Varus is a Ranged Attack Damage champion, considered an ADC(attack damage carry) so it's an high risk-high reward champion and he's played along with a support by his side on the current meta. Varus is a really strong AD because he doesn't have any hard counter and he can crush the lane with his skill set. He is one of two AD's with great engages (the other one beign Ashe) and with great cc during lanephase. He synergizes really well with supports meaning that he can be picked with any support by his side.

Pros: - High CC - High poke ability - %hp damage - No hard counters - Lane dominance and great synergy - Aoe spells scaling off AD - Great Engage Cons: - No escape (expect with ulti or flash) - A lot of skillshots - Damage falls off late game - Mana hungry early game.

Runes: This is my rune page. [imgext=] My second rune page, when I feel lucky. [imgext=] Masteries: Standart 21/9/0 on ADC, best against burst lanes. [imgext=] 21/5/4 for extra mana regen. TIP: Remember that Varus has no escape mechanisms so playing this masterie page is about giving up some Defenses for mana regen. [imgext=]

Passive: Living Vengeance Explanation: this passive is pretty decent for laning. you'll have almost a 100% uptime on your 20% atk spd increase, so it's not bad at all. And this passive can increase your overall DPS in a teamfight once you get a kill/assist in a teamfight. However, it is still a bit inconsistent because you won't have it up 100% of the time. Q: Piercing Arrow Explanation: This ability does tons of damage when it's maxed first AND if people get hit by it at full charge. But since we're using the E max build, only put one point in Q because we're going to use it at minimum charge to proc your blight stacks. W: Blighted Quiver Explanation: This skill is very useful to have. it adds magic damage for every auto attack you do, and it marks them with a blight stack which stacks up to 3 times which can be triggered by your q, e, or r to do % maximum damage. This also makes your auto attack + E harass much stronger because it's kind of like doing 2 spell harassment in lane, opposed to a 1 spell harassment in lane (which most other AD's do, like graves auto + Q or trist auto + e). So to maximize your damage output, you want to auto attack 3 times, use a skill, and repeat. (However, use your instincts! if you need to use your E or R for the utility, use it immediately!) E: Hail of Arrows Explanation: This spell is probably the strongest harass spell from an AD carry in the game. It does an AOE slow damage field, and enemies inside it are slowed/healing debuffed. The only downside to this ability is that it has a really long cooldown at earlier levels, so make sure not to miss it! R: Chain of Corruption Explanation: This spell, as mentioned earlier is the only game changing CC ultimate that comes from AD carries, on par with Ashe's ultimate. This ultimate is also VERY easy to miss, and it's often missed in professional play because of its slow projectile speed. However, if landed correctly it can snare multiple targets in a teamfight! Make sure you only throw this out if you're sure you will hit it.

Priority: With the recent changes to Varus E it now is better to max Q. You lose some utility but the damage difference between the two is a lot larger than before. Maxing Q allows for long range poke and surprise skills, it is a little different play style from maxing E. Maxing Q will allow for more damage but less utility. Q can snipe people from far away, as well as provide huge burst if you need to cast it quickly without charging up. Why choose E at level one? E has a slow which helps to poke at level 1. Try to auto attack, hail of arrows, then auto attack before retreating. If the enemy turns to fight you can outrun them while they are in the slow.

Early Game 1.FARM FARM FARM FARM 2.Think when u can go aggressive or passive, take advantage on ur enemies mistakes(bad position, tanking cs). 3.Harrass with 3 stacks on W and either Q or E to blow them up. Tip: Varus can dominate the lane on his own, so mastering Varus is a must to win early skirmishes.

Mid Game 1. keep farming at all costs, farming is the most important recource you have to win. 2. finish ur 1st item, and start forcing fights even harder if ur winning. 3. deny ur enemy, dont let him farm, zone him out of lane. 4. position really well and force objectives if your ahead.

1. It's late game, dont keep afk farming botlane cuz u want to seem pro with 300cs. Stick with ur team, ur the most important roler late game. 2. NOW POSITION IS KEY, MORE THEN EVER, YOU CANT FAIL AT POSITION, YOU DIE EARLY ON A FIGHT AND YOUR TEAM LOOSES. POSITION WELL AND YOUR TEAM WINS. 3. Get ready to do some kitting son, max ur kitting skills, attack move is great to do it. LEARN IT. 4. Finish ur last items. Tip: Dont scare but dont be a hero, be an AD, autoattack everytime u can do it safely, it will mean a lot in a fight.

Varus goes really well with any support. The strongest supports I've been playing with as Varus are: 1. Thresh because of his CC, lane dominance and power to zone people out of the lane. 2. Nami because of her poke and E, along with Varus they can destroy botlane. 3. Leona because she has a "lock-on" skill set, once she jumps on 1 guy, he wont move again.

Varus is a really safe pick since he has no hard counters and synergizes really well with any support. TIP: Varus can dominate bot lane on his own, so if you get advantage just deny your enemies the most you can, makes the game much easier. Hope you enjoyed it, I'm Jubbah and I'm from EUW. Cya next time.
