Hello, I am Dániel. This is my first guide on this site. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I believe that graves is one of the best AD carry in the game. He is extremely easy to play and can do lots of damage if played right. Pros: [.]High burst damage early game. [.]Can control a team fight with [imgsmall=skills/graves/w.png]. [.]Has a speed steriod with [imgsmall=skills/graves/e.png]. [.]Has a passive that gives him armor and magic resist in team fights which makes him tankier then most of the AD carries. [.]Has an escaping skill which not every AD carry has.[imgsmall=skills/graves/e.png]. Cons: [.]Some AD carries out range him such as [imgsmall=champ/kogmaw.png][imgsmall=champ/tristana.png] [imgsmall=champ/caitlyn.png]. [.]Mana hungry early in the game.

For runes, I recommend flat AD reds, flat armor yellows, magic resist per level blues, and flat AD quints. I believe that magic resist per level blues are better than flat magic resist runes because you do not need magic resist until later in the game because you won't be taking much magic damage until late game. Flat magic resist runes are useful only if you are against champions like [imgsmall=champ/corki.png] and [imgsmall=champ/ezreal.png]. I run flat armor runes for almost every lane I play against because it will give you the defense to survive in lane. [imgext=http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/29/adrune.png/]

For summoner spells, I recommend using [imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png]and [imgsmall=summoners/flash.png]. Other summoner spells that can be used on graves are [imgsmall=summoners/cleanse.png]and [imgsmall=summoners/heal.png].

I start off with [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png]and [imgsmall=items/health-potion3.png]because it will give you sustain in lane. I almost never start with [imgsmall=items/dorans-blade.png]unless I am with [imgsmall=champ/soraka.png] or [imgsmall=champ/sona.png]. Why [imgsmall=items/infinity-edge.png]before [imgsmall=items/the-bloodthirster.png]? Getting Infinity edge before Bloodthirster is better in most occasions because it gives you huge amount of damage output that you will need in lane. The only time I will build Bloodthirster over Infinity edge is if I am getting snowballed out of lane and need extra sustain. is a must item on Graves. Having it will give you crit, attack speed, and movement speed needed to win team fights. is a great item on Graves. It helps destroy enemies that are going to build armor. is optional if the enemy team has lots of CC and are targeting you with it. get this if you are being focused every team fight and if the enemy has little CC.

Passive: True Grit Graves gains 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 bonus Armor and Magic Resist every second he remains in combat (stacks up to 10 times). Graves is treated as in combat if he has dealt or taken damage in the last 4 seconds. Q:Buckshot Graves shoots three bullets in a cone, each dealing 60 / 105 / 150 / 195 / 240 (+80% of attack damage) physical damage to all enemies in their path. Enemies hit with multiple bullets take 25% damage from each additional bullet. Cooldown 12/11/10/9/8 seconds Cost 60/75/70/75/80 mana Range 750 W: Smokescreen Graves fires a smoke canister dealing 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 (+60% of ability power) magic damage on impact and creating a smoke cloud at the location that lasts (5) seconds. Enemies inside the cloud have their sight radius reduced and are slowed by 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 % while they remain in the cloud. Cooldown 20/19/18/17/16 seconds Cost 70/75/80/85/90 mana Range 300 E: Quickdraw Graves dashes forward gaining 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 % increased Attack Speed for 4 seconds. Each of his basic attacks lowers the cooldown of Quickdraw by 1 second. Cooldown 22/20/18/16/14 seconds Cost 50/50/50/50/50 mana R: Collateral Damage Graves fires off an explosive shell dealing 250 / 375 / 500 (+150% of attack damage) physical damage to the first enemy champion hit. After hitting a champion or reaching the end of its range, Collateral Damage deals 150 / 275 / 400 (+120% of attack damage) physical damage in a cone behind the target. Cooldown 80/70/60 seconds Cost 100 mana Range 700

I max [imgsmall=skills/graves/q.png] first for the minion clearing and harass. DO NOT max out [imgsmall=skills/graves/w.png] until later in game because it is not useful in lane. It helps blind out enemies, but does not improve the range of the blind. I max [imgsmall=skills/graves/e.png]second because it gives you attack speed to harass in lane and helps kill objectives like dragon and baron faster. Max [imgsmall=skills/graves/r.png] whenever you can. It deals tons of damage.

Is a great support on Graves, with his headbutt and pulverize, Alistar can set up easy kills for Graves. Also has a healing skill and can tower dive easily when he hits 6. Is another great support that can help Graves win his lane. When against an enemy blitzcrank, make sure you ward the bush he is standing in, so you know when he is going to grab. Janna has a shield that gives Graves attack damage equivalent to a BF sword. She can also help graves escape from sticky situations with her ultimate and tornado. Not much people play Karma as support because she needs her ult to heal and it heals % hp, but she has a great shield and can help chase down enemies with her W. One of the strongest support with graves. She has great burst as a support, tanky with her W, and tons of CC. Help you farm with his attack speed steriod, also helps clear objectives faster such as baron and dragon. His ultimate is really strong in team fights. Sona is a great support, she has a low cooldown heal that gives extra armor, and Q that can help poke and gives extra AD, gives extra movement speed from E for chases, and an ultimate that can turn around team fights if placed right. Soraka gives Graves all the sustain he needs, she gives Graves Hp to stay alive in lane, and Mp to poke whenever he wants to. Taric is a strong support on Graves as well, he has a stun that can help him get easy kills, burst damage with his W E and R, and a decent heal.

Ashe is easy to lane against, dodge her W harass by staying behind minions. She is weak early in the game. Try to force fight with her or push the minions to her tower. Caitlyn outranges you. Do not try to fight her. Be careful of her traps. The best thing to do is just farm in lane or ask the jungler for a gank if you are being overpushed. Corki is very tough opponent in lane because of his insane damage with Q and his E that shreds your armor. Try to get a support with alot of CC against him. When fighting against Draven, try to harass him whenever he is overextending trying to catch his axes. Ezreal is very annoying to lane against because of his constant harass. Try to get a support that can heal you when laning against him. Try to shut down Kog'Maw early in the game to prevent him destroying your team later on. He has no escaping skill which makes him easy to kill, try to zone him out from farm. He is very weak early game. MF is very strong in lane. Try not to fight her. She falls off late game though. Try to bait out her shield, and dodge her Q. After baiting out her shield, try to kill her. Just try to farm in lane. Her early game nukes are very strong. Late game she is very scary is farmed up. Her jump makes her hard to kill. Tell your support to get sight wards. Be careful when he turn invisible. Dodge his E or he will do insane damage on you. Get QSS for his ult. His Q poke is extremely annoying and does TONS of damage. Try not to be too agressive and try to dodge his ult and Q. Her laning phase is bad. Try to stay away from walls and harass her whenever you can. Late game, she is the scariest AD carry because of her W.

Early game, level 1-6, graves is one of the AD carries that deal alot of damage from his [imgsmall=skills/graves/e.png] burst. When you want to kill somebody, start off with then try to hit as many bullets with [imgsmall=skills/graves/q.png]as you can to maximize the damage.

Mid and Late game is where Graves really shines. He deals heavy damage, is tanky from passive, and can turn around team fights with his E if it is placed right.

In team fights, positioning is your key to victory. Try to stay in the back line and let your front line take the damage. Try to get as much auto attacks off as you can.

Thanks for reading my first guide. I hope this helps you out.
