Welcome to my AP Blitzcrank guide. Blitzcrank is probably my best champion, and I found that this build is the best way to go for AP. Towards the end of the build it really depends on what you should get, but I find that this is the all around best.

Marks: Magic Pen. Any kind of AP build needs these IMO. Seals: Mana Regen. Okay, I know a lot of you are confused at this part, but mana regen is great on blitzcrank early game. Especially if you solo top. You can spam more pulls and use your other abilities alot too. Glyphs: Flat AP. Helps early game, as always. You can swap these out with something else if you want, but I think this works fine. Quints: Flat Health. Helps you be aggressive early on.

[title][img=skills/blitzcrank/p.png] Passive: Mana Barrier[/title] [number]When Blitzcrank life is brought below 20% health he activates Mana Barrier. Mana Barrier can only occur once per minute. This creates a mana shield with 50% of his mana, lasts 10 seconds and refunds any unspent mana.[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] With a lot of mana, this is insane. You will never die if you have a good amount of mana. In my item build I try to focus my items around this passive. The rod of ages really helps with this. [title][img=skills/blitzcrank/q.png] Q: Rocket Grab[/title] [number]Blitzcrank fires his right hand, if it encounters an enemy unit it will stun them and deal 60 / 120 / 180 / 240 / 300 (+80% of ability power) magic damage while he pulls them to himself. Cooldown 22 / 21 / 20 / 19 / 18seconds Cost 140mana Range 10000[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] The Q does a load of damage late game, and really helps your combo kill anyone instantly. The reason why you max this first is because it is your main damage output pre level 6. So having a few levels in it really helps. [title][img=skills/blitzcrank/w.png] W: Overdrive[/title] [number]Blitzcrank super charges himself to increase Movement Speed by 16 / 20 / 24 / 28 / 32% and attack speed by 30 / 38 / 46 / 54 / 62% for 8 seconds. However, when this effect ends his movement speed is decreased by 25% for 3 seconds. Cooldown 22seconds Cost 90mana Range 1[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] The W should be maxed second. My reasoning in this is the extra speed bonus that it gives, both in AttackSpeed and MoveSpeed. It helps a lot to get out of sticky situations. [title][img=skills/blitzcrank/e.png] E: Power Fist[/title] [number]Blitzcrank charges up his fist to make his next attack deal double his total attack damage and pop his target up in the air. Cooldown 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5seconds Cost 25mana Range 300[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] The E is last. I feel that it isn't as important because usually at level 1 you will get it twice in a fight anyways, it's more helpful late game to have it maxed. [title][img=skills/blitzcrank/r.png] R: Static Field[/title] [number]Passive: Lightning arcs off of Blitzcrank to hit a random nearby enemy for 100 / 200 / 300 (+25% of ability power) magic damage every 2.5 seconds. Active: Deals 250 / 375 / 500 (+100% of ability power) and silences surrounding enemy units for 0.5 seconds. The passive is not in effect during the cooldown. Cooldown 40seconds Cost 150mana Range 600[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] You can spam this to clear minions. It also does a ton of damage with AP Blitz. This is your main damage output mid and late game. You can turret hop more than 1 person like this, and come out ahead. It's a very great ultimate and you should use it as much as possible. Q>W>E.

[img=items/boots-of-swiftness.png] Helps you go very fast. I have said this quite a bit so far. Really the only boots that are consistent every game on Blitz. [img=items/rod-of-ages.png][img=items/lich-bane.png] These two items are the must haves in the build. The Rod helps early game, and the lichbane is perfect. After a pull, and a punch, the lich bane is just another hit of burst. You can kill everyone after this. For Heavy AD: [img=items/frozen-heart.png] For Heavy AP: [img=items/force-of-nature.png] For Mixed: [img=items/guardian-angel.png] Rounding off the build: [img=items/rabadons-deathcap.png][img=items/void-staff.png]

Early game, you really just want to try to pull people to the tower. A lot of the time, people will hide behind creeps. That one second that they don't you pull them. Watch out for low creeps, and if they are behind them or not. Time your pulls to go as soon as the creep dies to get your enemy. Here are some great tips: - Try to use your ult to clear waves, as it's a low cooldown - If an enemy is close to your tower, use your ult to clear minions and then pull him. A lot of the time all the minions will be cleared and they will get destroyed by the tower. - Try not to be extremely aggressive, as your passive does give you a shield, it's not strong enough to get you out of everything. Just so you know, your burst is as follows: Q-Pull E-Knock Up R-Static Field W-Chase

This is where you can get aggressive. You have more mana now, causing your barrier to give you a great shield. You can 1v1 almost any champion and win. Just travel around the map and push lanes with your ult. Make sure to use your W and E every time it's up when you are hitting a tower.

Just make sure you are with your team so you can get into team fights. I will explain team fighting here. - Knock up the carry or the main DPS - Ult in the middle of the fight - Try to pull carries to the rest of the team, if the chance comes. - Try to stay near the front because you will be quite tanky at this point. - Don't let your DPS die.
