highlight]Jungler[/highlight] - Well certainly there is the slight reward to killing the enemy jungler - [highlight]Higher chance of taking Baron[/highlight] - but this does not mean you can focus them down first. Due to their lack of gold income compared to other lanes, junglers should not be necessarily a large bother to you or your team unless they have ganked sucessfully constantly and they are the type of jungler that will become a major problem to your AD Carry. ([imgsmall=champ/khazix.png][imgsmall=champ/rengar.png][imgsmall=champ/nocturne.png][imgsmall=champ/pantheon.png]) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. [highlight]Support[/highlight] - Shut up, never focus and rush down a support since they contribute little damage to the teamfights, they contribute utility such as buffs and CC, and you ignore both of those with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] and [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png]. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [highlight]Remember that Olaf's job is not to survive[/highlight] in a teamfight, his job is to [highlight]take down the squishy/fed champion[/highlight]. As long as you have done that you are successful. Your team will benefit more if you have died and they ace the enemy as apposed to you running away and 4 of your team gets killed by a rampaging [imgsmall=champ/ezreal.png].

[title]ROUTE AND STARTING ITEM.[/title] Olaf's a strong jungler. Due to his [imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png] and [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png], but also the lower your health is the more likely that if you get [imgsmall=summoners/clairvoyance.png]'d you will get invaded. Therefore you need a mixture of [highlight]lifesteal[/highlight] and [highlight]damage[/highlight] and [highlight]armour/HP[/highlight]. For this reason [highlight]I take[/highlight] [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png][highlight] as my starting item[/highlight] in the jungle. You will never dip below 20% hp and you will jungle at a moderately high speed, somewhere inbetween [imgsmall=champ/nocturne.png] and [imgsmall=champ/skarner.png] in terms of comparison. This means you can also stack [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] even while in the jungle, giving you the necessary stats. on the down side [highlight]if you do not go [imgsmall=items/wriggles-lantern.png] your dragons will be slower[/highlight] (sometimes the AD carry will get [imgsmall=items/wriggles-lantern.png], [highlight]ask them beforehand NICELY[/highlight]). The route I generally use is: [highlight]WOLVES -> BLUE -> WRAITHS -> GOLEMS -> RED -> WRAITHS -> GANK/WOLVES -> GO BACK[/highlight] This is the basic route that almost every jungler uses. Junglers like [imgsmall=champ/shyvana.png] or [imgsmall=champ/leesin.png] [highlight]will try to steal your red[/highlight]. They will be around half way into your red when you get to wraiths, if you feel they may take them, run to your red to check before taking wraiths, if you catch them [highlight]it's a potential kill if your top laner is not a lazy sack of uselessness.[/highlight] Or even then a burnt [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png]. [highlight]Skill order:[/highlight] [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png]. [title]SMITES AND DRAGONS.[/title] Using your Smite to its utmost effectiveness is very important. always make sure you use it to last hit [highlight]dragon[/highlight], [highlight]blue[/highlight], [highlight]red[/highlight] and [highlight]Baron[/highlight]. your role as the jungler is very important lategame as [highlight]getting the baron is in some cases the difference between a win and a loss.[/highlight] [highlight]1st[/highlight] [imgsmall=summoners/smite.png]: [highlight]Blue[/highlight] (2:15) [highlight]2nd[/highlight][imgsmall=summoners/smite.png]: [highlight]Red[/highlight](3:20) [highlight]3rd[/highlight][imgsmall=summoners/smite.png]: Anywhere (4:30) [highlight]4th[/highlight] [imgsmall=summoners/smite.png]: [highlight]Dragon[/highlight] if you can OR Anywhere (5:40) [highlight]5th[/highlight] [imgsmall=summoners/smite.png]: [highlight]Dragon[/highlight] if you can OR Blue buff for mid (6:50) Dragon is a very important creep that [highlight]gives your team 950 gold overall[/highlight], giving a clear advantage as it is on a [highlight]6 minute respawn[/highlight]. Dragon is where the first teamfight is often held. You can safely take dragon if: [number]1[/number] The enemy jungler is/has just ganked top. [number]2[/number] You just ganked and killed/made them blue pill bot lane [number]3[/number] Enemy mid died. [number]4[/number] Your Top has [imgsmall=summoners/teleport.png] but the enemy's top does not. [number]5[/number] The dragon has not been warded by the enemy support. Olaf does not take Dragons as fast as other junglers by himself, [highlight]ping bot to come help you[/highlight] or mid if he's not busy being dead or pushed. [imgext=http://jaimebulmer.com/images/Smite.jpg] [title]GANKING[/title] is not Olaf's forté. He needs to clip them with [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] or you just look silly. It helps if your mid/top/bot have some hard CC and it's advised you [highlight]gank when you have red[/highlight] unless you can dive that poor Ashe on half a bar. Ganking routes vary, but [highlight]always ask the laner if the enemy lane has warded[/highlight], it's a waste of your time if you don't pull off the gank or burn a [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png]. You want to get inbetween the turret and sandwich the gankee in between you and the laner. [highlight]If the AD carry has an escape mechanism, go for the support.[/highlight] Some supports don't take [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] and opt for [imgsmall=summoners/exhaust.png] instead but Olaf's [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] goes through [imgsmall=summoners/exhaust.png]! So it's completely fine and in most cases a guaranteed kill. If your support is a lazy prick go get [imgsmall=items/oracles-elixir.png] and de-ward lanes and gank them later, [highlight]it is worth spending 400g to get rid of vision of dragon, ganking routes etc.[/highlight] Try not to throw your [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] too far in the wrong direction when ganking, even if it hits them, you want to [highlight]throw short axes in the direction they are running so you can pick them up and throw them again[/highlight], creating a mundo cleaver slow chain. In most cases [highlight]back off immediatly after they've used[/highlight] [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] [highlight]unless you can catch them with an[/highlight] [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] [highlight]or have[/highlight] [imgsmall=summoners/ghost.png] popped. It's useless chasing someone to their turret and giving them a stare when you can be off farming the jungle again that little bit faster. [.]Turn smart casting on, it makes throwing repeatable [imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] easier. [.]Always expect to be ganked if you're pushing. [.]If you can see the enemy jungler waiting behind the dragon wall, pull the dragon out. [.]Pick up an [imgsmall=items/elixir-of-fortitude.png] when you have spare money, drinking it gives you instant health which could save your life in [imgsmall=skills/olaf/p.png] fights and against certain champs [imgsmall=champ/kogmaw.png][imgsmall=champ/karthus.png] [.]sometimes staying to fight is better than running and dying. You could weaken them enough for one of your other teammates to finish them off. [.]Don't use [imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] to steal kills. [.][imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] goes through exhaust. [.][imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png] briefly gives vision inside bushes when thrown. [.]the combo [imgsmall=skills/olaf/w.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/q.png][imgsmall=skills/olaf/e.png] is considerably high burst damage mid-game. [.]Use [imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] in 1v1's before the enemy casts their abilities, the Armor/MR will soak it up. [.][imgsmall=skills/olaf/r.png] just before [imgsmall=summoners/teleport.png] gives the enemy no way to CC you before you port back to base. [.]Call MIA/ss for lanes if the laner has not. [.]You can tell if an [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] is up or not if they have +5 AP and +5 AD.

Olaf will always be a good addition to your team. Olaf has the potential to beat almost every melee top laner as he is a very potent laner, the only reason you die in top lane as Olaf is because you have not warded (EVERY TIME YOU GO BACK BUY 1-2 WARDS)and got ganked or because you were a greedy idiot who thought you could take them on with your low health shenanigans. [highlight]Always expect the worst and you'll come out on top. But never let your opponent have an easy lane.
