[imgext=] Hey! I'm a Twitch player who started using Twitch last season. I was first playing jungle Rat in season 2 until 1900 elo. After that, I had a long Twitch break. A friend of mine, Syforce Rat4lif3 hit over 2400 Elo by playing Twitch jungle in season 2. This season, after Twitch's rework, I started playing him again, but it somehow felt weak in the jungle. The reduction on the stealth duration kind of destroyed the jungle Twitch. I felt like, he got superstrong in lane though, so I've tried to play him as an ad carry. Syforce, went for Twitch midlane and toplane very early and managed to get Diamond 1 by using Twitch midlane very early this season. So I tried it out myself and at the moment, I am Diamond 1 (Main account) and Diamond 5 (smurf) [imgext=] [imgext=]

[title]Reason behind the crit runes use:[/title] First off, a lot of people wonder: why would I recommend % crit runes, instead of full armor and mres as usual? The answer is simple: Twitch midlane out trades most champions without Crowd Control. It means, you'll be agressive all game, you never try to sustain or survive, it's all about killing or getting killed. When I play Twitch like this, I sometimes get 2 criticals strikes in a row. Now think about getting a level one crit, using ignite and pressing Expunge(E)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png], easy firstblood, isn't it? [title]Here's a list of the Rune Pages I use with a little explanation on the goal behind it:[/title] [imgext=] [title]Explanation:[/title] I use this runepage when I don't want to try to firstblood someone. It's very rare that I use this runepage, but sometimes I need it, it's the standard rune page most people use on AD carries to scale well in late game it allows you to have a good damage output while keeping a good sustain in laning phase and outside of it. I also use it for the Twitch AD Carry or Twitch Jungle games. [imgext=] [title]Explanation:[/title] I'm using this runepage against champions with low magic damage and buying lot of ad (Zed, Talon...), I don't really need magic resistance in this case hence I replace it by attack speed (as it's the best thing I can get to maximize my damage output) and I add 3 crit runes in red since it might change the laning phase if I get a random critical on the ennemy. [imgext=] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is my regular Twitch runepage. I'll use it mostly, since I get a lot of sustain, but also damage with it, I take 5 crit runes in yellow and put armor in the rest, 6 crit runes in red and 3 flat attack damages, 6 flat magic res in blue and 3 attack speed to complete it, I use flat AD quintessences. [imgext=] [title]Explanation:[/title] This is the runepage I use against AP burst champions, I go full magic resistance flat to not get blown up too fast, I take 3 attack damages in red along with 6 critical chance runes in both red and yellow, and 3 armor to complete the yellow part, I get as usual flat attack damage in the quintessences as it helps CSing and gives a good base damage output early on. [imgext=] [title]Explanation:[/title] I use this one against champions like Pantheon. To avoid pokes, while also conserving a good damage output. No crit runes in this page sadly ;(. [imgext=] [title]Explanation:[/title] I take this runepage, if I want to have really high sustain and durability in the beginning, I use full armor yellow, full magic resistance blue, 3 attack damage runes in red and quintessences and 6 critical chances runes in red. [imgext=] [title]Explanation:[/title] Sometimes I'm mad. When im mad, I want to go for the true Rambo-Twitch mode. It works out fine with this runepage (it's 6 critical chances runes in red with 3 attack damages, 6 critical chance in yellow with 3 armor, full attack speed in blue and 3 flat attack damage quintessences).

[title] Passive: Deadly Venom[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] The passive is a bit similar to the redbuff, it's a damage on time spell and you can stack it up to 6 times. The more stacks you put on your opponent, the more damage you deal over time. If you autoattack your enemy, you'll gain 1 stack per autoattack, if you throw your Venom Cask(W)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] on your enemy, you'll get 2 additionals stacks. [title] Q: Ambush[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] His ambush is a very powerful skill if you use it wisely. The stealth duration is short but deadly. When stealthed, you gain additional movementspeed, until you come out of your stealth. If you use a skill or autoattack someone while stealthed you get out of the stealth, after the end of the stealth you gain additional attackspeed. [title] W: Venom Cask[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] Twitch's Venom Cask(W)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] is an awesome spell to slow people down, or clear a minion wave. You can throw it at a whole minion wave, autoattack some minions while switchting the target after every hit, to get stacks on almost all minions, and after you just clear up with your Expunge(E)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png]. [imgext=] [title] E: Expunge[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] Twitch's Expunge(E)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png] is excellent to deal damage to your targets. I think, what I'm going to explain now, is most crucial part to understand how to play Twitch properly: A lot of players use their Expunge(E)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png] way too early, because they don't really know how much damage they're really going to deal with it. Twitch can stack up his poison up to 6 times, everytime you autoattack your enemy, you'll gain 1 stack, if you use your Venom Cask(W)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] on the enemy, you'll get 2 additional stacks. You should never activate your Expunge(E)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png] unless he'll die or you have already applied at least 4 stacks on your enemy. [title] R: Spray and Pray[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] Twitch's Spray and Pray(R)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/r.png] is my favorite ultimate spell in League of Legends. It allows him to shoot 5 people at the same, gives him attack damage and extra autoattack range. You just need to position well and shoot down the whole enemy team.

Your skill order is: Expunge(E)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png] -> Spray and Pray(R)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/r.png] -> Ambush(Q)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] -> Venom Cask(W)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] [title]Explanation:[/title] You deal tons of damage with ur Expunge(E)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png]. Your Ambush(Q)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] gives you additional attackspeed and movementspeed, additional to this - you'll get a longer stealth. Your don't need your Venom Cask(W)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] at all, except for slowing people and clearing the wave. Spray and Pray(R)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/r.png] is selfexplaining.

[title]First 5 minutes[/title] In early game you really want to kill the opponent midlaner, because you took redpot. So, after helping your jungler with his buffs, go to the lane - and try to autoattack the opponent laner as often as you can when he tries to lasthit. If he comes near you - FIGHT HIM! No one can beat a redpot level 1 rat with crit runes. Try to stack up your poison, wait for the right moment - Ignite[imgsmall=summoners/ignite.png] him, use your redpot for additional damage, land up 4-5 Stacks, Flash[imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] into him if he tries to flash away and use your Expunge(E)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png] to finish him off. I get firstblood around 2:10-2:40 minutes in 80% of my twitch games. With some practise, you're gonna master the calculation of your Expunge(E)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png] damage soon. After firstblooding, or forcing your enemy midlaner to recall, you push the lane, and follow the itembuild, either dorans or vampiric scepter they are the best choices. [imgext=] If you get back to lane, try to reach your opponent while you're in Ambush(Q)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] and shoot him from behind. I recommend you to always get BEHIND your enemy, before you start shooting him, almost everytime it's better. [imgext=] With your Venom Cask(W)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] you make it almost impossible to run away from you for your opponent. You really want to get a huge advantage off your opponent laner, since you wasted gold into the redpot. So, this is the point where you should be 2-0. First of all, killing him level 1, and then after level 3, if you managed to go invisible behind him, after you recalled. [imgext=] [title]Harrasing[/title] Try to always stack up to 4 poison stacks at your enemy, to Expunge(E)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png] them after, by doing that, you'll make your enemy lose a lot of hp. [imgext=]

[title]Buffs[/title] If your jungler asks you if you want the bluebuff, try to ask him, if you can get the redbuff instead. If you feel like you can dominate, you really need it, of course the bluebuff is useful too to clear up the wraiths, but, a redbuff is much more important - because of the doubleslow with your Venom Cask(W)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] [imgext=] [title]Invisible recall[/title] After putting 3 points in your Ambush(Q)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] you can recall in your stealth, by using Ambush(Q)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] and after simply recalling. [imgext=] [title]Stealthing[/title] Try to clear up your wave as fast as you can, and try to do the wraiths, if your enemy doesnt pushes as fast as you do. Try to make plays. Ambush(Q)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] in the sidebushes and try to fight your enemy, whenever you can. [imgext=] [title]Roaming[/title] Roaming is a very important point as midlane twitch. After clearing up the wave, you may try to lanegank a lane. Do it as usual, get invisible, go behind your enemies, throw your Venom Cask(W)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] at them, press Spray and Pray(R)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/r.png] to acivate your ultimate to let them all die. But beware of pinkwards[imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png]. [imgext=] [title]Pinkwards[/title] Try to time all the Pinkwards[imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png] that get placed by the opponent team. Remember, if you're in laning phase, I prefer spending 125 gold to buy a pinkward[imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png] everytime my opponent buys one, to counter it. [imgext=] There is a special trick, you can abuse, with your Spray and Pray(R)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/r.png]. If your opponent places an obvious pinkward[imgsmall=items/vision-ward.png], you may destroy it, while it is invisible, by using your Spray and Pray(R)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/r.png] and shooting through the minions or tower, in the direction of the ward. Your ultimate shoots through all targets, it also affects wards. [imgext=] [imgext=]

[title]Positoning[/title] The lategame as midlane twitch is very complex, because in most cases you'll get oneshot. So, to avoid that - you'll Ambush(Q)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] into the teamfight, and wait for the enemy team to use all their CC spells on your team. After that you must position well, like, try to stand either behind your enemies, next to them, but not somewhere, they may instantly stun or catch you. Try to activate your Spray and Pray(R)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/r.png] and land a lot of stacks at the whole enemy team. Try to stay in max-range, all the time but to hit as much enemies as possible. With Twitch's Spray and Pray(R)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/r.png], you'll have the longest AD Carry range in the game. [title]Splitpush[/title] As twitch you can splitpush very well, by pushing a lane, and Ambush(Q)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] away if the enemy team tries to catch you. Try to splitpush often, since, all you need as twitch is gold, gold makes you strong. [title]Stealthkills[/title] Try to pickout someone of the enemy team. Make a good use of your Ambush(Q)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/q.png] Get behind your enemy, use your Blade of the ruined King on him, Venom Cask(W)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/w.png] him and finish him off with your Expunge(E)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png]. If you're missing damage, it's worth it to use your Spray and Pray(R)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/r.png], to get the kill. Also if the enemy flashes away, use your Spray and Pray(R)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/r.png], flash[imgsmall=summoners/flash.png] after him, shoot and Expunge(E)[imgsmall=skills/twitch/e.png]!

[title]Hard laning against:[/title] Very powerful Twitch counter. Has alot of CC and burst after level 6. Try to kill at before she reaches level 6. After she gets it, just avoid fighting her in a 1on1. Farm and do your wraiths, you'll clear up waves faster than her. Strong Twitch counter if well played. By using his jump, he may dodge your E spell. So, use your E wisely. After level 6 you will have huge problems, that's why I recommend buying an hexdrinker, against him. Strong champion against Twitch, because of her ultimate. Same story as with fizz, time your Expunge well else she'll negate it. Be careful not getting baited by her ultimate as she can use it to punish agressivity from you. He can use his spell making you visible after you used your Ambush and burst you, strong counter, but you can still beat him in lane. Stay behind your minions and dont get Q'd by him. Try to harrass him whenever you can and force him out of the lane or kill him. Try to firstblood him at level 1. You have to get him out of the game, before he reaches 6, else you will have a hard time with his ultimate. Concentrate well, and flash away if he tries to ultimate you, it's the only way to survive. Very strong slow. His ultimate can burst you while you try to Ambush and run away, so, he's also deadly champion against Twitch, try to never let him get his ult on you. Orianna is not even a twitch counter, but if she is using barrier and maxing her shield, it will get impossible to use our rambotwitch strategy against her as she'll always survive. After level 6 she can burst you, so try to play the lane passively. If she runs ignite for some reason, kill her whenever you can. A Twisted Fate cannot burst you down by himself. But he can stun you. Rats hate getting stunned. If his jungler plays well, you will have huge problems. Since if you try to Ambush away, when getting ganked - he may use his ultimate to make spot you even while invisible. One of the strongest Twitch counters in the game, after level 6. Try to laneswap with your toplane, after he reaches lvl 6. Or play your lane very passively else he can kill you easily. Before level 6 you can try bursting him down. She has quite a lot of CC and burst, but, you can beat her easily, if you dodge her stun. Try to fight her level 1, and always try to avoid getting hit by her root, don't underestimate her damage output and be careful as staying behind minions to avoid the root doesn't work. Works very simply: if he has ultimate and you've got no flash, you're dead, so be careful. You may still try to stealth in his ultimate and run away but he'll most likely have the upper hand. Be careful when playing against him, he's very strong as soon as he hits level 2. Strong because of the Zhonyas [imgsmall=items/zhonyas-hourglass.png] rush and ultimate. Also her escapeskills makes her strong and hard to catch. Even if she cannot burst you down, you won't be able to kill her if you dont stealth well and abuse her mistakes (Using her escape to clear a wave for example). After level 6 his ultimate is very deadly against twitch. Try to laneswap until you got your Quicksilver Sash [imgsmall=items/quicksilver-sash.png] or play very passively against him. Don't stay near allies minions who are being targeted by his E and are low hp. [title]Easy laning against:[/title] You burst her down fast as hell, just beware of her ultimate, but not even her ultimate may reach you, if you stay in max-autoattackrange with your own ultimate. Her damage output is really weak early on, you can abuse it. If you dodge her skillshots, you dont have to fear her. Try to kill her before level 6, else she will escape from your assassination attempts all the time. She also has a low damage output early on. Very easy kill opportunities on Anivia. If you dodge her stun, you'll get her and her egg easily. Twitch's ultimate has such a long range, that you can even kill the egg when she is behind the tower, without getting towerhits. Easy to lane against until she hits level 6. After this you will have to kite her well, else she will jump on you and kill you. Try harassing her when she goes for last hits, she's quite weak early on. Easy to lane against, if you dodge his bubbles and his DOT aura. Try not getting low if you fight against him after level 6, after he can just finish you off with his ultimate. Stay on max-range as often as you can. Do not forget his exhaust if he uses one! And try to get free hits on him when he's channeling ultimate for other lanes recklessly as it gets cancelled if you kill him during channel time. Even lane, it's a skill match up. Best player wins. If you dodge his skills, and poke him more than he does, you'll win easy by kitting and harrasing. If he gets ahead don't let him farm you and play safely else he snowballs hard, if you get ahead, be wary of mistakes because he can still get back in the game if he kills you. One of my favorite champions to play against. If you dodge her skills, she is very squishy and has literally no chance to avoid her death, don't get hit by her binding or you won't be able to kill her, stay in movement to avoid skillshots and don't follow obvious path when chasing her. Uhm. I would say, easy enemy if you zone him succesfully for a long time in the beginning. Later he gets dangerous because of his shield. Do not let him freefarm or you'll regret it later on. Abuse the fact that he's melee and that his shield is weak early on. Same as Lux. Dodge her skillshot and kill her, don't throw your W when she has her black shield on unless you can kill her with two more poison stacks, her shield doesn't block any of your damages and prevents only your slow. She can know when you get near her while invisible past level 6 with her ultimate so be careful to what you do. Ryze is very squishy and weak against Twitch. If he doesn't stacks HP too early and you harrass him successfully, you'll win the lane, be careful, the longer the game goes, the stronger he gets so don't let him get too big or he'll be a pain to deal with. Easy until level 6. After this you must stay on max range with your ultimate when fighting her, to not let yourself get ultimated by her. Her damage output is strong when she gets her ultimate so be careful, she also can slow/stun you from quite far to set up for her ultimate, so don't get into a bad position. Ziggs is squishy as hell, I think you will have an easy lane against him, if you dont get poked all the time. His skillshots are quite dangerous if he hits all of them so avoid as many bombs as you can and abuse the fact that he's weak. Try not trading auto while he has his passive on (you'll come out on top of the trade but you'll take unnecessary damages)

+ Powerful in teamfights + Mobility + Fast waveclear + Huge damage output - Squishy - Easy to kill - Hard to master - Needs alot of AD Carry knowlede
