Hello everyone, this is my second guide, yes i will try to publish a few each day and always after publish keep some days in the distance to leave suggestions and potential corrections open. So olaf.....sigh.....This neckbearded hobo noone can kill. Long story short he is the bane of every duelist. His sustain and chasing potential and the fact that he literally gives zero fucks about all your hard CC brings people to the edge. BUT some people just love making 5 people useless and even take a flying shit on the "counterpicks" so for these people i bring you a guide on how to Brolaf.

Olafs earlygame is all about the tryhard. Poke and provoke. His sustain and his W will make you win any extended trades and his Q or E burst depending on your foe will have you win your lane by garuantee unless your opponent is mobile or knows how to dodge your attacks. It may seem easy but do not be fooled by the simplicity of the strategy. As olaf you have to think carefully and know how to win your trades. Your enemy can bait you to poke too hard so you have no mana, disabling your Q and W. if you are low on mana fall back immediately. Your laning phase is strong but you have to be very sure what you do will be in your favor. and NEVER overestimate your own sustain. you may have stupid lifeleach and can ignore their CC, but if they are mobile or in any way faster than you and you really decided to towerdive them you will die, most likely for nothing. Decisionmaking is key.

Midgame is where you become the pest. Having your core items and decent stats now should help you dive the enemy team in skirmishes or the first full teamfights. Again you have to have good ideas of what could happen and anticipate the worst results. as Olaf you make their cc useless but you can still be outplayed if you just run in like an idiot crossing thumbs. It is best to provoke fights in cornered areas like the Jungle or trap them between teammates. Since you are the one who dives the group YOLO style you have to bear that you will act as an initiator so make your team clear you will dive, set up a proper follow and by the love of yi DO NOT miss your Q or get caught out from it. You have to mind your ult does not give you ignore for unit colision so you can be body blocked by their tank or by a trundle/anivia wall. If you go in, over all else be damn sure you cant be stopped.

Lategame is dependant on you. having your full build you will, still, be your teams main initiator. Here you have to play it out smart, more so than in the early and midgame phase. Here you are basically only All or nothing. Your poke will grow ineffective and your E will tickle their tanks. So you have to have your team zone out whoever is on par with you so you reach their squishies and all out them. If you manage to play it out well and demolish their backline the fight is, unless their tank wrecks your mates, surely won. if you get outplayed and die you can count on that the enemy will score at least 3 out of 5 kills or even an ace. So bear in mind that you will likely be responsible for the teamfights' outcome.

Olaf is a champion who has carry potential and can also serve as an initiator. Olaf will by many be called a noobchamp because of your spammable 300+ true damage and your dumb sustain, however he is someone you will want to play out smart. You will in most, if not all cases, all out them and either win or lose. Olaf is strong in all phases however he will have different strengths and weaknesses depending on the phase. What is dangerous about olaf is your confidence as a player, you have to be ready to make heavy adaptions to your playstyle with him. You can be bursted early, Kyted mid and outplayed Lategame so depending on how the fight goes on you will at least 2x shift the way you plan your plays out. but one thing will not change. pressing R and dive the enemy while yelling LEROY at the top of your lungs.
