Hi, I'm Rincent the guy who made the Jungle Mundo guide. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go visit! I made this guide because I want people to understand that Kayle is not UNDERPOWERED or WEAK in any way possible. I don't want people to cry to Riot about reworking her or buffing her more than she needs. Kayle is one of the best top laners in the game. Not as safe of a pick as Udyr and not as strong of a lane as Kennen, but definitely a top tier solo top laner. Further more, her late game is INSANE if built correctly and played correctly. This guide is here to show you guys how to play the mighty Kayle top! Master her and you will find most lanes to be EASY. Read the whole guide and you will learn a lot of tips on becoming a better AD carry and a top laner. I have so many laning tips in my guide since I believe it's the most important part of learning to be a good player in soloque, so make sure you look around my guide when you need help! If all else fails, ask me! This guide is not only a Kayle guide, but also a really effective general guide!

In soloque, you want to to be able to CARRY your team and win even if your teammates are so bad that they'll go 0-5. Well, how the hell do you handle baddies? You want to be able to DOMINATE early game. You want to have a huge presence in the game by taking objectives and crushing your lane partner. Kayle is perfect for that job so if you can master her, you will win! Step 1: Learn to destroy your lane by either doubling his cs, or killing him at least 3 times without dying. Or both! Step 2: Take objectives like top tower then go mid and take that tower and/or gank lanes. Around this point, people become overaggressive and start dying a lot. DON'T DIE. You're worth more than killing an enemy by far! Step 3: Prepare your build for late game. You're not allowed to buy bad late game items like [imgsmall=items/guinsoos-rageblade.png][imgsmall=items/hextech-gunblade.png][imgsmall=items/madreds-bloodrazor.png][imgsmall=items/nashors-tooth.png]! You may hate me for saying this, but they're TERRIBLE ON KAYLE! Well less for [imgsmall=items/guinsoos-rageblade.png] since it is fairly cheap and has great stats, but even then, there are better items! Step 4: Solo as much of their team as you can and get your team to follow your orders. Everyone will listen to the guy who goes 11-0-5 and doesn't sound like a dbag. Step 5: WIN!(don't try to stall the damn game if you're striving for Elo!) I have so many laning tips in my guide since I believe it's the most important part of learning to be a good player in soloque, so make sure you look around my guide when you need help! If all else fails, ask me!

RED: ATTACK SPEED x9 if not ATTACK DAMAGE x9 YELLOW: ARMOR FLAT X9 NO ALTERNATIVES. BLUE: FLAT MR x9 if not FLAT ARMOR x9 or ATTACK SPEED X9 *MR is a must against the following: Singed, Rumble, Chogath, Shyvanna, Udyr, Kennen, Any other Magic/AP. QUINTS: ATTACK DAMAGE x3 if not ATTACK SPEED x3 or ARMOR x3 or MR x3 or HP x3. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MY RUNES: [imgext=]

[title] Passive: Holy Fervor[/title] [number]Kayle's basic attacks against enemy champions now reduce their armor and magic resistance by 3% for 5 seconds (stacks up to 5 times)[/number] [title]Explanation:Mediocre passive. You will not notice this til later in the game.[/title] [title] Q: Reckoning[/title] [number]Blasts a target, dealing 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 (+100% of bonus attack damage and +100% of ability power) magic damage and slowing its movement speed by 35% for 4 seconds. While the target is slowed, Kayle inflicts 6/7/8/9/10% increased damage to them. Cooldown 8 seconds Cost 70/75/80/85/90 mana Range 650[/number] [title]Explanation:VERY strong nuke and slow. The level 1 slows as mcuh and as long as the level 5 version! The scaling on this is very high, but later on it is just used for the slow and amplified damage. Early on use this like Gangplank's Q mixed with some E for huge harass. Max this first! It's your biggest nuke.[/title] [title] W: Divine Blessing[/title] [number]Blesses an allied champion, healing them for 45/85/125/165/205 (+35% of ability power) health and increasing their movement speed by 15/17/19/21/23% for 2.5 seconds. Cooldown 15 seconds Cost 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 mana Range 1000[/number] [title]Explanation:NOTE THAT IT HAS 1000 RANGE! You can use this to save an ally from afar or to help an ally chase with a blessing from afar. In lane only use to escape ganks or to get out of certain gap closers like Jax leap+counterstrike or to secure kills. DONT SPAM THIS SKILL USE IT VERY SPARINGLY.[/title] [title] E: Righteous Fury[/title] [number]Kayle's attacks strike at range. These attacks splash, dealing an additional magic damage to her target and nearby units take 20 / 25 / 30 / 35.5 / 40% of her attack damage plus magic damage. The total bonus damage is 20/30/40/50/60 base damage plus (+20% of ability power). Cooldown 16 seconds Cost 45 mana[/number] [title]Explanation:The skill that makes Kayle so strong in top lane. It gives her a ton of early damage and she becomes range which means you'll be kiting easily. Later in the game, this becomes a tool to make you an AD carry and for you to farm efficiently.[/title] [title] R: Intervention[/title] [number]Bathes Kayle's target in a holy light, rendering them immune to all damage for 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds. Cooldown 90seconds Cost 100 / 75 / 50mana Range 1200[/number] [title]Explanation:This is what makes or breaks Kayle. A good Kayle would have godlike ults which can easily negate tons of damage, whereas it can also be completely useless and negate as much as a Janna's shield. Also, this let's you tower dive and/or 2v1 so learn to use it in lane.[/title]

MAX R MAX Q MAX E THEN MAX W. >>> Start with E-Q-W then MAX Q and MAX E. Against tough matchups, can max W over Q.

Core: . Other Items: that can replace . Get Black Cleaver if your team is full of physical damage. It'll be giving them a free LW by shredding all that armor. Also get it instead of IE if your AD carry is dominating hard! Get Bloodthirster if you feel that you're lacking sustain in skirmishes. Else, always get Infinity Edge! It gives you the most damage. Afterwards: . You need this, it will let you be extremely mobile(PD+W) and it goes really well after your main damage item. From here on: Last Whisper For maximal damage. Guardian Angel For late game survival. Quicksilver Sash For big CCs or anything that shuts you down. Bloodthirster For damage and sustain. Situational: If you really need for lane phase. I really hate to rely on this item and rather get Doran blades, but sometimes this is needed. A VERY good item with amazing stats and utility. Could instead of IE similarly to Corki. If you know the enemys will tend to get in your face, trinity force is a very viable item. If you're hitting enemies with good protection and no real threat like Mundo in your face 24/7, get IE instead. For sustain after IE. It's the best sustain item to get other than Bloodthirster which costs a ton. If you want a strong midgame. Honestly, I never get this item because it severely delays your late game carrying, but it's amazing midgame. WTF? TIAMAT? Yes tiamat! It's a fun item with very strong stats. I also really never get this item, but it's great for pushing and scales with crit/attackspeed for a cheap price, so you don't really lose much out of getting this unlike [imgsmall=items/nashors-tooth.png][imgsmall=items/madreds-bloodrazor.png]. CAN be gotten if you have trouble against lanes like [imgsmall=champ/rumble.png][imgsmall=champ/kennen.png][imgsmall=champ/singed.png], but I HIGHLY suggest you work on these matchups. Getting wits delays your end game more than [imgsmall=items/wriggles-lantern.png] and doesn't scale very well with crit. The only real stats you're getting out of this late game is the attack speed, but for a whole 2150 gold! Don't get: or or or or . For the same price as Hextech Gunblade or Bloodrazor, you can get Infinity Edge WHICH GIVES A CRAP TON MORE LATE GAME. No reason to get them over IE. This is the reason WHY PEOPLE THINK KAYLE IS UNDERPOWERED. Nashor's tooth is just weak. It costs as much as Black Cleaver, but doesn't provide the same damage output and benefits to allies. Ionic Spark provides no real damage and is a weak item in general. AP Kayle is weak.

[imgext=] Check it out! Me getting first blooded because of lag, but still end up completely crushing top! My friend Studio is casting this! Btw I'm a big troll in this viedo so don't hurt me for it. I have so many laning tips in my guide since I believe it's the most important part of learning to be a good player in soloque, so make sure you look around my guide when you need help! If all else fails, ask me!

Kayle fits the top lane really well. In order to have a viable top lane, the champion must have a few requirements. They must be good at: Surviving ganks.(renekton, riven) Pushing lane.(chogath, singed) Having good sustain and/or mobility.(vladimir, udyr) Strong lane vs common top lanes. (kennen, rumble) Kayle fits all these requirements and some of them to a higher extent. Her lane vs other tops is insanely strong. If played properly she can beat just about any champion. Her ability to pressure is very high especially around midgame. She also has no trouble if her lane happens to be shoved. With the buff to W and her ult, she can easily slip out of ganks or even 2v1. Her laning phase is comparable to the current best top laners like renekton, udyr, kennen, vladimir. In teamfights she excels in many categories. She is most similar to Ashe, a high damage dealer with tons of utility. Her passive grants her whole team additional damage. Her Q is both a slow and a nuke. Her W is a very long range speed boost and heal which is really powerful in helping your initiator or helping your ad carry close gap from a tanky dps. It can also be used to chase in small skirmishes. Combined with her slow it's very easy to catch out of position enemys. When built and played correctly she does as much damage any other AD carry. The biggest asset of Kayle is how powerful her ultimate is if used properly. It can easily turn a fight completely. Sometimes it can be used to bait enemy spells. I have so many laning tips in my guide since I believe it's the most important part of learning to be a good player in soloque, so make sure you look around my guide when you need help! If all else fails, ask me!

Learn every matchup! The more you play Kayle, the stronger she is and the better a player you are. Being good at Kayle comes through experience, not skill(well not as much). Tips: Don't be afraid to harass early on. No champion level 1 can trade with Kayle so take advantage of that! Don't be afraid to give up creeps for harass. If the enemy comes in for a last hit, harass the hell outta him til he's clearly out of range. You might lose a creep or two in the process, but the enemy loses MUCH MORE! Don't take free shots. If a gangplank Qs you, don't run back. He can't do anything unless he comes into melee range so hit him back until he backs off or has Q up again. Kite melees. See a Riven dashing at you? Q her and back up til you make some distance and/or she begins to back off. THE MOMENT SHE BACKS OFF TURN ON E AND GO FOR HITS. When champions show their backs to you, thats a HUGE opening. Don't be too aggressive. If a Nidalee leaps at you with 300 hp in cougar form, there's a good chance she's trying to bait you in for a GANK. Unless they're a total idiot, don't go for an aggressive low hp champion until 6. When you're 6, just go for the kill and kill her while your ult is up if you get ganked. Be SUPER AWARE of ganks. Top lane is a snowball lane and a death in certain situations can easily lose the game. It is also the lane that gets GANKED THE MOST and don't be surprised if you end up getting CAMPED. Learn to avoid ganks by knowing when to be aggressive. Always keep a distance between you and your enemy unless you know if you can handle a 2v1. Poke here and there with E and Q, only commit if you know you're safe. I.E Jungle is bot and Mid is in lane. Learn to FREEZE lanes. Freezing a lane means holding the ranged creeps before a turret leaving the enemy wide open for ganks and making him forced to commit for creeps. Also, if they just died or backed, you deny them the creeps that are quickly dying from the enemies larger wave. Learn to PUSH lanes. Pushing a lane is a must when the enemy has just DIED or BACKED and your lane is already PUSHED. You want to shove it to the enemy tower to deny them. Also, push lane if you know the jungler is elsewhere. It pressures the lane forcing them to stay in lane and makes it hard for them to last hit. Learn to TOWER DIVE AS KAYLE. Yes, you're allowed to do the forbidden tower diving as Kayle. If you see that the enemy JUNGLER or MID is not anywhere near top, you're allowed to tower dive at level 6. MAKE SURE THE ENEMY IS HALF OR LOWER HP! When the enemy is open, you run in with ghost, and immediately do the following: ignite+q+ult+e. After that, just auto attack til kill. Last few tips: Always keep 3 pots in your inventory at this point of the game. You want to be able to stay in lane since Kayle is so strong early on. Don't take the tower too early. Kayle's roam is good, but you want to at least have level 6 and t2 boots before you do.

Kayle can potentially beat anyone; it all come down to mechanical skill and knowledge. : Easy Always keep a pink ward to stop her from shroud harass. Destroy her level 1 because she only has 1 range spell and it's VERY weak. Level 6+ ult when she ignites(means she's committing). : Easy Hard to kill past 6, but easy to deny. Avoid his skillshots and just Q+E to death every time he comes close to last hit. BE WARY OF GANKS. A [imgsmall=champ/chogath.png] would not engage you unless he's 2v1ing. If he engages you, it's obviously a gank. : Easy? Haven't faced much [imgsmall=champ/fiora.png], but she's one of the weakest lanes, so possibly very easy. Your ult completely nullifies her ult. Q her when she dashes at you and run until she turns around then IMMEDIATELY E AND RETURN BLOW. : Average-Hard Can easily be a hard lane if played wrong. Harass early as usual, but be careful for early commits. Avoid fighting an all out with him unless you're clearly at advantage. If he dashes at you, use Q and walk opposite direction of him and do as much damage as possible with E while avoid getting hit. : Average-Hard If you get hit by all his skills, he'll crush you in lane. Learn to read his skillshots they're fairly easy to dodge. Try not to let him last hit and harass him whenever his shield is down. Once he gets catalyst, it's very hard to stop him. : Easy No challenge here. You SHOULD NOT lose this lane! If he Qs you, go all out and harass him. : Easy-Average He has no gap closers, but can run really fast. If he does run at you, Q him and keep distance until it wears off or until he turns around then IMMEDIATELY E AND RETURN BLOW. Time ult with his ult correctly and you'll nullify a ton of damage. When he ignites, it's usually a big sign of incoming doom! : Average Very tricky champ. Her gap closer makes it hard to click on time. Q on dash and then IMMEDIATELY E AND RETURN BLOW. Ult for ignites and harass early. She's very weak pre-4. : Average His spells are easy to dodge, so unless he lands them, he's very easy. However, if he does land them it can be a bit tough because of the amount of burst he can deal. Don't let him get away with his E+Q+passive. If he does all that on you, return fire because he doesn't deal much damage outside of those. Make sure to keep HP high and avoid his combo. Time ult with his ult. He does a ton of burst so it's easy to negate all of it.(E+Q+R+passive) : Hard Takes a lot of timing to go against a [imgsmall=champ/jax.png]. If he uses his counter-strike. Q and IMMEDIATELY keep distance from him. Don't get hit by the stun or you lose a ton of hp and he will slip away without losing much. However, once his stun is gone, IMMEDIATELY E AND RETURN BLOW. A good jax can counter Kayle, but at same time, it is completely possible to beat a Jax. He is most vulnerable before he has all his skills(pre-4). This is the best time to get ahead of him and hopefully win lane. If losing lane and he's CONSTANTLY using leap and all his spells at you(this happens very often with Jax), call for a gank and bait him. : Average-Hard Feel free to harass, but make sure you maintain high HP and don't take too much free shots. She can be REALLY annoying with Q harass, but don't let her get away with using E at you. If by chance she uses shunpo on you, bring on the pain! Ult her ult obviously! But don't sit there too long because her ult lasts longer than yours. : Average Very similar to [imgsmall=champ/katarina.png]. Very easy to harass, but don't let him trade back with you. Most smart Kennens will try to play safe against you, so just keep him from auto attacking minions and farm until you can find an opening. Ult on his ult and kill him. His ult will only hit you 3x which is more than enough for your ult to block. : Average-Hard Probably the most annoying lane you will face. Many players will have trouble against Lee Sin top, but if you play it calmly and keep an eye on him, he's actually easy. Do not get in his AoE range and dodge his Qs. Whatever you do, keep distance from him! Try to shut him down if possible, else it becomes impossible. If you are losing, get lifesteal and just farm the lane and wait for ganks. Sometimes, you might need to MAX [imgsmall=skills/kayle/w.png] first if you know you're going to lose lane. Know that if he misses his Q, he has no real way of hurting you. USE THIS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE! When I see a Lee Sin use Q and miss or hit a creep, I turn on E and hit him as much as I can til he runs to his tower. By repeating this, he should hit really low and become afraid of you. If you manage to pull this off, it can snowball your way. : Easy-Average NEVER fight him in melee range. It's as suicidal as fighting Lee in melee range. His ground slam shuts you down COMPLETELY, so keep distance then IMMEDIATELY E AND RETURN BLOW. : Easy Don't let him get in creep range. As simple as that! If he does, punish him all the way. : Average-Hard When he goes for last hits, harass as much as you can. At higher levels, he get's harder and harder. When he runs at you with wither, Q and back off til it wears off. Once his wither is on cooldownIMMEDIATELY E AND RETURN BLOW. : Easy Pre 6, harass nonstop! Don't let her last hit and if she decides to stay too long, kill her! She's very squishy and easy to kill pre 6. Once she hits 6, start to keep distance, but continue to harass. If she goes for a burst combo and you can kill, ult to block the whole combo(cat QWE), and kill! If she leaps at you that means her leap is on CD and she is in melee range. Very easy to kill! : Hard Pre 6, he's Easy-Average, but once he hits 6, you're forced to play very defensively. Unless you can dominate him early on, he'll be a pain to lane against. Early on just avoid axes and keep away from his reckless swing range. If he lands it, DO NOT LET HIM GET AWAY WITH IT! You MUST return at least 3 hits, although you could get in more shots depending on how well you play. A good olaf is extremely hard to deal with! Do your best to avoid axes. : Hard There is very little you can vs Pantheon since he's one of the strongest laners in the game. However, that doesn't mean you're completely helpless! Generally, he'll try to spear harass and every so often head in with his stun and heartseeker or autos. What you can do is try to trade back in middle of spears. After he uses his spear, he can't hurt you besides leaping on you. If he does leap at you, Q him and move back a bit and then begin hurting him with E. The key to winning against a pantheon is to be able to come even or if possible, win trades. It can be very hard if the enemy pantheon is good. Don't stay near brush, or he'll brush camp and just chuck spears at you. Also MAKE SURE YOU CARRY A LOT OF POTIONS! If he decides to go even more aggressive by using spears and stun, call for a gank because it makes him extremely gankable if hes leaping at you every few seconds. If all else fails, push/farm out your lane and go roam. Pantheon is weak late game and isn't a great pusher allowing you to roam a bit more than most champs. : Average? Haven't played against much good Poppys, but it's be easy so far. Very easy to harass and when a Poppy commits, use ult to negate most of the burst. Never fight a max HP Poppy. You have very little chance to fight an all out against Poppy. your best bet is to weaken her til she is low enough to kill. : Hard Very strong laner and tons of damage to get in and out. When harassing, don't be near your own creeps or he'll dash in, burst, and dash out. Make sure to harass him pre-3(before he gets his combo) and if uses double dash offensively, Q then IMMEDIATELY E AND RETURN BLOW. Very hard to pull this off if he does the in-burst-out combo. Remember, RENEKTON COMES IN BURST. This means that AFTER his burst, he does crap. This is what I'd call an opening, where you should punish him hard for trying to burst you. You have about 10 seconds after his burst before he can really hurt you again. Just stay out of his Q range. Also, if you can avoid his burst, you will come out far ahead. : Easy I've denied Rivens so hard, that she might possibly be one of the easiest ones to face. Simply never let her come in to cs. If she does, Q and E hit until shes clearly out of the range. You should be able to get at least 5 autos in leaving her with half hp. Use Q a bit more conservatively til 5+, unless you know you will get 5+ autos in. : Hard For me he's Easy-Average since I've faced many good rumbles, but if it's a REALLY good rumble, it might be hard. Many people don't know how to face a Rumble. He only does a ton of damage when he is both AUTO ATTACKING AND USING FLAME! Until he is lv7+, his flame does crap damage and he is very easy to harass. As easy as Riven, but MUST avoid his skillshot and DO NOT get in melee range. If he happens to land a skillshot on you, Q him then IMMEDIATELY E AND RETURN BLOW. : Average? Shen always banned so I rarely face shens, but the ones I've faced in normal games are really easy. However, shen could potentially be a problem with his shield and Q. Very straightforward fight, just continue harassing unless he runs at you. Then Q and IMMEDIATELY E AND RETURN BLOW : Easy-Average Same as Garen. She runs at you, Q. She turns, IMMEDIATELY E AND RETURN BLOW. She has no real way of doing damage to you. : Average Almost the same as Garen and Shyvanna, but you MUST NOT GET FLUNG. Getting flung will make you take a ton of damage and leaving him with high hp. Kill him early or he will be impossible to kill at higher levels. : Average-Hard? I don't face much Swains so it was hard to avoid his spells, but even after dying many times, I was able to come out ahead in trades. Should be easy if his skills are dodged and don't take free hits. Very easy to take free hits against Swain so try to avoid that! : Average Easy to harass, but very dangerous if he commits at higher levels. If he comes in for CS, just blow his HP up. Most talons build fairly squishy and doesn't do a whole lot of damage. Remember, he does damage in BURSTS meaning that after his BURST he's useless. Use this as your chance to deal TONS of damage to push him out of lane or to not mess with you anymore. Try to time your ult with his ult. His ult lasts 2.5 sec and yours last 2 sec so use it around 1 second in. : Average-Hard Can be a real pain to deal with mainly because of blinding dart and quick move. Well he's a pain for anyone really. To deal with him, harass him when he's about to last hit. Don't let him get more shots than you in trades. Basically play it as if it was a melee vs melee or range vs range. The first person to turn around will take more damage and the person going in for last hit will get hit. If he blinds you, Q and run, you can't damage him while blinded so wait til it wears off then go beat him down. : Easy-Average I'd range him from easy to hard depending on how good both players are. Trynd can easily beat Kayle, especially if he's running heal/ignite or exhaust/ignite, but at same time, he's VERY easy to kite. To play against Trynd, don't let him build rage. He builds rage by last hitting and/or being near creeps, so treat him like[imgsmall=champ/mordekaiser.png] early on. Watch out for commits. Trynd with no escape summoners(flash or ghost) will generally try to spin in and go all out, so make sure you Q him right after he spins and make distance then IMMEDIATELY E AND RETURN BLOW. You must keep up the harass and don't let him farm or build up rage. He's like [imgsmall=champ/singed.png] in lane so try not to get close to him and try not to let him farm. When he ults simply run until it fades then ignite when it's 1 second left so he doesn't heal up with bloodlust and finish him off. Also try to avoid getting hit by his chicken slow spell as it really hinders you. You have a slow, a movespeed boost, and ult to keep him away from you til his ult fades. : Average The key to fighting Udyr is to beat him down. He comes in for CS? Beat him down. He charges at you? Slow him til his buff runs out or he turns around and IMMEDIATELY E AND RETURN BLOW. Very easy to lane against, but also scary to face. Don't let him tiger your face or you'll take tons of damage and he'll run off with turtle stance. : Easy-Average Vlad is extremely weak early game. Push him away from the wave and perma zone him early on. Watch out for ganks and try to keep punishing him. Don't be afraid of him pre-6. If you're taking free shots from Vlad, you're playing the matchup wrong. The way to fight Vlad is to just keep hitting him and press on him. His Q has a fairly high cooldown and he has no real damage early on to trade with you. If played correctly, he'll be behind quite a bit making him very easy to beat 6+. Save ult for his ult. When he ignites and ults, pop your ult when his burst hits. : Easy Warwick has 1 damage spell(Q) and nothing else. If he runs up to creeps, hit him till he runs off and repeat this. However, be careful when he hits 6 because if jungler comes and he ults, you're in a dangerous spot. You should have little trouble zoning him early and preventing him from healing off creeps. If he manages to land a Q on you, don't let him get away with it. Chase him down and keep hurting him til he's in tower range. He has nothing to return besides Q which is in cooldown. : Easy-Average Wukong like most gap closing champions([imgsmall=champ/talon.png][imgsmall=champ/irelia.png]) will come in bursts. Early levels, you should have no trouble zoning him. When he gets all his spells, he'll likely dash and slam you with Q then run off. While he's running off, make sure you HIT him with everything because all his spells are in cooldown and he won't be able to do anything to defend against it. If he repeatly does this, keep going back at him, you'll win every trade. : Average-Hard Yorick is different than most matchups you'll face. He's one of the few champions that can actually trade back with Kayle. But DON'T BE SCARED. If he ghouls at you, let him ghoul at you and beat him down with Q and E for it. However, DO NOT GET HIT BY HIS Q GHOUL. In other words, don't let him get in melee range and your trades will be fairly even. It's fine to trade with him because in the long run, you're denying him and he's forced back to play defensive. Also make sure to get a vamp scepter after a doran blade so you can keep up with trades and sustains. Go for the kill when he's low health since he can't burst hard enough to really take you down and he only wins in long trades. Carry lots of pots. : Average-Hard I'd put him in hard if he had a competent jungler. He is EXTREMELY dangerous with jungler ganks. He's one of the hardest top lanes to face with jungler pressure. Know that if he's charging at you, STAY AWAY FROM THE RIVER BRUSH AND Q SLOW HIM. Theres a good chance the jungler is waiting for the toss. However, in a 1v1 case, Kayle dumps on Volibear. Volibear can't trade with Kayle and Kayle can efficiently kite Volibear. Be aware of Volibear+jungler! He's also very hard to kill/dive so just zone and farm and be patient for the kill.

As a top laner, you must learn what junglers are capable of. Top lane is the lane that snowballs the hardest and can only really recover from assistance of your jungle. Knowing when to be aggressive and when to be passive is very hard for a top lane player. Here are some junglers you should know about: : The one of the two most dangerous jungler for any lane. BE WARNED FROM LEVEL 1. There's a good chance alistar might sneak behind and gank you. The chances are higher when you're on the purple side and less on the blue side. If he ganks you, use your flash. You have very little chance of surviving a gank without flash. You're forced to play passive all game, but dont fret! Alistar jungle means their team doesn't have a whole lot of damage late game and starts to fall off like Shaco. Your best bet is to play it safe until you see Alistar somewhere on the map or somewhere far from top. Use that chance to do whatever you can to the enemy lane. Think of this as an opening for the enemy. : My King jungler! He's not that scary from level 1-3 unless he starts red, but when he's level 6+, you should be a bit more careful. Just ward and you should be fine from thereon. If he attempts to gank you with low hp, kill him! Also, his cleavers can easily be avoided, so try not to let him land his cleaver or your good as dead. : Very powerful ganks against Kayle. Since Kayle has no dashes/escapes and only a movespeed buff, it can be very hard for Kayle to survive. Watch for level 2 ganks, but other than that, watch for his level 6+ ganks. He's not that threatening without ult/early gank. If you can weaken your enemy enough, you can 2v1 and possibly get away. : Lee is very simple, just don't let him land his Q and you're safe. Also, don't try to 2v1 with Lee sin because his slow can effectively shut you down. : Not very scary, but always maintain high hp. Try to get your enemy low enough so Maokai will have trouble ganking you. : A scarier version of Maokai. Make sure to ult his ult and to avoid his hooks. : If he's anywhere near your lane, know not to go for kills unless you have your jungler to bait it as well. : Very similar to Alistar. Make sure to play it very passive until you have a ward then you can start messing with shaco a bit. Don't get too overconfident and do anything risky unless hes seen on the map. ///: Don't worry too much about them as long as you have a ward. They rarely early gank, but if they do, burn flash. You might have to play slightly safer, but just call your jungler to come if they go for an early gank. Most of these champions aren't meant to early gank meaning that they'll be gimping themselves by doing so.

So now that you've learned to lane and hopefully managed to go 5-0 in lane and/or double the enemies cs, you should focus on objectives. Dragon still up? Go help your team secure dragon in a 4v5! Top is pushed and tower is down? Go help gank bot! Don't be afraid to tower dive if you know the enemies are not around! ALWAYS ult before taking tower shots. Make sure you tell your teammates ahead of time to tower dive and that you have ult. Never ult when you're half dead which most Kayles do. Don't be afraid to "waste ult" because it has short cooldown. Taking 500 less damage from tower and/or enemy hits is much better than not "wasting ult". Push towers down! You want to take bot and mid tower after you've taken top. Just make sure your own lane isn't dying as well. Keep up farm to prepare for late game. Remember, you're still an "ad carry" with this build. Being an AD carry means you're the primary damage in your team late game. You want your end game to be strong!

By now you should DEFINITELY have Infinity Edge and hopefully a second item. If not, work on your early and mid game. When your team engages, always [imgsmall=skills/kayle/w.png] the initiator to give your ally that extra boost. If you're getting initiated on or the fight has already started, make sure to use [imgsmall=skills/kayle/w.png] to kite for you or your carries. When you see a burst of damage coming, IMMEDIATELY [imgsmall=skills/kayle/r.png]. Don't save this til they're almost dead. Use it right after the enemy starts their big combos. You see an Annie drop tibburs? Theres a good chance everyone else will lay their spells there. You see an AD carry focusing your carry? Ult the carry! Your ally just got hooked by Blitzcrank? They'll throw EVERY spell on that ally. Try focusing the same target as your carries. Your passive and Bcleaver(if you have), will MELT the carries. Learn to play as an AD carry and you're sure to win! Always go for the closest target! Don't go focusing down their caitlyn in the back unless you can somehow flank them(usually a bad idea). Prioritize getting out of harm over killing someone!

Q1-Having trouble with X lane as Kayle. How do I deal with this matchup? Work on the matchup with a friend or play more games and when you face that matchup, find out your mistakes. The more you play the matchup, the easier it is. Kayle can beat any matchup if played correctly. Another way out is to max W and/or run heal/exhaust instead of ignite and don't play out of your safety zone. I personally don't like this method because you won't learn to win the lane that way, but I used to do this whenever I had to deal with a lane I didn't know how to face. Trust me, I've played thousands of games as Twitch against many matchups, and they're not easy for a champion like Twitch. Now I know how to face each matchup. Protip against some champions: Don't run in straight line vs skillshot champs. It's so easy to dodge champs like Kennen and Lee Sin, but so many people get hit by their spells CONSTANTLY! Know the basic cooldowns of every champion. You should know that a Vlad can't spam Q at low levels, but can spam Q like nothing at higher levels. By knowing this, you will know WHEN ENEMIES HAVE OPENINGS! When they have an opening, it's your chance to HURT THEM AND FORCE THEM TO BACK OR BURN POTS. It also puts a psychological affect on them. Most players don't know what Kayle is capable of and will suddenly be scared when they lose half their HP from that 1 harass. They will play it safe and you ultimately win the lane! I have so many laning tips in my guide since I believe it's the most important part of learning to be a good player in soloque, so make sure you look around my guide when you need help! If all else fails, ask me! Q2-I just checked your Kayle stats/Elo, you suck what makes you think you know how to play Kayle? You also barely play Kayle. Most of my Kayle games are from normals, other accs, and small tournies like Go4LoL. My Kayle stats are actually pretty amazing in normals/small tournies. In Go4LoL my Kayle is probably something like 15-2 only losing in finals and semifinal. I play Kayle at 2k+ Elo like Mundo so it's not like I started from 1500. If I had a 60% winrate at 2k+ Elo with ANY champion, I'd easily be rank 1. Check my Mundo stats for example. I was 15-20 when I started Mundo since I was playing him at 2k+ Elo and ended up 91-69. That's +22 w/l games in 2k+ Elo. Also means that playing with top players, I managed to gain somewhere around 250-300 Elo with that champion. Also, my first 20 games are usually where I experiment with champions and see how effective the build/play is at carrying. It's one thing to dominate as a champion, but it's another thing to know how to CARRY as a champion. With my Twitch for example, I used to go 10-0 and push top to the inhibitor but still lose. Well I try to figure out what went wrong and I realized I was not carrying 1v5 in teamfights because I was getting items like wriggles instead of Infinity Edge. What difference does that make? Well I'm delaying the ability to burst their team in 3 seconds and I'm letting the enemies get too strong by not keeping up with the late game. I experiment to find the best build to work around soloque and theorize how it could be different. Q3-How do you survive late game as Kayle when shes so squishy? Kayle is like Graves. They both have 525 range, but Kayle has a movespeed boost, a slow, and a 3 second invulnerability over Graves. If you have trouble keeping alive with this build, work on AD carrying! Also, a BIG WORD OF ADVICE THAT MADE ME THINK COMPLETELY DIFFERENT: Kill the closest target in teamfights. As an AD carry, it's not about killing their squishys in the back, it's about killing that 1 Mundo in front of your team whos trying to rip you apart. Distance yourself and focus down that closest target. Learn to attack in between moves and don't get hit by CCs. Learn to use her ult and you'll completely turn battles. Q-4I keep getting ganked as Kayle! What do? Can't really say more than try to be more aware and watch for signs of aggression. If you see any champion going all out on you level 1-2, he's either trying to gank you, or just plain dumb. Most champions can't trade with Kayle so chances are they are trying to gank you. Just play it a bit more safe while still trading back when you see these signs of aggression. Also, take note on every jungler. If theres an alistar jungle, HE WILL GO FOR YOU I GUARANTEE IT. If there's a shyvanna/mundo/leesin jungle, they MIGHT level 2 gank you. The better you are at avoiding ganks, the better a TOP LANER you are! By learning Kayle, you learn how to AD carry AND to play top lane.(diz why my twitch #1 lololol) About builds/masteries/runes: Please read what I have in my guide first, then ask. Thanks! I'll answer any questions you guys have but try not to make me repeat :[. My Mundo guide, I had to repeat spellvamp quints/warmogs AT LEAST 20 TIMES. Y NOT ONHIT KAYLE? I think on-hit Kayle is very subpar to AD Kayle. At about mid-late game(11-16), on-hit may do about the same damage and have great stats(like mr, armor, and shreds), but once true late game hits, where everyone has 2-3 items, crit scales exponentially while onhit still stays around the same level. A Kayle with PD+IE+LW will hit much harder in bursts than items like BCleave+wits+madred. Not only that, but an on-hit build requires hitting a target constantly to do efficient damage. Most of the time, you'll be moving and throwing in small bursts of 1-2 hits here and there. Crits are much stronger in those cases.

Before you call Kayle garbage or trash tier! Look again. Build her correctly. Play her right. Once you master Kayle, you will realize she's possibly one of the most underrated champion in League of Legends. Climb to top Elo with Kayle and everyone will love you!
