12.10.2013 - UPDATING(NOW) my guide to the newest patch untill this date. Enjoy a re-worked guide. Expect videos and guides on how to play Draven ;) 23.10.2013 - Started Editing my guide to have videos of some gameplay samples and cut-in videos of each game session(Early,Mid,Late). I lack video card, so dont expect such HD videos xD. 13.10.2013-23.10.2013 - Submitted my guide for Aprooval :) 2.11.2013 - My account got hacked, but I got it back and fixing up the guide. It needs tuning up :) 12.11.2013 - Updating the guide with new item builds and tactics. Congratulations to everyone that got their desired divisions in this season! :)

[title]The God of Execution[/title] Who am I? I am a normal player like everyone else. My name is Ice Icembus XIV, in short - Ice. I am ranked currently as a Silver player, maining Top and Marksman roles. When I first started playing Draven, I didn`t actually know that he was strong. I builded a lot of bad items on him, so I never knew what hidden potencial he had. When I finally got into the ranked business, I realised something - with the right items you can even defeat your own counter(Yes, you may know it too)! After some experiments, I finally designed 2 types of builds for Draven - DPS and Anti-Carry(or, Draven and Anti-Draven). We will get to the point where I will tell you why did I name them like that and what do they actually do. For now, lets start with the basic material - Stats,Pros and Cons and introduction to the champion you will want to play. This guide focuses on Draven`s Strong Mid and Late game power. This build makes Draven weak early game, that`s why you need to avoid unnecessary conflicts with the opposing lanes until you have the advantage over them. This build increases Draven`s power dramatically after 15:00 or when you buy your ([imgsmall=items/bf-sword.png])BF Sword. This increases Draven`s farming potential and harass power by 240%. When you get your ([imgsmall=items/the-bloodthirster.png])Bloodthirster and stack it, you will have money for two(2) ([imgsmall=items/dagger.png])Daggers, increasing your harass power and damage. This build is specially made by me, covering each item`s stats and how will they effect positively on the other ones. More explanation about this you can find in the Item section. Lets continue on on the next paragraph - Pros and Cons: [title]Pros:[/title] [.]Highest single-target damage burst; [.]Can farm quite easily with [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png](Spinning Axe); [.]Godlike looking; [.]If you get early kills(invade,1st blood, rampage) they are good to surrender at 20; [.]Playing Draven will sure to not upset you, even if you loose; [.][imgsmall=skills/draven/r.png](Whirling Death[R]) is a Game-Changer; [.]This build helps you taste the champion`s real power; [.]Draven`s reworked passive is like a Debit Card. [title]Cons:[/title] [.]No gap-closers; [.]Poor AoE skills([imgsmall=skills/draven/r.png](Whirling Death[R]) and [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png](Stand Aside[E]); [.]Very un effective CC([imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png](Stand Aside[E]); [.]Attack-Speed/Damage dependable; [.]Hard to be positioned in team fights; [.]Can be easily kited with Ability Power spells. The Pros and Cons are balanced, making the champion hard to master, as it has both weakness and strenght balanced out. Draven`s Stats In-Deph: [imgext=http://prikachi.com/images/838/6173838V.jpg]

I`ve changed my runes so I can farm more easily with Draven. I use flat Armor Penetration with a mix of normal flat AD to maximize my damage potencial. It is very vital to have a good mix between AD and Armor Penetration, since as I said earlier at the start ``This build is made for Mid-Late game``. So, what will you will gain from my variant: [.]Marks: Greater Mark of Attack Damage x7 - 6.65 AD Greater Mark of Armor Penetration x2 - 2.56 Armor Penetration [.]Seals: Greater Seal of Armor x9 - 12.69 Armor [.]Glyphs: Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist x9 - 24.3 Magic Resist(At level 18) [.]Quintessences: Greater Quintessence of Life Steal x3 - 6% Life Steal What do you get from all of this?: 6.65(7) Attack Damage 12.69(13) Armor 24.3(24) Magic Resistance 2.56(3) Armor Penetration 6%(6) Life Steal http://adf.ly/VintP to see OR picture below [imgext=http://prikachi.com/images/831/6562831N.jpg] [title]Other Choice:[/title] 4 Greater Mark of Armor Penetration and 5 Greater Mark of Attack Damage. 5 Greater Seal of Armor and 4 Greater Seal of Scaling Magic Resist. 9 Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist. 1 Greater Quintessence of Armor Penetration and 2 Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage. What do you get from all of this: 7.68(8) Armor Penetration 9.1(9) Attack Damage 7.05(7) Armor 31.5(32) Magic resist Now, this is better if you are up againts many AP champions that have heavy burst like [imgsmall=champ/akali.png][imgsmall=champ/annie.png][imgsmall=champ/fizz.png][imgsmall=champ/kassadin.png][imgsmall=champ/leblanc.png][imgsmall=champ/masteryi.png][imgsmall=champ/ziggs.png]. What do I loose? - Life Steal which plays an important role in your sustain in the early levels. What do I gain? - Attack Damage and A LOT more magic resist to resist AP mids and other AP champions. When should i use these runes? - When there is an AP jungler or top, except the mid.

[title]Passive: League of Draven[/title] When Draven catches a Spinning Axe, or kills a minion or monster, he gains one stack of Adoration. When Draven kills an enemy champion, he consumes his Adoration stacks and gains 50 gold + 2 gold per stack consumed. Draven loses half of his Adoration stacks upon death. Explanation: This reworked passive screwed Draven`s only single early-game damage trade. Usually if he had a counter, his passive actually out-damages his enemies in trades. The new passive, also called League of Draven now gives Draven a point called Adoration that is gained from each enemy minion, neutral minion killed or spinning axe catched. When he kills someone he loses all his stacks now(was half last patch) and gains 50+ 2 gold per consumed stack. This new buff on the passive will now compensate the lack of damage and will help you for sure to reach mid-game alive and even if you get 1 kill(lets say you are 0/4/3 but have 200+ farm) it will consume all the stacks(over 500+) and you will have more than 1000 gold(thats 3 kills or 2 full shutdowns) + the gold from the kill/shutdown. Thats enough for 1 BF Sword! So dont forget to farm, farm, farm! [title]Q: Spinning Axe[/title] Draven's next attack will deal bonus physical damage. This axe will ricochet off the target high up into the air. If Draven catches it, he automatically readies another Spinning Axe. Draven can have two Spinning Axes at once. Explanation: This skill is probably the best singe-target burst skill. This increases your next attack by a % of your base AD. The best thing - You can hit enemies with it even if you are blinded! [.]Using Q can help you farm early game. Use it on siege minions to deal dmg, else you wont get it very easily(gives you most gold(i think was 42g)) [.]Using Q damages tanks(its like a mini true-dmg shot), but I do not recommend focusing them 1st, its just to scare them off. [.]Using Q has its ways. The axe you throw must be catched. Here is an explanation about where it will land and why you must catch it: The manipulation has been changed. When you 1st hit an enemy and dont move the axe will land up to max 100 range near you. It means you must make 1 step minimum to be counted as valid and pick the axe. The next shot will land up to 150 range near you if you dont move. When moving, when you hit an enemy the axe will bounce on the way you are looking. The distance is calculated by: (the distance you ran) x50. Meaning, if you stepped 3 times during the axe`s flight, it will land at 150 range in the way you are looking at. Usually it will be marked to be pickuped at like 3-4 steps range(150-200) when running and hitting. By the way, when you hit a minion, using the tips I gave you, you can manipulate where the axe will land. For more info, go to the Video Section and watch the tutorial how to catch and manipulate a Spinning Axe! :) Mastering this skill is important. You will use it mainly in teamfights, and basicly when you attack in a teamfight you wont move a lot until the 2nd or 3rd sec, using [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] + [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] and when you catch your axe your [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] will refresh! [title]W: Blood Rush[/title] Draven gains increased Movement Speed and Attack Speed. The Movement Speed bonus decreases rapidly over its duration. Catching a Spinning Axe will refresh the cooldown of Blood Rush. This is your main steroid and escape skill. Draven gains a huge movement speed boost that decays over 1.5 seconds rapidly and attack speed that ends after 3 seconds. This is the most usefull skill I have seen with also a reflesh button from your [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png]. This skill is practically spammable and is your prime tool to chase enemies down. This skill should be used when you are doing a 1v1 or 1v2 with an enemy on low health. The Attack Speed boost increases Draven`s damage dramatically in a short duration, and if you can reflesh it you can even kill someone. The bad thing about this skill is that most people use it 1 time only. When they land their [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png], they must auto while they have their [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] on, and then rush to the axe while they have the movement speed boost. They loose about 100-200 health, but they reflesh their CD on [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png], while other carries or champions must wait. This is why Draven can kill them so fast and has a bigger advantage over them. Using this skill right will make your map awareness and range over them very promising. [title]E: Stand Aside[/title] Draven deals physical damage by throwing his axes, knocking aside and slowing his targets. Explanation: This skill should be used to start a fight between you and another carry. Lets give an example of me fighting a Vayne(Both on level 6). She is farming and standing in the minion wave. I use ([imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png])Stand Aside and then run normally to her and use ([imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png])Spinning Axe as my 1st blow. Then I catch it and use ([imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png])Blood Rush to go back and hit her again while she uses Tumble(Q) and runs away. I successfully land my 2nd ([imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png])Spinning Axe and then I catch it if it will land in a safe zone. If she initiates a fight, I wont catch my axe and wait 2 seconds for a new one. I still have activated [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] from earlier( I managed to keep up to her with it and lost the movement speed, but i still have the Attack Speed). I use ([imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png])Spinning Axe again and then catch it. If you dont catch it because she uses her E on you, continue to attack her, you will have another ([imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png])Spinning Axe up, since you have a low CD on your Q. She will eventually ult and Tumble(Q) again and start doing heavy damage on you. You will [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png][imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png](COMBO) her and she will be on super low health. Her ultimate has a movement speed boost, so you wont be able to catch up to her because your W is on CD. If you catch your Spinning Axe from earlier you can try to kill her like this, or just use ([imgsmall=skills/draven/r.png])Whirling Death and finish her off. Chances of killing Vayne though are 50-50, since she can dodge the 2nd strike from your ultimate with Tumble(Q) + she has a bonus true damage from her W(Silver Blots) [title]R: Whirling Death[/title] Draven hurls two massive axes dealing physical damage to each unit struck. Whirling Death slowly reverses direction and returns to Draven after striking an enemy champion. Draven may also activate this ability while the axes are in the flight to cause it to return early. Deals less damage for each unit it hits and resets when the axes reverse direction. Explanation: Useful in teamfights, do not use it early unless your team has a bad time. Basicly your ult does not do much dmg, but its useful to start and end a teamfight. Concentrating on where the enemy team is fleeing and using this ult on them can end the team battle, scoring the perfect ace. If you are going to die while using the ult, activate R again to reverse. When you die the axes will come back to you auto and if the enemy is on low health it will die, leaving a 1v1 trade. So what do you need to do in short: Use ([imgsmall=skills/draven/r.png])Whirling Death if the team is in a teamfight and they need it OR Use the ult when the enemy is at low health fleeing or when top lane lost to a Garen on 100 HP(Eg. Orianna recalling after killing the mid on 100HP, After a fail gank on bottom lane the enemies are on very low health and you just respawned).

[imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] + [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] is for harassing enemies that have lower range than you or do less damage to you. [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png] + [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] + [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] is used to make some heavy damage on an opponent OR to start a fight, giving you the priority of the 1st damage dealt. [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] + [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] + [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png] + [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] + [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png](And so on) is the usual way to attack enemies. Ultimate Combo: [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png](Run) + [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png](Hit) + [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png](Dont let them escape, forcing them to fight you) + [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png](Reflesh every time) + [imgsmall=skills/draven/r.png] (When he is AA(Auto-Attacking)) = "Tons of damage." -Phreak. [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png](for Speed) + [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] + [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png](To stop them from attacking or running) + [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png](Reflesh speed and AS) + [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] if you have it up + [imgsmall=skills/draven/r.png](to last hit). This is a very complex move that requires training youself to do it, but it doesnt mean by anything for you to do it exactly like I mentioned!

Level 1: Q From there on, max in the order R>Q>W>E Level 1: Up your [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] 1st. You need it always for either an invade or farming. [title]For the rest of the game:[/title] As most ultimates, this skill is leveled at 6,11,16. No use to now up it since its damage is a lot more than a few of your AAs. The damage is fairly high. Nothing wrong if you just level it as the other ultimates in the game. Your next priority is to max this skill every level you have a + available on it. This is your main damage tool, so if you don`t have it, you don`t deal damage. You will rely very much on this skill, since 60% of the stacks you will get will be from there. A melle minion is 3-4 Qs and a mage minion is 2-3Qs at level 1, so it will give you more stacks in early game, getting you prepared for mid-late game. Your viable skill. Without it, your nothing. This skill is leveled at level 2 and is maxed second (excluding ult), giving you huge movement speed that decays over 1.5 seconds and 3sec of attack speed. The attack speed gets higher every level you up this skill. That`s why its viable for you. The movement speed boost is not that much noticable since the higher it is, the faster it decays. This skill is leveled last because the cooldown is reduced by only 3-4 seconds, your slow is increased by 20%-30% only. Its good, yes, but when we compare it with your Q or W, this is nothing, compared to them. This skill is basically your slow and channeling ult STOP! sign :)

Draven can be queued with supports that pretty much give you more cc and buffs, rather than the healing support classes. In this section I have marked the enemies Supports with a mark for difficulty between 1 (EASY)-10 (INSANE). [title]Supports for Draven:[/title] - The best support that you can ask for. But rarely seen. Her polymorph and speed/shield buff will help you kill an opponent even if you don`t know how to fight and her Q's slow is so much that they won`t be able to run and just waste their time running and loose HP. Start: [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] - Amumu as support is rarely seen, but if he does not jungle he will mess everything up bot lane, leaving chaos and defeat ... for the enemy team :) Start: [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] - Grab + E is a pretty nice combo, but if you`re playing versus Graves or Varus, you might want to tell your support to pick something else. Start: [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] - This is the second best support for Draven. Her ranged E that makes a huge gap close and her WQR is worth helping you. She can practically stun both the support and carry at the same time with her Q and R. A great choice for a kill lane. Start: [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] - Classic support. Better with you than the jungle. He can taunt and harass hard and ult you if needed. Not very recommended on second thought. Start: [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] - His stun and shield that gives you a good sustain to survive and harass. Allthough he has only stun as CC, he has quite some good damage and heals you. His W gives you that extra bit of Armor that will help you in long battles and teamfights. Kill Lane for you! Start: [imgsmall=items/long-sword.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion2.png] - Fairly a good champion, but he can`t protect you since he is squishy, very much. His only effectiveness is his speed buff for some seconds. A bad matchup for Draven. Start: [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] - One of the best poke champions for you if you play aggressive. Just ask her to shield you and poke the carry. The enemy will just consume the shield, making you unscratched while harassing and backing off. Start: [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] or [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] [title]Supports that counter Draven:[/title] - He will get close your range that you need and the Carry will start hitting you, eventually. Play safe and ask your jungler for help. Then, you can focus him down and get the adc (not always Alistar 1st, talking about the early levels where he is very weak and doesn`t have ult up). Difficulty: 4/10(Medium-Easy) Start: [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] - He might be a problem for you. If you have tanky supports like Leona or Ali, Taric, ask them to stay in front of you. If blits grabs your support the carry will eventually attack the support. What must you do? - If the support is on low health use E on the enemy carry. If not, use E on blits. Difficulty: 6/10(Medium-Hard) Start: [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] - Nasty wind will tear you apart. Ward the bushes only that will help. Else, she is not a good counter for you. Play safe, farm and recall when needed. Difficulty: 2/10(Easy) Start: [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] or [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] - Too much stuns, too much roots, too much ults. You will fairly have a hard time laning versus her. Get some extra potions and ask your jungler to gang after level 6. She is easy to beat, but the adc won`t be pleased to hear that you are touching his support and will beat you up while you are stunned. The main reason she counters you is that you are unable to attack while you are stunned, losing HP and you can`t leech. Difficulty: 8/10(Hard) Start: [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] - Fairly not worth playing defensive. If she transforms you just back off and continue farming. Care of her slow though, it deals a lot of damage after her buff. Difficulty: 5/10(Medium) Start: [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] - You can easily dominate your lane. Mind something though - she can heal and damage you at the same time. If you dive 1v2 to kill a Twitch on low health or something, just don`t do it. She will heal him, damage you, turret will rape you and Twitch (or whoever) will kill you. Difficulty: 3/10(Easy-Medium) Start: [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] - Tresh is easy, but a lot of people do not know how to get away if he pulls you. The solution is: Use E when he pulls himself to you, use W to ignore unit collision and get away. Wasted some mana? Then, do not use Q for some seconds to refill. If you are doing bad in lane, either play safe near turret, or ward the 1st bush on your side. The vision range is a lot greater than his Q pull. Difficulty: 6/10(Medium-Hard) Start: [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] or [imgsmall=items/long-sword.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion2.png] - Nightmare for Draven. If you see him, then you will lose the lane. Never play versus Taric, unless you have a good support to help you! You must play extremely safe and be in the range of your mage minions ALWAYS. Gank other lanes that are being pushed or lane swap with your top to push top turret while top is holding (E.g. Cho'Gath, Aatrox, Shen) Difficulty: 10/10(Insane) Start:[imgsmall=items/elixir-of-fortitude.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png]

[imgext=http://prikachi.com/images/710/6148710I.jpg] Enemy laners are marked with a difficulty scale of 1 (EASY)-10 (INSANE) [title]Explanation on each one:[/title] Weak: - His E slow and Ult will wrap you up for your death. Be sure to not let him ult you, else you lose the distance control and you will die, because of it. Difficulty: 7/10(Medium-Hard) Start:[imgsmall=items/long-sword.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion2.png] Max:[imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] - Her range is higher than yours, deleting the distance rule. That`s why she counters you. Be sure to use E so you can have the same range as her. If she is near a wall, it`s always your pleasure. Avoid traps! Difficulty: 4/10(Medium-Easy) Start: [imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion5.png] Max: [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] - His W has a longer distance than you, making you useless during the duration. Difficulty: 5/10(Medium) Start: [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] Max: [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] or [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png](If his passive can kill you) - His ultimate is the only weakness against you. His passive will be a pain, but you won`t notice it much since he got nerfed hard. There aren`t many people playing him now, so you will rarely see him in lane. Difficulty: 8/10(Medium-Hard) Start:[imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion2.png][imgsmall=items/mana-potion.png] Max:[imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] - After her buff in human form, she is quite nasty. Her Q is a lot of damage and her E that jumps from you and going in a different distance makers her a hard opponent. For your luck, your Q will still hit her, even when blinded. Why? - your next AA (Auto Attack) will deal BONUS Physical damage, meaning you will still out damage her. Beware when she is in bird form, it can pretty much mess you up if you are on low health. Difficulty: 5/10(Medium) Start:[imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion2.png][imgsmall=items/mana-potion.png] Max:[imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] - His stun is really annoying and when he hits you with a charged AA you will feel the damage. Get Cleance and he won`t be a problem for you and you won`t have to worry if you get CCed in team fights. Difficulty: 4/10(Medium-Easy) Start:[imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] Max:[imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] and [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] 1-1 to be (same level or 1 level difference) Strong: - You counter everything of him, your range is higher, your damage is higher and you can kill him faster than him you. Easiest Lane yet. Just care in 1v1 to move so he will miss his Q a lot of times. Difficulty: 2/10(Easy) Start:[imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion2.png][imgsmall=items/mana-potion.png] Max:[imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] - Same as Ezreal, but be on the watch for her ult. When she 1st becomes invisible stay away from walls, when she attacks you do a burst combo of [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] + [imgsmall=skills/draven/r.png][imgsmall=skills/draven/r.png](Hit, Return). She won`t be able to dodge it and you will most probably kill her. A well-fed Vayne though, will kill you just as easy as you could kill her. Difficulty: 6/10(Medium) Start:[imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion2.png][imgsmall=items/mana-potion.png] to counter her Q Max:[imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] or [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png](if she harasses you hard) - The reason you counter her is because of your [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png]. Why? Her ult is the whole reason she counters you. You can cancel it with your [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png] and finish her off. Difficulty: 4/10(Medium-Easy) Start:[imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion5.png] Max:[imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] - You counter him, your E will target off his E (change direction of his E). Be cautious though, until level 6 you cannot defeat him. If he is well skilled, you might have to switch to passive play. Difficulty: 5/10(DEPENDS on support) Start:[imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] Max:[imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] - You have the advantage here until level 18. Her Rocket Jump is useless versus you, and she has a lower attack speed than you. Her ult will lead her to a huge advantage, but you will eventually steal out the lost HP and 1-2 attacks. The only way to counter you is if she is AP. Then, you will be in trouble. Difficulty if AD: 4/10 (Medium-Easy) Difficulty if AP: 8/10 (Hard) Start:[imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] - Easiest lane ever. Her slow won`t affect you. Her critical won`t be stacked because she will be trying to farm minions or leech up. She has no chance unless she has a support like [imgsmall=champ/taric.png][imgsmall=champ/leona.png]. Difficulty: 1/10(Easy) Start:[imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] to get the damage advantage Max: [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] if you can kill her easily or [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png] if she runs away too many times. - People argue who is the best Carry - Graves or Draven? Well, Draven is FAR the best Carry that can be seen out there, but he has his weaknesses also. Graves won`t be able to kill you, even if he tries so hard. He will harass you in the levels 1-5. Then, you can just kite him and kill him if you manage to harass him hard. His mana pool is lesser and costs much more than yours. Easy lane - Easy Game. Difficulty: 5/10(Medium) - NOTE: He is like you. It depends on skills who will win! Start:[imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion5.png] Max:[imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] - Hard lane. He will poke you too much with his E (it consumes the stacks) and invisibility, but his mana will eventually dry up. This is why you counter him. Also, when he is escaping you counter him thanks you your global ult that will punish and kill him, just because he dared you to try to kill him blindly. Difficulty: 4/10(Easy-Medium) Start:[imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] Max:[imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png]

Starting items: (If you need speed) or (Need Sustain) or (Need Damage) Sustainal Situational Items: Core items: . These 2 items will give you high kite and poke damage. The attack speed from the boots and your [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] stacks perfectly, while Vampire scepter provides you leech and AD that increases your damage and your [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png]'s damage as well. Game build goals:. Perfect build for Draven. Nothing else can actually give you the dmg and the sustain and the speed and critical. Just face it. Attack speed from boots, sustain and HUGE damage from The Bloosthirster AND Attack Speed bonus, 30% Crit chance, 5% movement speed and a good passive to ignore unit collision. This helps you chase enemies thought the minions, instead making complex movements and to let him get away. If you are rich and have good KDA ratio get a nice . After the change, it has been a very popular item and gives you 200 health, 50 AD that is 10AD more than Last Whisper, gives you 10% CDR and stacks with your Armor penetration passive. I don`t take Last Whisper because it doesn`t stack (I miss 10% damage if I get it, Black Cleaver gives me the 10% and when fully stacked - 12% more). If you are losing the lane here are some suggestions what to buy instead of the BC: [title]Defensive Items:[/title] What to pick instead of Black Cleaver slot? - Nightmare for opponents that focus you 1st (If Carry/solo top/jungler ad) - Good for a team fight if you get killed very early (Eg. focused 1st, could not escape, etc.) - Super effective for healing bonus and magic resist vs AP champions - VS HEAVY HEAVY magic attacks and need the sustain (Karthus Ult, Nida, Garen ULT, etc) NEW! - - Bonus AD and helps vs AP POKE champions (Kassadin, Lux, Teemo, etc.) So, after these items what should I buy? - If you haven`t ended your game still, here is what you will need to get in order to sustain you damage and get in the lead: . These 2 items stack each-other. Why is that? - Infinity Edge and Phantom Dancer give you 55% Critical Chance. Stacked with the other Phantom Dancer, it gives you 85% critical chance. The critical you make your Q or AA is increased by 50%(You don`t deal, e.g. 681 damage, you deal 918 damage (-10% because the bonus damage is reduced by armor by a percentage of the armor they have currently) Boots Upgrade: is a MUST BUY. If you don`t have map control get instead. A little trick - When you bought Furor, when you critically strike someone you gain the movement speed buff. Why? - your passive activates and its a single target damage-over-time. Basically, your build should be: [imgsmall=items/the-black-cleaver.png][imgsmall=items/infinity-edge.png](Small images mean that they can be changed with another item, Defensive or Offencive) [title]Sample of In-Game Final Builds:[/title] Balanced: Vs. Heavy Attack Damage: / Vs. ~~~~~YOU CAN SKIP THIS~~~~~ My Classic build: [item=berserkers-greaves][item=the-bloodthirster][item=phantom-dancer][item=the-black-cleaver][item=phantom-dancer][item=infinity-edge] My ,,Lazy Executioner'': [item=berserkers-greaves][item=the-bloodthirster][item=phantom-dancer][item=the-black-cleaver][item=phantom-dancer][item=the-bloodthirster] So, Infinity Edge or Blood Thirster? If you have very strong, but VERY strong pokes and fed carries as enemies or supports as tanks, you need IE, else Blood Thirster if they do not have tanks. You will not only deal critical with your [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png], but it will double critical and deal 50% more dmg. Example, of course: You critical hit a minion 450 dmg with [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png]. Your [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png]'s critical is multiplied by the critical chance, equal to 900 dmg. After that, add 50% more dmg from the Infinity = 1350 critical (I get around 1250-1950). With Infinity or Bloodthirster Draaaven can kill solo baron with 1 axe behind your back, literally or 3 shot an enemy (1.15 seconds). Tanks are a bit tricky, but you just hit and run and it will be OK (Avoid Amumu and Alistar and Taric :D). Now, let`s see what you get with the build: 2.3 AS (Passive) and with [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] you get 2.5 (MAX) = 10/10 380+ AD and with your [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] you get 600+. Also, you will EVERY TIME critical, meaning you have almost 1k every time minimum. That's a good combo with the IE and armor pene runes + defense reduction = 10/10 Movement speed = 10/10. I would clearly say that your 2 PD + [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] is enough to chase anyone, even with a CC, since you jog 2 axes and will always get [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] up. Consider this as a ,,Lazy Runner''. Defenses - 5/10. Defenses will be drastically low. If 5 people focus you, you will be dead. Its enough 1 stun and you will die like a pig 1v5. Your damage will heal you up, but you do not have that much life steal! Escape - 7/10. I don't like that Draven has a limited [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png] that is used to not only run, but to battle or harass and get the lead in an AD Carry battle, but if he used it and you fail, your [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] and [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png] will be on CD, and you do not have anything else to use. This is why I get [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] + [imgsmall=summoners/ghost.png] that work like [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png] and [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png], but they have a CD too, which is unfortunate. TIP: If turret is harassing someone while he follows you, use your [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png] + [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] to land a heavy blow, the turret will finish him off. Ignore this is you are vs Amumu, Malphite or Alistar when they have ult ready they can`t die in 1v1 Utility - N/A. Basicly, in all games I do not rely on that, so I keep in mind my 4 basic rules - Attack, Speed of attack (more damage) and sustain (Vampire). If you do not like them, then you will do it very soon :).

[title]Early game has started! (00:01)[/title] Short Explanation: You start with [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png] or [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png]. Both are sustainable items, but I prefer boots and 3 health potions if the enemy lane does not have any stunners or slowers, bit of much a big harass to you (See Champion Matchups). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In-Depth: Early game I am a bit defensive, but if I have an opportunity I harass my opponent. So, I pick up 1st Boots and 3 HP pots, usually because I like to keep my S2 Build. If they have long ranged carries (ashe/caitlyn/mf) get a [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png]. Now, farm until you get 1000 gold or so, then recall to get berserkers greaves. If you have luck and get 1st blood or an early kill rush a giant sword instead of Berserkers + [imgsmall=items/health-potion2.png]+[imgsmall=items/mana-potion.png] So here is in most simple explanation: [.]Get the starting items, which are [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png] or [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png][imgsmall=items/health-potion2.png][imgsmall=items/mana-potion.png]. [.]Try to not engage until level 3. If the jungler is ganging you can go at lvl 2 with your [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] + [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png]/[imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png], depends which you upgrade at the situation (long range = [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png], short range = [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png]). [.]When you are ready to attack go to the opposite side of your opponent from your support. Example: Ashe from the enemy is in the bushes. Your supp goes 1st to lure them. You go right from him, so it will be like this: 1 | 2 where 1 is Draven, | is support (nunu as example) and 2 is Ashe. That way they can`t either attack you, nor go to you since supp will CC them hard and you will have distance. If an enemy melee attacks you, just E them, use W and then attack hard. Keep at least 400 range distance while harassing hard to avoid CC and get yourself killed since Draven relies VERY MUCH on his distance between opponents. Draven is a VERY GOOD early gamer since his AD ratio is high and you can easily escape ganks, unless there are enemies with gap closers (xin, wu kong, kha, etc.). Currently, I will be still updating this guide so you can get a more creative picture of what i meant. I will be uploading a video soon, sorry for not showing it to you now. [title]IMPORTANT KEY ROLES - Early Game:[/title] [.]Harass very early if the enemy does not counter you or their support can`t harass you enough. [.]Try to invade if you have chances, get 1st blood with [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png]. [.]Try not to get out-minion farmed. [.]Get your Core sustain items that are [imgsmall=items/berserkers-greaves.png][imgsmall=items/vampiric-scepter.png] as fast as you can. [.]Help other team mates with your [imgsmall=skills/draven/r.png] as it can turn the tides of a battle and even give you a kill if lucky. [.]Have map awareness! This is the best thing you need to have! It can give you a lot of kills with your [imgsmall=skills/draven/r.png] only by spreading it in mid/top lanes and the jungle. [.]Do not turret dive! This is a suicide! [.]If you can`t handle your lane, use baits and/or tell your jungler to gank! [.]Try to avoid fed enemies, they will make your game an end. [.]Always carry a ward with you, just buy wards! Not only the support, but you as well! Just do it! [.]Push is your goal. Do not forget it. [.]A trick from me - to sustain your Q while pushing a tower, hit it if it`s about to go off. Stack [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png]'s that way. You can get up to 6 times [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] and then if an enemy tries to kill you, unleash the power! :D (Soon to put a Video) [title]Early game has come to an end! (29:59)[/title]

[title]Mid game has started! (30:00)[/title] The clock ticks! You will have by most of the time farmed up and have at least a [imgsmall=items/berserkers-greaves.png] and a [imgsmall=items/vampiric-scepter.png]. There are 2 ways to proceed now since I have added more ways to make a more ,,hybrid'' Draven with more capabilities to evolve into a new, massive killing machine. While Draven is still nerfed, the god of the game can`t take such damage, even if he gets 100 nerfs. Now, there are 2 alternatives ALWAYS! While other players that make guides and get them Featured/Approved put only what to get when you are fed, I will make a display of a losing game also and what items is considered best to help you survive the harsh enemies you will encounter on your way. As always, short explanation: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you are good (Core Build): [imgsmall=items/berserkers-greaves.png] [imgsmall=items/vampiric-scepter.png] + [imgsmall=items/bf-sword.png]> [imgsmall=items/the-bloodthirster.png] [imgsmall=items/dagger.png]x2 >[imgsmall=items/dagger.png]+[imgsmall=items/zeal.png]>[imgsmall=items/phantom-dancer.png] [imgsmall=items/the-black-cleaver.png] If you are losing the game (Core Build): [imgsmall=items/berserkers-greaves.png] [imgsmall=items/vampiric-scepter.png] + [imgsmall=items/dagger.png]x2 (Daggers are for [imgsmall=items/blade-of-the-ruined-king.png]) [imgsmall=items/bf-sword.png] > [imgsmall=items/the-bloodthirster.png] [imgsmall=items/dagger.png]x2 (you will have full inventory) > [imgsmall=items/dagger.png][imgsmall=items/zeal.png]>[imgsmall=items/phantom-dancer.png] Finally, when you finish the phantom, get a [imgsmall=items/bilgewater-cutlass.png]>[imgsmall=items/blade-of-the-ruined-king.png] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mid game is your Shine Spotlight. You can roam now into the lanes to get an assist or a kill! This will give you gold that is very valuable, but not only that - you help your teammates win the lane easier. Here is your main objectives in Mid Game: [title]IMPORTANT KEY ROLES - Mid Game:[/title] [.]Do Dragon (Drake) with your support and jungler. If the enemy team actively wards get a pink ward (yes, you!) [.]Roam with support if the enemy team does not push the lane too much. [.]Roam without the support if the enemy pushes the lane too much. [.]Push the lane now, buy a ward and put it in bush if your support forgets. [.]Try to get a kill and/or finish your BF sword. [.]Help other lanes that are losing, even if you are losing or will lose yours! It will be a 1-1 trade on a lane, not 2-1 (for the enemy) [.]Try to avoid being attacked/ganked by the jungler, even if you can kill him. It`s not wise. [.]Finish your sustain items. [.]Spam in /all chat how you can 1v5 their whole team.(Joke, do not do it, you will get killed :D) [.]Help your support ward. [.]Do your 1st Dragon if you have not done it yet (he spawns in 16:00 if I am not mistaken). [.]Push objectives. [title]Mid game has come to an end! (59:59)[/title]

[title]Late game has started! (60:00+)[/title] This is very important. Until now, you will have most of your build finished. Everyone will have core items until now, which means you cannot defeat them without help. You must be careful because even a 1v2 battle will be your end. Your goal is to finish your 2nd [imgsmall=items/phantom-dancer.png] and make an [imgsmall=items/infinity-edge.png]. Your goals are very important since if you make a mistake, you will have lesser chances to win this game. Everyone knows that in the Late Game if one of the teams make an ACE! they can tank turrets since their power becomes weaker with every minute you play. [title]Your Main Objectives:[/title] [.]Avoid Teamfights if you cannot win them. [.]Split Push is the key. [.]Avoid letting the enemy team make Baron. [.]Try to keep enemies trying to push a turret on some lane (Top, Mid, Bot) and defend, while someone like your Solo Top or Carry pushes their turret successfully. [.]Try to avoid being focused 1st in a team fight - even if you run away and hit 1-2 times, it`s better than being killed and get ACEd. Kill anyone than you think you can kill without getting focused down and killed. [.]Defend if your team is losing. Ward the Baron and Dragon and make an ambush. [.]Push and do not help your team in defense. Be cautious when pushing, look at the Mini-map every 5 seconds to see if an enemy is not on the Radar. Late game is the pushing objectives now. [.]Never defend an Inhibitor turret 1v5 when 4 of your teammates are DEAD. Let them get the turret and inhibitor, but they won`t be able to get the Nexus turrets. It`s better than a DEFEAT! sign in your face.

[title]Your Role:[/title] In a team fight you play a vital role. Your E must be good aimed to ,,divide'' literally the fighting teams into 2 groups. This is very important because if you split only your tank and supp vs adc + mid + supp you won`t have enough time to kill the solo and jungler with your teammates and they will just focus you and kill you. When you attack, always use your [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png] and [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png], even if you have to use them both. NEVER CATCH YOUR AXES, unless all of the enemies are fleeing and you must catch it only then, so you can catch up to them. Use your [imgsmall=skills/draven/r.png] in a global fight, to give advantage of your teammates. NEVER try to help your tank in a 1v5 battle. They will just make a double and your team will have NO DAMAGE. This will lead to a huge advantage to the enemies, even a DEFEAT for your team. If you get focused a lot just attack, back away, attack and so on to not get killed. After you die in a team battle, either your Mid will save the situation if he/she is fed, or you will die if he isn't. Next time you must make more actions and do not get focused a lot. If the team is rather tanky, focus the assassins of the enemy team and their mid 1st, then focus down their enemy adc and jungler. Its always good to run away and let the enemy chase the tanks and stuff and then let your team CC them and pickup the kills and save them, or at least most of them. [title]What to not to do:[/title] NEVER, but NEVER chase low health opponents (adc, mid, jungle), because if you enter in the mid of the teamfight the AoE skills and fighting will tear you apart. Just back away, and when they come back (100%), finish drop them with [imgsmall=skills/draven/r.png] or [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png][imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] combo to insta-kill and tire teams. DO NOT ever try to target the following people: [imgsmall=champ/alistar.png] - Will just stun, throw, knock you. [imgsmall=champ/blitzcrank.png] - His ult and shield can give him an advantage to open up a teamfight, not in your favour. [imgsmall=champ/chogath.png] - Nightmare ... literally. He will Q+W you, meaning you are helpless and be eaten by his R [imgsmall=champ/drmundo.png] - You mad bro? You need a Dr.?... [imgsmall=champ/garen.png] - Game Over. [imgsmall=champ/jax.png] - Look at my lamp, it shines ... Whoops! You get stunned by the light. PENTAKILL! [imgsmall=champ/kayle.png] - Oh, so you want to kill me? Ult ... Nope. [imgsmall=champ/leesin.png] - Oh, I am blind ... Here is a sandal in THA FACE fo YOU! [imgsmall=champ/malphite.png] - Rock Solid ... Just not worth it... [imgsmall=champ/maokai.png] - He will ult and the enemy team will rape you thanks to his ult's positioning. [imgsmall=champ/nautilus.png] - You should not have problems with him, but he can still mess you up with ult. [imgsmall=champ/shen.png] - Taunts you, kills you. Do not do it. You know why. [imgsmall=champ/tryndamere.png] - Ultimate OP. Demonblade tryndamere OP. [imgsmall=champ/volibear.png] - Throws, slows, bites. Too much damage. [title]More information:[/title] Added 24.02.13 - In team fights, if the enemy team has any leap or dash champions, stay away from them. If you see that your tank is going down, while he is running use [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png] to slow everyone down and [imgsmall=skills/draven/q.png] the closest enemy in your range, then run with your [imgsmall=skills/draven/w.png]. This will either make them stop chasing since the damage is high, or prepare to tower dive. While they are doing it, prepare a counterattack. Your [imgsmall=skills/draven/e.png] is useful for your tank since you will deny about 23% of the dmg in the next 1-2 seconds, which is very useful for a tank like Garen/Voli and by then your Support will nuke them, the AP carry will kill the carry and you will kill their AP carry. Then, victoriously, defeat their tanks and push.
