Attack Damage(AD) is a very strong way to build Nidalee, and some people don't know it. Nidalee's burst potential throughout the game with attack damage is huge. When you build Nidalee for physical damage you are basically building a tanky dps champion, which is able to soak up loads of damage and still live. Not only does AD Nidalee do that, but she still provides some good support for her team by still using her Primal Surge steroid, and constantly warding the map with her traps, along with just being a very annoying champion for the enemy team to deal with. In this Guide I will talk about how I play AD Nidalee, I hope you enjoy! [title]Pros:[/title] [.]Very Durable [.]Good Survivability [.]Good Harassment [.]Amazing Burst Potential [.]Very Versatile [.]Strong Pusher [.]Can offer a lot to a team [title]Cons:[/title] [.]Pre-Level 6 Push-Over [.]Somewhat Falls Off [.]Need to be in Melee Range [.]Needs to play smart [center][imgext=][/center] [center][imgext=][/center]

[imgext=] [title][highlight]Details:[/highlight][/title] [.] [title]Quintessence:[/title] 3 - Armor Penetration [.] [title]Marks:[/title] 9 - Armor Penetration [.] [title]Seals:[/title] 9 - Armor [.] [title]Glyphs:[/title] 9 - Scaling Magic Resist [title]Explanation:[/title] I find that these are the strongest runes possible for AD Nidalee. The straight twenty-five armor penetration at the start will be enough so that you really don't have to worry about buying armor penetration at all. Next I get armor seals for the increase in mitigation, and will help me when taking any type of physical damage. I get magic resist per level glyphs because most of the time, the top laner isn't based off of magic damage or doesn't deal enough early burst that will make me go flat magic resist, and these will help you in the long run. [center] [title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [imgext=] [title][highlight]Details:[/highlight][/title] [.] [title]Quintessence:[/title] 3 - Flat Attack Damage [.] [title]Marks:[/title] 9 - Flat Attack Damage [.] [title]Seals:[/title] 9 - Flat Armor [.] [title]Glyphs:[/title] 9 - Scaling Magic Resist [title]Explanation:[/title] These are the second strongest runes that I have tested and found very positive results with AD Nidalee. With the changes to the new offensive mastery tree you will find that there is enough armor penetration already in it, and the extra attack damage in runes will help early and mid game drastically. Having eighteen or even fifteen attack damage at level one is a drastically large amount and you can almost harass anyone out of lane, or trade hits pre-level six with AD Nidalee which was almost impossible to do because of her weak pre-level six. I get armor seals for the increase in mitigation, and will help me when taking any type of physical damage. I get magic resist per level glyphs because most of the time, the top laner isn't based off of magic damage or doesn't deal enough early burst that will make me go flat magic resist, and these will help you in the long run. [center] [title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [imgext=] [title][highlight]Details:[/highlight][/title] [.] [title]Quintessence:[/title] 3 - Flat Health Regeneration [.] [title]Marks:[/title] 9 - Armor Penetration [.] [title]Seals:[/title] 9 - Armor [.] [title]Glyphs:[/title] 9 - Scaling Magic Resist [title]Explanation:[/title] I would only suggest these runes only if you need more sustain in lane, if you going against maybe a Warwick([imgsmall=champ/warwick.png]) or Yorick([imgsmall=champ/yorick.png]). They will give you an amazing amount of sustain with the Health Regeneration Quintessences and much needed armor penetration in case you choose not to go for the armor penetration in the offensive tree. I get magic resist per level glyphs because most of the time, the top laner isn't based off of magic damage or doesn't deal enough early burst that will make me go flat magic resist, and these will help you in the long run.

[title][img=skills/nidalee/p.png] Passive: Prowl[/title] [number]Moving through brush increases Nidalee's movement speed by 15% for 2 seconds.[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This passive is one reason why I think nidalee is one of the best roamers/escape artists. When you need a quick escape from their jungler, you can use the brushes to increase your speed so they cant catch you. Or your just trying to place wards or find out what the enemy is doing. It makes you very fast and the passive is not to be used poorly. [title][img=skills/nidalee/q.png] Q: Javelin Toss / Takedown[/title] [number]Human: Nidalee tosses her javelin, dealing 55 / 95 / 140 / 185 / 230 (+65% of ability power) magic damage on impact (deals up to 250% damage the further away the target is). Cougar: Nidalee's next attack deals additional damage based on how low her opponent's life is. Cooldown 6 seconds Cost 50/60/70/80/90 mana Range 1500[/number] [title]Explanation (Human):[/title] In human form, you probablly wont use this past level 5. This dosnt scale well with AD Nidalee and you will probably be hurting yourself wasting mana by useing this more then helping you try and outlane him. [center][imgext=][/center] [title]Explanation (Cougar):[/title] When in Cougar Form this skill is your bread and butter. The reason that I don't max it first is because while in Cougar Form, leveing this up won't increase your burst potential at all. It has a 1:1 Attack Damage Ratio, but the skill itself, without your base attack damage does nothing. [center][imgext=][/center] [title][img=skills/nidalee/w.png] W: Bushwhack / Pounce[/title] [number]Human: Nidalee lays a trap that deals 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 (+40% of ability power) damage over 2 seconds, reveals the target, and reduces their armor and magic resistance by 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% for 12 seconds. Traps last for 4 minutes. Cougar: Nidalee lunges forward, dealing damage to surrounding enemies. Pounce is not affected by cooldown reduction. Cooldown 18seconds Cost 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120mana Range 900[/number] [title]Explanation (Human):[/title] This is one of the best scouting skills, and makes Nidalee that much harder to catch off guard in a lane. And it is kind of hard to notice if you are not constantly looking at the ground on where you are going. Make sure you properly place these in places you [highlight]THINK[/highlight] the enemy will walk. When placing it, think of it as a ward. [center][imgext=][/center] [title]Explanation (Cougar):[/title] This is Nidalee main escape ability, and makes her impossible to catch in certain circumstances, but also a good tool to catch up to enemies. This ability does not scale with attack damage. This is also a wall hop, but a very short wall hop, it will take practice to master and find out all the walls you can jump over. This is a ability you will need to practice, because practice makes perfect! You should also know that it will jump depending oh which way you are facing and your cursor's location. [center][imgext=][/center] [center]A Visual you can see is a Youtube Wall jumping guide, so you can see first hand how to wall jump.[/center] [youtube][/youtube] [center]([highlight]Credit for the video goes to Suzumiya H![/highlight])[/center] [title][img=skills/nidalee/e.png] E: Primal Surge / Swipe[/title] [number]Human: Nidalee heals an ally champion for 50/85/120/155/190 (+70% of ability power) and grants them a 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60% attack speed for 7 seconds. Cougar: Nidelee claws at enemies in front of her. Cooldown 10 seconds Cost 60/80/100/120/140 mana Range 600[/number] [title]Explanation (Human):[/title] You will probably be using this skill the most while you are in human form. This is your sustain and your attack speed steroid, it compares with Blood Boil([imgsmall=skills/nunu/w.png]). It is also the reason it makes Nidalee a good support in every team composition that has a AD carry. It also helps you tear through towers. [highlight]IF[/highlight] you get blue, just spam this all day! One reason I level this up first is because it gives you the most sustain in lane against a lot of champions that have ridiculous damage at early levels. [center][imgext=][/center] [title]Explanation (Cougar):[/title] This is a pretty good AOE ability, and it has a pretty far hit box when it comes to being a "melee" attack. This ability does not scale with attack damage. You should use this ability right after you use your Takedown to try and get the most burst potential possible. [center][imgext=][/center] [title][img=skills/nidalee/r.png] R: Aspect Of The Cougar[/title] [number]Passive: Each additional rank increases the effectiveness of Nidalee's cougar abilities. Nidalee transforms into a vicious cougar, gaining 20 movement speed, 10/20/30 armor and magic resistance and a new set of abilities. Cooldown 4 seconds[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Once you hit level 6, you will basically own your lane with this. This ability transforms you into a Cougar and gives all your abilities different effects. This is what AD Nidalee is built off of. This also makes you a durable in melee range since you get added armor and magic resist. [center][imgext=][/center]

[center][imgext=][/center] [title][center]What Takes Priority:[/center][/title] [center][img=skills/nidalee/r.png][img=skills/nidalee/e.png][img=skills/nidalee/w.png][img=skills/nidalee/q.png][/center] [title]Explanation:[/title] [.] For obvious reasons you want to be able to level your ultimate at all times because it gives free stats that will let you be a tanky dps. you will be more effective while in cougar form, then out of it in most cases. [.] Next you want to prioritize leveling up your Primal Surge next because it will allow you sustain in lane. This sustain is needed early because Nidalee's early game makes her kind of a pushover. Each rank also gives you more attack speed, which makes it a nice steroid to level up first. [.] I level up Bushwhack second because of the scaling debuff on the magic and armor resist. I also level it up because the damage is nice since you will be placing these everywhere while your not in cougar form. [.] One reason that you will be leveling Nidalee's Javelin Toss last is because it doesn't do that much damage early game, and mid to late game it will do no damage since we do not prioritize on getting ability power. Another reason is because after you get cougar form you shouldn't be trying to get the last hit off with this, you should have enough to follow up with your pounce and another Takedown.

[title]Start:[/title] [item=boots-of-speed][item=health-potion3] OR [item=cloth-armor][item=health-potion5] OR [item=dorans-blade] [title]Analysis: [/title] Boots and three health potions are the way to go when starting our in most situations. You get these when you know your not going to be countered too hard, or you know your not going to completely dominate. The movement speed is nice, and the health potions will give you sustain. Cloth Armor and five health potion start is one of the next strongest starting items. You get these when you know that your lane will be tough. The Cloth Armor gives you the ability to mitigate incoming damage, and the potions give amazing sustain. Take the cloth armor and five health potions in cases where I say a certain champion will be difficult to hand in my "Match-Ups" Section. Doran's Blade is the weakest out the three in my opinion. You will only get this if you know you can dominate your lane. The extra health makes you durable early game, the damage will help your harass out of lane and possibly get a kill. Only problem is that you have no other sustain type besides your Primal Surge, and if you spam that you will simply run out of mana too fast and get outlaned. [title]Core Lane:[/title] [item=boots-of-speed][item=wriggles-lantern][item=dorans-blade][item=dorans-blade][item=phage] [title]Analysis:[/title] A very strong, and yet very cheap build to go for your early game. This build is very strong because it focus' on Doran's Blade giving you that little extra damage and health. Overall a strong way to stay in game, and taking advantage of a very cheap and good item. Phage is an amazing item because every auto it provides a slow, allowing you to easily catch up to enemies and destroy them. Phage also provides some decent early tanky stats and builds into Trinity Force. [title]Core Lane:[/title] [item=boots-of-speed][item=wriggles-lantern][item=warmogs-armor](Probaly won't finish Warmongs Armor) [title]Analysis:[/title] During the first part of the game you should be focused on farming the most, because you need the money to get big items fast. Around the laning phase you should have had enough to buy boots, if you didn't already, and a wriggles, because the sustain is amazing and gives a free ward. Warmogs Armor is a must because you need health to go with your later items. [title]Core:[/title] [item=boots-of-speed][item=wriggles-lantern][item=dorans-blade][item=dorans-blade][item=trinity-force] [title]Analysis:[/title] If you go for the two Doran's rush, then it is ideal to then go for a Trinity Force rush. Trinity Force is a very strong way to get amazing burst, along with a decent amount of survivability. Trinity Force rush is a very strong item build, and debatable better then Atmogs. [title]Core:[/title] [item=boots-of-speed][item=wriggles-lantern][item=warmogs-armor][item=atmas-impaler] [title]Analysis:[/title] After the laning phase, you should have enough to buy on of your main damage items, which also makes you very tanky, Atmas Impaler. Atmas Impaler is a must when stacking health on a tanky dps like AD Nidalee, because it makes you durable and gives you some nice damage. [title]Standard Late Game Build:[/title] ([item=mercurys-treads]/[item=ninja-tabi])[item=wriggles-lantern][item=warmogs-armor][item=atmas-impaler][item=trinity-force][item=force-of-nature] [title]Analysis:[/title] This build allows me alot of durability when I get into team fights, and it scales with Nidalee's Takedown to be a skill that will tear through your enemies! While in Cougar with full build you will have close you 200 armor and magic resist. The Warmogs Armor also provides alot of health, complemented with a Atmas Impaler you will have over 200 base AD, this startings build is known as "ATMOGS" and is a pretty standard build for any Tanky Dps. One things that is also important on AD Nidalee is her Trinity Force, with this being able to proc off her Takedown spell you will be able to burst people down pretty fast. Another item that I think is necessary after testing is your Wriggles Lantern rush early game, this item provides enough lifesteal to keep Nidalee Happy. Another positive to having Wriggles Lantern is having a free Sight Ward to help you split push, this combined with Pounce and Bushwhack will make you impossible to catch off guard while you split push.

[center][img=items/mercurys-treads.png]/[img=items/ninja-tabi.png][/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] Gives much needed Movement Speed [.] [highlight]Optional Tenacity([imgsmall=items/mercurys-treads.png])[/highlight] [.] [highlight]Optional Armor and Physical Damage Reduction ([imgsmall=items/ninja-tabi.png])[/highlight] [title]Explanation:[/title] There are really only two boot choices viable on Nidalee. Mercury Treads give you magic resist, and reducing crowd control effects on you. If you are having trouble and if you see that the enemy team is heavy on crowd control, don't hesitate to get Mercury Treads. Same goes with Ninja Tabi, if you need to counter your lane because your losing hard, or you see that there is a large amount of physical damage on the enemy team, do not hesitate to buy these. [center][img=items/wriggles-lantern.png][/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] [highlight]Sustain[/highlight] [.] Armor [.] [highlight]Ward[/highlight] [title]Explanation:[/title] Wriggles Lantern is a very good item for any tanky dps champion, because of the armor and lifesteal and attack damage bonus on it. Wriggles Lantern also provides a free ward so you can always be covered. It doesn't cost much at all, and the price is definitely worth getting it. [center][img=items/the-brutalizer.png][/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] Attack Damage [.] [highlight]Armor Penetration[/highlight] [.] Cool Down Reduction [title]Explanation:[/title] A Brutalizer is entirely dependent on how you like to build your Tanky Dps Champions. I know some people that feel brutalizer is absolutely amazing, but they also have a right to think that. The item is cheap, and gives a good amount of attack damage and a better then decent amount of armor penetration. The only problem is that you never want to finish this item into a Youmuus Ghostblade([imgsmall=items/youmuus-ghostblade.png]), because its not the best item on her, and there are a lot better choice in my opinion. Overall though, choosing to build brutalizer isn't a bad choice at all. [center][img=items/warmogs-armor.png][/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] [highlight]Health[/highlight] [.] Tanky [title]Explanation:[/title] Warmogs Armor is an item that is pretty standard on any tanky dps champion. it provides a massive amount of health, and keeps getting stronger. Warmogs Armor is a item that will allow you it hit somewhere around the three thousand health mark, while having enough armor and magic resist item to keep you tanky overall. One of the best items AD Nidalee could ask for. [center][img=items/atmas-impaler.png][/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] [highlight]Attack Damage Based on Health[/highlight] [.] Armor [.] Crit [title]Explanation:[/title] Atmas Impaler is another item the is pretty stand on any tanky dps champion. Atmas Impaler provides attack damage based on your health. Basically, the more health you get, the stronger your attack damage gets. Although it may seem like a good idea to just stack health, you need armor and magic resist it mitigated damage more. When you build Warmongs Armor and Atmas Impaler, it is known as "ATMOGS" and is one of the stronger item combinations currently in the League of Legends Meta. [center][img=items/trinity-force.png][/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] [highlight]Sheen([imgsmall=items/sheen.png]) (Extra Damage on Q([imgsmall=skills/nidalee/q.png]))[/highlight] [.] [highlight]Phage([imgsmall=items/phage.png]) (Slow Effect and Health)[/highlight] [.] Zeal([imgsmall=items/zeal.png]) ( Attack Speed and Movement Speed) [title]Explanation:[/title] Trinity Force is an excellent item to get on Nidalee because there is so much use she can get from it. Trinity Force provides a chance to proc a Phage[imgsmall=items/phage.png]) slow on them, allowing you to catch up to anyone. Sheen([imgsmall=items/sheen.png]) allows your Takedown([imgsmall=skills/nidalee/q.png]) to become very bursty. The Zeal([imgsmall=items/zeal.png]) it provides is overall just great because it gives you amazing mobility and utility. The raw stats on it give you everything you could ever want, plus some extra bonus' that are not bad at all. [center][img=items/force-of-nature.png][/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] [highlight]Magic Resist[/highlight] [.] [highlight]Massive Regeneration[/highlight] [.] Movement Speed [title]Explanation:[/title] Force of Nature is a good item to have when you stack health, and provides a good amount of magic resist. One way Force of Nature works is that it allows increased health regeneration based on how much health you have, 0.35%. It provides a very good amount of magic resist and gives you a good movement speed buff that allows you to be nearly untouchable. It is a very good item to have on AD Nidalee. [center][img=items/banshees-veil.png][/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] [highlight]Blocks one harmful spell[/highlight] [.] [highlight]Magic Resist[/highlight] [.] Health and Mana [title]Explanation:[/title] Banshees Veil is a good item to have when your scared of upfront magic burst. The reason Banshees Veil is an excellent item to have if your scared of upfront burst is because it blocks one spell. This item is also provides health that will stack with Atmas Impaler. [center][img=items/quicksilver-sash.png][/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] [highlight]Cleanse anything[/highlight] [.] Magic Resist [title]Explanation:[/title] Quicksilver Sash is a very good magic resist item to have on any character. This item basically allows you to get out of any sticky situation. The magic resist this item provides is pretty good and allows you to play a little more aggressive. [center][img=items/randuins-omen.png][/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] [highlight]AoE Slow[/highlight] [.] Armor [.] Builds from Heart of Gold([imgsmall=items/heart-of-gold.png]) [title]Explanation:[/title] Randuins Omen is a very effective item that will disable the enemy team. This is not a bad item at all and allows you to go in and slow all enemies around you crippling them and allowing your team to take an advantage. Another positive about this item is that one things that is required to build this is a gold per five item, Heart of Gold([imgsmall=items/heart-of-gold.png]). The gold per five item is not a bad item to buy if you are having trouble farming and need additional help and think you can put it to good use. [center][img=items/frozen-heart.png][/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] [highlight]Armor[/highlight] [.] [highlight]Cool Down Reduction[/highlight] [title]Explanation:[/title] Frozen Heart is another good armor choice for AD Nidalee to have. This item puts a debuff aura around you reduces the enemies' attack speed. This item provides a substantial amount of armor that will allow you to tank a lot, and gives some nice cool-down reduction. Overall, this is a viable option for AD Nidalee to have. [center][img=items/guardian-angel.png] [/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] [highlight] Revive ability[/highlight] [.] Armor [.] Magic Resist [title]Explanation:[/title] I found this item to be very effective on AD Nidalee. This item allows you go in, tank, die, and tank again. This item will allow them to blow up on you, and gives you time to revive again. This item is good against teams that can't communicate correctly because if they target you, the Guardian Angel, they are making a mistake usually. Very good item if the game is dragged on thirty minutes onwards. [center][img=items/last-whisper.png][/center] [title]Pros:[/title] [.] [highlight]Armor Penetration[/highlight] [.] Damage [.] More expensive and late game version of The Brutalizer([imgsmall=items/the-brutalizer.png]) imo [title]Explanation:[/title] Last Whisper is a good item to have when you find the enemy building a large amount of armor. This item gives you an addition 40% armor penetration, with this you won't really need to worry about armor penetration at all. The damage this item also gives just complements AD Nidalee that much more, and makes it an even bigger incentive to buy this item.

"Split Pushing" or "Back Dooring" is a concept that basically means by yourself you push a lane while everyone else including the enemy team does not stop you. Split Pushing is used when you are pushing with a wave of minions usally, and to Back Door means you go to the tower solo, which Nidalee is unable to do. Here is one reason I find that running teleport on Nidalee is very strong. If you are successfully "Back Doring" or "Split Pushing" all your team needs to do is drop a ward and you can use teleport to instantly be in the team fight while the minion wave pushes a tower on its own. Another reason I find that AD Nidalee is very strong is that she is very hard to 1v1, in fact, she can 1v1 almost anyone considering you had a mediocre time laning, and has a decent amount of creep score (CS). I also like to have the summoner spells Exhaust and Flash because they are two summoners spells that don't really fall off at all throughout the game, and Exhaust will give you a nice 1v1 advantage if you get the opportunity. Split pushing becomes easy with Nidalee when you have a Wriggles Lantern because of the free ward and the amount of utility and ability to escape Nidalee has. Overall I find that Nidalee is one of the best split pushers in the game because of the way you can build her, and her mobility that complements everything. [title][center]---------------------------------------Proper Ward Placement---------------------------------------[/center][/title] [center][imgext=][/center] [highlight][center](Was Taken from Xpecial's Support Guides (Check them out!), credit for the map goes to him because I couldn't have done a better job!)[/center][/highlight]

Laning phase can either be luxurious or it can be hell phase for AD Nidalee, but it can also be both. One way your lane can be luxurious is that sometimes you will be able to push some people out of lane with smooth and correctly timed auto attacks. The laning phase can also be hell for AD Nidalee is because you might be pushed out of lane pre-level six, since Nidalee has a sort of weak early game. It is very hard for Nidalee to be pushed out of lane after level 6 because of her cougar form, and impossible once she has level 9 because of her maxed out Primal Surge. Once level 6, you now have your Cougar form that makes AD Nidalee possible. This has HUGE burst potential at low levels and makes you very durable, durable enough to keep up with feared solo top laners. Once level 9, you can easily push a minion wave with a Pounce and Swipe while in Cougar Form. The burst on Takedown is so huge that it is one of the reasons that AD Nidalee will be able to outlane a lot of people with unexpected damage. A key to wining your lane is basically matching their harass and damage they output on you with yours. And after you exchanged blows you can go out of Cougar Form and sustain yourself with your Primal Surge because you really shouldn't be wasting your mana on anything else beside spears you know you'll lane. [highlight]ld;tr - Play safe, analyze you opponent, abuse your sustain, play safe. ( I know I said play safe two times...)[/highlight]

[highlight]ld;tr - Play Safe.[/highlight] [center] [title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/tryndamere.png] [title]Explanation: [/title] Tryndamere is a character that has a lot more sustain and damage output early game that will give you a lot of trouble. Early game is where you will really need to try hard, because you will need to focus on last hitting, and get free auto attacks on him whenever possible to give you ever little advantage, early game you might be able to solo him. Coordinate with your jungler to gank him both pre and after level six. One thing you can do is just constantly exchange blow between you and him, this will cause him to be more precocious of you and will allow you to show some dominance. Mainly just focus on last hitting, because you will need to be able to carry yourself hard into mid and late game with a Tryndamere against you. [center] [title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/wukong.png] [title]Explanation: [/title] Wukong is a here that can be quiet annoying when facing him in top lane. I have found success in beating a Wukong top lane by buying armor and health points, this first set up will give you a lot more sustain against him and allow you to take reduced damage because of the armor. Second, make an effort to make out your Primal Surge first (if you are not already) because it will just give you a lot more sustain and dominance. As you see, all these have to do with out sustaining, Wukong is a very low sustain character, and the only thing I can see him sustain with is if he went boots and health potions first, poke him down with auto attacks and once level six use your sustain to beat him in lane by engaging in a small brawl with him, and going out and healing, rinse and repeat and you are sure to win against him. [center] [title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/volibear.png] [title]Explanation: [/title] Volibear is a unique champion that will give you some trouble in lane. My best advice for laning against him is to try and poke him down with auto attacks and since he has low sustain, out sustain him! Another piece of advice I can give you that will help a lot is try and get free harass in and out of Cougar Form on him while his Frenzy([imgsmall=skills/volibear/w.png]) stacks are down, otherwise he will get a free single target nuke on you that will hurt. Coordinate ganks with your jungler is another strong piece of advice I can give. Be careful of his passive, Chosen of the Storm([imgsmall=skills/volibear/p.png]), because in some situation it can bait you really hard, this lets him live along time and can be underestimated at times. Don't lose too hard to this armored bear because it can be punishing later on in team fights. [center] [title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/renekton.png] [title]Explanation: [/title] Renekton is a very unique champion in the fact that has huge burst potential. My advice for laning against an Renekton is poke him down with autos pre-level six, because if you do engage in a fight with him, you WILL NOT WIN. Poke him down with autos, you should be poking at his health little by little with them, and just anticipate when he is probably going to harass and try to avoid it. Once you reach level six you will have your Cougar Form. As you keep poking at him, when he charges at you with his Slice([imgsmall=skills/renekton/e.png]), you will need to change into cougar and engage into a fight with him. Once you've exchanged blows with your Takedown and Swipe he will probably Dice out to safety. Once he dices out you can safely go into human form and use your Primal Surge. After that just rinse and repeat! [center][title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/rumble.png] [title]Explanation:[/title] Rumble is another solo laner that has amazing harass in the laning phase. It makes Rumble become somewhat troublesome when you are forced to lane against him. Pre-Level six you will just need to take his harass, and sustain yourself with Primal Surge, when starting out to lane against him I recommend that you take Primal Surge as your first ability. Throughout the lane phase when he comes to harass with a quick Scrap Shield([imgsmall=skills/rumble/w.png]) and a Flamespitter([imgsmall=skills/rumble/q.png]), just retreat behind your creeps and keeping a good distance between his Flamespitter. When he backs off to last hitting after harassing you out, just heal with Primal Surge and start to poke him with auto attacks. Once level six and he comes to harass again you will be able to fight him, use Nidalee's Takedown and Swipe, so you both exchange blows, after the quick duel is over, go into human form and heal up using Primal Surge. Rinse and Repeat. [center][title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/singed.png] [title]Explanation:[/title] Singed is a very unique champion that won't cause much trouble to Nidalee in lane. Here is what I would recommend after past experiences with laning against Singed in general. You really don't want to go into Cougar Form and just exchange blows, you want to come out on top every time when you want to win a lane against Singed. For laning against you will just need to break him down with auto attacks, and utilize the brush to get sneaky harass on him, but you don't ever want to bait yourself too hard against him, and you never want the battle to go 50/50 against him, I can't stress how important it is to win your lane against him. You will need to be careful for his Fling([imgsmall=skills/singed/e.png]) and his Poison Trail([imgsmall=skills/singed/q.png]), because that will allow him to exchange blows with you. [center][title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/leesin.png] [title]Explanation:[/title] Lee Sin is a very good character that has a lot of sustained damage and utility to his kit. The burst on his Sonic Wave([imgsmall=skills/leesin/q.png]) is very strong at early levels, and allows him sustained damage with his passive late game. His mobility and skill's synergy fits him so well! Here is my advice when laning against this him, stay behind your minions til level six and you get your Cougar Form. Here is where you have to make a judgement call on how he has been doing. Hes probably used his abilities once or twice, you have analyzed what mastery tree he has probably gone into, and can interpret his runes. By level six you should have analyzed all of this and here is your judgement call. Go in a few times and see if you can duel him, but don't bait yourself too hard though. If you find yourself getting dangerously low after dueling, stop dueling him and continue to last hit and farm in human form. Now, if you are beating him, keep dueling him and then after you've gone in sustain yourself with Primal Surge after the fight, and keep doing it. [center][title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [title][img=champ/garen.png][/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] Garen is a champion that will destroy you in lane. His Judgement([imgsmall=skills/garen/e.png]) will rapidly take you down if you stand in it, and his Decisive Strike([imgsmall=skills/garen/q.png]) will get annoying because of the silence, rapid increase in movement speed, and high damage output at early levels. Not to mention if your not careful about his damage, his ultimate, Demacian Justice([imgsmall=skills/garen/r.png]), is a finisher. I wouldn't recommend trying to fight him at early levels, you will probably lose, and he will be able to match your harass with some health potions and his passive, Perseverance([imgsmall=skills/garen/p.png]), basically equivalent to your Primal Surge at early levels. A good Garen will utilize the bushes, I would recommend buying a ward for the bush, or just completely staying away from it. You also want to get ganks on him, so ask your jungler for help by coordinating with him [center][title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/chogath.png] [title]Explanation:[/title] Cho'Gath is a champion that needs to sustain himself through last hits. Pre-level six you will to deny him with auto attacks. You should be outlaning him and when you both get past level six, I would recommend going in and fighting with him, just remember to try and dodge all his skill shots, for example his Rupture([imgsmall=skills/chogath/q.png]) and Feral Scream([imgsmall=skills/chogath/w.png]), you have your Pounce so you should be able to dodge most of the skill shots. Just don't bait yourself to hard, because of his Ultimate, Feast([imgsmall=skills/chogath/r.png]), is a finisher and a nuking ability, the damage can be unexpected at times. If you find yourself not wining the lane, stop and go back to poking him with auto attacks and last hitting, call for a gank if he starts to overextend. [center][title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/udyr.png] [title]Explanation:[/title] Udyr is one tough match up for you. His Tiger Stance([imgsmall=skills/udyr/q.png]) will deal insane damage at low levels and will harass you out, his Phoenix Stance([imgsmall=skills/udyr/r.png]) is also a great way to push his lane to your tower, and is great when he stacks attack speed on you. His Turtle Stance([imgsmall=skills/udyr/w.png]) will also deny you from poking him quite well, you will just need to try to get free harass on him both pre-level six and once you hit level six. When he tries to go for you using his Bear Stance([imgsmall=skills/udyr/e.png]), I would recommend retreating. After ever harass with his Bear, Tiger, or Phoenix Stance, just retreat and use your Primal Surge to try and sustain yourself because by that time he will be using his Turtle Stance to do the same thing. [center][title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/warwick.png] [title]Explanation:[/title] Meet Warwick, or better known as Lanewick. After going against a few Warwicks I have come to find that it is almost impossible to 1v1 him. Early level his sustain on his Hungering Strike([imgsmall=skills/warwick/q.png]) sustains him so well, and he will always be able to sustain himself through his passive, Eternal Thirst([imgsmall=skills/warwick/p.png]), when last hitting. Try and get free harass on him both pre-level six and after level his with auto attacks and Cougar Form abilities. Two things you need to worry about with Warwick is his ultimate, Infinite Duress([imgsmall=skills/warwick/r.png]), when it comes to setting up a gank this thing is perfect, and then Warwick is an amazing chaser with his Blood Sent([imgsmall=skills/warwick/e.png]) and will outrun you anytime if you are low enough. [center][title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/yorick.png] [title]Explanation:[/title] Yorick is a very strong solo top, because his harass and sustain. Going up against a Yorick will require you to sustain yourself as much as you can pre-level 6 and try and get free auto attacks off on him. Once you get your Cougar Form you can start scaring him with your combo, don't take too much damage though because he can sustain himself a lot quicker then you can. A tip for laning against a Yorick if hes pushing you to your tower, let the ghouls get tower aggro from hitting you so they are quickly dealt with. Overall depending on the Yorick player, you may or may not be able to beat him in lane, if you cant, call for a gank. [center] [title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/akali.png] [title]Explanation:[/title] Akali is a hell champion to lane against, but after her nerf, she isn't as big and bad as she used to be. Once both of you are level six, you don't want to try and duel her, her Mark of the Assassin([imgsmall=skills/akali/q.png]) burst potential along with her Twilight Shroud([imgsmall=skills/akali/w.png]) will just outclass you every time. If you do find yourself force to fight in her shroud, just use your Swipe to do AOE damage so you at least have somewhat of a chance to harass back. You need to just try and get last hit here to make it so you survive to mid and late game team fights so you can actually do something for your teamm. Also if she really likes putting down her Twilight Shroud on top of you, don't hesitate to buy a vision ward, it can really counter her in most cases. Just once she gets her Shadow Dance([imgsmall=skills/akali/r.png]), get ready for a lot of harass and maybe you dieing. Remember ask your jungler for possible gank opportunities that arrive, communicate with him. [center] [title]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/title][/center] [img=champ/irelia.png] [title]Explanation:[/title] Irelia is a very good solo top. I personally think that if both of you are level six Irelia and Nidalee would be equal in the amount of damage they would be able to put out on each other, so long as she doesn't chase you. The only thing I can say is that you should engage in a duel with her if her Transcendent Blades([imgsmall=skills/irelia/r.png]) is on cool-down. Pre six she will be able to kill you, but also remember don't take too much early damage she can come back at early levels with her Blade Surge([imgsmall=skills/irelia/q.png]) and Equilibrium Strike([imgsmall=skills/irelia/e.png]), along with the extra true damage and sustain from Hiten Style([imgsmall=skills/irelia/w.png]). Just sustain yourself with Primal Surge and don't try and take too much damage.

Mid game is one area of the game AD Nidalee can really shine. This phase will most likely impact the end game the most, or at least next to the most impactful to the game. Here your team will need to control the dragon, and control their lanes. You need to always inform your jungler on where the enemy is located and what lanes are being pushed. As I said in the previous chapters is to call for ganks, if your jungler is just to occupied and he is getting ganks off places else where, don't be a bitch to him, remember this is a [highlight]TEAM[/highlight] game, and in a [highlight]TEAM[/highlight] game you need your work with your [highlight]TEAMMATES[/highlight]. For dragon control it wouldn't hurt for your support to drop a sight ward if you run teleport on your solo top lane so you can instantly be there for a dragon. But remember, in doing this you leave your top exposed and making it so that the other solo top can get the tower dangerously low or even destroying it. Team fights you should be coordinating with your team to pick out who is the most dangerous in team fights, and when it would be a good time to engage on them. Remember targeting tanks is bad, but if its early-mid game the tanks usually aren't that tanky yet, and if they start overextending from their team because they think they are invincible, kill them and act like nothing happened. Wards are key here, and if you bought a Wriggles Lantern you want to always have your sight ward placed. Here is also where split pushing comes in handy, I explain "split pushing" or "back dooring" for Nidalee in the chapters above in case you haven't read it. This phase also has farm and roam all day written all over it, Nidalee is amazing at roamer with all her speed, and great at pushing minion waves. Use roaming and pushing to your advantage to make AD Nidalee a amazing complement for any team. [highlight]ld;tr - Take control of Dragon and possbily Baron, Split push, be there for team fights, you are very strong here[/highlight]

Here is where all your work, if done right, should shine. If you didn't win by late mid-game, here is where things can really impact everything. Here you want to have the enemy jungle warded, and you should ALWAYS be using your Wriggles Lantern's ward to your advantage to keep a ward at Baron Nashor, or other key spots in the map. Because Nidalee has such high mobility with her Cougar Form and other abilities, it doesn't hurt to scout ahead for your team, just be careful because one bad team fight here could mean the end of your game. Coordinate with your team to find out the most dangerous player on the team and kill him. Remember, make hie/her a priority kill, but do not lose a team fight because your whole team needed to get that kill, if you simply cant reach him/her kill someone else. Baron Nashor control here is key, because Baron Nashor's Buff and presence is a gaming changing moment in the game, you let them have it and they will face roll you, you fight them and you have the chance of losing. Keep it warded and have your team coordinated and try and look for opportunities to catch the enemy team out of position. Nidalee's Job in a team fight is to cause chaos by jumping around with her Pounce, being annoying with her Swipe, and finally bursting people down with Takedown. Cougar provides a lot of survivability so you will be able to beating and survive. Remember, you have Primal Surge([imgsmall=skills/nidalee/e.png]), this is an AS steroid basically equal to Nunu's Bold Boil([imgsmall=skills/nunu/w.png]), you should always cast this on your AD carry before a team fight starts. If you ran Exhaust as one of your summoner spells, you can exhaust the most threatening person, it doesn't have to always be the AD or AP carry either, just so you can cripple one of their teammates long enough. [highlight]ld;tr - Give your Attack Damage(AD) Carry your AS Steroid([imgsmall=skills/nidalee/e.png]) in fights, kill squishies, do lots of damage, take control of baron, win game[/highlight]

My in game name is CasualBanana and I think AD Nidalee is viable and this is my guide on how I play her. This guide wasn't totally made by myself because I took ideas from everywhere including videos/maps/tips from other people (credit given), along with my own ideas from my experiences with AD Nidalee. I currently sit all day in "The Guide Team" in League of Legends along with other guide makers, including FYA Umashi. I hope you enjoyed my guide and hope to see more AD Nidalees on the Fields of Justice.
