Hello everyone, my name is Akilon, currently hovering around Diamond V, and I’m an experienced Cassiopeia player with a year of experience under my belt, and over 70% win ratio in ranked over multiple accounts. Without further ado, let's get into the meat of the guide. NOTE: MORE UPDATES WILL BE COMING, CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF UPDATING THIS GUIDE.

Cassiopeia is, without a doubt, one of the best AP carries in the game. She offers incredible DPS, good utility, a high teamfight potential, and her laning phase is something to truly be afraid of. Her unique playstyle revolves around chasing, kiting, and constantly poking at the enemy with short cooldown spells. She’s hard to learn, hard to master, but the payoff is huge if you can pick her up. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to carry in solo queue, in normals, and learn a fun way to dominate the Summoner’s Rift. I'd say the number one reason why she isn't seen more often is because she has no escapes and she's much harder to play than, say, Ryze. Even in competitive play she isn't seen much anymore, but she is very strong no doubt. NOTE: SMARTCAST IS CRUCIAL ON CASSIOPEIA, ALLOWING YOU TO GET OFF [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] MUCH FASTER THAN YOU NORMALLY WOULD.

I run a pretty standard set of runes on Cassiopeia. Greater Mark of Magic Penetration provides a nice amount of magic penetration along with Sorcerer’s Shoes. Magic penetration will allow you to pierce through null magic mantle's at the least,and scales better than flat AP marks would. Greater Seal of Scaling Health allows you to have a good amount of health and is superior to mana regen seals since your passive and blue buff takes care of that. Greater Glyph of Ability Power are the superior choice, giving you some nice Ap, which scales very well with your main poke, Noxious Blast. There are several choices for quints. Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed allows you for some nice amount of movement speed to use your mobility in the lane and outrun, dodge or chase enemies. Probably the best one is the Greater Quintessence of Ability Power, which gives you a nice boost of flat AP. This really allows you do well in your lane no matter what you do with the nice amount of AP you have, around 23 with no items at level 1. You can use a combination of any of these quints depending on your lane, more on lane matchups later.

[title][img=skills/cassiopeia/p.png] Passive: Deadly Cadence[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] At max stacks, this will reduce the cost of your spells by 50%. This passive is amazing for a champion like Cassiopeia, as it just fits so well with her toolkit, especially with spamming [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]. With a Doran's Ring and your masteries and runes, once you hit 5 stacks, you can stay in lane for a good amount of time, provided you use your spells wisely. If you want to keep your stacks up, use your spells at the end of the timer. It still affects late game pretty well since without blue buff, you'll be hard pressed for mana if you constantly spam [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]. [title][img=skills/cassiopeia/q.png] Q: Noxious Blast[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] This skill is your bread and butter, and you have to be good at hitting it to be good with Cassiopeia. If you can land this once and follow up with 2 or 3 [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png], you will most likely outrade a majority of champions or force them to run. The movement speed boost is often forgotten but if you’re getting ganked, it can save your life if you can land it. Use it if you’re getting tower dove to help run around the tower. The movement speed boost is also strong for catching up to champions to use [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]. The duration lasts long enough to use 2 Twin Fangs without blue buff, and 3 Twin Fangs with blue buff. [title][img=skills/cassiopeia/w.png] W: Miasma[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] This ability gives vision when it lands so use it to check brushes before you go in and check baron/dragon with it. It also allows you to pull off some powerful combos. Use this ability behind your opponents, since most of the time, your foes will run away from your damage, right into the Miasma. It’s slow is really useful against ganks and slowing your enemies so you can hit them. If you notice, it lasts 7 seconds, and if an enemy stands in it for all 7 seconds, they will take a lot of damage that will seemingly come out of nowhere. Remember you can use this in conjunction with your [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]. NOTE: A lot of players will take the chance to do something if you miss a Noxious Blast. Using your Miasma and [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] can often score a lot of damage where they don’t expect it after a missed Noxious Blast. [title][img=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] E: Twin Fang[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] This skill is nothing more than spammable damage and makes Cassiopeia extremely hard to trade with. It’s very easy to use after you poison someone with your Noxious Blast or Miasma, just click. When you’re in mid lane, if you land a Noxious Blast, you should be able to lane around 2-3 [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] before they get back to tower. Do not use this spell early game unless you are certain you can push them out of lane or get a kill. The constant mana it requires will make you starved for mana, and the damage at level 1 isn't the best. After some points into it, the damage starts to become very noticeable. This spell makes Cassiopeia shine with a constant stream of damage along with your other spells. It’s also good for securing kills with it’s fairly long range. You should never be using this if you haven’t hit a poison on them. This spell MUST be up during teamfights if you want to be the strongest you can. [title][img=skills/cassiopeia/r.png] R: Petrifying Gaze[/title] [title]Explanation:[/title] Cassiopeia’s ultimate is one of the best ultis in the game if used correctly. A 2 second AOE stun that does nuke damage is simply a game changer. It makes you a 1v1 monster, can stun entire teams, and deals a ton of damage in a wide area. It can also turn ganks into free double kills. One of the easiest uses of this skill is to wait in a bush for enemies then ulti them as they run towards you unsuspectingly. If landed correctly, throw down your spells for free and an ignite. This combo should take out almost near anyone, unless they’ve been stacking some serious MR or they’re fed like hell. In teamfights, this skill can be hard to land since the range is fairly short. Try and use it when you see the most people grouped up and they should be facing towards you since you are the focus. Also, if you can’t seem to land the stun, remember that the slow combined with a [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] can be pretty crippling to melee champions without gap closers as the slow is immense.

[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/q.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/q.png]- [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/w.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/q.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png]- [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/q.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/q.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/w.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/w.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/w.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/w.png] [img=skills/cassiopeia/r.png] Maxing R first is standard. As an ultimate, it brings massive damage, strong CC, and a huge presence in teamfights that is unavoidable. [img=skills/cassiopeia/q.png] Maxing Q second gives you spammable, high damage poke. The ratio on Q is really high, higher than any of her other skills. It also has longer range than her other spells and the movement speed boost you get goes up per level. [img=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] Max E third to increase the damage you deal. It is your most often used spell in teamfights, so leveling it up will increase your damage in fights greatly. [img=skills/cassiopeia/w.png] Max W last. To be honest, leveling this skill has great benefits in the slow it provides and the damage increase, but you can't pass up the spammability and constant DPS of leveling your other spells first.

[title]Early Items[/title] Good Idea: [img=items/dorans-ring.png][img=items/haunting-guise.png] OR [img=items/dorans-ring.png][img=items/seekers-armguard.png] Need resistances or have gold?: [img=items/negatron-cloak.png] OR [img=items/giants-belt.png] VS AD: [img=items/seekers-armguard.png] There are a few options to start with. [imgsmall=items/crystalline-flask.png] is efficient for staying in lane and bullying people around. [imgsmall=items/boots-of-speed.png] are good if you want to dodge skillshots easier or if you know you won’t take a lot of harass. [imgsmall=items/cloth-armor.png] is essential vs AD Casters mid ([imgsmall=champ/talon.png][imgsmall=champ/khazix.png][imgsmall=champ/zed.png][imgsmall=champ/pantheon.png]). You can get 1-2 Doran's Rings after your boots for extra survivability and damage, for relatively low cost. [imgsmall=items/seekers-armguard.png] is key vs said AD Casters, providing extra armor to survive, AP, and a nice stacking passive. Haunting Guise increases your damage by a large amount, giving survivablity and penetration to pierce any MR that your opponent may build. Building a Giant's Belt or Negatron Cloak is never a bad idea since you can build those items into Abyssal Scepter or Rylai's Crystal Scepter. [title]Core[/title] Should Have: [img=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png][img=items/liandrys-torment.png][imgsmall=items/seekers-armguard.png] OR [img=items/zhonyas-hourglass.png][img=items/abyssal-scepter.png][img=items/haunting-guise.png] Other Viable Mid-game Items: [img=items/rabadons-deathcap.png] Enchantment: [img=items/enchantment-alacrity.png] OR [img=items/enchantment-homeguard.png] From here you have a variety of viable paths, which all lead to the end game, which will vary depending on the team you are facing. [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] will give you a nice amount of AP along with lots of HP for survivability and the oh-so-excellent slow. [imgsmall=items/rabadons-deathcap.png] will give you HUGE damage, but no survivability or utility. [imgsmall=items/liandrys-torment.png] combos well with your DoT’s and synergizes with [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png], as well as giving you Health, AP, and more magic penetration. If you’re doing really bad you may want to go [imgsmall=items/abyssal-scepter.png] for extra MR vs a tough AP, then [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] then [imgsmall=items/rabadons-deathcap.png] because you’ll need the utility to catch up. Go [imgsmall=items/rabadons-deathcap.png] first if you’re confident in your abilities or you’re doing really well. [title] Mid-Late Game Items [/title] End Build Example: [img=items/sorcerers-shoes.png][img=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png][img=items/rabadons-deathcap.png][img=items/liandrys-torment.png][img=items/zhonyas-hourglass.png][img=items/abyssal-scepter.png] Once you decide on your first item, pick up other items as you see fit, prioritizing versus whoever is fed on the enemy team. Viable items after this include [imgsmall=items/zhonyas-hourglass.png] (Stasis will help in teamfights greatly), [imgsmall=items/quicksilver-sash.png] (for hard CC like [imgsmall=champ/ashe.png][imgsmall=champ/warwick.png][imgsmall=champ/malzahar.png][imgsmall=champ/rammus.png]), [imgsmall=items/liandrys-torment.png] (works well with [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png], good percentage damage for spammable damage) [imgsmall=items/banshees-veil.png] (Survivability vs AP casters and nukes), [imgsmall=items/void-staff.png] (for MR stacking opponents), [imgsmall=items/abyssal-scepter.png] (MR reduction and MR vs AP mids), [imgsmall=items/warmogs-armor.png] (Health meta op), or [imgsmall=items/guardian-angel.png] (revival op). [title]BUT WHY NO [img=items/rod-of-ages.png]?[/title] You want to capitalize on your strong laning phase. And with you going for RoA, you do little to no damage compared to the other AP carry, and they can catch up since you can’t zone the crap outta them anymore. So no [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png], it also takes up a precious item slot, something that can be used for something far more valuable. [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] gives everything that [imgsmall=items/rod-of-ages.png] does (except the mana), except better. It gives about the same amount of AP, about the same amount of HP, and a slow that synergizes with your kit. If you really need a [imgsmall=items/catalyst-the-protector.png] for laning, make sure you make it into a [imgsmall=items/banshees-veil.png]. Core Items Explained: [img=items/abyssal-scepter.png] The MR reduction aura's range is exactly the same as your [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png], which synchronizes pretty well. The aura is nice for your team if you have an AP champ top lane as well. Extra AP and MR is always appreciated, especially for a relatively low cost. A must vs double AP comps. [img=items/banshees-veil.png] The spell shield it provides can save your life from powerful spells ([imgsmall=champ/ashe.png][imgsmall=champ/blitzcrank.png][imgsmall=champ/annie.png][imgsmall=champ/nidalee.png]). MR, HP, and Mana are all welcome stats, giving you survivability and a larger mana pool to poke with. [img=items/guardian-angel.png] Nice amount of resistances and a second life, all for 2600 gold. You must position yourself correctly still because if you die in the middle of the enemy team, a 2nd life is only going to get bursted down really fast. [img=items/liandrys-torment.png] Adds to your arsenal of DoTs with a percent of current health damage. It also gives a nice amount of health, AP and magic penetration, which are all welcome on a mage like Cass. [img=items/mercurys-treads.png] Tenacity is ALWAYS useful, especially when heading against champions like [imgsmall=champ/twistedfate.png][imgsmall=champ/taric.png][imgsmall=champ/ryze.png][imgsmall=champ/morgana.png][imgsmall=champ/kassadin.png] and so on. The MR it provides is pretty nice vs an AP laner as well. [img=items/rabadons-deathcap.png] Adds a huge amount of damage to your spells since a lot of your scalings are pretty high. Core on any AP champion. [img=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] Not only do you get a large amount of health and AP, you get a slow on every spell you cast. The added slow helps you kite, chase, and provide a nice utility in teamfights. With your spammable spells and the AoE on [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/w.png] and [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png], the slow will often finds its way onto many targets, sometimes the whole team in fights. A must have. [img=items/seraphs-embrace.png] Provides more mana to spam spells off of, and a nice chunk of AP. The shield is quite useful since Cassiopeia is vulnerable to divers. This item sacrifices your early game potential however. [img=items/sorcerers-shoes.png] Extra magic penetration is always a bonus, especially on a mage such as yourself. [img=items/void-staff.png] If you opt out of Liandry's, this item is cheap yet powerful. Giving a nice chunk of AP, its magic penetration is beloved by almost all mages. [img=items/warmogs-armor.png] In this day and age, health reigns supreme. An extra 1000 health is nothing to sneeze at, especially when Cass is kiting your tanks around, leaving less time to blow through that extra 1000 health. Position correctly and you won't have to build this. [img=items/zhonyas-hourglass.png] One of my favorite items of all time, the Zhonya's Hourglass is a lifesaver if used correctly. When enemies dive onto you with reckless abandon, popping this will not only save your life for a few seconds, but the spells and ultis they spent to try to kill you will be for naught since hopefully your team will clean up in these seconds of stasis. An excellent buy overall, giving a large chunk of AP and that ever so important armor stat.

Cassiopeia's [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/q.png] provides a good amount of movement speed, and when combined with [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] and the slow from [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/w.png], kiting is made easy. Standard kiting involves moving in between spells, like so: [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/q.png]- Move -[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/w.png] - Move - [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]- Move -[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] - Move -[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/q.png]- Move -[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] - Move -[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]- Move -[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] And repeat. Use your [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png] whenever you think you can turn around and get a kill, or when they get too close for comfort. VIDEO COMING SOON!

Cassiopeia's early game and laning phase is one of the strongest for any mages. With proper dodging and good aim with Noxious Blast, most lanes are easily won. Try to bully your opponent out of lane quickly by landing [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/q.png] every time they come up to last hit. They will either fall behind in farm, or suffer damage. Be aware that this aggression will most likely draw the jungler's attention, so wards or asking for the jungler to be ready to countergank is crucial. Be aware that spamming [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] will deplete your mana rapidly. If you are getting low on mana, using your Noxious Blast is a cheap, powerful alternative, and is preferred until you have more points into Twin Fang. Harass to save mana: [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/q.png]- AA Harass: [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/q.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png]-[imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] After 6, using your [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png] to stun will most likely net you a kill. If you can't land the stun (they are playing too passive to engage you), remember that [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png] slows as well. WARDING IS EXTREMELY CRUCIAL. Cassiopeia is very weak to ganks, and can easily be camped for kills if you don't ward properly.

This is where Cassiopeia really shines. By now, your [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/q.png] and [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] should be hitting very hard. A full rotation of your spells should easily take opponents down. Your constant DPS with [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] is very effective at taking objectives, as well as the AOE effect of your [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png]. When taking objectives such as dragon or blue/red buffs, wait for the enemy team to funnel towards you to use your [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png]. Landing this will most likely turn a battle in your favor. In these mid game teamfights, remember to kite in between your spells. This will make you much harder to pin down and most likely split their focus. Stay in the back and kite them as they come towards you. Ask for Blue Buff whenever possible. Running oom in a teamfight is a nice way to be deadweight.

Late game, Cassiopeia still puts out a lot of damage, and provides a lot of utility for your team. By now [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/w.png] should be a powerful zoning tool in small areas, and your damage should be high enough to punish anything that comes towards you. Everyone should be buying wards so stay as a group to avoid being caught out (unless you have a splitpusher such as [imgsmall=champ/shen.png][imgsmall=champ/shaco.png][imgsmall=champ/nidalee.png]. Your [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png] does an instant amount of burst and will CC the enemy team for a while, so Cassiopeia is ideal for stopping key objectives such as Baron. Ward often and do not get caught since your lack of escapes will most likely spell the end for you.

In teamfights, DO NOT USE YOUR [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/e.png] UNLESS SOMEONE IS POISONED. You need this spell to be up as often as possible, since it provides a constant stream of damage. Remember to kite in between your spells. This will make you much harder to pin down and most likely split their focus. Stay in the back and kite them as they come towards you. Your Miasma combined with the slow from [imgsmall=items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] should provide a powerful zoning tool to keep your back line safe. Use your [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png] as they start funneling into your carries. Most likely, you'll have to use it to protect yourself and your AD Carry from threats such as Elise, Jarvan,and Zed. If you can surprise them as they run in a group, hitting [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png] on their whole team will most likely win the fight if your team follows up. Objectives such as Dragon or baron can make [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png] easy to land. Stand in the back of the pit, and as the enemy funnels in towards your team, use your [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png]. This is also a bit risky since if you don't win the fight, you are stuck in the pit with no esacpes unless you have flash. Having an oracles and baiting baron can turn games easily into your favor since it makes landing your [imgsmall=skills/cassiopeia/r.png] very easy if the enemy is blind. Above all, stay near your carries, unless you see an opening to kill the opposing carry. The longer you stay alive, the more damage you will put out. Opponents that can lock you down or keep you from using your spells are your worst enemies: [imgsmall=champ/vi.png][imgsmall=champ/jarvaniv.png][imgsmall=champ/amumu.png][imgsmall=champ/kassadin.png][imgsmall=champ/chogath.png]

This section will include an analysis of lane matchups you may go up against and how to play vs them. - [img=champ/ahri.png]: This is a decent matchup that depends on the players you face. A good Ahri will be devastating with her mobility and her disables. Start Boots if you aren’t confident and try to dodge the Charm/Orb as best as you can, moving in for a q when she goes for a last hit. After 6, if she jumps at you, try to land your ulti since she needs to be facing you for most of her damage. Don't underestimate her Foxfire damage. - [img=champ/akali.png]: A tough matchup after 6 since her mobility will allow her to dodge your spells with ease. Harass her pre-6 with your combos and stay away from her bubbles. Don’t let her proc a mark on you, you’ll want to stay at the highest possible HP. After 6, play much more passively, and save your Miasma and ulti if she jumps at you. If you see her run at you, you can run away or put down your Miasma where she will land after jumping and try to land some combos. She has to face you if she wants to proc the mark so try to use the slow from your Miasma. Keep track of how many dashes she has left so you can retaliate when she runs out. Luckily, Akali is not picked very often. - [img=champ/anivia.png]: Fairly easy lane imo. Use your q’s mobility boost to dodge effectively and strike back with your spells. If she lands a stun on you, be prepared to strike back since her pre-6 combo should not kill you in 1 go. Her egg is annoying, but remember that once she’s in her egg, you can kill it REALLY fast with your spammable spells. After 6, push as hard as her and run if you get hit by a stun. If you dodge it, punish her with your spells. You can stop her ulti channel with your ultimate, which negates a lot of her sustained damage. - [img=champ/annie.png]: Pretty easy pre-6. If she saves her stuns to harass you with a combo, she’s missing farm and you should be able to out farm her. If she doesn’t save her stun, you can punish her with almost no retaliation compared to your damage. After 6, care for her stun bear, otherwise, same concept. If you want to play risky, you can try to flash over the area of her stun and ulti her to kill her, but it’s ill-advised since if you get hit by it, you’re pretty dead. Do not let her roam. Mercury Treads are recommended. - [img=champ/brand.png]: This can be a hard lane if you can’t stay in lane. Dodge his pillars and stay behind minions to avoid getting stunned. If you dodge a pillar, throw a few spells out and back off because he can turn around and hit you hard with a combo. Your ulti should really beat his in a 1v1 so don’t be afraid to use it as long as you use it before he hits you with a stun. Mercury Treads are recommended. - [img=champ/diana.png]: Easy matchup pre 6, way harder after 6. Like the Akali matchup, take advantage of your range early on and make last hitting a living hell for her. Play aggressive early and don’t let her farm. After 6, play passive, if she hits a Q, you’re going to get hit hard. If you are about even on HP with her, try to turn around and ulti as she dashes towards you. Push your lane, don’t let her roam or kill you, or suffer the consequences. - [img=champ/evelynn.png]: Skill matchup. A good Evelynn will be a pain, constantly pushing, roaming, and dodging your spells. Harass her when she goes in to farm, and push the tower down as fast as you can when she starts to roam. Pink wards are key to stop her from ambushing you, or from ganking other lanes. - [img=champ/fiddlesticks.png]: Sort of annoying, depending on the player you’re playing against. He will set up ganks with ease with his fear, so ward often. Don’t get in his fear drain combo and try to punish him if he uses his E to harass you. There isn’t much you can do if he uses it on a minion and it bounces to you. After 6, remember that you have a stun to cancel his drain, just don’t get caught in his Crowstorm. Mercury Treads are recommended. - [img=champ/fizz.png]: This lane can be really hard since again, mobility will wreak Cassiopeia. If he jumps at you, back off and try to lane at least a Q. If you know his spells are on cooldown after harassing him, you can hit him with a few spells, just back off because Seastone Trident will really start hurting you. After 6, play very passive because if he lands a shark, you probably will die. If the Fizz doesn’t play aggressive, bully him out of lane. - [img=champ/galio.png]: This lane is near impossible against good Galio players. You cannot harass him out of lane since your spells tickle him. His eye burst will hit hard so avoid it the best you can. Don’t waste all your mana on harassing him, farm the best you can and ask your jungler for ganks. Be careful of his Flash + Ulti combo to set up ganks. - [img=champ/gragas.png]: This is similar to the Ahri lane because to survive, you have to dodge the spells he/she throws at you. Don’t get close to him or he will hit you with an E-Q combo. If so, try to hit him back with similar damage. You can hit him hard, and probably trade with him, but move in odd patterns to dodge his barrels. His sustain is quite high so try to invest in some sustain as well. - [img=champ/heimerdinger.png]: Easy as hell, whenever he comes near you just throw some spells down and watch his health melt. Dodge the grenade and you’ll be fine. Count the minions near him and make sure there are 3 closer to him before you. This will prevent a lot of his damage from his rockets. You out range his turrets and out dps him so there’s no way you should lose this lane. - [img=champ/janna.png]: Stay at max range, don’t let her run up and E-W-Q for free. Hit her from afar and her tornadoes should be easy to dodge. She will farm and pushes like a beast so try to do the same. - [img=champ/karma.png]: She farms well, but in no way can trade with your dps. Careful for her strong baiting potential with her shield and potential to set up ganks. - [img=champ/karthus.png]: Fairly easy lane. Don’t be afraid to throw spells around. If you want to trade with him, do so, but move around in between spells so he can’t hit his spam. Don’t stay in his Defile for long unless you’re chasing him with low HP. He has almost no defense vs you as long as you dodge his Q’s. - [img=champ/kassadin.png]: His silence is especially crippling for you since you need time to lay down your damage. Try to hit your Q as he runs towards you to harass you pre-6. AA's and Noxious Blast will keep farming hard for him pre-6. After 6, stay far back and just farm with your Q. Mercury Treads are recommended. - [img=champ/katarina.png]: Skill matchup. Most Kat’s will run up and Q-E-W and start zig-zagging away. It is really hard to react to this, or hit your spells since all she has to do is run with her superior MS. Try to land a W where she will land from shunpo and hit some E’s as she runs. If she starts ulting you, turn around and ulti. It should be fairly obvious to predict her aggression so try to punish her for doing unnecessary aggression. - [img=champ/kayle.png]: She is extremely strong early game, and a huge bully. Abuse your range, but don't get close to her. She will push fairly easy so jungler ganks can be very useful. As long as she doesn't snowball, you should have more teamfight presence than her (besides her ulti). - [img=champ/kennen.png]: Fairly easy. Stay behind the minions to avoid his main source of damage, his shurikens. Harass him outta the lane as he tries to last hit. If he has to last hit with his Q, you’re doing good. If he rushes at you, dodge his stun the best you can, and hit him as he’s running or throw down your Miasma to make your spells easier to land. Stay away from his ulti, if he stuns you in his ulti, it’s game. If you have to, ulti to escape that circle of death. - [img=champ/khazix.png]: Start Cloth Armor and rush a Seeker’s Armguard. Bully him around if he focuses on leveling up and farming. If he jumps on you, kite him around and trade with him, he should run out of mana relatively fast. Be careful of his burst after 6, and if you die to him, you may want to invest in a Giant’s Belt, Chain Vest, etc. Be careful at level 2, make sure you hit level 2 first. - [img=champ/leblanc.png]: Pre-6, harass her as much as possible to deny her farm. If she uses a q-w combo on you, run with her until the silence is done and punish her. Push her lane as much as possible to deny her farm and ward your lane to avoid ganks. If you can deny her farm and play passive after 6, you kinda win the lane. After 6, don’t even come near her, farm as far away as possible, sort of like the Kassadin match up. Mercury Treads are recommended. - [img=champ/lux.png]: She will abuse her range advantage if she’s good. If you can get up in her face, hit her with everything you’ve got. Dodging is a must with this one, don’t sit near your caster minions and keep quick reflexes to dodge her stun. After 6, don’t underestimate her burst. She will kill you REALLY fast if she lands a stun so avoid this at all costs. If you can avoid her stuns and get up in her face, you will win. - [img=champ/malzahar.png]: This can be a challenging lane. Stay away from minions with his e on them and hit him when he tries to farm with it. His q should be easily dodged with your mobility from your q in a 1v1 situation. Be careful against him if he uses his e to harass you. After 6, try to use your ulti as soon as you see him put down a w because that will often signal his upcoming combo. - [img=champ/masteryi.png]: This guy is really annoying, but as long as he doesn’t get fed, he should drop off late game. In laning phase, stay away when he tries to q the caster minions to farm. After that, you are free to attack him, until his cooldowns come up. Be aware of your mana and don’t harass him too much since Meditate will heal all of it up. After 6, you can harass him and ulti when he’s meditating, for a free kill (unless he uses his ulti to run away). - [img=champ/mordekaiser.png]: Easy lane since you break his shield so fast. If he comes up to e your caster minions for farm, or even try to q the minions, hit him with some spells. Be aware of how fast your health drops because he can sustain in a fight for a long time with spell vamp and his ulti. Ask for ganks as much as possible since he auto pushes. You can break his shield fast but watch out for your health. - [img=champ/morgana.png]: A fairly easy lane. If she uses w to farm, use your q to farm. Her stuns are fairly easy to dodge, and you can easily trade with her as long as you don’t get stunned. Be careful about using your ulti because her shield can block it. After she gets some Doran’s Rings and/or a Catalyst, focus on farming, because she will sustain in lane for a LONG time. - [img=champ/orianna.png]: A decent lane depending on the player. Use your mobility to your advantage, if you can dodge her Q-W combo, you have a 3 sec window of punishing her. Her AA’s will hurt quite a lot so be careful on committing to a kill. Careful for her burst and her ability to set up ganks. - [img=champ/ryze.png]: Punish him as much as possible levels 1-6. Early game, you can easily push him around. After he gets some items and his ulti, play more passively, but keep up the harass and don’t get too close to him, unless you have a big lead on him. If you can deny him farm and experience before 6, you should be much more effective than him late game, although he still will hurt because he’s Ryze. You will outrange him, so abuse that. - [img=champ/sion.png]: This can be a hard lane depending on the player you play against. Try not to get in range of his q because his combos will hurt a lot. You can pop his shield with a few spells, but it’ll take some kiting. If you do manage to pop his shield, hit him as hard as you can until his shield comes up again. Ask for ganks because he should be pushing pretty hard. Mercury Treads are recommended. - [img=champ/swain.png]: Easy lane as long as you can dodge well. If he snares you, it’ll hurt a ton with his full combo after 6. Pre-6, don’t let him push you around and try to bully him out of lane as much as possible. After 6, you will win trades as long as he doesn’t land a snare and you don’t miss your spells. - [img=champ/talon.png]: Pre-6, poke him down. If he jumps on you at level 4, you can out trade him if he starts running. Post-6, be careful for his burst and don't ulti randomly. His jump will land him behind you, making your ulti really hard to hit. - [img=champ/twistedfate.png]: He has long range and good ability to set up ganks, and he will often get fed off of his ulti ganks. In the actual lane, bully him if he is passive and stay away from him if he has a yellow card or is picking a card. If he has a blue card and is going for a hit with it, harass him. His cards are fairly easily to dodge, just hope your teammates don’t die too much to his ganks. Push the lane and take his turret ASAP to prevent his roaming. - [img=champ/veigar.png]: This lane should be really easy early on since most Veigar players don’t know how to play him that well. Harass him to deny him farm, and be careful when he runs towards you because that signals either a burst, or a gank. If you are stuck inside his stun (not actually stunned), try to ulti him to avoid his big burst. After 6, be much more careful because his burst will hit you in 1 go and his stun can set up an easy gank. Build Negatron Cloak, Giant’s Belt or QSS if you are getting killed. Mercury Treads are recommended. - [img=champ/viktor.png]: A good Viktor is going to kill you. Stay away from him at lvl 1-3 because his Q can hit you hard for relatively little mana cost. At lvl 4, he’ll start maxing his laser. You can avoid this fairly easily since if he uses it at max range it’s pretty easy to see coming. If he runs up to use it, it’s almost impossible to dodge, so stay out of range of that. If he misses, hit him with everything you’ve got. Once he has Ulti, play very careful because he will burst you easily in 1 go. The silence is surprisingly crippling so be careful of that. - [img=champ/xerath.png]: This is sort of like the Gragas lane. Remember to dodge his q harass and remember it’s on a fairly short cooldown. If you see him siege up, run in an odd pattern then hit him back with some spells. Avoid trading with him if you can because he outranges you so if you’re low, he can hit you easily, you can’t. Ask for ganks if you’re having trouble. - [img=champ/zed.png]: Start Cloth Armor and rush a Seeker’s Armguard, bully him around when he goes for a last hit. If he uses his spells for last hitting, out farm him. Do not be afraid to push him around after he uses his spells because his energy costs are really high. Be careful after 6, his burst is high. Invest in a Chain Vest or Giant’s Belt if you are having trouble. - [img=champ/ziggs.png]: This can also be a hard lane. Don’t let him farm up, it’ll be the end of your team and you late game. Dodge his Q (usually aimed at the caster minions or you) then retaliate with some spells. Move in between Twin Fangs so he won’t place a minefield under you or hit you with his q. If you successfully dodge his spells, you’ll win the lane handily. - [img=champ/zyra.png]: Pretty simple. Use your Q’s mobility to dodge. Her spells have a pretty large delay on them and should be simple to dodge. Her team fight is scary since her ulti is so freakin’ broken. Avoid spells and this is easy, get hit and suffer massive hurt. Her plants do quite a lot of damage so be careful of that too.
