This guide is intended for players already familiar with playing Anivia, that also have experience playing the support role. I will not be covering the basics or supporting here, nor will I be going into the detail of Anivia's abilities. Anivia is a situational pick for a Kill lane support. Ideally you would take her if you are Purple team with a Mid and Jungle who do not use mana. She falls into the category of supports without a heal or shield, such as Nunu, Leona, Yorick, Fiddlesticks, etc.

MPen Marks, G/10 Seals & Quints are a must. Glyphs are less important. You could go with Mana/5, CDR, AP, or MR/lvl. It's your preference.

[img=skills/anivia/q.png][img=skills/anivia/e.png][img=skills/anivia/e.png][img=skills/anivia/w.png] I typically start Q-E-E-W so I can start harassing level 2 or 3. If I feel I need to be more defensive, I may take W sooner. I usually max [img=skills/anivia/e.png] first to harass better. If I can't trade effectively, or am being zoned by a poke team and can't harass, I will max [img=skills/anivia/w.png], otherwise I max this second. If I feel I want more damage, I will max [img=skills/anivia/q.png] after I have at least 3 levels in [img=skills/anivia/w.png] but only after [img=skills/anivia/e.png] is maxed.

Starting items. I like to start off with a [img=items/vision-ward.png] if they have good support who will be getting wards or any kind of stealth. If I think no one will be warding on their team, I skip it and get a [img=items/mana-potion.png]. Some people may think that my build does not give enough mana. Even if you are not getting blue buff, between [img=items/philosophers-stone.png]/[img=items/shurelyas-reverie.png]&[img=items/chalice-of-harmony.png] you should be fine. The most important thing is that if you are playing support properly you should be lighting up the map like a Christmas tree with wards. Going back to buy more wards should refill your mana pool often enough for these items to be enough. You must remember to play this Anivia like she's a support prioritizing warding and providing utility in skirmishes and team fights. Hence why I build [img=items/will-of-the-ancients.png] after Chalice. If no one else is building one, you could also build an [img=items/aegis-of-the-legion.png], [img=items/abyssal-scepter.png] or [img=items/frozen-heart.png] here instead if needed. After the Varus patch, being able to upgrade Chalice into Athene's Unholy Grail will make the late game of this build a lot stronger. Always make sure to leave a slot open for wards though. I can not stress this enough, this is your primary responsibility.

Please do not vote (Like or Dislike) unless you have tried this build out. Remember to use it in the appropriate situation, in many games this will not be the right support to take. And I cannot stress enough, you are a support, you are not here to do TONS OF DAMAGE, you want to be providing your team utility with AoE Stuns, Walls, Slows, Wards, & Auras.
