Kog'Maw it's one of the best AD Carry. On early-game he is pretty weak because he can't escape with he's spells like corki, ezreal or like the most AD Carry. But in late-game Kog dominate definitely with a strong tank in team. But he have some advantages and disadvantages like: [title]Advantages:[/title] [.] Can use a maximum range of 710. [.] Very good on mid-late game. [.] [imgsmall=skills/kogmaw/q.png] Caustic spittle can help you so much to reduce the enemy armor and magic resist and kill him easy. Don't forget the passive who deal you a substantial bonus attack speed. [.] [imgsmall=skills/kogmaw/w.png] Bonus damage of heal-percentage at Bio-Arcane Barrage who increases with skill. [.] He can stay safe in team fight and make the difference with high range. [.] [imgsmall=skills/kogmaw/e.png] U can use Void Ooze to slow your enemy reach you, and you can kill him or run. [.] [imgsmall=skills/kogmaw/r.png] Living Artillery is another spell who you can deal damage in a safe position. [.] All spells combined result one of the best AD Carry. You can build to be a tank demolition with [imgsmall=items/last-whisper.png](armor penetration)[imgsmall=items/blade-of-the-ruined-king.png](bonus damage of health percent)[imgsmall=items/infinity-edge.png](250% bonus critical damage)[imgsmall=items/phantom-dancer.png](and some attack speed) and in combination with you spells Q and W you have a great potential to kill so easy the enemy tank, and the others members ofc. [.] Without Bio-Arcane Barrage (W) Kog'Maw is useless, than he have a normal range of 500. [.] Weak on early game. [.] Very fragile compared to other AD Carries. [.] Very fragile in team fight if he is not protected. U can pick Kog'Maw when your team is formed of strong champions and the enemy team doesn't have hard CC. [.] Sit in the back of the team fights. [.] Don't Spam your ult because it will eat up all your mana. [.] Kog is a very squishy champ so never be in the front. [title]Runes[/title] These are standard AD Carry runes, with Attack damage, armor and magic resist. [imgext=http://s18.postimage.org/bwdmbmttl/adr.png] You can replace the AD with armor penetration, and magic resist with magic resist/level, but I prefer first option. +Attack damage, because you don't deal only attack damage, you are little hybrid. +Magic resist, Because you are on the bottom lane versus a another AD Carry, and with a support who don't deal so much magic damage later.

[title]Tips:[/title] You will want to max your W first because of the more range it gives you everytime you lvl it up. Then max your Q for that extra attack speed to kill your enemies faster. R>W>Q>E W first for incrased duration and Huge dmg output, use it to poke at all levels its really important or you will get destroyed. E lvl 2 is a MUST you dont have escapes and this is your only "cc" land it if you are going for a kill or you see the enemy jungler coming this will save your life. Q maxed second for incrased atkspeed, dont get close to the enemy just to use this skill, it wont worth and will place you in a bad position, use it just if the enemy is already in range of your Q if not keep AA with W active. R is what makes difference between a good and a bad kog, land it only when you are sure to land it, dont waste your mana, in dueling this skill can make the difference use it wise! Each subsequent Living Artillery in the next 6 seconds costs 40 additional mana (Max 250). I prefer to use Q to reduce the armor and on long range use R if he want to escape. Advantage if you max your skills like this: R>Q>W>E Max Q first because the attack speed steroid it gives you, nuke, and armour/mr shred is HUGE for early game exchanges, you won't be in huge team fights, so early game it is much easier for you to land the short range Q to debuff the enemies, if they try going all in on you, then slowing them, backing up, and barraging down with your W. Max W second because one point in it is usually enough to out range every other AD carry early game, only situation I would EVER max this ability first, is if you're laning against a Cait, incapable of hitting your q due to her range, and your slow not really effecting her ability to exchange damage with you, against other AD carries it doesn't matter to max it second because you won't need the extra range till the mid-late game team fights, and by then you will be a high enough level to have it fully-near maxed, to keep yourself much safer. Max E last because the scaling slow isn't too important, the peel it provides is pretty minimal, and isn't really a high damage ability, really a mana burner. It is just really nice for escaping the rare gank, or winning exchanges if the enemy is dumb, and tries all inning you at your minion line. Maxing R is pretty obvious, but a good thing to remember, is never constantly harass with it, the mana cost is so little without accumulating stacks, so it can be very strong harass if you wait for your stack to come off, then using it again as soon as possible, a nice little advantage it also provides is the ability to check if enemies are camping a brush, without risking walking up to it, then warding without knowing what is in there. With enough of these hit for free, and you can actually bully the enemy out of lane, and win early game, which takes a lot of effort with Kog.

Use Bio-Arcane Barrage [img=skills/kogmaw/w.png] to farm and deal little damage on enemy. LvL 6+: Now I prefer to play more aggressive, deal to opponent some dmg with [img=skills/kogmaw/w.png]-[img=skills/kogmaw/r.png](don't use R 2 time in a row or more) When you want to finish, and kill someone use: [img=skills/kogmaw/e.png]-[img=skills/kogmaw/r.png]-[img=skills/kogmaw/q.png]-[img=skills/kogmaw/w.png]-[img=skills/kogmaw/r.png]-[img=skills/kogmaw/q.png]. I prefer to don't finish Blade of the ruined king early because they haven't so much health and go for IE. With Nunu you can play very aggressive, with Soraka you can play very defensive, and Lulu is a combination with aggressive and defensive. The weakest support for Kog is Blitzcrank, he drag the enemy on you, and you must to keep safe and play with the long range. Alistar it's weak too for Kog, but sometimes can be decently. Blitzcrank counter Kog'Maw perfect. Never pick Kog if in the enemy team are this fu**ing champion. If you are destined to play vs he, pick a strong support little more tank, like Taric, and watch the robot hand.

Soraka has a free silence. Since there is a lack of sustain in the enemy lane, a consistent silence can protect your ad carry from a pull. You want to stay away from enemies and fight from behind. With Blitzcrank on your lane you are never save from dying..One Grab will normaly mean your death. Force his grab out when you know you can dodge it easy. Provocate him and then harass him to scare him away, so he better thinks about it twice if he wants to grab you. [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] Alistar is an aggressive support. Typically, Alistar will try and net his carries in lane early kills. Kog have a great ability to farm outside of Alistars Headbut+Pulverize range. [imgsmall=champ/leona.png] Leonas brawl abilities and stuns are the perfect counter for you. She is maybe the most dangerous enemy you can face bot. If she is on you use cleanse and get away with flash if needed. Dont think about staying since her combo will disable you long enough for nearly every ADc to kill you. [highlight]AD Carry:[/highlight] [imgsmall=champ/ashe.png] Ashe is really a pick who wants to keep the enemy at a distance and farm, cuz early game her damage is still weak, cuz she has only 1 ability to do damage. so when an ad carry suddenly jumps in and has 3 abilities to do damage it's really annoying. Kog out-ranges her, and therefore, can out-farm her. Her slows can be annoying but Kog should be ideally behind minions and champs so unless you're out of position she can't really be that annoying [imgsmall=champ/caitlyn.png] Caitlyn really excels with her long range, but she has a long casting time on her piltovers, which are easily interrupted by spellshield and also her traps become free mana stations. Sure, Cait may have long natural range but once Kog's W hits lvl 2, its pretty much the same. Cait's strong suit is her range so if she doesn't have that, she doesn't have much to work with. Be sure not to get caught in any traps though because Kog is very squishy and can lose a lot of health from her Q. [imgsmall=champ/corki.png] Outdamages Kog'maw early game. The goal is to try to keep up in farm and avoiding all fights until around lvl 6. Kog'maw is a hypercarry, and can do immense damage late game but he needs to make it through early game first. Play passive against good early game Champs and wait until the mid-late game for the kills. [imgsmall=champ/ezreal.png] Ez is pretty medium ranged (short ranged when compared to kog) and if you can dodge his abilities, basically his only harass, then you should be good [imgsmall=champ/graves.png] Graves is all about doing a lot of damage in a short amount of time, but when he meets a champ with insane range, it's really hard to get close. If you're up against a graves, it's best to just sit back and farm. Ask politely for some ganks. You won't be able to do much in this lane. Try to farm as best as you can, use your W for farming if you have to, just don't get behind. [imgsmall=champ/missfortune.png] Miss fortune has a problem with any carry with a strong early dmg, since she will always lose a straight fight with them early. her force is her harass of both enemy carry and supp with the double bulelt and her escpe/chase with the slow. force her to fight or retreat, or pick someone who can harass her back. a supp with good healing or one who can keep her in place or just do a little dmg to get rid of strut is also a great help. [imgsmall=champ/sivir.png] Sivir is good in farming and harrassing with boomerang, but when she meet a champ with high damage and short casting time like graves, she is doomed. Your R has a decent delay that, if the enemy sivir is smart, will make them activate their shield and absorb some mana, helping them out a lot, therefore, making Kog's R against her almost obsolete. also kog is pretty slow so its a bit harder to dodge her Q than other ADC's. [imgsmall=champ/tristana.png] Tristana is good in farming and harrass with spellcombo. Trist can be difficult to lane against if she knows how to play her. Using your W, you'll be able to out range her, but with her jump and ultimate it'll be difficult for you to get a kill. It's best to just farm up and only harass when she is out of position. [imgsmall=champ/vayne.png] Vayne is weak in lane, low range, low damage, but she is just good at pushing enemies to the wall and then use the stun to finish other ad carry's off. Also you don't ever want a vayne get kills, because when she get feeded the game is over. It's really important to get a champion with highest damage -> graves, so that she doesnt have a chance to survive her lane. A lot of times you see the graves ban and there is the vayne pick. The only easy lane, dominate her with your W, care if she goes all in. In lategame teamfights you have the upperhand, dont go 1v1 vs her in late, unless you can kite her (almost impossible if she actives ultimate so just dont fight her 1v1)

[.][title]Farm![/title] [.][title]Harrass![/title] [.][title]Play Safe![/title] You're weaker untill 5-6 than a lot of carry. Exchange if you have no choice but avoid fight before that. You will dominate your ennemy carry even if you farm less than him. Just don't let him being fed. Talk to your support for a passive/defensive play. Go over aggressive only if you have vision and your jungler is here. Last hit. This is the key. At 6, you'll be able to kill anything out of position with your slow, AA damage + ulti damage. Ult is spammable and does some nice damage at 6. Spam it when you can kill, but don't when you harass.

[.][title]Keep Farming![/title] [.][title]Stay with your team![/title] [.][title]Poke with your enemy once in a while![/title] [title]Mid Game:[/title] During the mid game you should REALLY focus on farming, keeping the basics of the laning phase in mind to keep yourself alive, once you get to around 150-200 CS you will start melting any champion that gets in your path, as long as they are incapable of diving/ccing you down, control the early dragons with your team, and continue playing it passive aggressive. Here are some tips for the dragon fight: - Stay near your support and your bruiser. Never be the initiator. - Turn on your W only once you are sure the team fight has started. - Make sure your team knows how important it is to keep you alive. Tell them to peel for you. - Use orbwalking to kite their bruisers. - Throw your E at the beginning of the fight for maximum effectiveness. - Attacking a tank is not always the worst thing. Let your bruisers deal with their carries while you kill of the tanks. Kog shreds tanks when his W is active (% health). - Do not overuse your Ult to poke before the fight or else you will be low on mana during the fight. - Use your R to pick off stragglers after the fight.

[.][title]Stay with your team![/title] [.][title]Stay behind your team![/title] [.][title]Sit behind your team and use W![/title] [title]Late Game:[/title] During the late game your positioning and build will be VERY crucial to how effective you are, try and stay as far behind your tank line as possible, while still being able to attack your enemies, even if you focus the enemy tanks, your high damage class cannon build, and your w shred based on their % of help will chunk down even the tankiest champions, making them think twice about diving you, or taking down your tanks, only way they will win is if they catch you from behind, or are capable of doing more damage than you to your tanks, than you can do theirs, which should be unlikely if you built right, and are not super far behind. Fighting Late game is much like fighting Mid Game (see Mid Game tips) but with a couple added tips: - Although tanks have become tankier with more items, Kog will still shred them because of his W (%health). This means that focusing a tank, like Darius or Xin is one of the best things you can do since you will be dropping him very quickly. - Late game becomes Protect the Kog'Maw. If your team is able to peel well enough for you, then you should be able to win the team fight. Make sure your team knows this. - Baron is a common fighting location so keep a ward on it always. - During team fights, stand as far back as possible from the front line in order survive. With your W active, you have the largest Auto Attack range in the game.

The big plays start here. In team fighting as an AD Carry you must attack the most important target who the the most damage, if you focus on tank you will die before you kill him. If you are the target of the enemy team, you must stay safe and the other members of your team to protect you. Your range help you very much to be safe, but other AD Carry have better spells who can stay safe easy. It's a good idea to pick Kog if your team are hard CC and the enemy team aren't. What to do with Kog'Maw in team fights: [.]Stay behind your tanks. [.]Focus to the principal target. [.]Don't go far of your team. [.]Use W: [imgsmall=skills/kogmaw/w.png] Bio-Arcane Barrage to stay behind. [.]Use R: [imgsmall=skills/kogmaw/r.png] Living Artillery to deal damage on the principal target if he stay behind of his team. [.]Use E: [imgsmall=skills/kogmaw/e.png] Void Ooze to slow the enemy. [.]Build one or more defensive items ( I prefer guardian angel [imgsmall=items/guardian-angel.png] or [imgsmall=items/mercurial-scimitar.png] if they have hard CC ) to more survivability. You'll need to be aggressisve while being in a defensive place. Kog'Maw as the range to do that. Just stay out of initiator range, and harass anyone in range of your AA. Don't use your E to harass, you'll need it when fight starts to disengage an opponent rushing you. When fight starts, always stay max range. Damage what is at your range, and don't go for a target behind the fights. You can easily kill any bruiser staying too much time in your range. DO IT. When the fronts are dead, you win the fight. You need the support to protect you, and your bruisers to realize that they have to survive more than the ennemy bruisers. Talk to them. Explain that you have to survive, but that they have to survive too. No team can manage the Kog'Maw's damage, even a fed one. That's scary.
