There is no real preference to what you should get first. I usually just get blasting wand first since the gp/5 doesn't help much when you're going to upgrade it right away.

Then build towardsrabadons-deathcap

Finally void-staff

After zhonyas-hourglass quicksilver-sash

Read Item Chapter section for more in-depth of other items you can get between the course of getting a deathcap.

LeBlanc
Sigil of Silence missile speed increased to 2000 from 1400
Distortion
Cooldown reduced to 18/16/14/12/10 seconds from 20/18/16/14/12
Casting Mimic: Distortion no longer disables LeBlanc's ability to return to Distortion's origin point and vice versa

Thoughts:

Quality of life buff.

  • The increased missle speed will make it easier to q-w harass without messing up. It's good that you aren't penalized as much for being quick with the fingers to q-w really fast.
  • The cooldown reduction on distortion is unnecessary. It's already a 7-8 second CD with blue buff at max level so now it'll be close to 6 seconds. (Which is pretty ridiculous and awesome).
  • The choice to which location you want to disort to if you mimic distortion is pretty cool. This will be used on a few occasions because you rarely w-r in the first place. It's only used in a sticky situation and you're probably long gone afterwards anyways. Nothing to be excited about.

Introduction
Disclaimer: I honestly do not play Leblanc unless specific champions are chosen before me. I will explain when to choose her and which champions counter her. This is my first guide, be easy on me. :(

Ign: Undimininished

Hi, I'm Undiminininininiinininininiinished and I play a lot of Leblanc in ranked. I recently got to 2k and went up to 2.1k in just a few days. I wouldn't say Leblanc was how I got to 2k, but she definitely helped me get to platinum. I love playing Leblanc and a lot of my friends get annoyed by how much I praise her. ~LEBLANC~

Leblanc is a champion that is fairly easy to pick up, but takes a while to perfect. In draft pick, avoid picking leblanc until the enemy team has chosen their ap carry. At lower ELO's it is a lot safer to pick because not many people know what counters Leblanc. The higher ELO you are, the more dangerous it becomes to pick leblanc before their ap carry pick. It is commonly known that she falls off substantially as the game drags on. What people don't know is that she is not as useless as people perceive her to be in late game.
In this guide I'll be explaining how to win your lane as well as maintain a presence throughout the course of the game.

As you can see my win rate isn't particularly high. Only a few of my games was I counterpicked because I rage fp Leblanc. A lot of the times, I do very well, but I was unable to carry hard enough for my team. It is unforunate, but Leblanc does not carry as hard as many other ap carries. Leblanc however, can definitely snowball a game if any other lane is doing well too. Don't get me wrong, I've definitely carried games where the team just raged at their mid and end up giving up. Hopefully you have them too because it is extremely entertaining.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Fun to play
  • Hard to gank
  • High burst starting from level 3
  • If you destroy them in lane, it's a good feeling
  • High roaming potential

Cons:

  • Many mistakes will be made of your combo.
  • Attack animation is hard to get use to.
  • Extremely hard to farm off tower.
  • Very easy to mess up [skills/leblanc/w.png] over walls and such.
  • Very Squishy
  • Requires high map awareness.
  • Positioning is key.
Masteries
[http://i.imgur.com/0kOuj.jpg]

I mainly use 21-0-9. There shouldn't be much of a variation because there is no other approach that is as effective as maximizing your damage and increasing mana regen. The extended buff duration is just a bonus.

You can also spec into minion damage if you don't care about 2 extra ability power. It'll help you last hit a lot better.

If you happen to pick Leblanc and are counter picked, I suggest taking 21-9-0; speccing into magic resist and increased health/base health.

Champions like these: [champ/sion.png] [champ/ryze.png] [champ/leesin.png] [champ/warwick.png]

Marks:
  • 9x Magic penetration
No Alternative

There are no other runes that compare to the usefulness of these runes. Magic penetration is extremely important to take which is one of the reasons why I grab an early [items/sorcerers-shoes.png]

Seals:
  • 9x Mana per level regen
Alternative:
  • 9x Flat mana regen
  • 5x Mana per level regen / 4x Flat mana regen

Mana regeneration is extremely important on Leblanc because she must spam skills to last hit efficiently as well as kill/zone the enemy lane effectively. I take mana per level regen because I don't spam skills until post 6. If you want to use your skills more often pre 6 you are welcome to take flat mana regen. I just don't like it because it gives a measly 3.7/5 regen which is not much better than the masteries it self. To be honest you won't notice the difference unlike the mana per level.

Glyphs:
  • 9x Flat AP
Alternative:
  • 9x AP per level
  • 9x Magic penetration

I am currently using flat AP more often than AP per level. Leblanc doesn't benefit from more AP in late game, but she needs it more in the earlier stages to burst down enemy targets. I never tried magic penetration, but more magic penetration is never bad.

Quints:
  • 3x Flat AP
Alternative:
  • 3x Magic penetration
  • 2x Health quints 1x Flat AP

Flat AP quints are the only quints I use for leblanc. They are the most helpful to secure kills early on in the game and it also makes me feel good to know that I have 15 flat ap for doing nothing. If you use any others you are not using up your potential burst damage.
Summoner Spells
[summoners/ignite.png][summoners/flash.png]

Explanation:

Ignite and Flash are the only summoner spells I use on Leblanc. No other spells can compare to the effectiveness of flash and ignite.

[summoners/ignite.png]

There are countless times where ignite got me a kill that I wouldn't have gotten had I not had ignite. Ignite is also really useful to reduce the healing. There have been one too many times when I full combo someone and they live because this bitch [champ/soraka.png] used all her spells to save that champion. Take ignite, you'll regret it if you don't.

[summoners/flash.png]

Flash is just a "get out of jail" card. If you play Leblanc right, you will never need flash to save yourself, but it is always there for when you make a mistake. The triple blink is OP which is why it is so hard to kill you. Give into peer pressure, everyone else has it. ;)
Skills
I recommend smartcasting all your abilities.

[skills/leblanc/p.png] Passive: Mirror Image

(Innate): When LeBlanc is brought below 40% health, she instantly becomes stealthed for half a second. When the stealth fades, she creates a Mirror Image of herself that can move, deals no attack damage, has 53 + (17 x level) less health, and lasts for up to 8 seconds. This can only occur once per minute, regardless of cooldown reduction. The illusion's autoattacks will proc on-hit effects (including damage).
Leash Range: 1125 (estimate)

Explanation:

This passive is decent. It can save your life either by the enemy team attacking it accidently like fools, or by rendering Leblanc untargetable in the split second this passive activates. The image can block skillshots and is controllable with ctrl + click, but I wouldn't bother with it. Sometimes you are able to juke enemies out by making your clone walk a different direction than yourself. You should try it yourself, but don't get your self killed by not holding "ctrl" and walk somewhere really stupid.

[skills/leblanc/q.png] Q: Sigil of Silence

(Active): LeBlanc projects an orb towards her target, dealing magic damage and marking the target for 3.5 seconds. If the target takes damage from one of LeBlanc's abilities, the mark will trigger, dealing magic damage and silencing the target for 2 seconds.
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Range: 700
Projectile Speed: 2000

Cost: 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90 mana
Initial Magic Damage: 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+0.6 per ability power)

Secondary Magic Damage: 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+0.3 per ability power)

Total Magic Damage: 90 / 150 / 210 / 270 / 330 (+0.9 per ability power)

Explanation:

This is her main spell and most of her combos revolve around proccing the sigil. Most of the time you will use your [skills/leblanc/r.png] right after [skills/leblanc/q.png]. Activating the sigil is EXTREMELY important because it deals extra damage as well as silences the target for 2 seconds. This is so effective during the laning phase because it shuts down the opposing AP carry and allows you to win brief exchanges easily.

This is also an easy way to harass because the range is larger than most other AP carries' skills. This combined with boots allows for safe harass.

Update: [items/deathfire-grasp.png] is a range of 750 now. It exceeds your q range so its easier to do the combo.

[skills/leblanc/w.png] W: Distortion

(Active): LeBlanc rapidly dashes to a target location, dealing magic damage to units near the location. In the following 3 seconds, she can activate Distortion again to blink back to her starting location.
Range to Center of AoE: 600
Radius of AoE: 250

Cost: 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 mana
Cooldown: 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 seconds

Magic Damage: 85 / 125 / 165 / 205 / 245 (+0.6 per ability power)

Explanation:

This spell is the reason as to why she is so hard to gank. Even if you use this spell offensively, you can just press w again and you're practically safe. You usually use [skills/leblanc/w.png] right after [skills/leblanc/q.png] if you don't use your ultimate because it is easier to land compared to [skills/leblanc/e.png]. This spell can be unreliable at times because there are some walls that look doable, but actually aren't. You will look like a fool when you misjudge the amount you can distort, but continue to play her, and you'll learn. She can distort over walls that Graves can dash over. There are some walls that Leblanc can distort over that graves cannot dash through, but you have to aim it pretty accurately.

Note: Level 5 distortion, 3 dorans, and a blasting wand, will instantly kill caster minions.

[skills/leblanc/e.png] E: Ethereal Chains

(Active): LeBlanc flings illusionary chains in a line towards a target location. If it hits an enemy unit, it will deal initial magic damage and leash to it, slowing their movement speed by 25% while the leash remains. If the target remains leashed after 2 seconds, the target takes additional magic damage and is rooted for a few seconds.
Cost: 80 mana
Cooldown: 10 seconds
Range: 950
Leash Range: 1000

Initial Magic Damage: 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 (+0.5 per ability power)
Delayed Magic Damage: 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 (+0.5 per ability power)

Total Magic Damage: 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+1.0 per ability power)

Root Duration: 1 / 1.3 / 1.6 / 1.9 / 2.2 second(s)

Explanation:

This skillshot is pretty hard to land during the laning phase if your target is near minions. Hitting [skills/leblanc/e.png] determines whether or not you get the kill. I am still not the greatest Leblanc player after 40 ranked games of her because I cannot consistently land them during crucial moments of the fight. The scaling on Ethereal Chains is amazing, and landing it will drastically increase your damage and utility in a fight.

Note: Landing [skills/leblanc/e.png] SLOWS the champion hit, so if you are running/kiting away, hitting [skills/leblanc/e.png] can easily stop the chaser. It is almost impossible for the enemy to chase after being hit by this, unless he has [summoners/flash.png] and/or [summoners/ghost.png].

Note 2: The range on Ethereal Chains is ABSURD. It has the same range, if not farther, as the original distance Ethereal Chains goes to hook on something. Something I love to do is when I distort in a position to land Ethereal Chains is to walk forward with the target and [skills/leblanc/w.png] back JUST before [skills/leblanc/e.png] procs the stun, so the enemy has no chance of returning the damage. (I think there is a glitch with [skills/leblanc/e.png] because I can [skills/leblanc/w.png] back and still have [skills/leblanc/e.png] proc the bind if I time it just right. Imagine the chain stretching across the entire river.

[skills/leblanc/r.png] R: Mimic

(Active): LeBlanc casts the previous spell she cast. The mimicked spell deals significantly increased damage.

Cost: 100 / 50 / 0 mana
Cooldown: 40 / 32 / 24 seconds

Damage Increase: 10 / 25 / 40 %

Explanation:

Q-R

[skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/r.png]

The infamous "No skill killer", a rightfully earned title. There is almost no skill required to bring someone down to at least 50% health. However, [skills/leblanc/r.png] isn't just for [skills/leblanc/q.png], it can also be used as a fantastic double escape ability. (Coupled with flash, it's a triple blink). There are also moments where someone has stayed in lane too long and a quick w-r-q is all you need to reach the champion to punish his mistake. Do not pair [skills/leblanc/e.png] with [skills/leblanc/r.png]. There are only rare occasions where it actually ocmes in handy such as keeping a tanky champion locked down for your team to catch up.

Tip:

If you have blue and there is nothing going on around you, it is ok to use w-r to farm a large minion wave. You can also use w-w(return)-r-r(return) to quickly push a lane and back safely.

Skill Order
[skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/w.png] - [skills/leblanc/e.png] or [skills/leblanc/q.png] - Whichever you didn't get.

[skills/leblanc/r.png] > [skills/leblanc/q.png] > [skills/leblanc/w.png] > [skills/leblanc/e.png]

Prioritize the ultimate and q. The reason why [skills/leblanc/w.png] is maxed before [skills/leblanc/e.png] is because of the lower CD and higher base value scaling. [skills/leblanc/e.png] has a flat CD and lower base value scaling.

At level 3, you have a choice to get level 2 [skills/leblanc/q.png] or [skills/leblanc/e.png]. If a jungler is going to gank between level 3-4, get [skills/leblanc/e.png]. If there is nothing going on get [skills/leblanc/q.png].
Reason being is because even if you land a q-w-e, you will be close to oom afterwards, leaving the enemy champion to freely harass and not worry about dieing. (Assuming they have pots)

I will discuss more about conserving mana and harass during the early game section.

Item Builds
Start: [items/boots-of-speed.png] and [items/health-potion3.png]

Explanation:

Most efficient item build to start out with. There is no other start that compares to the utility of boots and 3 pots for Leblanc. Leblanc is susceptible to early trades so she must have pots to sustain herself.

What do I buy for the first back?

1. [items/dorans-ring.png] [items/sorcerers-shoes.png] [items/health-potion3.png] [items/sight-ward.png]

Requirements that need to be met: Must have at least 2-3 pots and a ward after buying both one DORAN and SORC. Dorans rings are the strongest items to get because they provide cheap hp, mana regen, and ap. Remember, Leblanc is most effective early game, so push the advantage at all times. Rushing sorc boots is actually really effective because you will be doing true damage to them if they did not grab any magic resist items.

2. [items/dorans-ring.png] [items/dorans-ring.png] [items/health-potion3.png] [items/sight-ward.png]

Is usually the alternative if you are unable to afford #1.

3. [items/sorcerers-shoes.png] [items/dorans-ring.png] [items/oracles-elixir.png] [items/health-potion3.png] [items/sight-ward.png]

If you are ridiculously fed and got 3-4 kills in less than 10-15 minutes, this is a good way to go to press your advantage. Since I pick Leblanc to counter specific champions, I usually have enough for this to be able to roam with ease. Only go this approach if you are knowledgeable of where the jungler is and if the ap mid does not have scary synergy with the jungler.

Anything else is bad news and you are probably not farming well or are getting dumped on in lane. If so, just grab one doran's ring and as many pots as you can to sustain yourself in lane.

Next:

After getting at most: [items/dorans-ring.png] [items/dorans-ring.png]

UPDATE: I will prioritize DFG over deathcap now. The increase in ap and the range is too good to delay the DFG.

Get:

[items/deathfire-grasp.png]

SMARTCAST ITEM SLOT 1 AND ALWAYS PUT DFG IN ITEM SLOT 1 WHEN YOU PURHCASE IT. (You can also change the key binding from smart cast item slot 1 if it is uncomfortable to reach over to "1")

With the Spectator mode update deathfire grasp is now a higher priority than deathcap for Leblanc. The range increase is the biggest buff to the item. The items needed to build DFG is nice, but the range is the most important thing. DFG's cast range is a little big bigger than your [skills/leblanc/q.png] now which is really nice.

Use the combo: [items/deathfire-grasp.png] - [skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/r.png] - [skills/leblanc/w.png] - [skills/leblanc/e.png]

Then:

[items/rabadons-deathcap.png] OR [items/void-staff.png]

This depends on how much mr the other team has. If more than 3 enemy champions have more than 100 magic resist, you get [items/void-staff.png]. If not, just get [items/deathfire-grasp.png].

Get whatever you didn't get.

Finally:

[items/zhonyas-hourglass.png] or [items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] or [items/quicksilver-sash.png]

Any item with hp will do. I like to get [items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png] if I'm dominating. Realistically, [items/zhonyas-hourglass.png] is the item you should be going for because no matter what you do, you will always be very very squishy. I get QSS when they always catch me in mid distortion or when they do anything they can to keep me locked down by CC. (Ex: Flash ult by [champ/warwick.png] )

What about other items?

Do not get any other item other than the ones I stated because they do not increase your burst potential and you should have blue whenever it is available.

Summary:

What your early-mid game should look like:

[items/sorcerers-shoes.png] [items/dorans-ring.png] [items/dorans-ring.png] [items/dorans-ring.png] [items/health-potion3.png] [items/sight-ward.png]

What your mid-late game should look like:

[items/sorcerers-shoes.png] [items/dorans-ring.png] [items/dorans-ring.png] [items/dorans-ring.png] [items/rabadons-deathcap.png]

What your late-mid game should look like:

[items/sorcerers-shoes.png] [items/dorans-ring.png][items/rabadons-deathcap.png] [items/deathfire-grasp.png] [items/void-staff.png] [items/zhonyas-hourglass.png]

Item Explanations
Why these items are good on Leblanc:

[items/dorans-ring.png]

Doran ring is an early game item and Leblanc is an early game champion. Thus it would make sense to buy these because they provides so much in stats at such a cost effective price. Stacking at most three of them is crucial to push your advantage and stay a threat throughout the game. If you don't get doran rings and rush a blasting rod, you will have more AP, BUT the downside is that you will have less health against heavy burst.

[items/sorcerers-shoes.png]

The only boots that increase the damage you do. You do not need [items/mercurys-treads.png] because you'll probably die if you get caught by any type of CC mid or late game. You do not need [items/ionian-boots-of-lucidity.png] because magic penetration is more important and you already have 40% CDR with blue & [items/deathfire-grasp.png] or [items/morellos-evil-tome.png]. Leblanc is an assasin, which means you should be out of vision from the team until you go for the kill.

[items/rabadons-deathcap.png]

This item actually does not have a noticeable damage increase for leblanc. It's not the same as a [champ/cassiopeia.png] or [champ/kassadin.png] getting a deathcap, which is unfortunate. You still need this item because it will increase your damage. I aim for this item at around 20-25 minute mark.

Update:
[items/deathfire-grasp.png]

[highlight]The range on this item is LARGER than [skills/leblanc/q.png]. I have no problem with this item anymore. You can do a full combo with relative ease now that the range has increased. There is no compensation that you have to account for because of the range difference. This item is fantastic and reliable now which is the buff that it really needed for a long time. Always get this item now.

[items/morellos-evil-tome.png]

No longer as effective as Deathfire grasp. I don't recommend this item anymore.

[items/void-staff.png]

Enemy team got MR? LOOOL k. This item is definitely needed on Leblanc. Her damage will be dropping off from the time you have [items/deathfire-grasp.png] until you get a void staff. By the time you get a void staff the enemy team should all have some mr to counter you. You will be able to nuke their bruisers to 30% hp left and then your AD carry can easily finish the enemy team off. You must get this item sooner if their team rushed mr.

[items/zhonyas-hourglass.png]

This item is like flash to me. If I make a mistake, I can activate this skill to fix it. It makes you untargetable for 2 seconds which may be all you need to [skills/leblanc/w.png] away. The times I have used it is when I get outplayed by the enemy team and they stunned me in the middle of my [skills/leblanc/w.png] so I can't [skills/leblanc/w.png] back. I just pop the active and after the stun wears off, I distort back just in time.

[items/rylais-crystal-scepter.png]

I've actually been able to complete this item as my sixth item slot when I was ridiculously fed. I have to say, this item is ridiculously fun on Leblanc. This combined with ethreal chains slows them to a snail's pace and the slow from all your spells is too fun to watch. Realistically, the hp it gives it negligible once again and I prefer getting an hourglass with the money.

[items/warmogs-armor.png]

I've never actually finish building this, but I came very close. It's fun to see a Leblanc with 2.7hp+ and still be able to one shot some one. This is an unrealistic item, but I thought I'd include it. It's a fun item to get, and make the enemy team give up on killing you.

Items that are not as effective on Leblanc:

[items/banshees-veil.png]

This item is not effective on Leblanc. The hp and mana it provides is negligible and that small amount of mr you have won't save you. I generally do not like banshees veil because there are so many champions in LoL that can easily pop your shield. Also, if you are doing it right, more than one CC is going to be focused on you, so stopping one won't really save you. You have to realize that there is no item that can make Leblanc less squishy.

[items/abyssal-scepter.png]

This item is far too expensive for the stats it gives. It is much better to buy a void staff which is cheaper. Again, the mr is negligible since you shouldn't be hit by any big magic spells.

[items/archangels-staff.png]
Uh... no... As much as I praise spamming q-r, your cooldowns aren't as short as ryze and others that like to get this item.

[items/haunting-guise.png]

I wouldn't waste an item slot just for this item. It gives small stats, and I feel this item should be built into another bigger item. The magic penetration is good, but not worth the money.

[items/lich-bane.png]

Leblanc's attack animation is one of the worst. It has the longest delay, and you probably won't pull off an auto attack without taking considerable amounts of damage. Remember, you are an assassin, you don't want to take ages to pull off a kill. This item is much better on other ap carries. (Ex: twisted fate)

[items/mejais-soulstealer.png]

There is too much to lose for if you die with this. Even though I imagine I would get a lot of stacks, I much prefer using that potential item slot for another dorans. In normal games and lower ELO, a mejaj will be effective, but you give up hp for it. Leblanc is far too squishy to have a snowball item.

[items/guardian-angel.png]

This item is not going to save you. This item is more effective on bruisers because they have resistances to make the hp it revives you with effective. If you get revived by this item, a single AA from an ad carry late game can kill you. Pretty useless item since the armor stats it gives it pretty bad.

Levels 1 - 5
Leblanc has one of the strongest early game of the AP carries. Junglers will love to gank for you if you can land your [skills/leblanc/e.png] consistently. If you have [champ/rammus.png] [champ/maokai.png] [champ/alistar.png] call for an early gank AFTER you turn level 2.

Leblanc has a slow attack animation. There is a tiny delay after clicking something, so practice last hitting with her before playing a game. Never use spells to last hit unless you have blue, or it is a cannon minion. Last hitting of tower is a lot more difficult than other ap champions because her attack speed is very slow. You can also AA them before they reach the turret in preparation. You want to avoid last hitting off the tower. Try to balance the lane by AA'ing the minions. Since people know that Leblanc has a crappy AA animation, I end up AA'ing the whole time to try to balance the hard push. Do not freeze a lane and take unnecessary minion damage. You have very low armor and it will hurt a lot if there is more than 3 caster minions pounding on you while you wait for your minion wave to come.

Ranged minions: 1 AA before tower hit, 1 AA after.
Melee minions: 1 AA before second tower hit, 1 AA after.
Account for minion damage. Sometimes you don't even have to AA. You can also take minion aggro for a second and lean toward the OPPOSITE side of the tower. (Wraiths side) It pulls the minions away from tower damage and gives some time for your wave to come. (Do not take too much damage from this or you will be behind.)

It is really easy to go oom with Leblanc during early levels. Avoid using [skills/leblanc/e.png] unless you are going for the kill or a jungle gank. At level 1-4, you want to poke with [skills/leblanc/q.png] while maintaining more than half your mana. (Using [skills/leblanc/q.png] poke does more damage than you think, so don't think it's useless harass. [skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/w.png] is a very good poke and doesn't use much mana. It is not recommended to stay in lane if you don't have enough mana to [skills/leblanc/w.png].

Note: A lot of junglers want to kill you to prevent you from getting fed. Most of the time they will camp your lane which is why you must buy wards. It is also really hard to farm off tower with lb since her attack speed is really slow. Try to "prepare" the minions for easy last hits by hitting the casters once before they reach the tower. HOWEVER, ONCE YOU HAVE BLUE, all those problems disappear.
6 - End of Laning Phase
ALWAYS ASK FOR BLUE. YOU NEED BLUE TO DOMINATE YOUR LANE. GETTING BLUE INCREASES YOUR ROAMING POTENTIAL.

A big deciding factor of whether you win lane is whoever has more pots. If you have blue and 5 pots, you're pretty much set to win the lane for the full buff duration unless you or your team does something stupid that involves your death.

If you have blue:
(Which you should)

Immediately go to your lane and just [skills/leblanc/w.png] - [skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/r.png] him right off the bat. Congratulations, you just scared the living shit out of the person you're laning against. If he goes back, push your lane by last hitting with [skills/leblanc/q.png] and [skills/leblanc/e.png], and then roam to bot or top, whichever is squishier. It does not matter if they are pushed to turret or not, your q-r can burst any champion to 50-75% if everyone is level 6. Head back to lane and [skills/leblanc/w.png] - [skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/r.png] him again. He probably brought pots thinking he can out sustain you, but just wait another 20 seconds for your ult to come up and go for the kill. Good job, you fully utilized your first blue with Leblanc!

If you do not have blue:

(Which you shouldn't)

Ask for your jungler to gank mid for being a sore loser and not giving you the second blue. If the jungler ganks, go all in and do not miss your [skills/leblanc/e.png] or your jungler will think your garbage and not gank for you again. You can also do the standard w-q-r poke and wait a little bit longer and see if he is stupid enough to stay in lane still. It is really hard to roam without blue, but if you somehow pushed your lane or your jungler is covering for you, you still have a huge gank potential.

Big man tip: If you are feeling extra manly and they are like 70-80% hp, you can [summoners/flash.png] in range for [skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/r.png] - [skills/leblanc/w.png] - [skills/leblanc/e.png] [summoners/ignite.png] for the big man domination. Basically this goes either way: a huge success or a TROLOLOL fail.

The reason you flash first before your distortion is because 1. They are too far away to directly distort on them and 2. To proc the sigil mimic.

If taking dragon, you can use [skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/e.png] to help damage the dragon. However, DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE BLUE. You must save your skills in case the enemy tries to contest it. Usually when I don't have blue, I wait for the enemy to be baited by dragon and kill them with ease.

Roaming

Roaming generally starts after you receive blue. Do not underestimate the power of you being "MIA". If you are able to push your lane and start roaming, bot lane will definitely cower in fear next to their tower, and top lane will become less aggressive. There is something magical about denying cs just by leaving the enemies vision. You pose an even bigger threat if you are able to acquire an oracles and clear some wards.

How to roam: You want to try to give the kill to the laner that you are helping. This sounds absurd, but Leblanc does not need many items to DO DAMAGE. The only thing she needs is deathcap and DFG. Try to snowball your ally champions instead of yourself because you can only carry so much. Usually when I gank, they are pushed at tower, and a quick [skills/leblanc/w.png] over the wall followed by [skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/r.png] is enough to take them out with the help of the friendly laner.

If you are able to kill him, the enemy laner that just died will definitely shout at their mid player which furthur increases your chances of winning.
Late Game
Your role has changed from leading the fights to hiding in the dark depths of the fog to burst unsuspecting victims.

You have a few roles depending on the sitatuion:

  • You are the extreme fed one and you can kill ap or ad carry from 100% to 0% with [skills/leblanc/w.png] - [items/deathfire-grasp.png] - [skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/r.png]. You must be very sneaky and be able to distort from unpredictable locations to pull off the combo that should take less than 1-2 seconds to complete. I suggest smart casting your item use button so it is a little bit easier on the hands.
  • Their ad and/or ap carry is fed you do the same combo as above. This is assuming you are pretty fed as well.
  • You are average, but your ad carry is carrying. You do your full combo on the bruiser that is attacking your ad carry. [skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/r.png] - [skills/leblanc/w.png] - [skills/leblanc/e.png] - [summoners/ignite.png] You will definitely do 50-75% of that guys health and your ad carry can finish him off, and destroy the other team.
  • When you are trying to push a lane and grab towers there is usually a stalemate where it's a struggle to clear minion waves as fast as possible. You will try to poke the enemy team and make them low enough to make them back and get a free tower. Good news is, is that Leblanc has an amazing ability to burst someone down considerably low and force them to fountain. Coordinate your team, and tell them to not initiate and let yourself [skills/leblanc/w.png] - [skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/r.png] a carry and force them to back. After doing so, it should be easy to grab a tower because it is 4v5. This strategy is easy for second and inhibitor turrets. Make sure there are no wards in the areas you are hiding or they can completely catch you off guard and kill you in a matter of secconds.
  • Any other situation you try to hit the highest priority target as a team and pick one off as fast as you can.

Leblanc is definitely not as strong as other ap carries so you MUST make the teamfight a 4v4 sitatuion because Leblanc is pretty useless after her [items/deathfire-grasp.png] - [skills/leblanc/q.png] - [skills/leblanc/r.png] combo.

After you blow your load on someone -pun intended- try to stay alive by kiting with [skills/leblanc/e.png] and damage with [skills/leblanc/q.png]. Remember your ult is only 15 seconds with the CD from DFG and blue. I personally favor the poke damage that Leblanc has to offer and initiate after your ultimate comes back again after 15 seconds. There are countless times I accidentally baited my team into a teamfight when I was just poking them because I knew I would not die from it. (This is why I sometimes avoid ALMOST killing an enemy team because my team will think this is a fantastic oppurtunity to dive or something.)

Update:
Leblanc's late game is a little bit better now because of the [items/deathfire-grasp.png] buff. It is easier to nuke people down without putting yourself in danger.
Lane Matchups
[champ/ahri.png] Ahri

One of the easiest lanes. Leblanc is the biggest counter to Ahri, so if you're having trouble with Ahri, learn Leblanc!

Ahri is a relatively weak laner. She excels at hitting low mobility targets, doing a lot of AoE damage in teamfights, and catching people out of position.

While laning, I always play aggressively against her. I know she is extremely weak unless she hits her charm, so I make sure to q-w her as often as I can. It is very easy to zone Ahri very early because she is so squishy. At level 6, always think about killing her, or force her to back frequently.

Ahri is much better in teamfights than Leblanc is. She excels at catching people with charms and singling them out for her team to focus down. You don't want to have a 5v5 standoff for too long because eventually Ahri is going to hit someone and that victim will be instagibbed. Even if she is behind, she can be a menace with her CC, so be sure to nuke her down in teamfights if there is no one as important. (Use common sense)

Notes:
  • Trade with her early.
  • Make an effort to dodge her q's.
  • Do not EVER get hit by the charm.
  • Do not chase her too far if she ults away.
  • I prefer to poke her down with q-r and roam instead of trying to kill her.

Verdict:
  • Extremely easy lane.
  • Still has teamfight strength even if she died a lot.
  • You will fall off late game. If you die killing her late game, that is a worthy trade.

[champ/anivia.png] Anivia

Very easy lane. Anivia has a hard time landing her q's on high mobility champions. You have the ability to silence her ultimate when she wants to r-e you during lane. Most Anivia players are pretty bad in teamfights and they need a couple of items to do well.

Notes:
  • Be very aggressive against her. Need wards to prevent her form farming.
  • Use distortion to dodge her q's and punish her for missed q's.
  • When she tries to r-e you, don't just let her get free damage on you, respond back with a combo.
  • Most Anivia players will be very scared of you, so they will mostly farm a wave very quickly and back off.
  • Don't get baited by the egg. If she is sticking around with low health, there is probably a jungler nearby.

Verdict:
  • Very easy lane.
  • Has teamfight potential, but most Anivia players are very poor at it.
  • I like to try to kill her at any given moment. Poking her is alright, but she usually gets a catalyst and farms the lane then runs.

[champ/annie.png] Annie

You both have the ability to kill each other very easily at level 6. The plus side is, is that you are very mobile whereas she is not. You can out poke her with w-q-r, and you also have more single target burst.

Notes:
  • Respect her damage at level 6
  • Don't trade with her if her stun is up.
  • Try to zone her when her stun is down.
  • Trade with her when her stun is down.
  • Don't let her flash r-q-w you. YOU be the aggressor, not her.

Verdict:
  • Easy lane.
  • Her teamfights are worst than Leblanc's in my opinion because she has really low mobility.
  • I would still nuke her in fights, but there may be more valuable targets.
  • Your team can probably kite her with ease. (Even when she has flash)

[champ/brand.png] Brand

He is a weak laner vs high mobility champions. He should not be able to hit any skills on you besides his r and e. Be aggressive against him because his late game is very dependent on being very accurate with skill shots.

Notes:
  • Be aggressive against him.
  • Use distortion if necessary to dodge his skill shots.
  • You will always win the trades.
  • I always try to kill him because his w range isn't very long, and that's what he uses to farm.
  • If he ults you, try to flash or distort away from your teammates.

Verdict:
  • Very easy lane.
  • Brand's teamfight potential is unreliable, so you will know if you have to focus him or not.

[champ/cassiopeia.png] Cassiopeia

She is a strong laner and has potential to crap all over you. On the flip side, you have the potential to crap all over her as well. One thing is for sure though: she is a stronger teamfighter than you. One time, a Cass went FoN with warmogs against me and still did a lot of damage. It took her a while to get there and it was a clear victory, but she has potential to be useful even if she died a lot!

Notes:
  • Dodge her q's as much as possible.
  • Don't fight her when you are poisoned.
  • Try not to get ulted by her when you distort in to poke her.
  • Do not try to kill her unless it is for certain that she will die just by w-q-r-e.
  • I prefer to poke her down rather than risking the trade.

Verdict:
  • She does a lot more damage than you over time.
  • She is a much better teamfighter than you. (AoE and sustain damage)
  • Make sure to snipe her at all stages of the game. She is always a strong champion. (High base dammage)

[champ/fiddlesticks.png] Fiddlesticks

Easy lane. Middlesticks only counters a few champions and Leblanc is not one of them. If he tries to drain you, just silence him with your combo. You can distort out of most of his ults if you have the proper reaction time.

Notes:
  • Fear range is very small. Keep your distance and you'll be fine.
  • Silence him if he drains you.
  • At level 6, he's very easy to kill.

Verdict:
  • You will do a lot more damage than him.
  • If you crap on him hard enough, he will be completely useless. He won't have enough money to afford an hourglass and by the time he does he'll be doing no damage.

[champ/fizz.png] Fizz

This is a hard lane if you don't know what you are doing. The first time I laned against a Fizz, I got crapped on. I proceeded to write that it is an extremely hard lane for Leblanc on this very guide and I was frightened to lane against him.

Now that I have a little bit more experience vs. Fizz players I can say that he is pretty easy. From levels 1-3 you want to AA harass him as much as you can. Deny his cs and try not to use any abilities. Rely solely on AA damage because eventually he'll be losing a noticeable amount of health. Most fizz players q to you then AA you a couple of times then e away. I suggest that you immediately distort out once he q's you then turn around and q him. If he tricksters away continue to chase him and try to land a combo on him. Don't let him freely harass you. Always retaliate. Make sure to dodge his fishes. It's very hard for Fizz players to hit Leblanc since you can w away and even w-r away if the fish actually hits you. Fizz should not be able to kill you if you can avoid the fishes. Just outpoke him with q-r during lane and make sure to use it after he uses e.

Notes:
  • AA harass him in the early levels when he does no damage.
  • Play cautious when he has the potential to nuke you.
  • Trade harass, don't let him get free hits on you.
  • Dodge his ultimate as best as you can. Mimic distort if the fish hits you.
  • Q-R him when his trickster (e) is down.

Verdict:
  • Average lane if you know what you're doing. You can definitely win this if you get a jungle gank and you bait the trickster.
  • Hard as hell if you have no idea what you're doing.
  • More useful than him in teamfights. If you don't clump up, he is very easy to kill in teamfights.

[champ/galio.png] Galio

I facepalm myself when people pick this against Leblanc.

This is a very very annoying lane. He'll outpush you and most likely out cs you. You're only hope is that galio is a bad galio and you can take advantage of that. A good galio will always beat you in lane. The galio's I lose to, are the ones that max their shield first. I do close to no damage when he shields my q-r, so be careful of that. He also heals when he takes damage.

During lane, you're going to have a terrible time. He's going to constantly push your lane and completely ignore your harass. You'll be csing under turret most of the time and you'll eventually fall behind. My advice is that you continue to AA harass him as much as possible. You'll start to do damage to him at level 5 if he has not backed for a chalice yet. You will still do damage if he teleports back to lane with a chalice, so dont' lose hope if your q does nothing. Don't let galio feel comfortable in lane. I tend to q-w whenever I can and maintain my mana above 40%>.

Make sure to target others and silence galio when he ults. He is a menace in teamfights too, so try to kill their bruiser or ad carry.

Notes:
  • Have fun csing under turret.
  • Make sure to ping if he roams to other lanes.
  • AA harass him as much as possible and throw in random q's to scare him.
  • Silence his ultimate if you don't get caught in the radius.

Verdict:
  • Losing lane no matter how you look at it.
  • Don't ask for too many jungle ganks unless he has nothing to do or he is stupidly pushed up in lane.
  • Try to pull through and be effective in mid game.

[champ/gragas.png] Gragas

Very easy lane. It's very hard for him to hit his barrels on you since you can distort anytime you want. You can dodge his ultimate with distortion since he has a pretty long animation when he throws it as well as the particle speed is pretty slow. He is a melee ap caster, so you can harass him with AA and q's. Shouldn't be a problem, just poke with q-r or kill him if he is foolish. Eventually he'll be able to push his lane effectively, so it might turn into a farm fest. I usually deny him a lot of farm before that happens so I will have a clear advantage by then.

His teamfight is pretty strong if you clump up, so don't do it.

Notes:
  • AA and q harass him all throughout lane.
  • Should not take too much damage from him.
  • Easily avoidable barrels. (Ultimate and his q)
  • Don't let gragas hit your whole team with his barrels.

Verdict:
  • Easy lane, just harass him constantly.

[champ/karthus.png] Karthus

This is a farm lane. Your goal as Leblanc is to not make this a farm lane. You want to be extremely aggressive and deny his wussy q farm. All karthus players want to do is stand at tower and farm with q. Take any opportunity to harass him. Do not let him farm freely because he WILL be stronger than you in teamfights. Ahri is a much better counter Karthus from my experience since Leblanc does a poor job in pushing the lane and harassing safely. This is an easy lane to win, but you're never going to be as useful in teamfights as this guy.

Notes:
  • Harass him as much as possible. Do not let him farm freely.
  • When the wave is even, stand in front and zone karthus out. Dodge his q's when you're zoning.
  • If he ults try to silence him. Even if he is under tower, always silence to him save your teammates. You can always distort back safely.

Verdict:
  • Very easy lane, but he can free farm.
  • You will never scale as well as him into late game, so don't think you're winning by not dieing in lane.

[champ/kassadin.png] Kassadin

This is actually pretty even and you should both respect each other's burst. What makes this guy annoying is that you can never finish a combo. He will silence you half way and run away. He is also pretty tanky because of his passive, so he will probably do the same damage with his q as you do, except he used a whole lot less mana than you did. If you are able to get a stun on him by your teammate anytime after 6, you can instantly burst him without a problem. By yourself, though, it is really difficult to do that. If he ever riftwalks to e-q you, I suggest you man up and continue running in his direction, and the moment the silence wears off, you pound him with everything you got.

He only has three damage abilities realistically and they are on a pretty long cooldown. His teamfight is very similar to yours, so if you have the chance to nuke, I suggest you do so.

Notes:
  • Easy lane until 6. AA and q harass him throughout lane.
  • Man up and take the silence and continue to run at him and punish him the moment the silence wears off.
  • Respect his damage at level 6 and don't let him get free harass on you.

Verdict:
  • Easy lane until 6.
  • Just as useful in teamfights if not shut down.
  • Leblanc has bigger nuke, but not as much mobility and sustain damage as Kassadin.

[champ/kennen.png] Kennen

This is almost as easy, if not easier than Ahri. He cannot AA harass you and it is very difficult for him to land shurikens on you. You can zone him very hard during lane and he won't have an answer to it. You should harass him as much as possible and poke him out of lane as much as possible. The only thing that can prevent kennen from dying to you in every single teamfight is his hourglass. If he is not able to get his hourglass, he is a sitting duck.

Notes:
  • Use all your skills to harass him.
  • Making him recall or killing him is all the same.
  • Delay his hourglass as much as possible.
  • Nuke him when he tries to flash ult on your team.

Verdict:
  • Extremely easy lane.
  • You shut his early, mid, AND late game.
  • An easy win if you shut him down.

[champ/kogmaw.png] Kogmaw

I have not played against ap kogmaw. I was always denied the ap mid whenever it comes up, but I imagine it will be extremely easy to kill him. He is a squishy champion before his RoA and he cannot harass you in lane. You can easily harass him with q-w and outpoke him with q-r.

Notes:
  • Have not played against this champion yet.
  • Take my tips with a grain of salt.
  • Should be easy to harass in lane and kill.
  • Very strong teamfight. Don't let him get too fed during mid game.
  • Don't aim for him in teamfights unless it's safe since he will probably be in the back.

Verdict:
  • Easy early game. Has potential for kogmaw to be a huge problem in late game.
  • Deny him farm and try to shut him down early.

[champ/malzahar.png] Malzahar

Notes:
  • No one plays him anymore.
  • My Season 1 Star champion that got me 1600.
  • Why does no one play him anymore? :(

Verdict:
  • Someone play him please, he's pretty strong.
  • Leblanc will crap on Malzahar. Too squishy.

[champ/mordekaiser.png] Mordekaiser

Pretty annoying champion, but you can outharass him if you are smart. Avoid being hit by his e too much and just accept the fact that your lane will be pushed. After you get level 4, you can look to do some signifgant damage on him. Always harass him if his shield is down. Position yourself away from your minions. Take the e like a man and burst through his minimal one target shield. Proceed to crap on him at level 6 once his shield is down. Rinse and repeat throughout lane.

Notes:
  • Play passive until you get level 4.
  • A jungle gank will be nice but not necessary.
  • Stand away from minions when you attempt to trade with him.
  • Don't stand in melee range where he can q you.

Verdict:
  • If you play smart, it is a very easy lane.
  • If pushed call for a jungle gank, gauranteed kill if you land the snare.
  • Pretty weak teamfight, just nuke him if he does a lot of damage still.

[champ/morgana.png] Morgana

Farm lane. Similar to karthus. She is actually very easy to lane against. Accept the fact that you will be farming on the tower most of the time once she reaches level 5. The difference is, is that she cannot harass you effectively at the tower compared to sion or galio. Contrary to popular belief, you can still burst her down and she will have no response back. Once you get blue, the lane becomes much easier and you will be able to push against her. Just poke her with q-r, and she will eventually become low enough for you to kill.

Her teamfight is very strong, so always try to nuke her. She will be able to get her hourglass a lot sooner than kennen, so pay attention to when she gets her hourglass.

Note:
  • Easy lane. You won't die to her.
  • Try to harass her while keeping mana up.
  • Her auto attack range very short, so try to put AA harass when she last hits. (Sometimes they blackshield in fear. You should chase them and nuke her when it comes off. Don't get hit by q)

Verdict:
  • Has strong teamfght.
  • She is a safer pick than karthus.
  • Try to out harass her.

[champ/orianna.png] Orianna

Easy lane. If you can dodge her skillshots, you will be able to out trade her. Don't let her AA you too much during lane since it will hurt a lot. Poke her with q-r as much as possible. Her teamfight potential is strong if you let her farm, so don't let it happen.

Notes:
  • Weak early game.
  • You will win the trades.
  • Don't let her safely harass you.

Verdict:
  • Strong teamfight if she is decently farmed.
  • Try to kill her in fights, but she will most likely be in the back.
  • She is a sustain damage fighter, not a nuker.
  • She can catch people pretty easily.

[champ/ryze.png] Ryze

Easy lane. You can out trade him with your silence so the best he will be able to do is q-w you. Make sure to out trade him and call for an early jungle gank. If ryze dies early, he will not be able to win his lane. He is very squishy until his RoA is built.

Notes:
  • Harass him all the time.
  • Ryze easily goes oom.
  • You will win every trade if you silence him.

Verdict:
  • Weak early game.
  • If he dies early, he will be at a huge disadvantage.
  • Sustain damage teamfighter.
  • You can still nuke him during teamfights.
  • He has very little AoE.

[champ/sion.png] Sion

Annoying lane. He is very susceptible to AA harass and q harass. During the early levels try to AA harass him as much as possible. When his shield is up, avoid getting hit by it. Distort away if he stuns you. He will most likely just push his lane. Always q-r harass him when his shield is down. Once you get DFG, you will be able to nuke him from 100-0 if his shield is down.

Notes:
  • Harass him early on.
  • Call for jungle ganks if he is pushed p.
  • Distort away if he stuns you.
  • Don't get hit by shield.

Verdict:
  • You won't die in lane.
  • He'll push his lane.
  • Don't let him farm when his shield is down.
  • His teamfight is very bad. Nuke him when he gets close to your team.

Copy pasted the old format for the rest. Will edit later.

[champ/swain.png] Swain

He actually has a pretty annoying harass. He should never be able to land his bind on you, effectively taking out half of his combo. Do not stay close to him during his ult, you can easily kite him with . He is quite squishy before his , so destroy him before he gets it. If he gets catalyst, you will need blue buff to beat him. At level 6 you can nuke him down to 30%-40% with q-r alone, all you have to do is land and to secure the kill.

Teamfights: You can actually still nuke him even when he gets a decent amount of hp. Make sure to ignite him after comboing him or he could potentially regain it all back. He has to be in the thick of teamfights to be a menace so try to burst him down to scare him off. Hopefully your teammates will finish him off before he can run away.

[champ/twistedfate.png] Twisted Fate

Very very easy lane. Be wary when his cards start shuffling. I usually back off until he uses the card then advance back to zone him out. At level 6 you can either go for the kill or just safely poke him out of lane. A simple q-r will almost kill him, you just have to worry about him killing your teammates. I suggest pushing him out then roam like crazy. He is very easy to push your lane against because he's going to be scared shitless against you. Try not to roam unless you know he has just backed or is very low because they can easily catch you in their jungle with his ultimate. Tf will have strong synergy with the same junglers you synergize with, so be careful when they appear.

Situations: Twisted fate may just farm with wild card only and be a little bitch like most karthus players. It's a smart way to play against Leblanc. Play safe then gank other lanes after 6. As a Leblanc player, you can't let this happen. If you see him MIA, you have to spam it scream it ping it out that he is gone. Usually you can tell which side he left the lane at.(went top went bot) Always say if tf recalled or not because he could be anywhere at that point. ALWAYS follow tf. If you get there before they all leave, you can always pick up a kill to make it go a little bit even.

[champ/veigar.png] Veigar

Very weak laner. You should dominate him and ALWAYS q-r him when you have the chance. You basically win if you force him to back many times. Blink over his stuns because most veigar players lead their combo with the stun. If he is the one being aggressive and he misses the direct stun, turn around and q-r-w-e. This includes blinking over the stun wall.

Teamfights: He is similar to you in the way that he can effectively take out one person out of a fight instantly. He has just a little more utility than you with the AoE stun, but you have the blink advantage. It's best to not show yourself and wait for the moment he lands a stun on your teammate, you blink in range for - - . He should instantly die and hopefully you did this before he could nuke your teammates.

[champ/vladimir.png] Vladimir

Very easy lane to win. Your poke is better and you can silence him to prevent him from pooling away. Q-R alone destroys his HP and it silences him so he cannot dodge the rest of your spells. It's a much better idea to go big man mode on Vladimir than poking because he can gain a lot of health back with spellvamp and his q. If you decide to poke q-r, try to zone him from creeps and kill him with a standard combo.

Teamfights: He does get stronger than you late game and that's when I depend on my AD carry and go for the bruiser. You can still nuke him down, but you will only take 60-70% of his hp which isn't a whole lot when he has a 2.5k health pool.

[champ/xerath.png] Xerath

His ultimate is useless against you. Anyone with a blink beats xerath, but Leblanc tears him apart. Her silence can stop his ultimate mid way through and he has to be pretty stationary which sets up an easy .

Teamfights: Since he is in the way back, I recommend sneaking around to get a better shot on him. If that is not possible, you can go for the next high priority target. You should have pummeled him in lane so hard that he is drastically behind on items.

[champ/ziggs.png] Ziggs

Leblanc tears Ziggs apart. Her range is on par with Ziggs, so he cannot poke her down. She has an instant blink to get in range for q-r which takes off the majority of his hp. All his "Zoning" abilities are laughable with distortion. It will be really difficult for him to land ANY skillshots on you. I love to w-q-r poke him and just repeatedly send him back to base.

Teamfights: Easy champ to kill. Shouldn't be a problem to reach him since he will most likely go for someone else. He is a high priority target if you didn't demolish him in lane. He still does a lot of damage without many items so make sure to take him out.

[champ/zilean.png]

Don't mess with him before level 6. If he bombs a minion, you can advance on him, but don't burn all your pots trading hits with him. You can easily nuke him from 100%-0% at level 6. Sometimes I do it so quickly that he doesn't have the reactions to ult himself on time. Anyone you q-r will immediately be followed up by an ult from zilean. Take advantage of this and q-r someone then change targets and start damaging them with your basic spells.
Spectator Mode Patch (1.0.0.139)
[items/deathfire-grasp.png]
Deathfire Grasp
Now builds out of Blasting Wand and Kage's Lucky Pick (total cost reduced to 2600 from 2610)
Now grants 80 Ability Power and 15% Cooldown Reduction, from 60 Ability Power, 12 MP5, and 15% Cooldown Reduction
Increased cast range to 750 from 650
Active base damage changed to 25% +4% per 100 AP of the target's current Health from 30% + 3.5%

Comments:

This is pretty big. Leblanc may be more effective in ranked games and be able to snowball a game harder than she previously did. The change from [items/fiendish-codex.png] to [items/blasting-wand.png] is a decent upgrade, but what I love most is the increase in range. A 100 increase in range is HUGE and now the item synergies even better with your q. It is also now easier for beginners to use it in conjunction with Leblanc. The nerf on % damage is minor and I consider it to be a base 29% damage with doran rings and the +80 ap from the item itself. When I have time, I will test this item and experiment by getting it after doran rings.

[items/will-of-the-ancients.png]
Will of the Ancients
Now builds out of Blasting Wand and Hextech Revolver
Total cost increased to 2500 from 2100, combine cost reduced to 440 from 465

Comments:

Thanks to this nerf on WotA, champions who have relied on it heavily before, will now have a harder time sustaining in lane, something great for Leblanc. You could call this an indirect buff for her. The change from [items/amplifying-tome.png] to [items/blasting-wand.png] is pretty big because people will actually have to save up gold to buy it now. With this change, your opponent won't be able to upgrade to second-tier boots AND get another component of the WoTa.

Overall thoughts:

This patch is an indirect buff to Leblanc and any other champion that has great synergy with [items/deathfire-grasp.png]. I am looking forward to playing Leblanc more frequently in my ranked games. Let me know how she does in the comments below!

    new build:

start flask, 5 pots and a ward.

Rush NLR then boots 1 then DFG if you're manly, otherwise go for the Sorc shoes and double dorans. Going the manly route is not always the best choice but it does allow you to dominate some lanes absurdly hard.

You counter Katarina. Play Leblanc as you would play against Karthus by : going aggressive really early, preventing her free farm, and if you can't kill her then just harass her down and zone her.

@LittleBIueSmurf That void staff just isn't enough to guarantee kill potential on your lane while it does make your mid game weaker. Your gold comes from kills, not cs. If you're stuck trying to scrape gold together on your DFG when your ADC has already begun taking your mid farm you're a sitting duck with no good way to catch back up.

As soon as you notice you can no longer lane against your enemy you end laning phase. Try and make agressive plays by ganking and warding jungle, stop caring about your tower. The last thing you want in this situation is staying in lane, hiding behind tower and getting forced back every other wave while your enemy builds a huge gold/exp advantage.

Sometimes the person I lane against buys one or two neg cloaks so am I supposed to rush a void or try gank lanes?
