[center][youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAjPH9T0iBQ[/youtube][/center] Want to make awesome [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] plays like that one? You're in the right place. I, General OddOne, am well known for eating Subway and jungling [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png]. Although he used to be an extremely popular support champ, [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] is a great jungler that can pull off strong ganks. His [imgsmall=skills/alistar/w.png][imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] combo is terrifying and he can pull off a tanky/bruiser roll just fine. Your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/e.png] is great for its utility in team fights and will also help you stay healthy in your jungle. Overall, [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] is a well-rounded jungler that can be a real game changer when played correctly. [imgext=http://na.leagueoflegends.com/sites/default/files/game_data/1.0.0.144/content/champion/portraits/12.jpg] [title]Cow Stats[/title] [highlight]Damage[/highlight] 55.03 (+3.62 / per level) [highlight]Health[/highlight] 442 (+102 / per level) [highlight]Mana[/highlight] 215 (+38 / per level) [highlight]Move Speed[/highlight] 305 [highlight]Armor[/highlight] 14.5 (+3.5 / per level) [highlight]Spell Block[/highlight] 30 (+1.25 / per level) [highlight]Health Regen[/highlight] 7.25 (+0.85 / per level) [highlight]Mana Regen[/highlight] 6.45 (+0.45 / per level)

[center][imgext=http://i.imgur.com/RosEm.jpg][/center] [highlight]GLYPHS:[/highlight] 24.3 MR at level 18 is a pretty decent chunk of MR. Although you COULD run flat MR, you'd only be getting around 13~ MR instead of the 24.3, which is about double of what the flat MR would give you. I feel that MR per level pays off in the long run and is a good investment. [highlight]SEALS:[/highlight] Run Resilience to give you 12.69~ armor. If you look back up at the Cow's stats, you'll see that his initial armor is pretty low. The jungle creeps will hurt quite a bit if you don't grab some armor, so that's why I chose Resilience over anything else. [highlight]MARKS:[/highlight] I like running Alacrity because it speeds up your jungle. You'll also be auto attacking faster during ganks + team fights and that's never a bad thing. [highlight]QUINTS:[/highlight] FAST COW IS FAST. Faster ganks, faster clear time, faster at running around the map like you have Mad Cow Disease. You want to be fast and furious? Run MS Quints.

[center][imgext=http://i.imgur.com/Avw2V.jpg][/center] [title][img=skills/alistar/p.png] Passive: Trample[/title] [number]Whenever Alistar casts a spell, he gains Trample for 3 seconds ignoring unit collision and dealing 10-23 (+10% ability power) area damage per second (double damage to minions and monsters) [/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is a nifty passive that gives you a small amount of AoE damage. To keep it active remember to cycle through your spells while jungling, especially when you have blue buff. For the 3 seconds he also ignores unit collision, so you don't have to worry about minions and annoying tanks cock blocking you from using your combo on a high priority target. Overall, it's a pretty nice passive to have. [title][img=skills/alistar/q.png] Q: Pulverize[/title] [number]Alistar smashes the ground, dealing 60/105/150/195/240 (+50% of ability power) magic damage and tossing all nearby enemy units into the air and stunning them for 0.5 seconds. Cooldown 17/16/15/14/13 seconds Cost 70 / 85 / 100 / 115 / 130 mana Range 365 [/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] [imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] is what makes you a true terror while ganking and when you're in team fights. By using [imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] on a high priority target they will be knocked up and unable to fight back for 0.5 seconds. Honestly, if your team is smart then you guys should be able to wipe a carry off the map without them getting any powerful spells off. Be sure to know how far this spell can reach, as it can really screw you over if you [imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] the wrong thing. [title][img=skills/alistar/w.png] W: Headbutt[/title] [number]Alistar charges at an enemy and rams them dealing 85/130/175/220/265 (+70% of ability power) magic damage and knocking them back (does not stun). Cooldown 14/13/12/11/10 seconds Cost 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120mana Range 650 [/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is an extremely strong spell for ganks and fights. Catch someone trailing behind their team? [imgsmall=skills/alistar/w.png] them into a wall and then use [imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png]. They'll never escape! Also, keep in mind that you can use this to disengage as well as engage. You can [imgsmall=skills/alistar/w.png] minions to put distance between you and the enemy team if they catch you off guard. [title][img=skills/alistar/e.png] E: Triumphant Roar[/title] [number]Instantly restore 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+20% of ability power) health to himself and half of that value to surrounding allied units. Cooldown ticks down by 2 seconds each time a nearby enemy unit dies. Cooldown 12 seconds Cost 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 mana Range 200[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is just a nice little AoE heal. If you so happen to be pushing out waves, remember to spam this if you have enough mana, as you get reduced CDR when an enemy unit dies. [title][img=skills/alistar/r.png] R: Unbreakable Will[/title] [number]Alistar gains 60 / 75 / 90 physical damage, and takes 50/60/70% reduced physical and magic damage for 7 seconds. Cooldown 120 / 100 / 80seconds Cost 150 mana[/number] [title]Explanation:[/title] Press [imgsmall=skills/alistar/r.png] and you instantly become tankier. Remember to time this spell properly, because if you blow [imgsmall=skills/alistar/r.png] too early then the enemy team can just wait for it to run out. If you hold onto your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/r.png] for too long you'll find that you'll die even with your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/r.png] on. When an enemy goes in and uses a spell with hard CC, that's usually the appropriate time to [imgsmall=skills/alistar/r.png]. However, different situations call for different [imgsmall=skills/alistar/r.png] timings. Just experiment with your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/r.png] until you find the perfect timing for you :)

[center][imgext=http://i.imgur.com/Avw2V.jpg][/center] [.] Take [imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] at level 1. The damage + knock up is nice and will allow you to have 0.5 seconds where the minions won't be trying to murder you. [.] Take [imgsmall=skills/alistar/w.png] level 2. As [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] you want to try and pull off early ganks. [.] Grab [imgsmall=skills/alistar/e.png] at level 3 to improve your sustain in the jungle. Only 1 point in this is enough. [.] Focus on leveling your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] and then your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/e.png]. [.] Of course, level your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/r.png] whenever you can.

[center][title]Starting Items[/title][/center] [item=boots-of-speed]: Grab these to improve your speed in the jungle. They'll also give you an edge for your early ganks. [item=health-potion3]: Gib me pots or I repot u. Seriously, just grab three so you don't die to your own buffs. That'd be embarrassing. [center][title]Early Game Buys[/title][/center] [item=philosophers-stone]: Grab this on your first back for the health/mana regen. It'll help you sustain throughout your jungle without having to buy a ton of pots. [item=heart-of-gold]: This builds into one of your core items for mid/late game. It'll also make you tankier during fights for drag, ganking, etc. [item=boots-of-mobility]: If you can afford it, now wouldn't be a bad time to get your [imgsmall=items/boots-of-mobility.png]. FAST COW IS SO FAST. [img=items/sight-ward.png]: If you have any money left over then grabbing a ward is always nice. You can ward the enemy jungle with it, ward for your top/bot, or even ward one of your own buffs if you're worried about a counter-jungler like [imgsmall=champ/shyvana.png]. [center][title]Core Items[/title][/center] [item=aegis-of-the-legion]: It makes you and your team tankier. It's a very nice item overall. However, sometimes your top or support will purchase it. Ask if anyone else is going to buy it before you invest your money. Communication is key! [item=shurelyas-reverie]: It builds from your [imgsmall=items/philosophers-stone.png] and is a pretty great item. Pop its active if you need to catch up to engage onto the enemy team. You can also use it to disengage if you find that your team is on the losing end. [item=randuins-omen]: DO NOT FORGET TO USE THIS DURING TEAM FIGHTS. The active is absolutely useless if you forget to use it. [center][title]Optional Items[/title][/center] [item=locket-of-the-iron-solari]: If the enemy AD Carry is far behind or even just not very strong, you can grab [imgsmall=items/locket-of-the-iron-solari.png]. The shield is nice for your team and it'll make you stronger in team fights. [item=frozen-heart]: Get this if the enemy team has 2-3 strong AD champs. [item=trinity-force]: Tons of damage! Overall it's a nice item that gives you a little bit of everything. [item=youmuus-ghostblade]: With this you'll be dealing a decent amount of damage. The active is also pretty cool.

[center][title]General Jungler With Mana Path[/title][/center] 1) Get your wolves. 2) Get your blue. 3) Get your wraiths. 4) Get your red. 5) Gank if there's an opportunity. 6) Golems. 7) Wraiths again for level 4. [center][title]Optional Level 1 Invade[/title][/center] [.] If they have a slow jungler or just do not have a strong level 1 comp, invading with your team is a possibility. [.] Usually, the safest path to invade is (if you're blue team) to go to their top tri-bush. At around 1:30~ move into their jungle. [.] If you run face first into someone guarding red and your team is ready to follow up, use your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] to knock up the enemy. If this happens you will almost always get FB. Grab their red and ask for a strong leash if you don't want to use your [imgsmall=summoners/smite.png]. [.] Even if the enemy manages to get away, they'll more than likely blow [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] or [imgsmall=summoners/ghost.png] depending on what Summoner Spell they chose. Even if you don't get FB, just keep in mind that whoever used [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] flash will be EXTREMELY vulnerable in lane. Keep that in mind for an early gank. [center][title]Tips & Tricks[/title][/center] [.] [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] is a slow farmer, so if you screw up your ganks you'll end up being far behind. If the enemy team is pushed to their tower and you would be forced to tower dive, play it safe and farm your jungle. However, if the enemy team pushes too far and is vulnerable...go at them from behind. You can't milk those! [.] You can escape from a crappy situation by [imgsmall=skills/alistar/w.png] onto some minions. [.] During team fights remember to use your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/e.png] to give your allies a nice little AoE heal. [.] Time your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/r.png] properly and you'll be nearly unkillable during team fights. [.] If you're feeling confident that you won't die, an [imgsmall=items/oracles-elixir.png] is great. Clearing wards will give you gold and less enemy map vision is better for you. [.] Your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/w.png][imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] wombo combo is best used on squishy carries that do tons of damage. [.] Your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/p.png] allows you to avoid unit collision, so be sure to cycle through your spells during teamfights.

If you read the Jungling chapter of this guide you should know what to do. If not, here's your path: 1) Get your wolves. 2) Get your blue. 3) Get your wraiths. 4) Get your red. 5) Gank if there's an opportunity. 6) Golems. 7) Wraiths again for level 4. With [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] you ABSOLUTELY MUST land your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/w.png][imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] combo to excel as a jungle Cow. If you screw a ton of these up you'll be further behind than if you actually just stayed in your jungle and farmed. Practice your combo. Master your combo and one day you will be able to make the plays.

By now, if your early game ganks haven't failed, you should be making the enemy team pee theirselves every time they don't see you for a while. Grab an [imgsmall=items/oracles-elixir.png] if you want to crack down on their ward coverage. Even when they can't see you, you'll still have presence. [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] is the last champ they want to run into, especially with your wombo combo. Now is the time to group for dragon. You can [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png]+[imgsmall=skills/alistar/w.png][imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] to hard engage onto the enemy carries. Remember to cycle through your spells to keep your [imgsmall=skills/alistar/p.png] active. Do your best to keep your carries safe and sound while you and your other tanky/bruiser teammates stay in the front-line.

By this time in the game you're basically a glorified support, but that doesn't mean you're useless. You do fall out a little, but your wombo combo is just as terror as it was in the early game. You're going to have a harder time getting to their carries, but you can still peel and CC for your carries to make their lives easier. [.] With [imgsmall=skills/alistar/r.png] activated you will not be effected by [imgsmall=items/last-whisper.png]. [.] During fights remember to use your items like [imgsmall=items/locket-of-the-iron-solari.png][imgsmall=items/shurelyas-reverie.png][imgsmall=items/randuins-omen.png]. [.] Keep baron/dragon secure. As the jungler it's your job to help ward, even if it's late game. [.] Stay in a group and don't wander off. You NEED to be there for fights.

[imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] is a strong, versatile jungler that is well worth learning. Although it may be hard to get used to his [imgsmall=skills/alistar/w.png][imgsmall=skills/alistar/q.png] combo, after you learn it you will not regret taking the time to play him. [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] is an extremely strong jungler that can provide a lot of CC and some utility during team fights. He's viable in tournaments, high ELE play, and is definitely a champ you could use to climb the ELO ladder.
